Simply Pho Family Owned Vietnamese Cuisine in Tsawwassen

Noodles are too overcooked, they do not put the noodles the soup base upon cooking to infuse the broth with the flavour. The broth tastes like beef broth with a pinch of salt, essentially tasteless. Portion was extra noodles is huge. I ll give credit to that. However, as soon as you put the bean sprouts and other topping on. The soup overflows the bowl eg not good. There is not enough soup to noodle ratio. They did not account for the noodle absorption with the soup, by the time that you re done. You re left with more noodles than soup. Price: 16$ per bowl is absurd for the taste. Good value for the portion. Dish: I selected the #1 Rice Noodle The extra noodles ( 3$ more ) can feed two to three people. Almost couldn t finish it, I usually get extra noodles in every pho. The tea tastes fire tho. A hint of milk tea, the best.

You can eat The Best Pho here I used it for lunch with my family. Ive eaten pho at various restaurants, but the pho here was the best. The staff are also kind and friendly. Staff is very friendly. It was worth coming from North Vancouver. We will come again

We stayed in Tsawwassen for a night and decided to order takeout from Simply Pho for dinner. I had to share how good it was! We had Lemongrass Chicken, Spring rolls, wonton soup, and prawns. Everything was fresh, delicious, and filled us right up. Even our picky toddler gobbled up their dinner. Oh, and the portions were very generous. We will definitely be back in the future!

My husband and I dined in on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn t very busy. I ordered the house special and he ordered the lemongrass chicken with rice. The soup was bland as to the other phos I ve tried. Also the rice plates does not come with a side of soup which typically we get from other Pho places. Probably because this place is still new. The service was good though and the place was clean.

This Restaurant perfectly earns these three stars, but I cant say it gets anything more. It is very much average, and only that. Other Pho Restaurants do what this Restaurant does, but better, and if theres a reasonable option of going to those instead of this one, I would recommend doing so. However I wouldnt say to avoid it if you had to go inconveniently far out of your way. I ordered a bowl of Pho, and was disappointed that the noodles, and the soup itself was very bland. With the included vegetables and meat it didnt taste bad, but it didnt taste particularly good either. It was the definition of a 3 star experience. The atmosphere inside is fine, but not memorable. As for Service, it took about 15-20 minutes for my food to arrive, and again, while I have nothing particularly bad to say about it, I really cant say theres anything that stands out as good either. They took my order as fast as possible, brought it over, and that was all the interaction with Staff I had. They never returned to the table. Overall, it felt like exactly what you would think a 3 star experience is.

I am at a loss for words. I asked for a large wonton soup with broccoli. Also ordered some deep fried wontons. I got a half a bowl of soup and 6 deep fried wontons for $22 bucks. No wonder this place is always empty. Soup was very bland not much flavour. I remember why I don t go here !! Total waste of money. Go else where.

This is my go to place for Vietnamese food! I love coming here after a long day at work for a quick meal! The food is so fresh and the atmosphere is clean and also relaxing. The service is always excellent as well. Such a great addition to the Tsawwassen community!

I ordered for takeout. 57. C m Bò Kho - Vietnamese beef brisket stew with soft carrots and a side of rice. I absolutely loved it! It had a nostalgic feel. Its a rich and hearty broth with soft beef. A1. Ch Giò - Pork Spring Rolls. Fresh and crispy. I loved the fish sauce dip. Bánh Mì Th t N ng - Banh Mi was full of veg, not my thing personally but still a good quality. Pina Colada Bubble Tea - Amazing!! Comes without the bubbles by default but I personally like them without. They have a lot of bubble tea milk and slush flavors which not a lot of other places do. Service was always kind and attentive. Overall would come back.

This is our familys go to place for Vietnamese food. The staff is friendly, the service is great. The food is delicious. In these times of financial inflation, where restaurants are cutting portion size or quality, Simply Pho has managed to keep their quality and also keep our appetites full. Highly recommended!!

