Restaurant Le Rouge Vin in Trois-Rivières

We were placed very close to a group and it was very noisy, there should be a corner for the groups, it was a bit unpleasant, we could barely hear each other speaking. For a dinner that cost us $375, a little peace and quiet would have been appreciated. On the positive side, the food was good and the service was very good. Wheelchair accessibility: Is there an elevator? If so, I havent seen it but I would have appreciated it, with a broken knee, the stairs arent great.

Our server did not introduce himself, did not tell us about the unlimited mimosas for $25, showed up very little or not at the table to check if we needed anything, etc. Parking: Poorly signposted, poorly lit, poorly maintained. Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately not available for people in wheelchairs and difficult to access for people with reduced mobility from the parking lot to the restaurant.

The place is magnificent! The Sunday brunch is excellent and varied. There is something for everyone. The service is personalized and attentive.

The establishment is not suitable and has not provided an elevator for the elderly or people with reduced mobility. This is truly a complete lack of consideration, this place is not inclusive at all.

I took the seafood plate for $80, lack of taste and COLD, my partner liked the flank steak, the squid had hair (never seen that)

There were 4 of us who had 3 different menu choices and we were all delighted with our meal, the cooking was perfect and the flavors exquisite. In short, an excellent meal that we paid for with great pleasure because it was worth the cost.

Reservation at 7:15 p.m. for 6 people. 4 out of 6 decide to have the unlimited seafood table dhôte. In the menu it specifies until 10 p.m. We got the included starter and soup pretty quickly, both were excellent. But then the main plate which then gives access to unlimited seafood arrived at 9:15 p.m. So that left us little time to enjoy the unlimited... All the food served was excellent though. The service was ok without more for this type of $$$ restaurant. Bill with tip of $325 for two. During the 3 hours and 15 minutes that we were there on 3 occasions we had to ask for a refill of water.

Very disappointing, extremely slow service, we arrived at 6:30 p.m., we were served at 9:30 p.m. The cooking was inadequate, the steak requested rare was lukewarm and overcooked, the crab legs were cold and tasted nothing (probably not enough salt in the cooking water) the garlic butter tasted like oil, the Cod was undercooked, soup bland, pasta sauce ordinary. In addition we had errors on an invoice. Nothing satisfying! Despite the ambiance, the view and the location which are perfect; the service, the price, the cooking and the taste are not worth the price which is already very high. I do not recommend!

To celebrate my wifes birthday, I decided to invite more than 10 people to celebrate. When we arrive we grab a drink and look at the menu, everything looks inviting. After a while, the waitress finally takes our orders, and the service begins. After the starters and the soup, this is where things got bad, we waited more than 2 hours before our main courses arrived. My wife and I ordered cod, it was not well cooked, and served on a bed of pasta that was far too salty and bathed in oil. My daughter ordered a rare steak, she received a medium well done steak. My son and his wife ordered plates of seafood, which arrived cold, as it was unlimited, they ordered a lobster tail which arrived piping hot. In short, it seems that there was a serious problem in the kitchen. For the waitress, it seemed that she did not want to serve us, and even at the end of the meal, we had to run after her to get our bills. (for customer service we will come back ) In short, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant. A very disappointed group!! Hello, following a dinner with friends, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food as well as the atmosphere of the restaurant. The dishes were of good quality as well as the temperature. To try, the braised beef cheek as a main course, delicious and cut with a fork. We will definitely return! Refined and tasty food served in a charming setting with a view of the water. Large selection of wines and cocktails, all delicious. Jimmy gave us impeccable and friendly service. We will return there for sure! I highly recommend.

The atmosphere would be perfect with the view of the river and the relative calm of the restaurant, if it werent for the BOOM BOOM music that we are subjected to. Very disappointed with our experience at the restaurant. I had a lot of expectations after reading the comments and in relation to the menu choices and prices. The starter soup was good. On the other hand, the meat arrived cold and contained a lot of fat. Same thing for the plate of the person who accompanied me. A glass of wine costs $15 even though they give you a tiny quantity. The waiter was very nice though and provided us with good service. The view is magnificent and the restaurant is very beautiful. Unfortunately, I dont plan to return there following my experience.

My partner and I have been 5 times since the end of May and we are very satisfied. Warm atmosphere, very good service, and what can we say about the menu: generous portions, very good, perfect cooking. Oh yes, I forgot, a very nice wine list. I highly recommend it.

