Best restaurant in the area! Our experience at Hibiscus was second to none! Warmly welcomed, the hostess and the chef took the time to explain the menu to us, which made our discovery of Reunion Island cuisine even more pleasant. The soup of the day (carrot and sweet potato) was creamy and tasty. The warm and soft homemade bread goes perfectly with the butter that melts inside. The quality of the dishes was impeccable, everything seemed homemade. Even the cabbage, which I dont usually enjoy, was delicious. The peanut and tomato sauce was so good that I wanted to take some! I had the chicken plate and my partner chose the shrimp. The portions were generous and balanced. For fans of spice, the accompanying chili sauce is succulent. The dessert was on point: a crunchy frozen cake with almonds and candied ginger. Each dish was as beautiful as it was delicious, an experience not to be missed!

What can we say about our experience at the restaurant. We were a group of 10. Wow wow wow! The menu was presented to us in full by the chef. He took the time to come see us, chat with us, answer our questions. The passion with which he spoke about his dishes was captivating. The assembly of the plates was breathtaking. I was unfortunately very disappointed with the experience at this restaurant. While passing through we decided to stop there for an exotic culinary experience and we were all extremely disappointed. The garlic bread is tiny, the rice and lentils tasteless. The octopus in boulli and very unpleasant in the mouth. Dry and tasteless rougail sausages. Myself being in the culinary field and having already tasted and savored restaurants in Mauritius, it is the worst I have seen. For $166 it wasnt worth it at all. But I must specify that the excellent, courteous service, pleasant atmosphere, a personalized greeting from the chef at the table. At courtesy level number 1.

Through this nice little restaurant an experience is offered to us in a journey to Reunion Island through local music and explanations supported by photos for each of the typical dishes, the waitress whets our appetite with her contagious smile and the chef-owner who comes to greet you. It was a first for me and my partner, we had a great time with 2 passionate people, we introduced ourselves to the succulent local cuisine with fresh products and cooking with love and passion. I highly recommend for those who love taking out leftovers and discovering the unknown through an explosion of flavors and texture. We will definitely return to try other dishes from the tempting menu. Hello to Michel and his partner who are dedicated and who throughout the evening tell us stories of their countries which make us have a wonderful time. A great restaurant, bring your own wine!!! Very good service, big smile, very polite and very good food

Me and my partner wanted to try something different, and we were not disappointed. This restaurant is a true hidden treasure. All the dishes we tried were delicious and tasty, I had the octopus as the main dish and it was tender, it melted in your mouth. In addition, the waitress, herself from Reunion Island, knew her menu very well and gave us good advice. The chef came regularly to inform us about the dishes and answer our questions. All very friendly. I recommend to everyone who wants to try something new and exotic.

We enjoyed the food and the service. However, we had a reservation at 7 p.m. on a Friday evening and we were told around 7:45 p.m. that we had to order all our dishes because the kitchen was closing. In addition, there were no more fries and all the dishes including them were not available. A couple arrived after us and were also told to order quickly because the kitchen was closing. The food and service were good though. Dont go there if you want to take your time and enjoy your wine quietly.

This little restaurant is simply charming! a great discovery of the cuisine of Reunion Island. We tried the long-simmered squid and the shrimp in coconut sauce. It was delicious! A few steps from rue des Forges, bring your wine, its definitely worth the detour!

A must do when you are in Trois-Rivières and looking for an interesting meal. Reunionese cuisine served in generous portions, by a super friendly chef, tastes that you wont find elsewhere in the city or the surrounding area. The desserts are always a pleasure, the presentation is superb and the crème brûlée comes in different flavors, I have tried a new one each time. (The one in the photo was chocolate and pistachio, I almost ordered a second one.) My only misfortune is that I cant visit more often.

The best restaurant in Trois-Rivières. Traditional cuisine from Reunion Island. The dishes are tasty and the service attentive. I recommand it. I tried the vanilla duck and the shrimp curry. I cant wait to go back to try other dishes.

Im telling you, its hard to find a better place thats offers such good meals, large portions, very friendly staff and cozy place. I recommend the Shrimp Combava, and the chefs special creation desert with almond, ginger and strawberry. I loved it.

Definitely my best culinary discovery in Trois-Rivières! The dishes are tasty, the service impeccable by the owner and his partner, they explain the dishes to us with passion. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect, plus its bring your own wine!

Very nice culinary experience to come and discover at least once!! But you will want to go back To discover the type of cuisine on Reunion Island. The service is very good, the dishes and the menu is well explained. We tasted the octopus and shrimp and it was a totally delicious new flavor the starters and desserts are all just as wonderful! The dishes are served in a small cauldron which makes sharing easy, well thought out. The restaurant is small but its not cramped.

They even catered beautifully to our two young children, I could not ask for more! Parking: Street parking was had but the paid parking lot was close and easy with a lot of space. It was only $5. Kid-friendliness: They catered amazingly to both or 9 month old and our 4 year old. Exceptional restaurant!! Magnificent discovery! The meals are unique and excellent! Warm atmosphere. 5 stars for sure! Dietary restrictions: Celiac people (gluten intolerance) can eat very well in this restaurant. The vast majority of meals are gluten-free.

A very warm welcome. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed our dishes with relish: coconut shrimp, pulled pork hamburger, cod, chicken and especially the vanilla duck. Unique and delicious dishes. And the desserts! Succulents. We will return there very soon and often. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian meals are offered. Dietary restrictions: The majority of dishes are gluten-free and they pay special attention to food allergies.

Superb little restaurant! A truly great discovery in 2022 in downtown Trois-Rivieres! The host was super friendly and welcoming and what can I say about the food!. Wow! The culinary experience is amazing! Chef Jone knows and loves his business and it shows very well in the dishes served!! Overall I think it s a must-see in Trois-Rivieres. Highly recommended!

Truly a magnificent discovery, small authentic restaurant, homemade food with local ingredients. I ate the vanilla duck, the flavors and quality of this dish, EXTRAORDINARY!!!! Not to mention desserts with homemade caramel, HUMMMM.

Finally a different restaurant that takes us somewhere other than the restaurants on Des Forges. The terrace is very pleasant, but we mainly go there for the food. The octopus is amazing and the shrimp curry is sublime, in short were going back very soon! Ronald

Aucune bouffe ne ressemble ou goutte a ça dans la region, je doutes même au Quebec en entier. Mon coup de coeur était le dessert puisque je suis un bec a sucre. A tester absolument!

Its been a long time since Ive had a good meal like that at a restaurant. Original, exotic, new flavors, well-balanced dishes. We ate the sauces until the last drop. I cant wait to go back to try the other dishes on the menu. A great discovery!!!

Authentic Reunionese cuisine, generous portions, impeccable presentation, fantastic taste . All the dishes are good and there is something to suit your taste on the menu, guaranteed! And the desserts are all as beautiful as they are good (or the opposite), wonderful. (On the other hand, they all contain dairy products, sorry for people with lactose intolerance) Vegetarian options: The vegetable curry is excellent. There is no restaurant in Trois-Rivières that offers better value for money for vegan dishes; honestly after eating it you almost feel like youve robbed the boss.

A true marvel! Whether its the service, the soups, the breads, the dishes AND EVEN MORE the desserts, the entire menu is a pure delight, with a rare identity. Tomato coconut soups or even apple and sweet potato soups are real gastronomic propositions! I have the pleasure of having a starter, a main course and a dessert made with great talent (for two it costs around $60). Without hesitation for me the best restaurant in Trois Rivieres and for miles around!!
