Classic Vietnamese fare with coffee, juice drinks, beer, wine & shots in a basic storefront.
I visited this place just before closing, and the soup was rich and flavorful. The broth, simmered all day, delivered a satisfying taste. A solid choice for a comforting bowl of pho!
I ordered my grilled pork vermicelli with fried spring roll through Uber Eat. They added extra protein in it which i was very touching for the generosity, sincerely thank you. But it soon became a severe problem to me, the extra ingredient, grilled chicken, was undercooked, some parts are even still raw. I did contact to Uber Support for my problem. The reason i write this comment is to draw your attention, please next time cook your poultry meat to the desired temperature, as it contains bacteria and virus. “Chicken CANNOT cook as medium-rare like Beef”.
The restaurant is big, always clean and gives the vibe that it is a family restaurant. They take your order very quickly, and they also serve you the food quickly, the portion is good, and honestly the taste is good. The pho has good flavor, the broth is very fragrant and they serve you a good proportion of noodles . ❤️ It is a quiet and family atmosphere, it is a good place to dine.
Bright and spacious spot for Vietnamese eats. Tried the specialty Bo Xao Ca Tim with a side of rice and quite enjoyed it, especially the eggplants and the sauce.
I’ve visited this place 4 times this year and times I’ve dined here, the food was consistently delicious. They have the best fried spring rolls for sure. They’re large not like other places where they charge so much for 2 small pieces. The soup is so good - seasoned just right and clear too. They give generous serving for the price. I’ve ordered the grilled pork & chicken and they top it with a fried egg - equally tasty and served with vegetables to balance the plate. Also tried their shrimp mango salad & fried shrimp chips - both are fresh & tasty. They are fast in serving & are accommodating to their customers. The room can be better maintained with increasing the heat during cold months but overall, I highly recommend this place if looking for good food & service. I will definitely be back for the food.
The menu is a bit confusing because of the translations but the staff are quite helpful. The broth was very good. I liked that they bring you a plate of bean sprouts and basil to add if you like. The beef was nice, the chicken was a bit dry but this is to be somewhat expected since it’s chicken breast. Good amount of rice noodles, next time I might ask for less noodles and more bean sprouts. Overall, the best part was the broth and is the reason I will be back! Well balanced and not too salty.
Love this place ! This is my go to resto for takeout in the neighborhood. It's super quick, portions are big (enough for me to make two meals out of it) and they have so many options on the menu. Owner is very friendly, never seen him take a day off. Today I got the Eggplant beef dish with a side of rice and a roll (the roll is half eaten in the picture 🤣). I really like their beef lemongrass dish and pad thai as well. When my dad is in town he always makes sure to stop by and grab some crispy rolls.
This is some great Vietnamese food, in a really central area and with so much variety. The portions were big with a very fair ratio to their price. Their A6 - fried eggplant and tofu - was one of my favorite dishes. I'd be happy to come again.
Amazing food, and the staff are lovely!
best spring rolls in the city! love their vegetarian menu, especially their pan fried rice noodles.
The best pho in the city! Great service and very friendly staff.
Best in the city
Perfect place! Pho is great, mango salad with shrimp - they put a lot of shrimps in it. Large portions, great taste, quick service.
I refrain from giving a comment. I think Vietnamese cuisine is not for me. Apart from that, the location is correct, the service is very fast and the portions are generous.
This is by far the closest to authentic Vietnamese cuisine that Ive tried in the city.
Older gentleman was nice at first but it became a weird experience as his service wasnt the best.
Over the last 2 months Ive ordered 10 times from this restaurant, both on my Uber account and my boyfriends account. The food taste soooo goood imo and the price is very reasonable too. I ordered hot pot today, little worried that dont know how it come out cuz it is a bit expensive but when I see the food Im so happy. Never got to dine in here but Ill try it some times too. Overall 11/10
Other then the food being pretty standard, the service was terrible and I caught them trying to over charge me, the were adding extra good to the bill and adding extra money to the bill. Pls review your bill before paying dont let him distract you to just pay.. Be careful going here..