Solid 3/5 Pho was okay, but not eceptional? But Im super happy that they had an option just for plain pho and no beef in it. It can get caught up in my braces. Only reason why its not 5/5 is bc Im pretty sure they scammed me out of my own gluten-free hoisin sauce bottle I didnt find it in my car or anywhere else, and by the time I ran back, the same server who served me food told me they didnt have it. Which, fair enough, but I joked earlier on that I had my own sauce to be gluten free, so im pretty sure that even if the server wasnt the one to clean the table, I hope they could tell that my bottle was obviously very different?? Now Im out like 11$. Dude. Im not coming back lol, too awkward. Feel kinna bad to that server tho, if they truly didnt see it, plus I ran back after closing hours. But I hope they didnt just lie to get me out of there

Picked up some lemon grass chicken on rice with a couple spring rolls for lunch. The portion size was great and the taste was great. Definitely worth the trip out to Tsawwassen Mills area. The service was quick as well.

Everything about this place is excellent. Going here with my lil daughter is a perfect night out for dinner. They are so family friendly it puts most other local spots to shame. No shortage of high chairs, extremely mindful to the needs of the kids and parents. Oh oh oh, and the food is absolutely delicious. We re very fortunate to have Simply Pho in my neighborhood.

Best Bahn mi. My favourite Bahn mi shop downtown closed and I haven t been able to find another good one until now. Bun is crispy but not so crispy that it rips the roof off your mouth. Lemongrass chicken is cooked perfectly and no weird bits. Seriously yummy! We make a point of coming every time we come out here. Thank you!

Amazing Pho. I come here at least once in a week and my favourite is No.8 noddle soup on the menu.

I went here after stopping by Tsawassen Mills last week. Good reviews brought me here. I ordered #1 Pho Dac Biet (House Special $13.50 one size) it was big. It came out piping hot and fresh while the soup looked oily. Oily so that my lips felt smooth. It looked like Beef Pho in the chicken broth. I didnt expect to have chicken soup for my Beef Pho. That was surprising. Price was bit expensive for what it was. Food was good not amazing. I can only see it was Beef Pho with mixture of chicken soup. The oil couldve been skimmed out and use some flavours for the Beef Pho. Food couldve been better. I consider this place to be okay it wasnt amazing.

I havent been to Simply Pho for over a year. Previously the food was consistently good. However my very recent experience was the opposite While the service was friendly and fast, my spring rolls were dark and oily (as others have mentioned) and tasted slightly rancid. The lemon grass chicken was not grilled - there were no grill marks- so the skin was oily and soft and the flavor was off. It had a strange almost sweet flavour. Unfortunately I had stomach issues shortly after eatinng only a few bites and throughout the evening. The star is for the service. So disappointing - I wonder if ownership changed?

A tad bit awkward and disappointed. Had experienced different pho from different restaurants. So this may not reflect the same way as others think. Went in and was silently waved at from the other side of the restaurant. Although its a small restaurant. Some energy would be nice. Maybe a greeting? I ordered one of specials. $14. I would expect more than just slightly flavored broth and frozen products. Dont get me wrong its not the frozen products.. its the frost bite taste bleeding into the broth since the broth is so weak. No one asked me how the food was, i left it barely touched and pushed it across the table to make it obvious. The waitress just walked by. The price is fair. But does not equate for quality like you would expect. I went to pay my bill and the waitress looks at my table with a mostly full bowl of pho. Didnt say even a thank you and how the food was. I paid and still gave some tip for the service even though it was extremely poor. To me, the soup is the best part, then everything follows. I hate wasting food, but I couldnt eat it. I only hope this helps them improve.

Ordered vegetarian salad rolls. They only had rice noodles, bits of fried noodles and lettuce. It was supposed to also have taro, sweet potato and pineapple in it. Very disappointing.

Portions are smaller than average Pho places I have been when comparing quantity vs price. Tasted good. Was clean. Would consider revisiting if in the area.

I stumbled upon Simply Phi shortly after it opened, and have been eating here ever since. The owner is wonderful and the staff are attentive enough My food choices are quite simple, so I cant speak to the entire menu but a simple bowl of pho on a cold day cant be beat!

