Excellent food and great service recommend everything! All my experience was perfect …
Food quality and atmosphere were really great. Had a fantastic meal with friends will definitely coming back:)
The food is exceptional! The flavours are good, the dishes are authentic!Congratulations to the chef! Quality as in india ,Sufficient quality for one person!Really happy to have found an indian restaurant in Mauricie.
I was staying for a night in Trois Rivieres and craving for some comfort meal. Indeed, this place met all my expectations. Thank you for complimentary gulab jamun and adjusting the spice level to hot as my request. Very tasty authentic Indian food :)
I had the chance to try them. Their Butter chicken was amazing. I would highly recommend enjoying the Food and excellent service.
Best Indian restaurant located in Quebec province, didn't expect that level of authentic vegetarian food , and kindness shown by the owner , really appreciate your food and kindness , will come again whenever we visit this town
This is a totally scam 2 pcs of chicken coast you more than whole piece of chicken i will add of pics palaaakk paneerrr and they are not authentic
Let's get directly to the part you really care about, the food was absolutely amazing, I could taste so many flavors, we were 3 people, 2 of them (myself included) ordered the butter chicken, the last person ordered the combo and curry beef. We shared and tasted everything from the combo and it was that much worth it. Now, the only two "complaints" is that for example with the butter chicken, you get around like 6-7 chicken pieces which one would argue isn't that much but nonetheless, I was full after everything. Finally, the price, expect 30$ per person, it's not cheap by any means but in my honest opinion, it's well worth it supporting a local growing restaurant that offers such delicious food.
The food is delicious. The service is top notch. I highly recommend .
Excellent food and great service!recommed everything. All my experience was perfect
Excellent service! Authentic meal and everything was wonderful! Truly my experience was perfect. Satisfied with a@z. I traveled to India
I ate as much as my stomach would allow. It was divine. Look no further for your restaurant stop in Trois-Rivières, this is the place.
The food is excellent and the price is very reasonable. The service is a little slow if you eat alone, but its worth the detour.
Most Recommended! Their food is Delicious. Food

Incredibly delicious cuisine!
Nice welcome! Good atmosphere with Indian music! Tasting lunch menu $29.99 Very good little vegetable fritters which are just spicy enough for me with Tamarind dip. The main course: homemade Naan bread: excellent, butter chicken served very very hot, its rare, I more than appreciated it! Oooh the little balls in the sweet syrup and Indian tea, perfect to finish the meal. Oh yes, for those who are interested, it s a BYOB. Ill come back. I recommend this restaurant!
What to say about this restaurant I was there for 1 months for work and the owner served me like a am at home, taste service top notch, must try please
The food is excellent! We simply loved it. This is our 2nd visit and we are delighted. The service is good but there is a language barrier. The atmosphere is pleasant! Next time well bring our lovers!
Best among all
Great experience, loved the hospitality and food.
the food was so good. The service was commendable. very kind staff.
We liked the food but we found that it lacked vegetables on the side. With spicy dishes, a small salad or grilled vegetables would be welcome to accompany the dishes. Our table was in a dark corner, we had difficulty reading the menu and only one waitress for the whole room which made the service sometimes slow. We will return.
Despite a somewhat small portion of meat, the taste was delicious and the service was fast and courteous.
Excellent and good food, quality is good. Reasonable price. The food is authentic. Well done chef . Spicy just the way I like it.
Authentic on all sides! Real Indian chef! Everything was excellent!
Super nice restaurant and good service! The butter chicken doesnt taste like other Indian restaurants, but very good. The lamb curry was very good and not too spicy it was perfect! The pakoras were truly insane!! We had a donut mix starter, 2 meals (rice included) and 3 naan bread and we had enough for three and even had a little left over. I would have liked there to be a spicy scale on the menu though.
A delicious meal that invites you to return
Very good Indian food. I highly recommend it!
I loved the shrimp korma! It tasted perfect, not too spicy! I highly recommend
The Menu was excellent
Very good restaurant
The butter chicken tasted like anything but traditional butter chicken, unless it was a new recipe!
The Taj Mahal of 3 Rivières, for its friendly and friendly welcome, the service, the atmosphere and the food. We offer you a wide variety of well-balanced and fragrant cooked dishes, so delicious and generous. The dishes are just spicy and are prepared with the spices specific to each dish and if you like a little more, there is chili sauce that you can add. All dishes are prepared by an authentic Indian chef. Their creamy butter chicken (my favorite) and lamb korma were perfect, every bite is a treat. Their naan bread is homemade, it is still warm when they serve it to us at the table. We even took some home after the meal. The staff is attentive to provide a perfect dining experience. It s great to be able to bring our wine. Excellent value for money, quantities are sufficient. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious Indian cuisine. N.B. If you have already eaten at the one in Shawinigan, the 3 Rivières branch has a little something extra.
Amazing food ! Authentic plat ! Very good service ! Taste perfect ! Continue ! 100 % satisfied
Very good restaurant, I highly recommend it.
excellent, extra tender chicken great service
Everything was good and I am satisfied, especially the service they provided. I fully recommend visiting this place.
