305 Long Ln, Uxbridge UB10 9JY, United Kingdom
Established in 1975 We have over 30 years experience in providing our customer with the best service and best food possible. We cater for birthday, wedding, company parties and special occasions. Pangs is situated in Hillingdon Circus Parade (A437) just off the A40. Two minute walk from Hillingdon Underground Station. We are open 6 days a week (Tuesday to Sunday)
Ordered pangs last night via uber eats around 7ish and by 1130 I had stomach cramps and was on the toilet. After I decided to check what the hygiene rating was for this restaurant and turns out to be a 1 which is needs major improvements. The food was nice I have no complaints with that.
We dined in with our young son and ordered off their set menu £20pp and chose options. We were told there was no children’s menu so thought if we ordered extra bits for our child it should be enough. The main meal arrived on one plate - a small portion and not great quality compared to takeaways we purchased say a year or so ago. If we had seen the rest of the menu on the back page we would have ordered individual portions of food. Starters were old and not fresh - clearly reheated and quality was poor. We had to get a portion of chips from across the road on the way home for my son to actually eat dinner. Service was stroppy and everything we asked for was an extra charge with attitude - we were very unhappy with the food at £70 bill. We opted not to pay the service charge as it was all shocking and unhelpful. Wine served was a cheap Hardys bottle of Shiraz - apple juice was not fresh either, just concentrate cheap stuff. Really sad experience and a waste of money.
Extremely disappointed! Ordered a portion of Spare Ribs, upon opening the box I saw there were only 3. I thought this must be some kind of mistake, so I called them. Only to be told that, that's the portion. For £8, I'm not gonna lie I felt ripped off. Certainly won't be ordering from here again.
Over done beef with bok choy the egg fried rice had hardly any egg and tasted of potpourri or incense so did the prawn crackers the veg chow mein was greasy with limp veg nothing tasted fresh everything tasted overcooked and of strange incense. Over priced and mediocre
Popped in here for our last meal in London. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Unfortunately we were the only diners and this did nothing for the atmosphere. An enjoyable evening meal with nice cold drinks. Would visit again!
Ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was super delicious 😋 delivery was fast. I’m looking forward to order again. Thank you
Best Chinese of my life, went in a couple weeks back after a long day at chessington. Booked on the phone really easily and were seated in no time after we arrived. We had seen the set menu online and had decided it would be the best deal and with eat out to help out there was really no question. We ordered. The starters came with in five minutes as well as drinks. I was beyond impressed with the starter. The flavours and cooking was impeccable. But we haven’t got to the mains yet. The mains came. Each main on the set menu comes with two Chinese dishes and a generous scoop of rice or noodles. This was plenty for me. Chopsticks were available if your a bit more adventurous like me, or you can is the fork and spoon given. This meal was the best Chinese I have ever had, the meat was cooked perfectly and the noodles were fried to perfection. After that we got a scoop of ice cream to wash it down with your choice of sauce. You can also order extras like duck or crackers with the set menu but just the three courses on their own is plenty. I will definitely be going again when we next have a visit to London.
Great food, Great service. Well maintained and hygienic restaurant. Well cleaned and social distanced seating. The staff attitude is great. They are courteous and helpful. We ordered pork rib, soup, noodles and Sizzlers. All were great and reflected authentic Chinese taste. Overall had a happy experience.
Good food, good prices.
Next to Co-op in Long Lane there was a Chinese takeaway called the Dragon Inn. It was far better than Pangs and it was our go to choice for a Chinese, but then tragically the DI closed their kitchen for good, leaving their customers with the choice of finding a local takeaway as good as the DI or crossing Long Lane to Pangs. After trying practically every Chinese in the locality, we came back to Pangs, because to be honest, their food isn t that bad. Slightly different from the DI, but we eventually got used to the changes. However, after a while we realised that the prices had been gradually going up and up, leaving us with an uncomfortable debit card bill for a very average meal. We no longer use Chinese takeaways when we fancy one. Instead, well get a Supermarket Chinese meal, thus saving us a few quid. Not so much choice, but we re over it.
This was excellent when it was a Buffet and always very busy at weekends. I revisited recently and the restaurant was almost empty. If the business wants to survive they should go back to being a Buffet.
Really quick delivery. Reasonably priced. Great tasting food. Thanks!!
