195 Rue de la Sablière, Trois-Rivières, QC G9B 7A9, Canada
Restaurant qui vous offre un menu québécois traditionnel. Venez vous sucrez le bec avec notre sirop d'érable et la tire sur la neige!
Come here because of tour. Service was fast, cozy and relaxed Atmosphere with traditional food(I think it was better to enjoy the atmosphere than the food I would say the food is 5 out of 10
Love their food and atmosphere. People were dancing and playing music! We got to see how maple syrup is harvested and made. Had a really great time overall. Reservation prior was required.
This place was imposed on us as part of our tour meal plan with a cost of $40. We were promised a decent buffet. Food choices were extremely limited and of poor quality. If you do not eat pork, you get simple vegetarian dishes that are worth much less what you pay for! You get rice with sone frozen peas & carrots, canned baked beans, basic pasta salad and fried sliced potatoes! The worst part is the way the waitress dealt with our table! We were 14 persons and she threw a bowl of each of the prior mentioned food items. Each one would get a tablespoon full of each food! We said we are 14 so bring more food to the table. Unpleasantly, she replied back that she will not get anything unless the bowl is completely empty. People were shy what to take or what to leave for the next person! When the pasta was finished and we asked for more, she brought back the bowl you see in the photo!! Remember we are 14 people at this table! I said, “do we have to beg for food here? We already paid for this meal.” There was no respect nor hospitality at this place! This is by far the worst meal I ever had in my life for $40 Avoid this place at all costs! I would give it a zero star if it was a choice!
Maple syrup was good , there was a wall with currency all over the world. Overall, it was a wonderful experience .
We went there because our guide arranged it. The food was generally nothing special, and the choices were very limited. It's called a buffet, but it's not what you would expect from a buffet restaurant with only five types of food. The atmosphere was nice with live traditional music. Overall, it was a fun experience.
This is cozy little restaurant in Quebec is a delightful culinary experience that immerses you in the world of maple syrup. From maple syrup-inspired dishes to a cozy log cabin setting with a self guided tour on maple syrup production, the charm is undeniable. The outdoor fireplace and the live demonstration of making maple suckers add to the enchanting atmosphere. This all-inclusive destination is a must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and memorable dining adventure.
Tourist trap : Below average food in terms of deliciousness and variety. We went to this place in hope to have an authentic traditional cabane à sucre food but everything do not seem to be homemade at all. The service was rushing us to finish eating.
Average quality lunch food - pea soup, meat pie, pancakes, ham, potatoes, omelette, maple tea. Cheap ingredients but will fill you up quickly. We needed to remind the waitress to serve the omelette. Servers didn't ask us whether we wanted more food, or to ask how service was. Busy restaurant with lots of tourists. They also have a gift shop. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a good quality meal, but if you're on the road between Montreal and Quebec then this place may be for you if you're looking to fill your stomach fast.
Great, very warm welcome, very good, special time because there were few people at this time Nice kitchen Great family discovery
I recommend great experience! We went there at the beginning of November, no need to book in advance. Thanks again!
I went in winter, there were few people but all the staff were very friendly. They explained to us how they extract the maple and we ate. Very beautiful souvenir shop.
Nice atmosphere and good food
Excellent, the delicious meal, the thunderous atmosphere and the explanatory visit at the top. The staff is really very nice.
Nice place for young and old The whole family had a great time. I recommend.
It is a place mainly intended for groups, however we were well received as a couple. A separate table is provided for people outside the group. The ambiance is good with the music and the service too. The downside is its big, its a bit like a canteen so as a couple were less comfortable and we feel apart. Its a bit cliché which spoils it a bit. Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
A beautiful place with great service, environment and food! Deeply recommended
We had a very pleasant time. The welcome, the service, the meal, the cabin...everything is top notch. One of the rare sugar shacks open all year round, allowing us, visitors passing through this beautiful country, to discover the world of maple syrup.