It was good, but when I buy lamb korma I expect a rich and spicy creamy sauce, I was very disappointed that the sauce was mostly sweet...
A big WOWW! Amazing authentic food from India! I tasted several dishes during my visit and I can all say that they are excellent! It s a cuisine offering flavors and tastes that we won t find elsewhere! They have really adjusted the food for people who dont eat too spicy, but they offer the possibility of adding chili to the dishes! I recommend it! I will definitely go back! Flavor, quantity and quality are there! Five stars for service, ambiance and food. No need to travel to India, the Taj Mahal is a guaranteed taste trip! The decorations, colors and flavors will leave you speechless!
Very good service and food! The restaurant takes care of their patrons :) Thank you.
Great discovery. Its worth going there as a group and trying different dishes.
The food was fresh. The taste is not authentic Indian. I didnt recognize the Indian taste of the food I ordered. The service was slow and lacked knowledge of table service. But the girls were polite and cheerful. The cost was very expensive for the quantities.
I loved the food and ambience. Both chicken and paneer dishes were delicious
Good service! Enjoy your meal! Reasonable price I recommend
A symphony of Indian flavors! The service is impeccable and the atmosphere warm! Highly recommended for all lovers of quality Indian cuisine
I really found the taste of India. Its not just the dishes with chili. The dishes are prepared with the spices specific to each dish.
For fans of Indian food. I recommend it.
They cook well, their customer service exceeds our expectations, and the atmosphere is really chill
Excellent food to discover or rediscover as good as ever
Great Food and Ambience.
I must say its the best place to experience the food. The taste, quality, quantity and most importantly the ambiance of the place is amazing. I highly recommend this place to make your dine-in more interesting and enjoyable
The best restaurant Ive ever visited!!!!! Amazing food paired with excellent service . I would recommend everyone to visit this place if you wanna taste the delicious cusine.
Had to ask to be able to order. 1 hour before receiving our starter, a hair in the sauce. Half an hour later still not received anything else, we got up and asked to pay for the starters then went to McDonalds. During this time we saw Doordash and Uber coming out to shovel it. I thought maybe she would offer us a discount for hair too but obviously that wasnt in the options.
If you think this is a real Indian restaurant, its not. The food was good, but its more of an Indian inspired type
The Tajmahal restaurant is a true hidden gem in Quebec! From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes that explode with flavor. From aromatic biryanis to their creamy butter chicken, every bite is a delight. The staff is attentive and goes out of their way to ensure a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Tajmahal Restaurant to anyone craving delicious Indian food. It definitely deserves a 5 star rating!
10/10 amazing food,taste and quality
Nice place good food and one more thing good naan
Very nice experience, a warm welcome and a wonderful meal, I highly recommend
Very good service amazing food
I highly recommend this Indian restaurant. My favorite dishes in this restaurant are the byriani and the butter chicken. All their dishes are very delicious and one of my favorites is a traditional Indian dessert called gulab jamun.
Phew! $50 for two...super small portions! Only 3 small dishes, a butter chicken that tastes like sweet tomato sauce, one of rice, the other kind of spicy spinach sauce, nothing appetizing and two naan breads nothing else. Never again!
Good quantity, good price, impeccable service.
Great in every way. The flavors, the services, the place Its a wowwww
Really delicious.
Very good restaurant. The meals are very good and the service is also perfect. I also find the prices reasonable for the dishes. I highly recommend.
Enjoyed the food.... The flavor are too good, the dishes are authentic! Quality and quantity was amazing had a good experience... Thanks for serving such a good taste
A dish of rice and 5 pieces of chicken curry for $22.50 is a farce
Glad to have such an amazing restaurant in the Trois-Rivieres. Food, services and above the atmosphere is quite pleasing
Good food. Nice place.
Finally some Indian food in town. Flavors on point!
Very happy to have an Indian restaurant in Trois-Rivières. The dishes are very fragrant while remaining accessible at the spicy level, a favorite for the butter chicken and the beef korma. I would have liked to order Pakoras, but they were out of stock. The only small problem is the price which is a little high for the size of the dishes, but in the context where everything is expensive, it is more understandable We will go back!
Excellent meal and service. At lunchtime, we chose vegetarian and meat thalis and all the dishes were excellent. We cant wait to come back in the evening to order several dishes as a family and discover all their dishes Happy to see that the Taj Mahal in Shawinigan, which we already loved very much, has come closer to Trois-Rivières!
I had a complete combo with dessert. It was a delight. The dishes are just spicy enough for most people and if you like a little more, there is sauce you can add. I took it all and ate it quietly at home and I appreciated the quality of everything, rice, chickpeas, dal, cucumber sauce, chicken curry, etc. The dessert was also excellent. There are also lasis, this Indian dessert made with yogurt and mangoes. Tea and more... Give it a try... Im sure youll like it... Vegetarian options: There are several options for vegetarians Parking: Location opposite the restaurant, mini shopping center
Excellent Indian food! Very generous portions. We took the veggie menu and shared it between two and we were full. I recommend it to you without hesitation. Vegetarian options: A complete menu of dhal, salad, rice, naan.
