Friendly, compatant wait staff, kitchen is fast, portions are ample and tasty . You can't beat the price. Really miss the buffet. Always have had a good experience there, been going there for years.
The food tasted bland, old, and dry. Ordering online, I tried to order just mixed veggies as advertised on the menu but it wouldn't let me proceed without picking a protein (chicken, pork, beef) so instead I order a small vegetable soup excepting it to be the typical broccoli, cabbage, carrots but got a cup of chopped bokchoy in water. Refreshing for some sips but... Not what I expected from the label "vegetables soup". Chicken balls are very thick breading. Beef ribs were tough and fatty. The sweet and sour sauce (red sauce) has stained every surface it's touched. I've never had a red sauce dyed so heavily red that fingers, faces, and table won't come clean. Chicken fried rice didn't have any vegetables in it which just added to the lack of vegetables in the meal I was already annoyed about. Chicken wings were crispy but had zero flavour. BBQ pork was tough- chewy and dry. I probably won't order here again.
We discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago and have never looked back. The Staff is friendly, the portions are huge and the price is wonderful. The food is always hot and fresh and tastes wonderful. Sure the restaurant decor is a little tired but we are there for the food not the drab decor.
Some of the worst "Chinese" food I've had the misfortune to eat. Most went straight into the garbage bin.Chicken-fried rice was dried out to point of being crunchy and the dish had an overall burnt taste. Honey garlic ribs were mostly hunks of fat and gristle with very little meat. Egg rolls are some of the smallest I've seen with perhaps a tablespoon of filling......but at least the ends were burnt. Beans sprouts were greasy, oily and limp. Chicken balls consist of 3/4 inch of tasteless dough surrounding a hint of what might be chicken. Even the sweet/sour sauce was a watered down, runny red liquid that was neither sweet nor sour.
It used be good when they had the buffet going and then covid hit and they haven't had it up since but then they still had all u can eat but order from a menu of choice at one rate price per person and that was ok. We recently went again to the restaurant and now they changed it again with no more all u can eat just order from the menu they have for takeout which now costs u more to eat there. So we we're dining in and waited almost a hr before our food came and then told us our order was ready and we didn't ask for that but we ended up taking it home instead I'm glad we did because the place was so dark and greasy smelling and the service was terrible and a dish cart in the middle of the floor with broccoli on it and other things not far from our table we we're not impressed. I used to enjoy this place and not now I've been there many of times in the past and would have reviewed this place differently had it been the way it was..."BETTER" there's a good chance now we won't go back because of this awful experience there. No more all u can eat and prices are more. Not very happy or impressed😠😕
Cheap outfit, replaced all of the meat with basement grown vegetables. Order a beef dish, get 2ish ounces of meat and a dish of broccoli or whatever cheapest that day. Shameful.
I used to go here before the lockdown and the food was good. From what I am reading from others it sounds like it has gone down hill. Hopefully they will get their game together and improve the food. The only thing I remember is them not keeping the refills full. A little frustrating when there is specific things that you really like and want more of . Went a few weeks ago and still no buffet I am sorry to say. We could eat in but, the prices have increased to much and we left. I am very disappointed and probably will not go back.
Not a bad place to eat at. Atmosphere is nice, and food is decent. Pricing was pretty good (I think my dinner buffet ended up only costing me around $11.50, $14ish with my drink). As far as buffets go, if you are looking fornone in the trenton area, Id recommend trying here. Only complaint really is service was a little slow at times when they werent very busy yet

I like this restaurant. Although the decor is tired, I enjoy the Chinese flare, its a must for me. The food is good and served really hot. The prices are the best in the region.

I have eaten here before. Never had an issue. Recently went, and my rice tasted burnt. Not tasting it themselves, it was close to them calling me a liar without saying the word. All the other food was amazing. Offered me plain rice. I accepted. Customers may not always be right, but Im no liar. I actually had someone try it and agreed...
Only one star because I couldn t give zero. Dinner for six and forgot chicken balls so I drove 15 minutes to get them and one box, 8 chicken balls for 6 people. Garbage.
I asked for Chow Mein with vegetables- she only wanted to give me onions as a vegetable. The paper menu was used and had food all over it. In frustration, I said it can t be that hard to get chow mein with veggies and she said I don t want you to eat here - I was the only person there. The place is filthy. I think I interrupted her as she had to get up from her table when I came in.
For the price of the food the food is great. Always enjoyed going here.
You would think as Chinese staff they would know how to cook rice considering that s part of Chinese food but nope I get my rice it s burnt I ask for a discount because of this and they say no discount so I give them a 1 star review do no recommend unless you like burnt rice
Giving one star simply because I have to. We ordered take out. This was the only Chinese food place open on a Sunday. The food was old and appeared to be reheated. It had little flavour. Noodles were hard and full of black burnt bits. Sesame chicken was so hard you couldnt get a fork in it. Dont waste your money here. We wasted $75.00 and ended up tossing it into the trash.