The concept has changed since the move. Instead of a sophisticated and elegant restaurant with piano and tablecloths and people dressing chic, now its more of a bistro style place. On the kitchen side, also disappointed by my choice, the flank steak, although pink on the inside, was burnt on the outside and this gave it a bitter taste. The fries were potato trailer style, too dry from double cooking. Dont take the extra foie gras, its ridiculous, a small piece of something very dry. We also took the land and sea, nothing to say, it was good. The succulent squid starter was definitely the highlight of the dinner. However, the managers effort to satisfy us is excellent, I must emphasize it. I sincerely hope that it will return to the standards of the time that the restaurant was at Gouverneur, it was my favorite restaurant since 2008 but as is I would not return there for dinner, probably yes for lunch but for a special occasion, there is another restaurant overlooking the water at the same prices in Trois-Rivières, without naming it, which more meets the quality standards that the Rouge vin had previously accustomed me to.

Lots of aspirations to be a fine dining restaurant, but there are a lot of ingredients missing to succeed... The service of wine, water or pepper was perfect, but without any explanation of the dishes, vegetables, herbs that these dishes contain, like the funds of the restaurants that he thinks are part of. The food was well presented, but without any surprise for the taste, a tuna tataki poorly accompanied and a rack of lamb a little overcooked. In short, for the price, there are 3 or 4 much better restaurants in Trois-Rivières and many more within a 45-minute drive. A good family restaurant, but definitely not a fine cuisine restaurant!

Sunday brunch consists of an excellent seafood buffet and classic lunch. Its worth the detour! Magnificent view of the river! The service is excellent, the employees are friendly. The music during our visit on Sunday September 8 was far too intense. A little soft music would do the trick while eating seafood and enjoying the view of the river.

Even as a rock fan, Im not sure that blaring Guns N Roses is the best musical choice for Sunday brunch. Also, the buffet section is a bit tight, but theres not much to do there. Nice place if you have a table near the window. Small and intimate. The menu offers a limited choice. The salmon tartare as a starter was fresh and refreshing. I would have liked to have more choice for the main course. I ordered the flank steak which was correct. It wasnt wow. I will continue to explore the restaurants of Trois-Rivières. Le Buck is still my favorite. Wheelchair accessibility: On the second floor and I didnt see an elevator.

The food was good. Decent salmon tartare and very good flank steak. On the other hand, no vegetables or salad with the flank steak and a sample of sauce. For $40, this dish lacked refinement. The wine was excellent and so was the dessert. The location is very good, beautiful view of the river.

We had a wonderful time! Excellent food. We had salmon tartare and clam chowder as a starter. Tasty and well seasoned food. For the meal, we were tempted by the flank steak. Perfect cooking! And what about the view! We were on the terrace. Nice atmosphere and music not too loud. They have patio heaters for cooler evenings. Dietary restrictions: There was a gluten-free option for desserts.

This was the first time we went to the marina since the restaurant moved and we werent sure we would like it..., because we liked to walk into town afterwards to digest.... but we really liked it. I really like this new formula and the place too. We had super good service and the food was very good and hot just like I like it. We liked the Belle petite musique instead of the piano player at the other restaurant. Yes its true that its expensive adding fuel since we come from Quebec.... but I cant help but come at least once a year, because we really like this restaurant which I recommend to everyone who love seafood!!!!!! We had a lovely evening, even if we couldnt go outside afterward to walk along the marina because of the heavy rain that was falling. Thank you very much for everything.

Nous sommes allés le 6 juillet les entrées et les repas excellents. Jeudi dernier nous n avons pas été chanceux, une entrée de salade lardon (César) manquait de vinaigrette et était fade. Nous avons aussi commandé 3 entrées de tartare de saumon et il était presque brun, peut-être trop de balsamique, le goût décevant. Bref un peu déçus.

We had a wonderful evening during our parents wedding anniversary! The dishes were excellent and the service attentive. It s a place to return to with the added bonus of a view of the river which is superb!

