This was the worst food ever. Dont waste your money. NO indication on their menu if food is spicy which could be very harmful to people who are sensitive. Couldnt eat it as the spice was so intense, it over powered the food. Called to complain and asked for at least half a refund and they brushed me off. Wouldnt let me speak. lesson learned. Cant believe that they print they were voted #1 Chinese food restaurant for 17 years. Too bad.

It was terrible, overcooked and cold on delivery Ribs were hard and overcooked, chicken was very overcooked, could not cut thru it with a knife, so disappointing, a birthday lunch for my 90 yr old aunt. 6 ladies, not good. Food

Very disappointed! This used to be great food, but it was horrible tonight. Chicken balls were dried out and hard as a rock, along with egg rolls hard and full of grease. This was the worst meal I have ordered from a restaurant. Will not be going back.

No more buffet just take-out now which is got much more expensive and portions got smaller. Very bad combo, will not order again. Use to be my sons favorite buffet. They should bring it back.

Haven t been here in 4 years. The chicken balls were so hard could not eat them. Rice was crunchy. No flavor and just paid 105.00 and it was not good. Will not go back .

Most of the food is good, but the chicken fried rice is hit or miss sometimes its fine. Other times, it is really dry and seems reheated.

We have been ordering from this place for years and used to really enjoy the food. Our last two orders from here have left us with instant regret. Our latest food order left us with rice that tasted burnt and was hard, along with chicken balls that are greasy and hard. Our seasme chicken and lo-mein were ok. Starting to find that the quality is really going down hill. Not sure we will order again in the future.

Always ordered from taishan, used to be best in town. Beef fried rice is disgusting, almond su guy over cooked, couldnt eat it. I dont know what happened to this restaurant but I wont be back.

After delivery, it costed nearly $70 for barley warm, bad food. We purchased the dinner for 4, and we will never order from this restaurant again. You would get better quality food at McDonald s. PLEASE don t waste your money and time the way we did. The other reviewers are not lying.

Absolutely garbage. Rice was bland. Chilli chicken I m not sure what it was. Noodles were MrNoodles at best. I ll never go again.

Ive been coming here for quite some time now but after today I wont be returning. The rice was burnt and the low mein was extremely spicy which wasnt spicy before.. I order the same combo every time, but tonight it was completely inedible and a waste of money. Prices are higher now so I wasted $16 on a combo.

Food is hit and miss with this place. Sometimes delicious and other times to much spice on food, food cold, forgotten sauces etc. Im beginning to even wonder why they are in business. Say they close at 9 tried calling from 7:30 til a little after 8 and they wouldnt answer the phone. Other times try for 15 minutes for someone to answer but apparently they dont want our business.

This is one of my top 3 favorites in the area for Chinese food. Fantastic tasting foods, friendly staff, unique experience! Vegetarian options: Mixed vegetables. Parking: Brand new parking lot and its gorgeous!

Best Egg Rolls ever!! Always good food!!

This was, once the go to place, for years. I stopped going as the food was nasty, I went back tonight! Took a bite into my egg roll and grease pours out of it. My rice, low main was greasy as well as my sesame chicken was beyond greasy and soggy! Waste of money. What happen to this place? Once was the best, boom !!! Worse food I ever tasted.

Terrible costumer service. I called and asked if they had delivery which they said yes but would only be ready at 8pm, mind you we called at 4:30pm, I was very polite and said yes its very understandable especially because its new years eve so we went on and placed out order for a family of 10. We spent our night playing card games and having fun until 8pm roamed by and we decided to give them a call and asked if our order was ready and they proceeded to tell us that we called back and cancelled our order, which we never did, and went on by saying no we forgot we called back and cancelled and started arguing with us. Im very upset with this costumer service because at first they were very nice with us but as soon as we called back everything turned. They blamed everything on us as we were waiting patiently for 4 hours for our new years eve supper. We decided to cancel our order and proceeded to be very rude with us.

Amazing dried chili chicken. Awesome every time

We were in the mood for some Chinese food today, I checked the website for taishan gardens and it said they are open to Dine in, we drove from Cobourg to enjoy some Chinese food, we arrived only to find they were only open for takeout, coupled with the gas s prices and the disappointment of no dine in, that s the reason for the poor rating.

Chow main was very under cooked...almost raw and they had no lobster fornthe seafood mix the time I was there

Best chicken balls in the area, just chicken and a light coating on the outside, no fillers. The fried rice and Lo Mein noodles had a nice charred flavour to them, not soggy. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of vegetables in the fried rice and noodles. Unfortunately, this restaurant is only doing takeout right now, but the sign says they will be open for Father s Day.

Vegetarian options: Love the veggie delight, added tofu and black bean sauce. Dietary restrictions: Able to turn vegetarian options into vegan with no issues.