We have been going here for many many years, I bet close to 20 years now. In my experience it is the best Vietnamese cuisine in the city. Love the family and have enjoyed watching them grow and thrive. We traditionally order the beef soup, fried spring rolls, and shrimp rolls. We also enjoy the grilled chicken and pork, and who can t love those crispy fried eggs on top! In fact, I m looking forward to getting takeout later today! :) Kid-friendliness: They love kids, families have been enjoying this place for years.
Food prices have increased alot, more than actual inflation rates.
Food prices were creased too much! This course was $17 in total and not worth the money!
The food was fine, but the restaurant itself is grubby and freezing cold! I dont think the heat was on, at the beginning of January. Ridiculous. Even the staff were wearing coats.
Very good food. Waitress was very polite
Had the grilled pork vermicelli with spring rolls, and the mung bean shake. So delicious! Staff very kind as well.
One of the best place for vegetarian Vietnamese food. Absolutely love their egg fried noodles and fresh rolls, spring rolls and vegetarian Pho. Highly recommended!
Stopped by to grab some dinner with some friends and had a very pleasant experience. I had the Seafood + Vegetables with the fried egg noodles and the spring rolls, and loved every bite. Portion sizes are definitely worth the prices. Good vibes all around and would definitely come back to try the other dishes they had available.
always the best, fast, afforable, and so much flavour! grilled chicken bun and spring roll, well done beef pho, veggie congee, shrimp cold roll. everything perfect. they never skimp out on veggies, coriander, the chicken is grilled perfectly. nothing to complain about and very consistent. we order almost once every 2 weeks! Vegetarian options: many great tasting veggie options! and im not even vegetarian!
Excellent food, soup specifically, but the take out portions seem to vary and the broth especially. Frustrating as they dont care for consistency or optimal food quantity on the take out. That said great food which is 9x out of 10 fresh.
A hidden gem, my go-to spot for pho and Vietnamese food. Much better than most Vietnamese restaurants in the area that get over-hyped.
I placed my first order through a delivery app, and when my food arrived, I was excited to try it. After a couple bites, I suddenly feel something in my mouth that clearly isnt food... Upon further inspection, it appeared that someone decided to place a wet rolled up napkin in the middle of my sandwhich... I couldnt believe it. Fortunately it was only a napkin, and not something much worse. I decided it was just a strange mistake and I would give this place another chance, since the food was otherwise quite good, and very affordable. Big mistake... I place another order the following week, and the exact same thing happens. I guess I only have myself to blame, but I still cant believe this happened. Theres really no excuse for something like this, and I almost have to wonder if this was done intentionally. Do not eat here unless you enjoy eating wet napkins.
Pho Phoenix, price is a bit higher than most Vietnamese restaurants but there s one reason to that. Their beef is very well chosen and preserved. Everything is so well prepared and cooked. This is a must go restaurant even though it s a little pricy. Food quality is more important. Real diners know what I mean.
My experience back in a few months but didnt have time to write about it. I called a seafood noodle through delivery app. I even specified to put only shrimp and the shredded pork. If they cant make it, for professional, they should have called me back to confirm or cancel the order. And you know what, they ended up give me a bowl with liver and cuttle, which I have allergy with. I called the store, the old man owner said that it was my fault I didnt note it. I was like, what!! Would you like to see the screenshot of the order, I can send it. He kept excusing he didnt see it and it was my fault. Well, if you dont understand English words then just tell me you dont understand. Im willing to sympathize, dont make up something aint true. Your fault becomes your guests fault. Nice try! I even called him back a few times but he said do not call him anymore and hang up. Hope this help you, future visitors
Great place with tons of seating and beautiful outdoor view food was delicious staff were quick and kind and prices were reasonable.
Local place, opened for long time
Nicest people runnning the place, great food & clean place Vegetarian options: Yes9 Dietary restrictions: Yes Kid-friendliness: Yes
Really nice, good selection and pretty affordable. Long list of dishes! Lots to choose from!
