Very nice restaurant directly on Forges with a great atmosphere inside and a very pretty and large terrace. Which is better between service and food? Although my lamb shank was delicious, the team who served us was really fast, taking the time to explain the menu and the drinks to us and all this with a big smile and a good sense of humor . For my shank, it was perfect. Accompanied by cooked garlic, a great puree and well-seasoned seasonal vegetables, I really enjoyed it. A favorite for this beautiful restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. There were 6 of us with a round table, we could all see each other, we really enjoyed it . Its quite expensive but its worth it. I am attaching some photos to give you an idea of the plates.

Big negative point: the lack of price transparency, for Christmas dinner we had a group price which was supposed to be $65. No indication on the menu that there was a more expensive dish. When we received the bill I noticed that the bib had an extra $5. In addition, coffee was included... but we offer you options without telling you what is included and we charge you $4.50. In the end $10 more per person when paying for a group. The bill adds up quickly. I dont like this bill inflating technique. But no mention when ordering. The price doesnt matter. The lack of transparency yes. Positive point: the meal was excellent, great atmosphere, truly impeccable service!!

We knew we asked, when booking online, to be located in a quiet location with no traffic, which was not respected by the restaurant owner. We were in the middle of the main passage and stuck on the bar.

Rib steak aged with tirailles which was bathed in oil with practically raw vegetables. Boiled ribs with sauce applied on them not grilled. Tasteless Jack Daniels sauce. Even uncooked vegetables. What a disaster for a restaurant that calls itself upscale. And the price???Adjust your shot. The worst restaurant on Rue Des Forges...cross the street and there are much better...and weve been to all the restaurants on this street...

This is a first for me and I already had high esteem because of the different comments about the restaurant. I must admit that everything exceeded my expectations! The portions are generous. They provide you with take-out containers for your leftovers. The chef even stopped by to ask our opinion on our meal and recommended a recipe for the rest of our lamb! For my part, my Le Grill-style filet mignon was perfect! !

WOW! I had the crispy squid as a starter, the best Ive tasted in my life! (warning: there are so many you should share them). For my main course, I chose the slow-roasted CAB prime rib, a cut of meat so tender that it melts in your mouth despite being 1 thick!

A bit of a wait for our orders but we were offered a portion of arugula salad for the inconvenience. For the rest perfect as usual with the bonus of the blues duo SouthBreeze with Mo Blues and Guy Marcotte.

Very slow service for drinks. Very expensive for what it is. A salad without meat and without vegetables except lettuce for $29?... Only one choice of sauce for the Burger which was smoked and tasted like coffee, in short not for all tastes and we were quickly saturated. The filet mignon was ridiculous for the price; no sauce to accompany it and the size of a large fist at most. The fries were not homemade and did not come with sauce. The fried squid was delicious. This restaurant has potential due to its menu choice, but lacks finish, rigor and originality for the price paid. Its location means that it can afford these prices, but is to the detriment of customers...

In summary, way too expensive for the quality of food and service. - Ribs with an uninspired sauce, lukewarm. - Warm fries. Which appear to be frozen in origin? No sauce served with it. - 15 minute wait for a glass of wine. - Almost no service while half the restaurant is empty. Super meh, too bad.

I give it a four star to be honest with the meals of the other guests who were with me and the excellent service! I ordered the salmon with rice and vegetables. For my dish, I only give two stars! This comes from the price ratio and the content of the plate. At this price I expected a minimum of wow effect but it was visually very ordinary. Here, were talking about a dish costing almost $40. I think a small salad would have raised the dish to perhaps three stars. But the whole thing was bland and I dont think this dish is up to par with the other dishes Ive seen at all. Friendly, smiling welcome, waitress attentive to her customers, who knows her menu. A person comes by very regularly to see if everything is going well. We had dinner this week and I was dreaming of a beef steak au jus but I received an overcooked piece of meat, which according to the chef was all they had . The manager offered us our two glasses of wine to compensate but the meal remained more than very disappointing. I therefore do not recommend this restaurant.

Unhonest bosses and borderline food. We are French but have lived in Canada for a long time! When the waitress asked us if everything was ok, we said no. (Burger not good and wine corked). However, we had already eaten here last year and everything was good. The boss then decided to automatically include the tips in our invoice! Illegal and shameful!