Good takeaway meal, tasty and reasonably priced.
the quality of food was very very bad ,so dosapoonted with food ,also not value for money .Will not recomend to any one
Got a takeaway from here. Double the price, half the portion size compared to anywhere else locally. Chicken balls mostly batter and soggy, wings were brown inside. And both my partner and I have been ill since eating.
Amazing food fast delivery
I don t mind paying more for something when it is good, however half the size and twice the price and there was an awful after taste, I had better not be sick tomorrow! Never again PANGS you have let yourselves and your customers down .
Waited an age to get served. Got my order wrong, but the food was very tasty.
This restaurant is far too underrated. When we went here a few years ago, there was a lunchtime buffet of only £5-10, and you could have unlimited refills. There were nice chilled drinks, and the atmosphere was always quite and peaceful due to few diners. The ice cream was nice too.
Had a lovely meal here. Food was excellent and plentiful - had to take some home, and the service was friendly and helpful. We were quite early and it was getting busier as we left. Highly recommended, we will go again
Can t go wrong with pangs. Well priced and an amazing selection. All the salt and paper items are 10/10
Singaporean fried noodles and spring rolls
Lie: It is not a buffet and it is 45 quid for 2 persons. Just FYI.
Good Chinese takeout but quite expensive
We just ordered egg fried rice & special fried rice, sweet & sour chicken balls & hong kong style, & beef in black bean source. The lady was very polite on the phone & very friendly when collected. The portions were generous & really tasty. The beef wasnt chewy like our local is. Very nice indeed.
Food was awful and owner puts leftovers in your meals. Terrible customer service
Decor is shabby with dirty carpets. Food not good and very overpriced. We mentioned that crispy duck was reheated and overcooked. Waiter didnt even respond. Oil needs changeing as food was dark as if cooked in old oil. Wouldnt go back and didnt leave a tip.
Honestly some of the nicest Chinese food we ve had in such a long time! Ordered delivery so can t speak to atmosphere, but wow - chicken, prawns, veg, rice, spring rolls, all their chow mein - just beautiful. And we re difficult to satisfy! Thank you
A long time since last visit.Good food and service, shame about the ambience.
Not what it used to be
Enjoyable evening with friends. Able to catered for a large group. Great service, food and atmosphere.
All good
Didnt notice there was no longer a buffet here until I got here. Needs to be clearer on this. Didnt even go in
Vegetarian options: In the vegetarian noodles it was oily and they had salt which wasnt mixed. No one in the family liked the noodles and we will not be ordering next time from here. Please don t order from here. Food
Average, the egg fried rice was clumpy and had a strange taste to it compared to all others that I have tried. The beef chow was poor and very greasy, the chips were very dry. The sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was nice but the sauce was too thick and gloopy. The salt and chilli chicken was OK. We wont be going back anytime soon
If I could give no stars I would . Used to go here 5 years ago when the buffet was open it was really nice . Now it s all ala-carte , the food was disgusting didn t even get past the starters to the mains . We ll never go back here again
Chow mein is ok, but the buffet is not that great with not alot of options that I would like cheap dishes for the price
0 stars to this place. We ordered through Deliveroo, spent £50 for 2ppl and all the food went straight to the bin. Absolute TRASH DISGUSTING food . Honestly it look like they served us with the leftovers. The food was off, old, dry, with shameful presentation, all the food was dumped. I don t think this place is safe to eat. They didn t do anything about it. AVOID ALL COSTS.
No frills dining experience yet welcoming and great food.
Good food and reasonable prices NOT a buffet as advertised on google
Original pangs was fantastic.visited here valentines evening.was a set menu but no choice for vegetarian. Normal service apparently from a normal menu.we walked out. There wasnt a single other customer there at 7.30pm. Do not go here. It use to be buffet.
Mixed reviews for pangs overall customizing the meal i hope makes it alot fresher as not keen on the buffet but for the meals i have had they have been good some improvements could be made but overall i would give them a go.
I enjoyed lunch with my parents here.
Really enjoyed the takeaway. Tasty, hot and I was stuffed
not good at all.
Food was excellent but I miss the buffet
Great food!
Very very bad in quality. I ve ordered a hot and sours soup. It s completely sauce inside and the meat was expired, smell and taste nasty and completely out of respect for the customers. Please avoid this Resturent. Waste for the money
I so, so wanted to find a great chinese restaurant and the reviews sounded great - The mushrooms in the chowmein were burned to char, the orange juice was bizarrely fizzy, the pineapple in the tofu in satay was seriously off I mentioned this to the staff but they did not care. Two stars is generous.