Place to visit if you come to Quebec. Good welcome
A superb experience! We started with a visit and explanations on the making of maple syrup. Then we went to the table to eat unlimited Canadian dishes. Finally, the tasting ends with a sweet note with snow taffy made in front of us (at will also our groups of gourmands were delighted )
Very nice place
Good Environment. Sign up for food
Great atmosphere, great food, super interesting visit, personal and very welcoming, I visited them on a group trip
Awesome The meal is great. The atmosphere is simply great and the staff takes great care of you. To do absolutely
The sugar shack. Excellent food. Attention good what follows good. Its owners are really very happy, and they really like Mexicans to visit them. They love our country Mexico. Beautiful music. At the end they give you a very delicious maple popsicle. They give you an excellent explanation of the production of maple syrup and its origins. And to finish, a store where you can buy beautiful souvenirs. Highly recommended visit
Beautiful festive atmosphere and typical menu and place. Unfortunately, I have difficulty tolerating noise, which prevents me from enjoying folk dances and music to the fullest. Well done everyone. And nice shop next door!
Warm
What a joy....the welcome...the staff...the visit...the dishes and the atmosphere....EVERYTHING IS PERFECT
Visit to make maple syrup, tasting and meal on site with synth ambiance. All with attentive staff and their cousins from France. Finally, the adjoining store offers local products at good value for money. At the top Parking: Came by bus, parked without any problem. Wheelchair accessibility: Suitable access terrace.
Great establishment
Nice, unmissable tourist stop, but you will find the products cheaper elsewhere. We didnt eat, too noisy
Great atmosphere, an experience to live.
The place is worth visiting to understand how maple syrup is made.
Just top notch food and staff
Great sugar shack, we eat well in a great atmosphere with songs and music. The waitresses and waiters are smiling and efficient. A must see.
This sugar shack is awesome... The decor, the atmosphere, everything is perfect
Extra.... I recommend... Thanks to the whole team and especially to the musician...
We had a lovely time with the family this afternoon! We left delighted with this discovery. Its not just the food which was excellent, but also the service and the warm atmosphere! The employees are incredibly kind and caring. Thank you! A little extra nod for Stéphane whom we thank again infinitely for his kindness towards our son Raphaël.
When traveling with a tour it is almost a fact that they will bring you to this place to learn about the process of maple syrup. As it is, it is a tourist trap. However, the visit was not so bad, they charged us 40 Canadian dollars for the buffet (a little expensive in my opinion) but the food was good, the staffs attention is unbeatable and I recommend the honey popsicles at the end of the meal a lot . The place has a small souvenir shop. I dont recommend it as a mandatory stop, however, if you dont have anything else... its not bad.
Came as a member of a tour group. Meals were overpriced and thrown down - we didnt feel welcome, just tolerated. Building itself is charming, and the musician was great. I think this place has some good qualities, but they need to work on engaging with the customer a bit better.
Great atmosphere, unlimited good meals, friendly staff. To do
Everything is very good even the boss
We LOVED it!! Great atmosphere, great menu!! I really want the pea soup recipe!! Between spoon games and dancing, everything you need to have a great time. Despite the crowds, the staff is very pleasant and does not rush you. If we could we would go back!! Without forgetting a store with very affordable prices.
Excellent place and food, you feel at home
Very good treatment. The super friendly owner
For French speakers, it s really a great experience of the friendliness of Quebec! My husband and I recommend and will come back next year. In addition, we are given a demonstration of the maple syrup lollipop. And really a great welcome
Very good experience!
to do
Definitely touristy but everything is good and the staff is great
Very nice place, superb welcome. Friendly service and a crazy atmosphere! We stopped by chance, to see and possibly eat something... But no reservations, no more space because of a lot of tourist buses. Despite everything, Dany found us a small table. Many thanks again
An extraordinary experience, to be had without hesitation during a trip to Quebec! Traditional Quebecois meal in an atmosphere worthy of the name. Traditional musician, moments of sharing and unlimited delicious cuisine. All this was followed by a visit to the sugar shack and discovery of maple syrup production. Lovely staff who take great care of their customers. We left Chez Dany with a big smile, happy to have discovered this experience.