We ordered a well done beef brisket soup, which was delicious. Especially the broth! The basil received was a 2 leaf - 1 leaf was still in good shape and the other leaf was fading off...(I m not sure the real reason for this ) We also had another order - Lemon Grass chicken with rice. The chicken was very oily and my partner did not feel good afterwards. And the vegetables that came with it was not fresh, and it tasted and looked like it was more than a 2 or 3 days old. The lettuce were dry and the color had started to change, carrots were edible, but the sliced cucumbers were turning brown and was un-edible. Overall the experience was okay. The tables were clean, and the social distancing between others in terms of dine in was great. But for the price and the quality of the food, I m not so sure. I would only come back for the soup, but probably not for the other items on the menu. As some of the items may not be fresh. Those vegetables that came with our order, just changed my whole experience.....

Been there a few times now for pickup, to and from the ferry. Everything is always ready, fresh and as ordered. They make great suggestions too, loved the suggestions.

Place is a joke. Went for pickup. they screw up my order.. and expected me to pay 2 dollars more to re order after I paid.. they expect to me to wait another 15 mins. and wouldnt waive 2 dollars for the order they messed up.. joke

A nice clean establishment, with good service. A recent visit left a bad taste in my mouth. The Pho soup base had little or no flavour. I had to check the menu to make sure I did not order chicken soup base because it was that light. I ordered deep fried spring rolls with my meal and they were so dark when they arrived at the table. When I ate them there was the distinct taste of old oil or a dirty fryer. Whereas the soup had no flavour at all, I could not get that oily taste out of my mouth long after leaving the restaurant. I have enjoyed attending this restaurant in the past, there is room for improvement. I hope there will be before my next visit.

The pho was super salty. It was unfortunate. The menu looked promising the vermicelli bowl was thankfully not salty and fresh. But unfortunately my pho broth was so salty that even after adding water to it,it didnt change the salt level by that much.

I had the lemongrass chicken and I was blown away! The price is very reasonable and the portion sizes are huge! The chicken was delicious and juicy. All of our food came very quickly and well nicely prepared. It was also visually appealing. The actual place is very clean and has nice decor around the room. The table and chairs are very comfortable. The place is suitable for all ages and there is enough space to accommodate for wheel chairs or walkers. The waiter was super friendly and very quick for being the only person serving. If it werent so far, Id definitely come here again regularly! Next time Im in the area Im definitely stopping by to eat.

Let me start with i love their Pho!! Which is why this review has atleast two stars and not one. Our experience at this delta joint s service was terrible. I understand this is a fast food joint, i don t expect a 5 star service but i expect some service at the very least. Manager there is busy looking at her screen the entire time and the other employee was in her own world. Neither of where listening, we must have called them 5 times atleast and the lady next to our table got tired of calling them she had to walk to the counter. It wasn t busy there were hardly 3 tables filled and they couldn t even pay attention to them. I lost it when they served our order to the next able... people on the table tried calling them but they didn t pay attention. It sat their for 10 mins, as soon as they realised they took it to the kitchen waited for 5 mins and they got the same plate back. Little did they realize that i could see them. As expected rice were cold coz it sat on the next table for 10 minutes and in the kitchen for 5 mins. They didn t even have the courtesy to hear it up. And its no unsafe to have been serviced like this. Very dissapointed!!!

In the past, the dine-in was good, the pork chops were juicy, and the rice was moderately soft and hard. There was a waitress who was a young Westerner, pretty, and had a lot of tea. I couldnt help but leave a tip in the glass bottle at the reception counter, but 6 October 2020 approx. I bought 2 #2 at 1 oclock. I had pork chop rice for takeout. I was shocked when I opened it when I got home. The pork chop was fried until it was black and charred. I had to use a sharp scissor to cut away the black color. This was the case for 2 lunch boxes and four pork chops, and they were easy to cook. ! ! The white rice is so soft that you can even eat it without your teeth. How do you eat this kind of pork chop rice? ? All down, waste money

Simply Pho is simply some of the best pho you can get around the lower mainland. The staff is quick and friendly no matter how big or small the rush is and keep an eye on every little detail in order for your experience to be amazing. The pho is very clean and fresh tasting which is all you can ask for on a rainy Vancouver day. I personally loved the rice dishes the best but got both because I couldn t make a decision. It s conveniently tucked away at the Outlets where you can go before or after your shopping. Did I mention there was a Menchies next door?

I had the pho here yesterday. Honestly the worst Ive had. Zero flavour. The three stars are because the salad roll and sauce were great, and also my friend had the lemon grass chicken meal was good. But wow, the pho, crazy no flavour!