Ordered from here for dinner and this was possibly the best meal of my life. 10/10
My graduation dinner was amazing and service was fast and accurate!
Food was utterly disgusting there was so much salt in the food like someone had dropped a whole load of salt. The sweet and sour chicken balls was absolutely disgusting didn t even taste like chicken. I would never recommend eating here.
Nice food. But expensive. No longer a buffet restaurant. Parking: Parking is limited
This has to be the worst takeaway I ve ever ordered. Chicken balls were close to burnt and chicken was raw inside. As for the pancake roll and chilli wings they were disgusting. I was shocked to the fact a company could deliver what looked like scraps to a paying customer. As a result, I was forced to throw the entirety of a £50 meal in the bin as I didn t want to take the risk of getting food poisoning. Definitely won t be ordering again. 1 star is too generous
Reasonable priced. Good quality food. Could do with bigger portions. Singapore style noodles very nice
Absolutely disgusting fish was tasteless vegetables were raw noodle were bland special fried prawn rice was hard as rock.. Totally waste of money all went in the bin avoid this restaurant unless you have money to waste... Better off buying macdonald...
We order Singapore noodles and Singapore fried rice but quality of food not up to standard , we came here looking into reviews , totally disappointed
Had a lovely meal last night, the staff couldnt do more for you and were really friendly. I wide choice of food that once ordered cam out quickly and tasted amazing.
I have gotten Pangs twice now and I write this review as I am eating Chow Mein, House special curry, salt and chilli chips and egg fried rice. This place is phenomenal they are generous with their portions, the curry had HUGE pieces of beef chicken and pork in it, and plenty to spare. The salt and pepper chips are literally the best you will EVER find. The chow mein is so delicious I feel like I could marry it. This is my goto place for Oriental cuisine from now on, perfect pricing for perfect food. THANK YOU PANGS
bad shop don t go
This is my first Chinese in years forgot what I was missing it was amazing so nice enjoyed it very much thank you will be ordering again soon
Excellent food and service as always! Thank you
Yum,yum, YumYum
Its was abit oily and staff seemed to busy to help over priced had to pay for a tiny little bit of curry sauce
No buffet anymore ... prices very expensive but nice food...shame not the same.
Very good reststaurant good food and helpful staff best in the area
Liked it better as self service buffet,
Had a meal for a birthday, they allowed us to bring a cake in and lit it and sang happy birthday, there is no buffet anymore, but portion sizes are okay
Confused as to why the won ton soup came with iceberg leaves instead of pakchoi/scallions
Very good customer service, tasty food
It was ok but, not memorable.
Was a lovely meal Very reasonable priced Staff was very good
Genera y they have good food Im just got furious today as sweet and sour chicken Honkong Style was wiwout chicken!!!! 2 box full of battery and veg. Sweet banana balls was delicious but ....
Amazing restaurant!
Outstanding food and service. I come here lots of times. This is my favourite restaurant. You can refill your plate as many times you want. This chinese food is delicious and some of the best foods I have ever tasted! I totally recommend this restaurant. Its FANTASTIC!
Up there with some of the best Chinese food weve ever tasted. Excellent service too, thank you!
Bought a chicken dish. Got home. Which i found bone in my food. Rang up. There made me drive back to the shop which is a 10 min drive just to give a refund of 4.00. Waste of time. No customer service skills.
Amazing food, staff and service as always
Very bland food, not the best Ive been to.
Where friends and clear good neighbours good food
Great meal
Food was horrible and less options. Couldnt touch chicken it was old and hard. I would never go again.
Great food and always great service.
One of the best restaurants out there. 100% proper nice and well cooked and seasoned food. Customer & table service was 100%. Literally one of the best Chinese restaurants places I ve been to out of London Will recommend over and over again
I was looking for a restaurant to eat after being turned down by Nandos & harvester (who stated I needed to book prior to eat inside). So my partner managed to find this restaurant online. Initially I was Sceptical about dining here because I m really picky, but I m grateful that I did. The customer service is 100% and the food is worth it. I would highly recommend.
