Very unpleased with the service here. Quality of food wasn't the best for my first time eating here. Also, Customer Service needs improvement. Check the reviews before attending!
Looking through fast food i stumbled upon this establishment boy i should have read the comments.. Rude customer service and no cleanliness..
As a former Edo employee I'm pretty sure you are not allowed to deny service to someone claiming you have 0 sushi then proceed to sell the same roll to the person behind me, not sure how you can have no rolls period and then sell them right after you tell me no.
Worst sushi ever. And the longest wait ever... it was slapped together almost as if they forgot our order.
Been here last week, and got myself a chicken teriyaki bento with thin noodles, spring roll and california roll. Food was good, but sushi and customer service was alright
I recently visited Edo Japan restaurant Tsawwassen mills location on Saturday around the afternoon and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service was quite disappointing. From the moment I walked in, it seemed like the staff were uninterested and inattentive. We waited almost 20 minutes to give our order. my experience with the cashiers left a lot to be desired. There was a old lady on there cash. It was clear that she struggled with basic tasks like reading the order correctly or understanding simple instructions. I had to repeat my order multiple times, and even then, it was still entered wrong. When I tried to explain the mistake, the cashier seemed confused and unable to fix it without calling over a manager, which slowed down the process even more. The lack of basic communication skills made what should have been a quick and easy transaction incredibly frustrating.she doesn't seems professional as at all.it was almost impossible to get cashier's attention for simple things like water refills she cannot even understand that basic thing. It's alarming that a restaurant would allow such poorly trained or ill-equipped staff to handle customer orders and payments.Customer service starts at the register, and if your cashiers can't handle even that, it really diminishes the overall dining experience. I hope they invest in better training or hiring staff who can provide a smoother and more professional experience. The overall attitude of the staff made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I had heard good things about the food here, but with such poor customer service, I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.
My son tried the kids sushi and he liked the taste so he had to go for the second one😅 He also liked the kids sugar free apple juice.
I was at the Tsawwassen Mills and had the beef ramen soup, and I was satisfied with what I ordered. My husband had their chicken teriyaki.
I regret the poor service and bad food quality. A bitter and unexpected experience. Customer rights must be respected; this is a principle.
AVOID THIS EDO JAPAN. the indian staff hired dont cook properly at all. the veggies and not well chopped. Food undercooked. Service and attitude of people their is unfriendly.
After ordering your meals Make Sure to Check your Receive! They will add 20% Tips on YOUR PAYMENT UNLESS YOU CLICK CHANGE N PRESS NO TIPS! WHAT A RIP OFF! JUST A STUPID FOODCOURT! JUST LIKE ROBBERY VERB!!
Like others, I was charged 20% tip automatically .at a food court stall, this is ridiculous! Don t understand the rationale here; you just lost a potential repeat customer over 1 transaction? Not the best business model in my opinion. My advice: stay away!
Nice stuff. Very delicious shrimp noodle
The beef ramen soap is so good
The Chop Chop was 90% rice and 10% vegetables. They were also out of regular shrimp.
Veggie Sushi Rolls
Very beautiful place
I got food poisoned after had their California roll. It s cold and I couldn t tell how long it sit in the fridge.
Great sashimi and sushi as well as the services.
Got the teriyaki salmon with extra teriyaki and the whole thing tasted like water. Gyoza was good though
Good place to eat (they close from 3 to 4 to eat).
Worst and ugliest sushi l ever had. It was definitely not fresh and came from fridge. This is the first time l did not finish my sushi. The lady who worked there just trough it in front of me. Not even a small dish for soy. And just one tiny ginger that you can see in the picture. Food
Terrible experience. Awful front cashier. Beef teriyaki meat was not even sliced up. Kinda hard to cut them with the cheap plastic utensils. California roll was worse than a gas station sushi. Edo is usually decent. But this place ranks as the worst one in my books.
good food
Not acceptable customer service from one of the female cashier. She shouldnt be working there. Very miserable person you lose your appetite if shes the serving you. Kid-friendliness: Most of the staffs are nice and friendly, the Manager of this location we have known each other for four years before covid pandemic. We understand each other, however, there is one female employee whos always causing trouble for me reporting that I am rude to her, I wasnt, a year ago, she had done the same thing. She had reported to the Manager that I was rude to her, as a matter of fact, I just told her that I wanted my food really well done. I dont think it was rude if you are requesting that you wanted your food well cooked. I have had surgery recently and I have to be selective how my food is done! I didnt go there for over a year since then. I started going there ago four months now theres a big turned over of staffs, however, mostvof them right now, are nice to me. Except the same female person that still works there who had caused trouble for me last year. I wishe she will just quit. She has a very bad customer service skill not acceptable., no smile, a very miserable person. If you work in a public places like that, I will say that your customer service is exemplary! Please work somewhere else, you don t fit at the job you do! Flor
Excellent place to shop a bit far from where I live
Real meaning of sushi..... must enjoy
Good food, rude staff
Its good food but very basic. The veggies are not cooked enough. The sauces could be a bit better. My teens like it enough to keep going back.
Excellent place to enjoy Japanese style BBQ. The menu is expensive and its recommended to go in a big enough group (say 4) to enjoy the BBQ offers they have.