Delicious Pho and Vietnamese stew. Super friendly, helpful service. Reasonable prices, too! We drive here from Ladner as its head and shoulders above either of the restaurants local to us.

Wow. Blew it out of the water. Portions were big... Better come hungry. Everything is flavorful without being salty. All the meats are grilled to perfection. Highly recommended. If you are hungry and at the mall. Do yourself a favor, skip the food court and come here instead. Way cheaper and real non processed delicious food and great value.

Nice New and Clean restaurant with friendly staff but Im sorry I must disagree with the other reviewers. We thought the food was OK but found it underwhelming in terms of flavor and portion size. Ive read all the other reviews so maybe we just got a stingy cook on a bad night but we did not get a generous portion. I must say we LOVE pho and Vietnamese in general and enjoy it often at a couple regular places we go to in Vancouver and Burnaby so we were looking forward to this new place closer to home. We ordered the Large Pho and Shrimp Salad roll. It was delivered quickly and with a smile - that was good. The salad roll was fresh but could have used some more green leaf salad in it but it was good. The disappointment was with the pho, the namesake of the restaurant. It was the largest bowl Ive ever had a large pho delivered in.... There was lots of broth but this large pho contained less noodle and less beef than any medium Ive ordered anywhere else. Normally my wife and I order a Medium and it is enough fill us and usually bring a salad or spring roll home. Not this time. We ate all of it and came home with room for dessert. So the portion is small even though the quantity of liquid is large. Even the side plate of bean sprouts & basil leaves was a smaller portion than most small orders anywhere else. The broth was nice but it wasnt the slow cooked aromatic wonder a good pho normal is. If youve never had pho or perhaps live in Ladner / Tsawassen and find this a unique addition to the neighborhood, its a nice change of pace and I understand your delight with the place. But if youre looking for an authentic pho, rich in flavor and packed with ingredients to make a meal, this aint it.

We have eaten here 4 times since opening. The first couple of times were very good . We chose to eat there last night . Valentines day. The dishes were visibly dirty. The soup was not the same . The cut of meat wasnt as good. The family that owns it are truly lovely people. The service is always great but with the dishes being dirty and the quality of the meat having changed was upsetting. They have soup spoons at the table and I grabbed one and it was covered in grease. Im sorry folks but I dont think we will be going back.

My new favourite in Tsawwassen. Great service, and friendly staff. I think most staff are family so thats always a nice touch for any business, but especially restaurants in my opinion. They care about everything, and do there best to make you happy, always. Has a very pleasant, clean atmosphere as well. The soup is awesome. And very sizeable portions. * the Pho Tai is all I ever have so I cant comment on any of the other dishes. I go for the soup. Enjoy !

Very good! Fast service and good food. What more could you ask for? I got the lemongrass chicken and the chicken was tender, had crispy skin and just the right amount of charring. Their milk tea has its own flavour, not too sweet, not too strong, just right. 10/10 would eat there again.

My son and I had Pho. This was good. I especially appreciated that the broth was nice and hot (temperature wise) and flavourful. This restaurant is new and is nicely decorated and it was clean. Well. They forgot my spring rolls in my take out. its a small thing but its just frustrating when it happens, and especially annoying when you are hungry. (and I live far from this place.) it was my first visit, not a cool first time.

Decent pho. Didnt have cilantro which felt wrong and broth was a little bland. Not as good as other places north of the tunnel. Fried rolls were really good.

Great place for pho and the springs rolls were very tasty.

Pho is consistently good. Arrive 30 minutes before close to get in your order before closing!

The best lemongrass chicken I ve had so far. Honestly, i would drive back here again even if it takes me 45 min to get here. Portion is super big chicken was roasted well enough and still juicy and the store is super clean and well lit . Waitress is very friendly and efficient despite being alone on the floor, food came super fast. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back again !

Probably the best Vietnamese food Ive had since moving to BC. The salad rolls were great, and the meat in the pho was really good!

Such good food and I m Vietnamese too. I know quality Viet food when I come across one. Super friendly service and SO CLEAN. I never write reviews but this was a must.

Good food at a good price. Love this place for lunch! Staff are super friendly and will help out the pho novices out there to order something that they will like.