Insane food. Tbh the food used to sometimes be stail on buffet. But now they make it fresh and its crazy good. My favorite foods there are the sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken balls with the sweet and sour sauce. But if your not a chicken guy they have other options to
Went tonight spent 84 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 10 waste of money not enough food options for the price and chicken was so dry waited for ice cream no one came so we left

Never been in the place. Always get it delivered so I cant speak on the atmosphere or service. But the food, *mwah* fills that unfillable, insatiable need for Chinese food perfectly.
Been going here for over 25 years. Food is still as good as it was back then! Best chicken wings in town imo We miss the buffet, but the dinner for one is a great deal!

Saw on the menu that offer chow mein (bean sprouts). I got excited because I love chow mein and bean sprouts. So I ordered the shrimp chow mein thinking it was chow mein with a side of bean sprout. I was very disappointed to find out that theyre referring to the bean sprouts themselves as chow mein. Even though they are two completely different things. So I ended up with a plate full of bean sprout and 7 small shrimp. Will NEVER order from hear again because clearly you dont know what youre getting. If youre serving a plate full of bean sprouts, dont label it chow mein (bean sprouts), just put bean sprouts. Update: My husband ordered the dinner for one and couldnt finish it because he didnt like it. Couldnt even eat the egg roll and he loves egg rolls.
The beef and broccoli was not the greatest e t as the beef was tougher than leather. Do the rest was ok but it could be better

Not quite the buffet experience I was expecting. The service and food were both above and beyond! Ive ordered take out and it was fast hot and freaking tasty! Ive dined in. Same. Food is always good! The All You Can Eat was non existant. There was yelling and arguing coming out of the kitchen and they were more occupied with their delivery orders than eat in customers. The place could use a lick of paint AFTER a serious cleanup. Will NEVER eat there again and will make sure friends and family knows as well. Very disappointing!!! Not worth the cost of the meal.
Potentially one of the worst restaurants Ive ever been to, if I could give it negative stars I would! Youd think on mothers day theyd be prepared however there was no food in the buffet when asked if theyd be refilling soon the server hastily stated theyre trying and walked away. The server did not take any empty plates or refill our water, let alone even ask what we wanted to drink. Theyre trash was out on display at their front lobby with people waiting upwards of 50 minutes to get small amounts of food. Once finding some kind of food I felt like eating, I got back to my table to find that the food was cold, hard and barely edible. There are plenty of places in Trenton offering quality food this is not one of them and the owners should be ashamed to keep their doors open with this type of service. The price for lunch buffet is $18 dinner is $20 which is outrageous considering the quality of service and food.
Went to go for their buffet and was informed that they have a list of food you can order from and they will bring it out to you. They say its all you can eat but I personally dont want to have to wait for someone to bring me my food....they say they are doing thus because of covid yet they still had a full buffet running during covid when it was allowed. Will not being going back there again not worth the money!!

Like a couple of previous reviews. I think they are busy with takeout orders and no free staff for dine-in customers. I could hear the workers arguing in the back when I said I was leaving and didnt want to wait. They took my first small order for the buffet, but nobody came back afrer. I didnt have a second slip either, so.. I guess thats all I could eat! Haha I offered to pay half for the buffet, and for the beverage, then left. Cant blame the workers, they cant be everywhere at once.
Stopped to grab some lunch. Food was ready in 10 minutes, fresh and hot. Hands down the best chicken balls I have ever had!!!
On a scale of 1-to-ten Canton Restaurant rated a 2.5. Food was soggy and listless with very little flavor. Even the hot mustard was close to Guildens. Beef and broccoli.... beef was chewy and without flavor. Forget the General Tso!! Egg rolls soggy, same as Spring Rolls.

Would love to give this place zero stars. It is a horrible restaurant. Not enough staff, and they really do not even seem to care about their customers..do not go here whatever you do. You wont get to eat. And even the stuff they do bring you...you still wont get to eat.

Its a great place to eat at one of the oldest Cantonese restaurants in town in fact the only one I believe .... Pre pandemic that have / had a fantastic buffet , oh and the service has always been top notch

This is absolutely the worst Asian food I have ever tried , Threw my entire $65 order in the garbage. They have trouble even making simple Jardoo Wings. There is absolutely nothing Asian about the food from this place.
Use to love going to this restaurant but just wasted over $45 on disgusting food. They shoved it all into the container covered the chicken balls in sauce more breading then chicken made the food very soggy. Chow Mein had full cloves of uncooked garlic.