Really a beautiful restaurant. The renovations to accommodate the Rouge Vin were carried out with great care and a simple, refined and tasteful decor. The strong point is surely the terrace as well as the large windows with breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River. A great opportunity to take a look at the magnificent Marina adjacent to the restaurant. I have the impression that the restaurant is running smoothly. Unlimited seafood meal for 2 @$235.00 including a bottle of wine of your choice for $50.00. Starter, seafood dish and dessert. 6 Dry Mussels, Shrimp, 1 Lobster Tail, and 1 section of small Crab. Served with rice, broccoli and garlic margarine. Serving everything in the same dish has the effect of eating it cold. At this price it would be advisable to serve by the piece so that the Lobster and Crab is served hot. (the lobster was overcooked and therefore tough) We took a second lobster tail and it was served hot. A real garlic butter would be appropriate for this type of restaurant. Total bill $309.00 At this price it would be normal to expect 5* service. On the other hand, we had a good time with this superb setting and surely we will give the Rouge Vin a second chance, but not for the seafood.

Total disappointment all round! Poor service on a Monday evening when the restaurant was empty. Our plates arrive after an hour and a half of waiting and the flank steak is way overcooked. The server ns mentions that we are the 4th customers this evening with this same comment. The customers around us are really not satisfied just like us. Were not usually picky eaters, but this was my worst restaurant experience. We didnt even eat, because we returned our plates... I really dont recommend this restaurant..! After 1h15, we asked for bread which never arrived....

Extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant, which nevertheless has the potential to be a must for our beautiful city... we come for dinner on a quiet Monday evening, very few customers... the service is very, very slow... not only for us, but the majority of customers around us on the terrace... except for preferred customers who arrived at least 1 hour later than everyone else, and served like kings by the owner who is on site, and this, before everyone else... which shocked more than one... we didnt mind it since we are not usually difficult when we go out to restaurants.. On the other hand, forced to admit that this was for me the worst culinary outing ever... despite the many questions from the surrounding tables, no adjustments were made by the staff on site... when we received our plate afterwards 1h30 wait, the steak was way overcooked... the waiter told us that it was the 4th customer who told him the same thing that evening.. The 2 tables near us also mentioned the same comment... its the first time I did this, but I had to return the 2 plates and I paid my bill to leave the premises... without having eaten but having paid a wine bill that I would have drunk without savoring the piece of meat ordered... I find it deplorable that the staff did not seem at all bothered by the comments from customers on site... the only positive comment is for the young girl who served water .. she was friendly and she tried to save the service for the rest of the staff... for the rest, for us, it is really to be avoided in the future...

Me and my husband went out to eat last Friday evening. We are very disappointed with the seafood buffet. Excellent salmon tartare, excellent seafood bisque, but the rest of the seafood, no taste, probably steamed or baked. Garlic butter without any taste. Looked like oil. As long as serving, happy to put the scales, they never came to wipe the table a little. For$292.00 I do not recommend. Not your seafood dinner. Having had a seafood restaurant myself Unsatisfied customers.

The landscape is magnificent. The food was very good, but the service was really poor for this type of place. We were all very disappointed! We regretted our choice, even though the food was worth it.

We were very disappointed with our experience at Rouge Vin. The cheese and charcuterie platter were OK, nothing more. The cheeses didnt taste much. The pasta, on the other hand, left us with a... salty taste in the mouth. There was so much salt that we asked the waitress if they could make them less salty in the kitchen. The dish was better the second time, but still VERY salty. We werent able to finish our plates. The story goes that Im still looking for the lobster on my plate... In short, I expected a lot more for a restaurant with such high prices! The only positive point was the service. Our waitress was very nice.

They have well appointed the restaurant, nice atmosphere. The vibe with the view of the marina is very pleasant. (Close your eyes so as not to see the Wayagamack ). I took the hotel table. Scallop at the starter which was excellent! Soup, very average. Duck breast, also excellent. Delicious dessert too. Overall, the 5 of us had a great evening, but we didnt all have the same experience. Some meals were forgotten or left late. There were some awkward situations in the department. It lacks a bit of finesse for this type of restaurant but they have time to improve it.

Ils ont déménagé à l île St- Quentin. Table d hôte non disponible mais sur le menu. On l a apprit seulement au moment de commander..Les plats ne sont plus à la hauteur pour le prix . Rien à voir avec l expérience gustative d avant. Les desserts sont commerciales . Pour une fraction du prix , vous pourriez manger mieux ailleurs. Très déçue.