A must-visit place! We loved everything about this traditional sugar shack... its cuisine, the kindness of the staff and Dany, the explanations on how maple syrup is made, in short, a real moment of exchange and taste discovery! We highly recommend!
The experience was wonderful. We learned how they tap the trees to gain the liquid and turn it into maple syrup. The live music was a very pleasant surprise.
Very typical, great experience, very warm welcome, simple tour explanations. Copious meals at will if desired. To do.
What a discovery! This place is simply great for getting used to Quebec gastronomy (ears of corn, pea soup, meat pâté, maple ham, and of course pancakes with maple syrup). The waiters are adorable and very attentive, there is also a small traditional music orchestra which helps to make this place a warm place. The decoration is also very picturesque. To round it all off, there is a little tour that explains how maple syrup is made, so good!
A great establishment, a great team and a very good menu
A typical cuisine Lots of people stop there but it s the right place to discover Canada Kid-friendliness: A good stop to taste the maple syrup lollipop made in front of you on ice
Not to be missed! Visit and meal simply fabulous! Dany himself gave us a tour of the sugar shack and a tasting of taffy on snow (memorable). I highly recommend the welcome and the all-you-can-eat meal which deserve more than 5 stars. Signed by the Strasbourg team
Entering this establishment is a journey.
Very good place, with good service!!!
A curious place. Where to see how maple syrup is made.
Warm welcome. Ultra fast service, unlimited good dishes, with homemade maple syrup. A musical atmosphere to accompany us throughout the meal. A little too big though.
Friendly, joyful atmosphere, gargantuan meal.
All very rich, excellent experience. 100% recommended :)
A very nice sugar shack. The kind and welcoming staff gives you all the information. The invigorating meal involves a walk in the forest. A gourmet and pleasant stopover on the road to Quebec
Super welcoming, we eat very well and with a smile! Thanks cousins
The pea soup with cracklings was delicious! Reminded me of being home with the freshness of mom and dads garden. Also, learning about the importance of maple syrup to the Canadian economy was very interesting.
very good
An interesting visit and traditional Quebec food. Atmosphere in the dining room with music. Very original decoration of the premises. Souvenir shop Cabin with explanations of how maple syrup is made. The owner or manager gave an explanation.
We were there this afternoon. We went without any expectations, without knowing what we were going to find and it was wonderful. They give you a tour explaining how maple syrup is made and then offer, for a very affordable price, a tasting of different typical dishes accompanied by syrup. A mandatory stop in this authentic cabin. RECOMMENDED 100x100.
Very delicious food and very friendly staff. The place is very nice and the atmosphere is very fun.
Awesome!!! From the informative visit to the cabin where maple syrup is made, through the Quebec-style meal concept (large table where local dishes are shared as much as you like), the festive and good-natured atmosphere, the kindness of the hosts, everything is appreciable. And the famous shoot the snow to sweeten your cousin to finish...!
So awesome A great atmosphere
Great meal, good atmosphere my 4 and 5 year old sons loved it. Everyone was very friendly.
A great time with our Quebec cousins! Thank you so much
The best sugar shack
Yes, it can be cliché because it is organized for groups but you can come as a family and you will be very well received. We arrived around 1:40 p.m. having reserved. The waitresses are super nice, it feels like home but somewhere else with our cousins the meal is simple but very good with maple syrup everywhere. Special mention to the ham, potatoes and aperitif: caribou! The explanations on the production were very clear and interesting: a great moment for our arrival in Quebec.