By far not impressed. Order an hour before, order wasnt ready when we arrived. Not a big deal, just a weird start for a first impression. We were thrilled to try a new restaurant, and bought 90$ not knowing quantities. 3 main dishes, 2 samosas, 2 naan bread, nothing too complicated. At that price point we thought at worst, we will have extras for the next day. Oh boy was I wrong. Total order ? Basically 4$ of meat, 86$ of rice. Price vs quality vs quantity are way too off. The butter chicken had 4 pieces of chicken and the rest was sauce (for 20$, common guys) although it was good. The beef Curry was horrendous, so we trashed it. A slimy, sticky, overcooked beef without flavour. Stay away from this one, 21$ for this should be a crime. Biryani was 98% rice with two small bits of chicken on top. Good, but again, you pay 15$ for rice. Where I lost it was the naan bread. The most common item on a Indian food menu. Stale, hard, dry. We are quite bummed out from this experience. Dont think well order there again. Cant understand why this place has a 4 star, or if its only tonight that they were off track.
Very good meal, the combo with curry chicken, the gulab Jamun.. Only negative point, price a little expensive
The dish is very good and the quantities are good. The dish comes with a salad starter, naan as well as the main course. I highly recommend
Kid-friendliness: Nice staff Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food : 2/5 |
A truly excellent thali like I ate in India! Really happy to have a restaurant in Trois-Rivières! Congratulations on your great work! Cheap for the quantity.
The food was so delicious and authentic as well as the service which was quite generous. Totally worth it going there with reasonable prices.
a first visit on the opening day to John xxIII. I found that the quantity via the price of $28 combo dinner was really disappointing. As for the taste, it was extremely disappointing. Ordinary vegetables and butter chicken, far from what I have often tasted when it comes to butter chicken! Today Im trying one more chance. Im ordering the butter chicken dish again!! But just the plate only.20$ (it shouldnt be worse!) 5 cubes of chicken in a tomato sauce which takes me more to Italy than to India!! accompanied by a bowl of decent basmati rice. Served in beautiful Indian copper dishes!! Zero bread, zero vegetables and not a simple glass of water offered to accompany the empty plate to fill with so little! Service; the young girl places the dish at my table without a word or any other visit!! When paying, the owner asks me if I ate well? Yes it was okay but Im disappointed. I was thinking of eating a real Indian butter chicken! I felt like I was eating an Italian dish, sir! And he answered me; ah well Im Indian maam!!! Sorry I have the impression that this restaurant will not last long if it does not improve on all points!! 2/2 very disappointed No more money to waste there It was the last time!! Buy yourself a packet of chicken, some cream and a packet of Indian butter chicken sauce, a pepper, an onion and heat up some leftover basmati rice with 3 cloves, and youll be in India for much less! !!
To discover, the dishes are delicious!
This is an honest review. Ive tried many Indian restaurants in my life, especially in MTL, so I have a solid foundation for comparison. - Small portions for main dishes given the price. The meat is a bit dry and not very tender; it feels like its been reheated. However, the sauces are really good, and the mix of spices is well-balanced. - The samosas are among my top 3 ever. I could come back just for them. - The pakoras are decent. It would be great to add onion bhaji to the menu. (Do not correspond the the website menu picture.) - The dessert I got was, OMG, very good with lots of flavor (rose)! Ill order more next time. - The naan breads texture is hard, and the taste is bland. Id avoid it. I think they should work on that, naan bread are so the center piece of Indian meal. - Overall, its expensive considering the size of the main dishes; we were very surprised by that. But, food price increased everywhere, but still a bit on the pricy side. With just a bit more work, this restaurant could become a 5 stars, people working there were friendly, so I hope them to consider my honest review to improve their client experience.
The best Indian restaurant in Quebec! I have never eaten so well in my entire life! The meals are authentic, tasty and the sauces are well balanced in terms of spices. They offer non-spicy dishes, but offer us an exceptional sauce to spice up our dishes. It was an experience full of flavors from the starter to the desert. I have already eaten at their Shawinigan restaurant, but I find that their Trois-Rivières branch has something more. Their tasting formula with their famous butter chicken with their channa, woowww! It was a pure delight. The quantities are sufficient and even a little too much! I had difficulty finishing my plate. The prices are in accordance with the quality of the dishes. Their naan bread is homemade, its still warm when they serve it to us at the table, nothing like the one from the grocery store. I even took some home after the meal. The next morning on the pan with butter and the texture was still perfect. I go back every week to try the other dishes on the menu! Its an authentic Indian restaurant! With flavors, quality and quantity to match! The staff is friendly and attentive to our needs! A big congratulations!
Its really good and delicious! If you like Indian food, I recommend this restaurant. Youre going to get what you pay for. :)
Food is too delicious
Very good, courteous service, excellent price, I recommend it!! Delicious
Very disappointed! I had samosas which were way too soaked in oil, the most ordinary butter chicken I have ever eaten, the cubes (5) of chicken were dry and the sauce was oily. The rice was good but nothing more. way too expensive for what the cuisine is! With naan bread and another baiji onion style starter thats also too oily..$43 with taxes :(
Food is super delicious, staff is so humble ambience of the place is amazing. Highly recommended.