AVOID if you have any dietary restrictions. UNSAFE for people with allergies. The vegetarian spring rolls I ordered had pork in them. I told the owner but he gaslit me and kept insisting that it was just taro until I lifted a large obvious chunk of pork out of the food and handed it to him. He took it, wordlessly, and replaced my order, but the next spring rolls he brought ALSO had pork in them. (Ive eaten their veggie spring rolls before and theyre different.) Im not sure what was going on, but clearly they cant keep track of their ingredients. I do not eat pork, so it was upsetting to unwittingly consume it. I explained this and he was completely unapologetic. (I understand that mistakes happen, but it felt disrespectful that he wouldnt listen or apologize.) He still charged me for the spring rolls even though he never brought me vegetarian ones. I asked him to remove them from my bill but he refused several times before doing so. I have never written a negative review before, and I honestly feel a little weird about doing it, but I dont want anyone else with an allergy or dietary restriction to end up in the same situation.
great food, portion n service would def come back
Many, many good things to say about this place - portion sizes are very generous and prices reasonable (compared to other restaurants). Food is so well seasoned and cooked, but their pho broth is particularly flavourful with all sorts of spices involved. The service is very fast, but it was also rather empty when I went.
Ordered vermicelli with 4 extra servings of meat/protein and a banh xeo with no shrimp (allergic). They packaged the banh xeo with the extra meat/protein in one container, so my banh xeo was partially sitting on top of the Chao tom - partially separated by foil. Didnt get to eat the banh xeo due ro cross contamination. The banh xeo didnt look great as the inside was filled heavily with mung bean and the sprouts was cooked, in a separate bag. The vermicelli didnt include lettuce or peanuts. And they only gave us 1 container of nuoc man. Cucumbers were cut up for elephants.
Owner did not take our order. Gave us a piece of paper to write our own order, we did. He did not confirm with us what we ordered and delivered BOTH of our orders wrong. He then blamed and scolded us for bad penmanship and went as far as rolling his eyes on us. EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional. Also he did not let us see the bill and added his own tip. We later found out he overcharged us. Flavor was pretty good but will NEVER come back due to this sketchy behavior.
Had been eyeing this place for a long time, and was very disappointed. I had a beef pho and my partner a beef stew. The pho was tastless dish water with tastless noodles, and the beef stew was extremely fatty and greasy. Do not recommend whatever.
Solid option if you are looking for Vietnamese. Fresh and delicious with large portions. Fresh rolls stuffed with lots of shrimps. Big crispy spring rolls. Stir fried eggplant with garlic sauce is highly recommended. Tender pieces of eggplant in a delicious garlicky sauce, served with fried tofu. Bò Tái Chanh, rare beef in lime, is well balanced, sweet and sour notes, with a bit of fish sauce funk. Service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend for sure. Vegetarian options: Stir fried eggplant with garlic sauce is a must try. Tender pieces of eggplant in a garlicky sauce, served with perfectly crisped tofu.
The food was okay, but the bill had an automatic 20% service charge that we were not informed about (we were only 2 people). The owner simply charged us an extra 20% - we were not told about this charge in the beginning nor was it shown on the menu. Please beware!
The food here is excellent. My only issue is their shady business practices. These people automatically add a tip to your bill even if youre a table for one they will add a tip to your bill without you even knowing And then will not say anything Youll have 15 percent added to your bill as a tip but they dont say anything and many customers including myself have been scammed into this and even add another tip on top of this bec we dont even realize they have just stolen or helped themselves to a tip This happened to me yesterday and when I confronted her about this I was told it was her point of sale machine that does this automatically This is absolutely unacceptable Its actually theft. They do this to everyone. I understand its a stand for large tables of 8 or more. But for a table of one. This place has been ripping off individual customers/tables Beware they are thieves and while Im all for tipping and would have definitely left her the 15 percent because the food was great... Thats up to me. We decide how much and even if we want to tip or not. Not the server.
The food was delicious. The only thing I didn t appreciate was the Auto-gratuity applied to the cost, and to top it off, applied to the AFTER tax amount. Not cool. We were only 2 people eating. I would have likely tipped a similar amount, but that would have been my choice.
Great tasting food, Family owned and operated, friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Liked: deer head inside restaurant. The two TVs. The over share I heard from the first date nearby. Disliked: undercooked chicken , over peppered food, plates and bowls dirty, and automatically adding tip. We ordered the chicken vermicelli, the caramelized pork ribs, and the spring rolls. Will not be back. Vegetarian options: A full page of veggie options. Kid-friendliness: They had 1 high chair and 1 booster seat.