The chicken was so over cooked I through it in the garage not worth eating. More breading than meat. Portion were small. Im very disappointed, I use to like it and now it just makes me sad!

Not sure whos in the kitchen, running the show?! But I highly recommend smoking your crack after work. Never been so disappointed in this place as I am right now. Incompetence and stupidity runs deep at the wok! The lady taking the orders got it right, but the illiterate staff in the kitchen require educating.

I have always enjoyed food from here but tonight it was horrible. I thought the beef lo mein was leaking in the bag but it was the grease running through the egg roll bag. Unbelievable and in eatable . The beef lo mein was all noodles, no sauce and the meat was also in eatable, pure grizzle. The chicken fried rice was basically just rice. The spring rolls were the only thing actually worth the price. Very Highly disappointed and will not be back. M&M s has a way better beef lo mein!!

Placed order at 4PM in afternoon for 5:30 pickup . Arrived and awaited call.. The guy that took my order told me specifically we would be called when order was ready. Sat outside during Covid19 awaiting call that never came. I totally get that you were busy but its now 8 PM and stil no call. Clearly you dropped the ball.

Was told our order would be ready in 2 hours on new years eve. Called to confirm, asked to wait another 45 minutes. Called to confirm, asked to wait another 20 minutes. Canceled order, will never return.

This was the best chinese food weve had in years...

Ordered pork fried rice, large wonton soup and honey garlic ribs for a pick up. The wonton soup is incredibly salty, broth lacking any actual flavour other than salt. The pork fried rice was obviously burned, it smelled like it was burnt when I open the container and as I moved the rice around I could see the burnt pieces of pork. This should not have been given to us, they should have remade the dish but they obviously didn t care. Honey garlic ribs were extremely sweet, but edible at least. One out of five for actually serving food that was obviously burnt.

Very disappointed. Quality has gone downhill. Our honey garlic ribs had three big bones in it. Literally not a sign of meat on it. Plain bone. They were a good 2 inches square. Plain lo mein was not plain it was spicey. Couldnt eat it. The pork balls were so tough had to use a steak knife to cut through them. Most went in the trash

Used to be the best place in Trenton and area for Chinese takeout . Bought a large meal the other night, same as I always order, the portions are definitely noticilbly smaller. And the lack of taste and flavor was shocking to me. It has definitely dipped to where it once was. And yet the prices have gotten higher. Not sure I will be back again.

New here in Trenton. From the GTA We tried the other Chinese food restaurant and it was horrible. So i though give this restaurant a shot and I was super glad I did. Their food is always good, and fresh. Taishan Gardens is our go to Chinese restaurant

Ordered $60 worth for delivery and half was missing. Drove to the restaurant to remedy and she had nothing written down, completely blamed the company, refused to apologize and then called to have them drive back to my house. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Lost business and will be sure to share.

Have NEVER been told that the staff were on a 25 minute break but it happened tonight! Told to come back in 25 minutes and that should have been my hint . Ordered a number A and B. First off they gave us Duck sauce for our egg rolls which were saturated in oil. Mine contained 6 overcooked chicken balls as well as something that was supposed to be Chicken Lo Mein. Poorest excuse for Lo Mein ever. No vegetables in it,the noodles were chewy and so spicy that I threw it out. It was basically noodles with probably hot sauce and a few very uniformly square pieces of ?chicken.. My husbands chicken fried rice had the same square pieces of chicken in it and was absolutely tasteless. It seems as though they may be using processed chicken in some dishes. Im afraid that going downhill has continued . How unfortunate as they used to have the best Chinese food in town.

This place is a treasure. The buffet isnt as large as some others, but the quality of food, far superior. The chicken balls are the best I have ever had. No mince meat or frozen flavor. It was a chunk of chicken breast freshly fried in a homemade batter. Top notch. All the Favorite items are here. This is now my go too buffet for Chinese food. Well done folks. Service was also spot on.

We have been ordering from you guys since I could remember. With my mom Kathy Morin, and even now with my own family. Today is the first time ever weve had something to complain about. We were disrespected. And told that they would not deal with us as customers. We tried to offer different solutions and just pure rudeness. My fiance and his buddy, decided to order Chinese for us (buddys wife, and myself and the 5 kids) I was already outside and a driver showed up. I called my fiance to ask him if he ordered food he said yes not even 10mins ago. He was told 45mins, driver had food at our place at 15mins. Which normally is awesome timing! However it didnt work out quite well, my man was about 5mins late, and he called to get it sent back to us. I even told the driver I was so sorry, I had no idea.. and even offered to tip him more when he came back. All in all, 5 starving kids, Harveys is getting our business. Probably not gonna come back, up for debate at this point.

This is a real gem. Its a great little chinese food restaurant. They actually have a buffet, but its closed at the moment due to Covid-19. Prices are very reasonable, some of the best around; and the food is delicious. We really liked the chicken balls, egg rolls and General Taos chicken. My husband ordered the seafood special and said it was great-lots of lobster and crab meat. Will definitely be coming back here!