Je ne comprend pas que la ville ait pu leur donner un permis de rénovations qui excluerait comme clientèle les personnes handicapées et par le fait même leur famille et amis. Nous sommes en 2024! Un peu de considération s il vous plaît. Je me demande ce que l office des personnes handicapées du Québec (OPHQ) en pense.

Very bad experience. The scenery is beautiful the facilities are very clean unfortunately the food is very poor. I had a discussion with the manager unfortunately she was unfriendly she didnt even apologize. In the end I didnt pay anything but I wasted my time looking for the restaurant. You should not trust every recommendation site.

Our first time to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. Glass decor, terrace and FABULOUS water views. Regarding our meal, the strip loin at $48 should be avoided with 50% tightness and a fatty outline. Despite this inconvenience, we still recommend the restaurant experience.

Disappointing experience, the view is magnificent though. There were 9 of us and almost every couple had disappointments or a mistake in their dishes. The waiter never came to refill our wine glasses, a minimum to do in this type of restaurant. Hoping that it improves because there is great potential.

Wow! What a change since Ive been dreaming of a delicious restaurant with a breathtaking view of the river in Trois-Rivières! We can say mission accomplished for Red wine. The restaurant is super beautiful, a totally successful decor, an incredible view. The most beautiful terrace in Trois-Rivières and a revisited menu that deserves praise. We are very close to what is done in the best restaurants in Montreal like Marcus, Moishes to give examples. The service could be a little more confident and precise but we have to excuse the lack of experience in this new location. We observe lengths which seem to come from a lack of precision on the tempo of an ideal service and whether the restaurant is full or empty. Earth and sea, succulent Seafood tower, too Deer rack, surprising Burrata, very fresh salmon mousse! To try, it s a safe bet that you will adopt it The buffet is good but bet on the regular cuisine it has more finesse to offer. Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately not really accessible for people in wheelchairs.

Ive tried to book twice now. The first time the restaurant was under renovation therefore closed and the second time still closed for moving without reopening date

I loved the atmosphere and the restaurant exceeded my expectations but I was still very disappointed by the seafood platter (all you can eat). Being used to eating my seafood cooked in salted water, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor of the crab. (I asked the waiter and he confirmed that they steamed it) On the other hand, everything else was delicious! I will go back for the table dhôte package which looked great.

Bar atmosphere sitting with my wife to have a good evening 4 shouters at the bar not able to talk I ask the waitress to change places which she does but removes the clean utensils and napkins from our new table to bring everything back from our old table dirty napkins and our kitchen utensils we cant say that its a feast I got along much better very disappointed

We went as a couple on December 31, 2023. My wife and I had one of the best romantic dinners. Truly worthy of a 5 star meal. We look forward to seeing you and your team again at your new home.

Excellent, we enjoyed delicious dishes. We took the 200 dollar formula, all you can eat. Everything was perfect and refined. Thanks also to Louis Philippe for his impeccable service and kindness.

We had unlimited seafood for two people ($200) with the choice of a bottle of wine (included). We ordered as a starter, fried squid and crabcake and it was excellent! The homemade seafood soup was also very good! The shrimp, mussels and crab were good, but the rice was ordinary and the lobster tails were way overcooked... The garlic butter was bad. Desserts; correct. For a total bill of $276/2 people. (Service + tax incl.) we must expect a higher level on the plate. The service was impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere pleasant.

What about the all-you-can-eat seafood menu? How excellent, excellent and still excellent!!! Not too expensive too!! A mega deal for those who are hungry. The table dhôte, without refill, is enough for many people. We will undoubtedly return there very soon!

Almost flawless! The atmosphere is calm, intimate and not noisy at all. The service was excellent even though there was a group playing at the same time, which we couldnt hear at all. The bread and hummus starter, it was by far the best hummus I have ever eaten. All the dishes from the gourmet table dhôte that we ate were absolutely delicious down to the last crumb: brined salmon and bison tartare (starters 1), cream of mushroom soup (starters 2), sweetbreads with oyster mushrooms and the 6oz AAA beef filet mignon aged 60 days (main meals), finishing with cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake (desserts). Your chef should sign up for the show Les Chefs! The portions were good and we ate our fill. The only small negative criticism would be that the chairs (not bench) are not very very comfortable, but everything else was perfect! Really a great evening, thank you to your entire team! We will definitely come back to try your seafood!