Great staff and service moving back to the neighbourhood in a few weeks and can t wait to get my fav pho again. The owner is a gem
Expensive, quite rude owner, mediocre food... Like the rice was so sticky and bland I cant believe I paid 20 bucks for it
Person 1: Not crowded, sick Person 2: beautiful relaxing atmosphere, type of place you don t feel judged Person 3: they don t Ph ck around
W food W owner W restaurant
My family and I have been going to Phoenix Restaurant my entire life. It s our go-to restaurant every time we can t work out what to make for dinner. Any time any member of our family is sick, we order pho or congee for take out. I cannot rave about their food enough, their staff is incredibly friendly and kind, and the location is amazing; especially if you choose to dine in around sunset. Our go-to order as a family is the grilled chicken and pork on rice with a fried egg on top. They also have amazing vegetarian dishes with mock-meat if that s your style.
Really, really good pho ha (chicken pho), delicious spring rolls & quite good veggie options. Unlike other pho joints, liquor licence and charming patio. What more do you want?!
Best spring rolls in the city ! They are always generous with portions, my go to spot
Really delicious home made Vietnamese food with generous portions! Plus they have an entire veggie menu for vegetarians or vegans! friendly service too.
Amazing, flavorful food with generous portions The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend this restaurant and the a6 stir fried eggplant and tofu, it was so full of flavor and Im so glad another review recommended it. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options for my husband to choose from!
Excellent food and service. We ordered the A6 eggplant and tofu side dish based on another reviewer and would strongly recommend it. I had the A10 vegetable and tofu pho, flavour was great and the portions were generous. My wife had the beef pho and was similarly impressed. We had an order of deep fried spring rolls sent to our table by mistake instead of my wifes pho initially, they were quick to correct and had her meal to us promptly, and even gave us the spring rolls on the house. I definitely wont be leaving those off our future orders; Im not normally a big spring roll fan, but these were phenomenal. As soon as I had my first bite I told my wife she had to try them! We will definitely be coming back here again. Very happy with the quality and quantity of the food, as well as the service.
BEST VIETNAMESE SPRING ROLLS AROUND! Food is exceptional here & their vegetarian options are quite special & delicious! One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in town in my opinion.
Amazing pho broth and deep fried rolls
(Note: I heard from our Vietnamese group that this restaurant treats their Vietnamese student employee bad and dont even pay for training hours, even yell at them, so I decided to give them less star. Sorry and hope you do something hood for community as well as keep your restaurant good!!) THEY MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST IN TOWN, BUT THEY MAKE FOOD WITH BEST QUALITY. Tasty, reasonable price with REALLY big portion, and really balance!!! Absolutely worth your money!!! My favourite one is Bun Bo Hue, so good!! Sometimes I am done eating rice/ vermicelli but there are still a lot of toppings left I think they focus on take-out and delivery service more than dine-in. Highly highly recommend take out or order delivery from this restaurant!! It s my go-to place for Vietnamese food in the town! I dont really have official good pics for their food, I will updates w better quality pics
Best Vietnamese food ive ever had.
Very consistent soup, been reliable for a whole decade of my life. I have many core memories here. The dine in experience last time was a bit stressful but it might have been because of covid.
Mike consistently delivers solid Vietnamese food at decent prices with a sense of humour and community. Get 124 for a good mix of flavours
Really fresh food, large portions, and affordable. Chicken udon, chicken pho, and sweetgrass tofu are some of my favourites. Also there are $6 draft pints.
Terrible food and customer service. Cooks and staff are sloppy, not worth it.
BEST Vietnamese food ever! I live around the corner and order for pickup, never takes longer than 15 minutes and is always piping hot and so fresh tasting. All the trimmings and toppings like basil, sprouts, sauces, etc, provided and the serving sizes usually feed me twice. I get the shrimp with broken rice and the veggie pho, delish veggie broth and excellent veggie fried spring rolls. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.
Straightforward no frills spot for good Vietnamese food on Dundas West. Owner and staff are friendly enough but youre here for the food: chicken and pork skin rolls are awesome, and soup is tasty and delicious. While not possible now because of the pandemic, done in is nice with lots of space between and at tables. Prices are slightly higher than most but food is so good. This place is in my top three in the city!
They have amazing Rotis and pakora not bad
Pho here is really good
Many veggie options, including rice dishes, appetizers and of course, vermicelli. Owner is a sweet heart and always makes recommendations that do not disappoint. I miss dining in but I just finished a delicious lunch in the park from this amazing establishment.