We really enjoyed our meal . It was fast, hot and really delicious
Delicious food fresh friendly service loved the concept of fresh and fast cooking before your eyes. Will definitely visit again
Up your portions, this place is a scam. Smh
The worst Edos I have eaten at.well not eaten it was so terrible I threw it in the compost. Old mushy vegetables underdone prawns and disgusting rice. Go to Edos at Woodgrove in Nanaimo they will show these girls how to cook.
sushi is 2 days old, not fresh cooked
Yummy and nice! Staffs are very friendly. But i always fail with amount of teriyaki sauce! I tried 4 spoons and that was too salty so next time i tried 2 spoons and that was still too salty lol.
Quality of food isnt as good as it use to be.
Never try again! Taste the worst
Worst experience ever. To star with no pork wonton available. Okay that is fine I can accept they ran out. Okay get the beef udon soup instead and ice tea and California roll. Over $26 tickets get the California roll right away and wait for the order. When I get it, they forgot about the tea. Okay that is fine patiently waited for it while they corrected the mistake. As I star eating they did not give me udon noodle I got Ramen instead. The California roll, the rice is hard and undercooked. I do not recommended this vendor.
Staff was friendly, but the food was flavourless. The California Roll had super hard rice. Reminded me of gas station sushi. The chicken teriyaki was very bland and the vegetables were watery and mushy. Had better food on a budget airline. Definitely wished I ate somewhere else, but hope they can make changes so I could try it again!
bento box it tasted fine
Best restaurant I always go there to eat once a week and another day take out food for the weekend. There chicken teriyaki with noodles is so delicious and there spring rolls I have to always order are yummy they all know me so well I don t even need to tell them what I want they know cause I am there favourite. Love you all.
They forgot about my order. And they were soooooooo slow. It wasnt a weekend, and it wasnt busy. It was My first time having them and was not impressed.
I ordered sushi bento. I heard good things about it but it wasnt really something special
Not many Edo locations in BC. Always get Edo when at this mall. Great as always! Little bit messy on the service area, it was busy so I get it but could of been cleaner.
Experience was below expectations. Poor customer service. Employees did not seem to care. Not recommended.
Great food.
Ill give it one star only because the food was JUST decent.. on the service side however, the assistant manager made my food without any gloves or mask. When i asked him to wear the mask while huddling over my food, it led to a loud vocal altercation that left him shaking like he was ready to fight. His coworker shouted at him repeatedly to go in the back and managed to calm the little guy down. I couldnt believe how foul mouthed and feisty this little poodle was... and in front of half the food court at that.. I laughed him off and proceeded with my day but ill tell you. Im never going back to Edo India again, he should consider himself lucky i was on my lunch break from the Ports.
Great customer service! They were so accommodating with what I wanted. My bento box was really good! And their teriyaki sauce bottles made a great Christmas gift!
Avoid at all cost this location!!! Im giving one star and is also too much. They deserve zero star!!!! I ordered a veggie Bento box and too bad I didnt take a picture but was ridiculous!! Some edamame , rice e some veggies drowend in teriyaki sauce! No tempura, no sushi rolls, no salad. I paid $13 plus tax for that so called Bento box!! Unbelievable!I definitely not recommend this location! Dont waste your money!!
I wish I could do no stars because this place really deserves no stars at this location the service is horrible and not to be racist but I thought it was called edo Japan not edo Indian and yah I get that the mall has no workers cuz no one else will work there but I am a customer and I think I deserve some respect because I feel really mistreated and judged and now I will be never returning to this location because the girl took out her hair right over the grill and I couldnt even eat my food because I was so grossed out.
Foods tasted just ok. Portion is just ok, the rice option is small (not worth for what you paid). Ordering, serve, and check out speed are pretty fast. Located at food court of theTsawwassen Mills shopping mall. Public restrooms available nearby. Credit cards accepted. Employees are basically nice and friendly. Free mall parking available.
Delicious
Horrible. Udon had flavourless broth and a few pieces of brown lettuce. The richmond center location is way better.
Big disappointment. Do not eat here! The people at this location either are clueless or knowingly not following Edo standards. Couldn t even tell if it was beef they are using as it definitely does not resemble it. They don t bother cooking it in the sauce like all other locations do. The result is an overly salted weird tasting bowl with sauce carelessly dumped on at the end with an attitude to top it off. Big waste of money and horrible experience. No other Edo location in lower mainland is close to this awful level.
Dissapointing at best. I was very excited to eat here from the pictures and the smell. Bit after ordering (noodles with chicken and beef) it was apparent that there was no emphasis put on quality and full attention placed on speed. I can not recommened this restaurant if you are looking for a quality eating experience.
Do not go to this location. I am a big edo fan, I will never go back to this one. I ordered a sumo size meal and they tried to give me the regular amount of chicken and rice instead of sumo size. So I got my money back.
Nothing is cooked properly here. Dont waste your money.
We ordered food and we were not given the option of different rice.(white rice/Brown rice.) They were so hurry to send us when i asked them about brown rice, They gave me silly reason that the white rice is already on the plate and they cannot change it. The guy on the grill literally touched the raw shrimp with the spoon of Teziki sauce and he didnt washed the spoon. Which i think is food contamination. Bad experience dont go here.
Good stir fry, a little expensive.