Very good, especially the pea soup. Ideal for testing the essentials of Quebec cuisine around maple syrup (very present). Not being a fan of sweet/salty, the syrup should only be added if you want and in the quantities you want. The atmosphere is good (live music) and the servers friendly. Address to recommend
But what a lovely discovery. Family atmosphere, really top staff and excellent cuisine. We loved our visit to Danys...and this maple syrup, a treat. Cuisine with heart as we like it back home in the north. I recommend 1000%
Great place to taste sugar shack dishes, even in summer. The maple syrup is set aside, so it is possible to add it to dishes at our convenience: pea soup, ham, ear of Christ (fried bacon), omelette, baked beans, etc....
Very good restaurant and beautiful shop but the discovery of the maple grove is disappointing; you will simply have a short explanation of how maple syrup is made.
Nice place where you eat Canadian products and they teach you how maple syrup is made.
Superb experience and Dany is a real character. Thank you for this warm welcome.
food was amazing and they have musicians too
Quebec experience to live
The owner is a very fun, awesome host. The whole staff is great and the atmosphere and live music was fun and nostalgic. Parking: Lots of room for tour busses.
Amazing place with a true rural vibe and amazingl friendly staff and very good food. Thanks for the experience!
Very good atmosphere and super good meal!
The best of the best! Not to be missed
Reserve your table otherwise you will have to wait. Nice little tour of the cabin.
No better place to learn about Mapple Syrup, great good and atmosphere!!
Great welcome!
Place not to be missed The welcome, the setting, the food and the products are excellent. Thanks for everything
Great place, with explanations and tasting of maple syrup lollipops
We had a great time at Dannys. Magnificent place Friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend!
Very nice. Typical food. Happy and clean place The egg cake is spectacular
Very welcoming staff. A nice decor. We discovered what a sugar shack was. We ate very well. It was good, plentiful and very good value for money. We are retaining the address for a future stay and to communicate it to our acquaintances in France
Strategic moment of our tourist circuit in Canada: the Chez Dany sugar shack.. Very good friendliness and a very warm welcome despite the number of groups present when we passed. Our Canadian cousins are super welcoming and communicate their joy of life. We tasted their special lumberjack dish: soufflé omelette, pork pâté, beans, fried potatoes and braised ham. As well as the unmissable pancake with maple syrup and the syrup taffy served on ice cream. Ambient music and souvenir shop to end these good times. To do absolutely. Vegetarian options: To choose on site according to taste.
Everything is perfect. The cuisine, the service and the kindness of the people. To do absolutely
Typical and very correct cuisine Quality service and always kindness Typical place where you learn lots of things about maple syrup which is also unforgettable
The institution in maple syrup Everything is there, the atmosphere, the food, the waiters, the guides, everything is perfect A must see and do
Great ambiance good feel of the French Canadian culture. Music and entertainment was great and our group had so much fun dancing and singing while enjoying our food. Will stop again if we have the chance to visit that region again.
Amazing Pleasant welcome, fast service, very well explained visit. I recommend
Great time. Interesting visit. Location, Meals and typical atmosphere. We ate very well and at a reasonable price. Really welcoming and very friendly staff
Great ! What an experience, the atmosphere is great and the meal is very good. The servers are also very friendly! A good place to go during a stay in Quebec.
Typical lumberjack food
Great experience! Top notch welcome, atmosphere and meals. Thanks to Dany s team
A little greasy but excellent. Very kind staff
Something to see, but very touristy.
The sweets were magnificent, and so was the guides friendliness. Souvenir shop
An organized trip took us to Daniels house. Great atmosphere, plentiful rest, and very friendly staff
Excellent service, taking into account allergies. Family style serving, fun atmosphere with opportunity to get involved and play the spoons and dance. Delicious tire and interesting to learn about the historical and modern processes for gathering and making maple syrup. Good selection of items in the gift shop from Canada (but not all local). Vegetarian options: Vegetable pie (made with lentils and mushrooms) Dietary restrictions: Fruit salad for gluten-free
We had a great time, thank you to the whole team and to Dany for the time he gave us for our Jacasserie....
We enjoyed our food with live music. The food, service and ambiance of the restaurant were good. They offer hot maple syrup after food outside on a stick tastes delicious. Overall we enjoyed our time.