Amazing food, great service
Best spring rolls in the universe
This place is bangin! Come thru and get some authentic vitanamese food.
10/10. Should be 5 stars. Eat here if you an authentic Vietnamese experience
Once upon a time this was my favourite pho spot in the city. Sadly, I just returned and the quantity and quality were both lesser while the price skyrocketed by at least 25%. I ordered a large chicken pho with grilled chicken instead of boiled and a small bowl of veg on the side - owner brings the bill and its $21!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I wont be going back.
Best pho in the area! Ive been coming here for a few years now and every time I leave with a happy and full stomach. The owner is so friendly and has great energy. The food is fresh and clean. As a veggie, I always get the tofu fresh rolls, the hot & sour soup or the veggie pho. They also have veggie broth which is very tasty.
Best pho place in Toronto. The soup is really good and tasty. Also the spring rolls are awesome. Highly recommended!
Very good! The best in Toronto.
First pho experience and it was delicious! Attentive server. Outdoor patio was great.
Best bang for the buck at least in this neck of the woods. Large portions, delicious food and always good service.
Standard Vietnamese cuisine with no disappointments for the last 20+ years I ve been visiting them.
Simple food with a good price. (editted because I didnt know about the taxes rules in Ontario. Thanks for clarifying)
This is a casual, neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant on College Street. The fish congee here is excellent. (The 5-star rating is basically for the fish congee.) Congee is sort of a rice soup that comes in various thicknesses and the congee here is light and very flavourful. The fish are slices of tender whitefish. If youve never had congee before, you might be pleasantly surprised. To me this is comfort food so maybe best had on a chilly night. The deep-fried spring rolls here are good too.
Chicken wasnt crispy and moist inside, pork chop too thin. Ive had better in that place.
I have tried too many diffrent Vietnamese pho in toronto sofar this restaurant is the best when you order bowl of soup you get more than enough in your bowl
Pancakes and pho good as usual
Sad to see this place go downhill. Supported them during the lockdowns and now they enforce segregation policy. Shame on you.
I tried their bun mam and bun bo hue, both are okay... bbh doesnt taste at all like how its supposed to, I feel like they use a pre-made paste instead of making their own satay sauce. Idk how to describe it but there was zero lemongrass flavour. Lots of meat and toppings, well-balanced portions. Most places only give 2 pieces of shrimp for bun mam but I think there were 4-5 here. A bit heavy on msg/sodium.
We used to only go to the place across the street. But once it got shutdown we tried out Pheonix and it became our new local default for Vietnamese. The food is great as is the price. It delivers exactly what you are looking for from a local Vietnamese restaurant.
Tasty, authentic Vietnamese restaurant. I cannot wait to come back.
Super fantastic vegetarian crispy noodles dish, done just like in Vietnam. Very few Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto have this dish. A large selection of vegetarian dishes and well packaged takeout.
Came to eat here with a friend and ordered 2 XL 106 s with the menu clearly stating they were $14.40 each (It even says on the website). When we finished and went to pay, to my surprise we were each charged $17.90. I asked why I was over charged and he said service, while I was completely unaware of a service fee. It s funny because a while back I ve eaten here once before and had the same problem. This time I came afterschool wearing my schools uniform and yet was overcharged. I think it s fairly unethical to take advantage of some high school students who are just looking for a cheap filling dinner. I came here hoping for a cheap bowl of pho instead of the place on Dundas that charged $16.50 for a large. Being overcharged I might as well have went where there instead, definitely won t be coming back. (Edit: I just saw the reply and thank you for your swift response. I understand that it is customary to tip, however it is still known that tipping isnt completely or legally mandatory. Honestly I wouldve been more than happy to tip, however with the service charge that was automatically implemented and was completely not communicated visibly or verbally, I felt robbed and exploited. Most restaurants display such a charge on the bottom of their menu or on a sign, however without anything as the customer we are oblivious to such a fact. To add, most auto gratuity are implemented in restaurants for groups of people, typically the size of a party. However in my case is was literally just a friend and I. Id like to add that we both didnt order much other than 2 bowls and didnt bother to receive nor ask for water, drinks, or any more orders of food. Hence the only service we received was the initial ordering, getting the food, and having to walk up ourselves to pay at the counter. I appreciate the kind service, although general and minimal service like that is the reason why your employees get paid by the hour. As someone who used to work in a fast food restaurant where the demands of quality service, food, and cleanliness are much higher, not once did I find myself demanding or receiving a gratuity tip. Even when I had to make the food, serve customers, clean the disgusting tables, and more. Id like to apologize for sounding cheap or rude but as a student, cheap meals are definitely attracting, which is why I love eating Pho as it commonly meets those qualities. Overall, the pho bowls were great and Id love to come back for another bowl, however with my last experience (Also one the first times being blindly charged) Im going to stay within the comfort of my other local pho spot.