Got a take out, sesame chicken was so deep deep deep fried that it was dripping oil. Short ribs were greasy and chicken fried rice tasted burned... wont go back. Would not recommend.

This place used to be excellent, but over the last several months the quality has dropped significantly. Unfortunately the food is now very greasy, extremely salty and it didnt look very good ethier, I really hope this place recovers because they were really great.

the staff was great to deal with but the food wasnt great the fried rice was dry and hard so was the lo mein noodles my wife got, I threw up from my meal, the only thing I was happy with food wise was the wonton soup it was great.

Visited here for the 1st time on Jan. 26, 2019. Absolutly disgusting food! The food was old and stale, nothing was fresh. There was even a piece of metal in my food. No standards! The waiter didnt care.

Prices have gone up considerably and the quality of the food has gone down hill.

This little restaurant is so good. We have bern going there for a few months. The food is alway hot and very fresh its a buffet style. Its great you walk in and grab a plate . Staff is great friendly. Beer is cool. They have all you can eat buffet and you can get it to go. Would definitely rec this restaurant to anyone.

Lady is rude on the phone ask to change the order while on the phone and all i heard was click hung up will be posting in fb reviews as well staff needs to be more paitent and listen to what a customer wants instead of hanging up also will be contacting management as you do not hang up on a customer because he wants to change his order after asking nicely its not like you made it yet.

Really good food, price is decent. Buffet us a little small but Id rather a small buffet with great food than a large one with okay quality. I live chicken balls, but most places put a small bit of chicken and a lot of batter, not here. It was a good sized piece of chicken. Highly recommend giving them a try. Service was wonderful too, very friendly and efficient.

I only get take out but am usually satisfied. Probably best Chinese food in trenton.

Dont know if a family did an incredible dine and dash (7people) but there was apperently a price of glass now I dont know if it was placed.. and some like red sauce on his napkin but they all left if indeed it there was glass. I mean rightly so. But I mean the food wasnt good either... Noodles where crunchy and onion rings cold I could go on. Maybe just a really bad day but I give it two stars for the price point.

My fiance and i Came to the restaurant and place and order dinner to go . After arriving back there not even 10 mins later are dinner was sitting on the counter cooling not even under a warming well . When we arrived home my general tow chicken was nothing but lemon chicken with tow sauce on the bottom of the bowl ! . . I wont be back

The best food I ever ate in Canada. We were super hungry. Food was in v.good portion. V. Fresh vegetables. Just loved it. I stay in toronto but will definately be there again.

This little building is therefore smart. weve got national capital going there for a couple of months. The food is alway hot and really recent its a buffet vogue. Its nice you move into and grab a plate . workers is nice friendly. brew is cool. they need all youll be able to eat buffet and youll be able to tumble to travel. Would undoubtedly rec this building to anyone.

This used to b our favorite chinesse restaurant. Its gone downhill in the last while. In our last 4 take out delivery orders have all had mistakes or missing items. Just tonight had a order and NO rice was sent with it. Told would b another 1.5hrs for them to sent out the rice they missed. Very poor customer service would not do anything to accomodate there mistakes in all our previous orders. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant. We will no longer b ordering from here.

We are got there and then the smorgasborg with empty we had to go up 5 times with 5 different plates to make something of nothing it was a very bad bad experience in there never again

I don t know if it s just when you get takeout but every time I order anything chicken it s either over cooked or reheated in the microwave. It s honestly like a chew toy for your dog. I use to love be coming here because it use to be so good and now it s a disappointment. I will never order there again.

Usually food on buffet is good. Was disappointed this time as a lot of the veggies were mushy, wonton soup was just floating noodle pieces . We went at 6:30 and only 1 other family there, so I suppose they didnt want to refresh the buffet? Service was good, wings were great. Also, they closed for a month or so but didnt put an answering machine message on so when you called it just rang. I assumed they were busy, but no one ever answered. Others I talked to had similar frustration. For some time this has been the go to place for us, Ill definitely try it again, but not impressed when we went last Thursday.

I ordered from here for delivery and it didn t take that long but they messed up my order so I called and she claimed that the chicken balls I got were sweet and sour pork which they weren t. Sesame Chicken wasn t very good. Probably won t be back

Food is always hot. Buffet is a little small but price is good. New server is nice.

Not sure what has happened to this place. Use to be amazing until lately. Last 2 times I have ordered for delivery has taken me almost 2 hours to get my order. First time in October they took down my address wrong and sent it back and in the end my order was wrong when I did receive it they did give me a credit for future. Tonight they put me down as pickup and had to call back in again amd it has been close to 2 hours for my credited orser to get here.

Best egg rolls bar none. Wait staff could use some work. Just kidding Tina!