Spare ribs were dry and tough, chicken balls were soggy inside and the vermicelli was bad. My son was in the bathroom all night because of it and Im feeling sick to my stomach today. We will never eat there again!!
The food was good and plentiful. They did however mix up our order... I asked for a double order of their fried chicken wings and instead wound up with 1 order of wings and one order of chicken balls. Didnt realize it until we got home however and we live an hour away so did not go back. Overall we were quite happy with this restaurant.

If you order 1 takeout entrée, you get 1 complimentary side of steamed rice. If you order 4 takeout entrées, you only get 1 complimentary side of steamed rice. Told thats just the way it is.
I order my food and got it home they gave me 2 orders of children balls and for the shimp I got 2 and the rest was vegetables 12 dollars 2 shrimp and the portions very small and to saltiy its all bagged up so u dont know till u get home never going there again
We are new to the area and thought we would try this place.......mistake!!! Small portions for the price, ingredients are not fresh, food lacks flavor. Will not be going back !!

Food was good prior to the pandemic but the meal I brought home was horrendous. Honey garlics spare ribs were burnt severely, chicken balls and lemon chicken was so over cooked it was difficult to eat. Egg rolls were excellent. For a 50 dollar meal I feel I was robbed of the enjoyment of my first Chinese food dinner in months. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Food was good, buffet was decent. A lot of the dishes were empty but getting refilled as we were there. A couple things were a little overcooked, and chicken balls were 90% batter.
We arrived 1:15pm on December 31/18. We were greeted quickly and asked if we would like drinks right away. My wife and I went to the buffet that had a lot to choose from. We filled our plates with several of the dishes and return to our table. This is were it went down hill and quickly. The food was cold, stale, greasy, hard, and I could go on. My wife went to put her fork into the chicken balls it almost shot off her plate! We are not the kind of people that are hard to please or have great expectation for low prices. I actually have never left a bad google report about a restaurant, but after the total no care attitude of this I decided to. They knew the food was not good because they didnt even ask how our food was when we went to pay. We were only in the place maybe 7 minutes before we left our full plates. When I paid the bill I decided to tell them how horrible the food was, and all I got was sorry about that. Never again.

We got delivery 2 weeks ago and I have to say the food has gone down hill. Our rice had no taste to it, the chicken balls were dry and hard and the pork slices were dry. We use to love this place needless to say we wont be eating from here again. Very disappointed

Gone down hill will not go back
On a busy Saturday night They do not refill leaving food sitting for hours. Saw customers go up to serve themselves and dishes had maybe five or six ribs, four onion rings, one spoon full of sweet sour chicken one spoon full, meat dishes not refilled when almost empty in the two hours there. The bean sprouts and rice only thing refilled. It seemed they were trying to save money by using up all the old food prior to closing. We arrived at 5pm and most Chinese buffets are always refilling, not this one. The rice was tasteless, the meat dishes did not taste right, our whole group felt sick later. Overheard woman telling and showing waitress that big hair in in her elderly Fathers food, no one came to their table to address and obvious not his, as he was bald. When they were leaving they told us about hair and how they were charged full price. After they brought it up to other staff only 10% was removed. Usually you would see manager speak to customer but no one came. Bathrooms filthy, feces on floor, dirty in restaurant, would never return. Unless you want food poisoning and stale leftover food would never recommend. Only good thing, waitresses polite but seemed embarrassed about conditions for customers.

The place is one of the best lunch spots in Trenton. The food is normally hot and they have a great selection of American, American Chinese and dessert foods. There chicken wings are cooked well and the servers always keep your glass full. My only problem is the price keeps increasing. When I started going is was $7.50 now it is $12.25 but that is not to bad considering I usually dont eat supper on the days I go.

While the selection on offer is great, youll be lucky to get a few of the items as all 3 times we have been here they have been out of at least 2 for the entirety of our meal. The staff are abrupt and unfriendly and if you need beverages, dont bother waiting for them, just go up to the counter to order them. This is on top of an atmosphere that is mediocre at best. The furniture is all very worn down and uncomfortable. I am confident the chair I sat on was older than I am. It was torn and wobbly. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because the food for take out is fantastic. Except the chicken balls which are more bread than chicken.

Sadly, I was expecting better. We went in fairly early (just before 6) on a Friday evening recently and were quite disappointed by the buffet selection, or lack thereof. Most of the dishes were almost empty and next to nothing had been replenished when we went up to see what we might want for seconds so I cant say that it was very good value for the buffet price. I tried what turned out to be a disgustingly green & slimy on the inside egg roll, the rice and noodles were quite dried out and there was next to no beef in the beef & veg dish. Sorry to say that we are highly unlikely to return here.