I just ordered the congee today. This is just so so perfect. Absolutely reorder next week.
My spot for the rice dishes
I dont know why I keep coming back. The owner is one of the rudest Ive ever encountered in Toronto. Really should have learned my lesson the first time and gone across the street to the other pho joint.
Im a pho Addict and usually have my go-to spots but wanted to try something new. So glad I did! Best spring rolls ever and delicious pho :)
Phoenix Pho! Mmmm so good. Huge fan of pho soup in general! Been to many different restaurants for pho, Phoenix by far takes the lead. Outside of the soup some if not most of the other dishes are incredible. Highly recommend the veggie spring rolls! If I am in the area I will always make a point to come in for a bowl of soup! Cheers
Fantastic food and family friendly!
This is our family go-to. Fast service, lots of space, great food at fair prices. Fried spring rolls are nice and crispy and the grilled pork rolls are perfectly seasoned. The pho broth isnt greasy or too salty and comes with lots of basil. They take credit/ debit which is handy.
Best spring rolls in the city
Consistently delicious, fresh and affordable. Friendly and patient owners.
Really accommodating for different diets and great service.
The food was great at fair price
PHO!! Got to love this place always great soups and soo money worth it! Big portions meats and veggies of all choices and you can also spice it up if ud like. When i have a congested nose on my way in nothing better than a hot soup to make ur breathing better :) now im full and ready to hit the couch thanks again
Decent food, very fast. Service can be uneven, but the quality is consistent.
Went in for a pick up durning corona times. After I paid I went to the washroom. We returned and was told I didn t pay yet, with receipt rectified that. Then it was clear they had mixed up orders, but insisted I had the right bags. I asked 5 times if he was sure Yes yes don t worry . Went to the car and decided to check the bags and containers. Nope wrong order, meat dishes. Went back in after opening someone else s order (during corona time). We went through the containers to show him it wasn t mine. Went to the back, came out with My Order was reassured with don t worry don t worry when I asked this is the vegan order? Took it home. Veggie wontons also had meat wontons mixed among them. 15 minutes after we finished eating the remainder of the soup noodles and tofu, 4 out of 5 members of my family had immediate and repeated diarrhea. NEVER I REPEAT NEVER GO HERE!
Amazing Noodle soup!!! chucky beef pieces! love it!
This is the spot!!! Dont sleep on it
We love Phoenix on College! It s a family run operation that we ve been going to for years. Great vegan options! The veggie spring rolls, lemongrass tofu w/ vermicelli and A18 are some of our faves. The pho is amazing too. Always fresh and super tasty!
The worst Vietnamese restaurant in my life EVER. Took 30mins for food, took 10 mins to pay the bill cause the owner needed to chat with his friend, and terrible services.
Best pho in the city.
Good food served quickly. What could be better?
Not bad but not great. We came here only because Pho Linh across the street was packed and we didn t want to wait. But if I had a choice I d go to Pho Linh because the food is overall much better.
Not to good pho best its cheap
Great quality food and service
The best Pho in Toronto. Prices are great, place is clean. I highly recommend it.
I had a pretty good time going here
I love this place. The food is ridiculously delicious. My friend brought me here, and I need to come back ASAP. Comfortable atmosphere, incredible food, great prices.
Not the prettiest of places but best pho weve ever had!
clean
Good food n location but not the best customer service.. doesnt feels like they have any of our Canadian courtesy.. not polite or accomadating rather a take it or leave it attitude.
Decent pho .
The food is very varied and of reasonable quality, with dozens of dishes offered. The prices are definitely honest. The interior, however, is very simple, the furniture looks like that of a fast food restaurant.
