Very beautiful place, elk is sublime. Very close to the Cogeco amphitheater on foot. Were going to come back!

My recent visit to this restaurant turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The service was just passable, without the slightest touch of distinction or courtesy that could have enhanced the evening. The main course, a filet mignon, was undoubtedly one of the worst I have ever had the opportunity to taste. The meat was incredibly dry and overcooked, robbing the dish of any flavor and expected tenderness. In addition, the portion of sauce was clearly insufficient to compensate for this blatant lack of quality. In summary, I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant. Avoid if youre looking for a satisfying dining experience and attentive service.

I liked everything I recommend to everyone. Ideal for a romantic dinner. On the other hand, expect to pay the price because you have to pay for quality. I recommend it to everyone without hesitation!

Beautiful evening ! Before the colorful show of Cirque du Soleil: RBO, I enjoyed a good meal in a very festive atmosphere on the magnificent Ancêtre terrace. The service is excellent and efficient. The tuna tataki is delicious. THANKS

Very quiet Sunday evening but the tastes of the cuisine are there. Very beautiful ancestral building and possibility of eating outside. Christopher recommends the daily specials on the slate and they are indeed delicious! Nothing to envy of the biggest restaurants in the city, good, straightforward, unpretentious. The prices are very fair for the quality of the food. I will definitely go back!

The welcome is very good and the interior decor charming. The service was unfortunately very slow and when we indicated that we would like our order taken after an hour of waiting because we had to leave in an hour... the service was not up to par. We are told that they have a lot of people, that we have plenty of time to get to the amphitheater (we have a person with reduced mobility with us and I think that we can estimate our movements ourselves!! !). We had still planned 2 1/2 hours in advance to eat and we ended up not having time to have a coffee and a dessert... and we had the impression of being inconvenient. Damage. Fantastic restaurant. I recommend the lobster ravioli. From the decor to the presentation and quality of the dishes, including the kindness and welcome of the owner, a stop at the ancestors bistro is a must. In the heart of old houses, close to the river. A discovery!!!

Superb evening in this magnificent restaurant! We had the private room to celebrate my fathers retirement... Beautiful atmosphere in a historic house and the food was excellent! All guests loved their experience. Special thanks to Laurence for her professional and warm service!

Superb restaurant with exceptional gastronomy! Your rabbit was cooked to perfection and your Caesar salad was exquisite! Next, the black forest dessert was delicious! The only downside, and its not your fault, was that my moms phone couldnt scan the QR code for the menu. But I was able to show him the menu with my phone, so you absolutely deserve those five stars.

Came for dinner just before the Divas show. Price a little expensive $15 for 2 bottles of San Peligrino water seems to me that $6/each would be reasonable. For the rest a little expensive but as it was very good I accept it. Desserts, a bit ordinary for the price. For good wine for the same bottle some sell it for $60 but others $72 that s life

Impeccable service, acceptable cuisine. But why post a fake photo of a terrace seen over the water when your terrace overlooks a parking lot. First time this has happened to me in a restaurant. This is misrepresentation! Take real photos of your establishment.

The food is excellent, the table dhôte offers nothing more than taking it a la carte, even it is sometimes more worth taking it a la carte because it is cheaper. In short, good food, good wine, but I chose à la carte in order to have what I really wanted because almost the same offer in both options. A 3-course table dhôte would have been interesting, it lacks a little something for a 5 star.

The atmosphere is perfect, the service and presentation of the dishes impeccable. I must admit that I turned my sirloin steak over in the kitchen with a little embarrassment, its really not my habit. The cooking was perfect but the piece of meat left much to be desired. The chef offered me a new complete dish that I was able to bring and which was DELICIOUS! The other dishes and starters were also perfectly successful. So in the end, no real disappointment.

Me and my partner went for dinner and we loved the place with its rustic side, the terrace is magnificent, the menu was incredible and what can I say about the service which was impeccable. A special thank you to William our server who was friendly and knowledgeable.

My new favorite restaurant in Trois-Rivières! Everything is absolutely impeccable, the service, the food, the atmosphere, the employees. We booked two Saturdays in a row because we loved it. The menu is sophisticated and Chloé, the waitress, explains it beautifully on each visit. Moreover, Chloé offers a service the likes of which we very rarely see, being served by her is a real privilege and pleasure is guaranteed!

Excellent blackriture, 5 stars. The desserts are a little sad in comparison, but still good. We were in the marquee and the music was a little too loud and interfered with conversations. But all in all, a great place to eat quality food.

Our choice fell on the seafood pasta at the table dhôte. Everything was perfect, the quantity of the pasta, the taste of the sauce created the perfect link between the shrimp, mussels, scallops and clams. Even though we were on the terrace in the evening, the pasta dishes were served hot with impeccable service. Even the owner Chantal came to see us on a few occasions to make sure everything was to our liking.

Small restaurant that doesnt look like much from the outside, especially with its fast-food neon sign indicating open. Once past the entrance, the charm operates. Pretty shaded terrace with beautiful, well-set tables inviting us to sit down. The service was good and the menu was small but bold. We fell for a magnificent beef tartare of very good shape and impeccable presentation. At lunchtime our dish was accompanied by a soup as a starter and a chocolate fondant for dessert, all washed down with a good homemade coffee. A beautiful address to discover...

I went to eat at Bistro LAncêtre on the evening of the reopening and it was excellent! Appetizers, Caesar salad and pasta table dhôte washed down with a good red wine, everything was on point and tasty. The bill was also very reasonable for such a good meal. To visit without hesitation.

Historic restaurant that when you enter it takes you back in time We can only think of the ancestors who came before us and who built this memorable architecture with these high ceilings and 5-row thick brick walls. The welcome is very warm, in terms of the choice of menu, it is perfect for a high quality restaurant. There is the table dhôte but above all we can choose, either pasta, fish, chicken, steak, Pizza, and so on. Thats what I like about this restaurant because even if it is gourmet, it has a menu for everyone. The prices are extremely reasonable. As a starter, I ate Charlevois meatballs in a little blueberry sauce. Excellent! As a main course, a filet mignon with fries and very well prepared vegetables. The service was excellent. there were 6 of us for dinner, on a Thursday evening and the service was minimal, the food barely adequate: for example my vegetarian pizza barely had a small piece of pepper, slices of carrots and turnips...bland and very disappointing! My brother told me that there was surely a replacement cook??? I will never go back there!

Very ordinary for the price. Not an experience to want to go back. Firstly I called earlier in the day to book as mentioned on the website. No return call and when I called back later, I was told that they do not take reservations except for the terrace. It was looking at the menu on the web that made me want to go there. Except that when I arrived, surprise, the only menu available is the terrace menu which does not contain a quarter of what is on the website. My daughters plate had to be returned twice because she had ordered with rice and it was fried. They came back with another plate which had the pepper steak sauce served with chicken. Not strong. Service discussed.