Food was good
Apart from the new waitress that attended to us (she was sooo nice), everything apart from that was downhill. 1) food was disgusting. Satay was over fried and dry (it s meant to be grilled not deep fried). 2) from starters to main took 1hr to arrive. 3) terrible service. I had to ask for the sweet and sour sauce that was supposed to be with my meal (sweet and sour chicken) 4) my satay STARTER came after my mains. It s supposed to be a starter. 5) my prawn dish didn t have the intestinal track removed. Disgusting. We left majority of the food and the new waitress felt bad for us. Bless her, honestly. For the restaurant owners, please sort your service and food out.
Loved the food and the staff were super friendly I will definitely be returning:)
Currently not operating as a buffet
Excellent food and service.
Very good! Not bad if you dont want to cook and want something chinese. There are a few things they make better than others, e.g , king prawns in bean sauce. That was just delicious.
Great food, great atmosphere, really good value for money, and great staff
Best Chinese around , takeaway the best and have eaten in and service is great nothing is ever to much trouble , my children say the salt chicken wings are amazing !
Loved it. Fantastic food and just the best Owner and staff. Will be back as soon as lockdown (part 2) is over.
A regular place for our Chinese. Good food at a decent price. Staff are really friendly. Cheers .
Food was cooked fresh as we arrived early and the service was fast and friendly.
Excellent Chinese buffet, food was great, staff friendly and nice atmosphere.
Good for a quick meal. Family friendly.
Didnt like the standard of food
Good buffet selection, food very nice....beware of the hot serving spoons though!
Very good food
Its good service and food, but prawns ,muscles, squids, fish was missing of the buffet and only banana balls and ice cream for afters so not much variety.
Pangs is a great place to eat. Good value very clean and service is excellent t
The food was fresh, the staff pleasant and attentive, the vibe was good and the price wasnt extortionate.
Was nice and friendly food was good would visit again
IF YOURE CONSIDERING GOING FOR OTHER THAN BUFFET PLEASE CLICK THE BACK ARROW. THIS PLACE ISNT THAT GOOD LIKE REVIEWS SAY I went today for lunch expecting a buffet but there is no longer buffet at lunch. Set menu has limited and not very appealing choices and things on the menu are not of a very good quality. I ordered crispy chili beef and its was literally fried flour with no beef. The baked squid is clearly frozen and is like something youd buy at Costco.I also ordered a chicken curry to find it being rather oily and chicken being squidgy? Bad staff as well as I had to get up and ask for plates to be cleared. It tastes alright but better off going elsewhere. However, i have not tried the buffet but based on my experience im not going to.
Good food
Awesome experien e. Go as many times you wish for food refill.
Good food, reasonable value for money
Poor quality food, good value
Pangs was great the food was great and the service was great
Fantastic local place with excellent staff and great food.
Dropped in on chance, table for 4, where able to accommodate us. Nice and clean, very good Chinese buffet restaurant, service with a smile. Would recomend a visit
Delicious all-you-can-eat buffet and nice staff
Nice and reasonably priced.
buffet closed and we were asked to order from the menu at higher prices.
.Never been there before.Invited by a friend there.Buffet eat as much as you want type of menu.service good.coffee just like ordinary instant nothing special.food ok.
Tasty food and plenty of it. Crispy duck was very good . Nice and attentive staff.
Good Chinese buffet. I would like to see more vegetarian main dishes
Old favourite
Service not good. Selection of food is very poor
Excellent food and great service
Very poor quality food
Lovely friendly staff and great food - fresh and tasty - good atmosphere
Very easygoing and relaxed atmosphere as you enter and staff gove a nice welcomed smile, service is very nice and friendly, quite popular with a good reputation upheld. The food area is clean and tidy, cooked well and attended regularly. Menu selection is quite plentiful so the palate has a brim to the full range. A very nice cheap and easy meal to over-indulge with for a local place.
Yeet
Met up with friends for a meal to celebrate my birthday , pangs has a good choice of food , so there s something that everyone will like !! The ribs are especially tasty ! Not to crowded on a week day , and there s no pressure to rush ! The buffet is great , all self service , and eat as much as you like . A choice of soups , main courses and also toffee banana and ice cream for desert !!! A perfect evening was had by all .
Too expensive
Best Chinese weve had in a long time! We will be back
the choice seems to of shrunk but you can eat as much as you can
Friendly staff and lovely food. We go often!
Food quality was nice and reasonable price and space, but theres not many options to choose from buffet wise
Good food
Variety of foods, not bad
Great tasting food, with an authentic Chinese taste. Friendly staff and very fresh ingredients. Won tun soup was only vegetarian, and restaurant decor is very simple.