Great food. Cheap. Good service. Ignore the casually racist negative reviews.
Lovely Banana bread
its alright, authentic Vietnamese food. a bit too salty for my taste but prrtty good.
Food sucks, too oily for everything. If you wanna see an oldschool workplace, come here and youll see the owner yells at the staffs every single minute. Had eaten here once and waited for the food for 30 mins then the staff came out and told me the food was out of order so I had to choose smt else then 10 mins later she came out and told me its out of order also so I have to call the traddition old school pho but its so miserable tbh. Too oily, few slices of beef, few noodles and too much broth. Ordered a XL but feel like a XS lol. Never come back. Just try the Pho Linh in the other side of the street, much better!
Good food at pretty good prices.
The food is inexpensive and filling. The service is good too. Unsure why this place is unpopular but one meal is good enough
I got intoxicated!
Mike (owner) serves up the standard repertoire of Vietnamese dishes in a clean comfortable and largish space. Very little to fault here, if you are looking for pho/com/bun... and he is friendly talkative gentleman. Suggest 124 (Bun)...
Honestly the dudes right i tried it and it has to be the best pho ive ever had. Im eating it now and im in heaven. Good work guys
Food good. Not huge portions of meat in soups. Good service and well lite place. Clean washrooms
We really love enjoying their food and most important going there again and again when step in we feel like comfortable because of their involvement and they way their staff behavior with us every thing is clean and cool there very soon i will come back enough for today now let me enjoy food
Food is ok, service is friendly. Fish sauce is blah.
Just good Vietnamese. Typical dishes but well made.
This place makes good broth for ridiculous prices. The environment is a bit lacking, and even in the winter its cold in the restaurant, but the soup keeps you hot. They also give generous proportions.
Salty soup, oily spring rolls poor services, not going there again.
its nice. i like it.
The quality is good. Price is o.k.a.y. the quantity is very poor... a large here, is a small/ medium in any other vietnamese place in Toronto. Spring rolls are good though.
Service good and good food.
Chicken cold rolls are yummy BBQ. Service was not perfect.
Great place for authentic Viet cuisine. The menu is not overly burdened by the usual barrage of random dishes and this means that the kitchen can focus on executing the classics. Bu , Phó, and fresh rolls are my personal favorites!
Good place for people that love to enjoy vietnamese atmostphere, not usual busy , whole family working there. Pho is okay, they serve also hot pot ( thai style) which is good for group. The best thing i like is their patio( summer beer) or seating beside glass and enjoy their coffee.
Great pho and rolls. Their dinners are great too. Priced reasonably and they take debit unlike other pho places.
We have been coming to this place for over 10 YEARS. Hands down, best Pho soup in Toronto! (Also, their soup doesnt have an overpowering star anise flavor, thank goodness!)
First time here. First impressions interior is dated...back to the 90s! Tv had golf on, and only 2 waitstaff it appears. One older gent and and younger lady. The pair could be father daughter or husband and wife or just Co workers. But she mainly does most of the work might even cook as well! Hes a more supervisory role. Anyways service is polite but curt and efficient but a bit cold. Food is just on par with other Vietnamese pho places nothing to write home about but I must give mention the the fact they have a large vegetarian menu option available for those who are vegetarians. Probably the largest I can remember! I was impressed with this fact. I would retrun if in the neighborhood but would absolutely recommend for those who are vegetarians and like Asian food!!!
The Pho here is always good, The fresh fruit shakes are some of the best ive ever had
Im a regular. A gem in the city! Highly recommend!
Yummy mango salad! Staff were excellent!
Great food for a reasonable price. Super quick service.
Fast, cheap and cheerful! Good Pho
I had beef stew which was very oily with not a ton of flavour but a nice change from plain pho. Partner had lemongrass beef. Not bad, not great.
Big servings, the flavor was actually okay; nothing spectacular compare to other Pho restaurants I ve been to (but I think you ll enjoy it when you re really hungry), customer service was okay.
Really pleasantly surprised. Initially was going to Pho Pin across the street, but gave Phoenix a try....great decision!
Go-to joint for Vietnamese, great pho broth, best fried spring rolls I think Ive ever had.
Really good spring rolls, good pho broth
Food very tasty