Unmissable tourist stop. You can taste the local dishes as much as you want, the setting is very pleasant and you leave less stupid with some knowledge about maple syrup. Excellent value for money
Good place good musician music, nice, simple fresh and good tasting food with choices. Everyone comes to quebec must enter this place with wonderful memories bringing home.
Thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome. We enjoyed the visit and the authentic meal. Thanks to Stéphane for the advice and addresses for the rest of our trip. We recommend you and we will not hesitate to come back if we pass by your place.
Encore merci !
Party atmosphere at lunch like the taverns; music, large table with typical cuisine and dancing. Explanations on the production of maple syrup and shop. Not to be missed.
typical place, very friendly staff,
Excellent explanation about the production of Maple honey
Very nice place. The food is plentiful. Service is family style. Live music and playing spoons is encouraged.
I went to the sugaring season and everything was perfect! Parking: Relevant location Kid-friendliness: Surely under parental supervision Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is fine
Great experience! A very warm interlude in a trip! If you are visiting Canada, don t hesitate. Brilliant, warm and very natural service; a festive atmosphere; an excellent meal and very interesting explanations on the production of maple syrup. Awesome !
Vegetarian options: Limited option/variety but yes available. Just enough to satiate the hunger. Recommended dishes
Wonderful location, for food, the atmosphere gave me an amazing impression.
Share their traditions, the food, the atmosphere, the warmth except for the waitress who is somewhat rude and perhaps tired of her duties.
Superb atmosphere in this highly folkloric place Typical Quebecois meal to absolutely discover Not to mention the kindness of everyone there
A great welcome and a great atmosphere! The icing on the cake with the maple syrup lollipop for dessert.
Great service! Very good food, nice atmosphere!
Visit only because it was full for the meal. But very nice person
Our beloved cabin for 2 years, we have the impression of being welcomed into a family meal, very warm, professional and courteous
Lovely staff. Adapted in the moment when we announced we were vegetarian.
It is a family place where you feel at home, attended by the owners. The cabin is huge and the service and attention is the best.
Thank you very much for this wonderful time spent with you. Superb place where you come away feeling full and happy to have eaten such good dishes. And finally, the cousin who offers us Taffy on ice, a real treat!!! Amazing experience!!! THANKS
A great experience, typical and enriching. To do without hesitation! (The vegetarian alternative is very complete and delicious)
A must do if you have the chance! Careful team Top atmosphere Easy reservation and email response in less than 24 hours Price 22 50/person excluding tips for an all-you-can-eat menu: unbeatable Thanks to them

Real sugar shack!! We eat extremely well. The waiters and waitresses make sure that nothing is missing. Quebec ambient music with a musician. Really good!
We had a great time. Thanks to Dany and her team, special mention for Stéphane
We love it
Very nice place to eat and have a very pleasant time.
We were enchanted by the place, the service, the food, the atmosphere, the welcome and above all the smiles Bravo Dany Nero and your team you won us over and whats more we can go there all year round for the pleasure of returning with our friends. A BIG THANK YOU Parking: There is space for buses and there is no shortage of space
Very fun, typical of Quebec, rich, very warm people who serve
Wow very good with the fires outside well done.
Too commercial
A very nice sugar shack but personally the desserts disappointed me a little. There was no grandfather in the syrup :( However, everything was excellent!
This sugar shack is open all year round. We can relive the atmosphere of the cabins of yesteryear. They serve the best crepes that remind us of our childhood. The owner, Dany, is in the kitchen but he doesnt forget to come and greet his customers. Thanks for the experience!
You have to book and you are served by Kings. I highly recommend!

Very disappointing in portion and menu. The waiter seemed completely bored to be there. Extremely expensive for what we got. The taffy and pancakes were delicious though.
Great food and very good service. A little noisy though.
Very friendly staff and atmosphere
We were a group of 20 and we were received like kings. Everything was perfect. Thank you gang for making us feel so welcome!!!