As soon as you enter dont be excited as the decor makes you feel like you are in the most oldest and gloomiest chinese buffet in town. The windows were wet from condensation and it was so muggy. So the Pangs on yeading lane offers you prawns, but you have to compromise a little as they dont bother cleaning them before cooking. And at this branch you have to order them seperatley! (Not included in buffet) I mean come on we paid £11.95 each! Food was cold and stale. Had to ask for fresh broccoli and was given it piping hot and still hard. The food did not look appetising at all and tasted the same. Made a pancake but it was ruined because of the stale taste of the pancake which was not soft but hard. Moved onto the noodles which were bland and tasteless. As for dessert, toffee apple which was so stale! The worst was that both staff members kept on staring at us whilst we were eating it. The toffee tasted stale. The ice cream the same. The apple inside was just mushy and again stale. There is nothing FRESH about this place. Also the staff member decided to clear up the water bowls from all the tables while we were still eating. Like really? He was holding a paint bucket and going around spilling the water into this bucket. It was just unprofessional and should have been done AFTER we left. To TOP it all off I nearly fell to my death going to the bathroom. The floor was so slippery and I heard a few people lose balance going in. Manager followed me and ushered me into another bathroom. He was walking on the floor fine but that was because he was wearing some type of army boots! It gets worse. The toilets are so disgusting, filthy and outdated. I will do some more reaserch on hygeine facilities here. I could not even go to the toilet because there was so much mess on the floor. Would not reccomend.
Pangs is the friendliest and most comfortable buffet i have been to. You are not too hot, not harassed by staff while you eat. The food is delicious, my favourite part is the duck as its so tender!
ok place to go
Excellent buffet. Set price all you can eat
Great food, reasonable prices. Always fresh cooked
Great value, delicious food, super friendly staff! I visit regularly and never leave unsatisfied (or hungry!)
Value for money,polite staff
Dearly. Self-service is cheaper. The waiter adds a service fee to the bill.
Ive been to this restaurant many times with my family and we always enjoy the food here. The buffet selection is decent and the popular dishes you would expect in a Chinese restaurant are always available, fresh, hot and regularly topped up. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. We also bookek a large table recently to celebrate my daughters birthday party - she and her friends were happy with the food and had a great time.
Lovely
All you can eat.
Very tasty Chinese.
Love the selection of food for lunch
Never again What abwastebof money good taste awful and stale
Amazing food
Food not so good
Nice food, good value until you start ordering alcohol.
Locate on a busy road which always suffer from heavy traffic. Food average, price for what the food choice offer is rather expensive, service average, ambience non existence - no music, none of nothing so people tend to stare at each other. This restaurant could do a face lift with bringing the dining hall separate from the tables, and make the place brighter and put some interesting features like digital screen for music, water fountain, anything can liven the place. Food-wise could offer prawn dish on.the buffet without charging extra as the current food choice is indeed too expensive, therefore charging extra for prawn dishes make it even more expensive.
Great service great food
Nice resturant. Friendly service. Buffet food, hot and fresh. Good value for money. Great for large groups. Resturant has ample parking outside and in close to Hillingdon station, metropolitan and piccadilly lines.
Great food and Service!
Lovely food and service always hot food shame about the punters that eat there.
Reasonably priced, selection is a bit limited compared to other Chinese all-you-can-eat places, but you get what you pay for!
Nice and friendly atmosphere. Good food.
Food looked drab and stale, and was not very tasty. Restaurant needs brightening up. Have visited several times and standard seems to have fallen each time. Dont think I will eat there again......
Nice food setting is very basic
All you can eat with too limited buffet.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening we had here, would recommend !
good buffet food at a reasonable price.
Good was good but customer service was a little dry and prices are different to what is written
Wouldnt go their, hard to park, to many spice in food to hot Im not going again
Pangs is pangs
Aromatic duck is always a great shout in Pangs. All you can eat buffet.
Our family has been coming here for years to eat in or takeaway. The food is always fresh and clean tasting with great flavour. It is not greasy and so nice and healthy. The stir fry veg are fresh and a nice crunch. My favourite is the house curry and the duck pancakes. Crispy chilli beef is amazing. The staff are always friendly and the other day I went in and ordered and then waited in my car as had my dog in the car. It was raining hard and the waiter came out to the car to give me my order. So nice and accommodating. 10/10 from us.
