Had my work Christmas party here, The food, atmosphere and venue was all just amazing. The service was excellent from all the staff especially Georgia. She went above and beyond to ensure we were all taken care of and had the right meals which we ordered. It was such a fun night. I will definitely be back!
What a wonderful restaurant & bar. It’s set in a wonderful location by the canal surrounded by the accommodation. The quality of food & service is top class & all the staff were extremely professional & courteous. The atmosphere was brilliant when I visited & would definitely recommend booking here for a Christmas or works function. I stayed in one of the well appointed cabin rooms. They had left a welcome pack of breakfast cereal & croissants. The mini bar had milk & water. It also had tea & coffee making facilities, as well as a large tv. The bathroom had heated flooring & fresh towels. They had an electric shower that was very hot & powerful. Shower & hair gel is also available from a dispenser. I can’t fault anything… don’t t think twice about booking either a meal, accommodation or both.
Popped in for lunch with a friend, we both had the chicken and noodles served on a sizzling hot plate, food was amazing and so filling. Natalie and Christine served us they were both so friendly - Will definitely be going back very soon. The menu is vast and has something for everyone from meat eaters and vegans/vegetarians alike.
Good place to stay 15min drive from Heathrow. Immaculately clean, no frills accommodation in a courtyard chalet room. Had lunch & dinner here & a walk along the canal. Quieter than a Heathrow hotel & a window into real london/UK people/life.
I photographed a wedding here yesterday, and I must say, the staff, the food, the drink, and the rooms were all absolutely outstanding. The place is beautiful. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are snug, but modern, clean, and just lovely. Overall, an exceptional place and an exceptional team.
Perfect location for my dear father’s celebration of life last month. The restaurant is such a pretty bright area with lots of fairy lights and the food was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for Natalie and Christine. They couldn’t do enough to help me on such an important , difficult day. The atmosphere was uplifting and everyone commented that it was a lovely afternoon despite the sad circumstances . Thank you so much ☺️
We loved our short one night stay at Canal Cottages. We stayed in the Canal Suite which was beautiful. Not noisy at all. Had an air conditioning unit that we used to keep us cool. Beautiful bathroom. Loved the breakfast. My only complaint is that we only stayed one night and didn’t get to truly appreciate the property. Hoping to get back for another stay next time we’re in the area. Five stars all the way!
Hello just wanted to leave a review about this wonderful lovely pub! I had my wedding here recently and Christine and every single one of the staff were absolutely amazing, they go above and beyond to make sure your whole experience goes perfectly, the whole day and evening went so well and the food was also absolutely amazing for the day guests as well as my evening guests! Everyone of my family and friends enjoyed it immensely!! Definitely recommend for anyone who is getting married or just want a few days away for a break. Thank you all so much. 🙌🙌🙌
Recently went to this restaurant with a large group for our annual Christmas meal. The food and service were excellent considering they were catering for such a large group my compliments to the chef. The entertainment was good and created a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely book for next year and I will probably book for one of my other groups too. Well done Watersedge.
Fantastic place and food and the staff are brilliant
Recently attended a christmas party , was a very lovely venue and the entertainment was very good too , service was brilliant , the dinner was very nice too , but very dispointed that there wasnt a dance floor to have a dance on , you had to try and dance around the tables which was very awkward .
Stayed for 1 night Not too far from Heathrow airport Nice little cosy rooms Rooms : 5/5
Amazing. Just unreal. Order the duck bao and thank me later!
Great little room .very comfy beds. Bedding good quality. Fridge with bottled water and fresh milk, cereals, croissants, jam also in the room The only let down was the floor needs deep cleaning in the quad room. Food and drinks: Absolutely fantastic food. Best breakfast I ve had, I d travel to get another. Great bacon, good flavoursome sausages. Fillet steak the night before melted in my mouth.
We had a lovely meal here, there was 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals, even though there was a noisy 60th birthday party going on with about 25 women it didnt spoil our enjoyment the food was sublime
Favourite restaurant around. Always had a great meal here! Lovely setting and well priced. Menu has something for everyone. Must visit
We had Sunday lunch
Such a cute place
It is in a very quiet position....however, it is miles from any attractions and public transport. They have their preferred taxi company, who only take cash....which they didnt tell me till I got to Heathrow . Staff are wonderful, restaurant food was hot and tasty Rooms
Was a great place to stay overnight for an early pick up from Heathrow and super added bonus of being welcoming to dogs . Food great in evening and ate at table outside our actual room by canal. Some areas could do with a clear up of junk to tidy up a bit but overall excellent.
Lovely venue. Clean and tidy.
Lovely pub with a nice atmosphere, plenty of free parking outside. A very good location to share a pint with your friends and definitely very popular among the locals as there was barely a place for an apple to fall. Cons - my friend and I had mussels for £16 per portion and unfortunately both had a bad stomach afterwards. The mussels were overcooked and quite a few (8 in my plate and 7 in my friend s plate) didn t open (which means they went bad and should not have been served). Quite a frustration for a meal worth £16. If you can t serve fresh, don t serve them at all. Also the music outside (in the garden area) was very loud so we had to shout instead of talking, and ended up leaving early.
Delicious, tasty food with a wide selection to cater for all tastes. I ve been there a few times and it has never failed on food and service.
Brilliant place. Visited a few times and will do so again!
Not lives up to expectations.
I recently visited Watersedge and overall had a pleasant experience. The pub boasts a fantastic view, which adds a great atmosphere to the place and makes it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a drink. However, I did notice that some of the tables were a bit messy and seemed like they hadn t been cleaned promptly. It didn t ruin the experience, but a bit more attention to cleanliness would make this place even better.
Food and drinks: Good food and a decent price
An amazing meal
Lovely pub! Worst music I ve ever heard at a pub tho ruined the vibe and made us want to leave early
Amazing food and great value for money £25 for 3 courses for the Sunday menu. Every dish was amazing especially the pate starter. Every staff member was friendly, efficient and kind. Would recommend and will be coming back
Very spatan. Musty rooms. Chic by the canal. But there it was. Breakfast was shrink-wrapped croissants and muesli.
Great location friendly staff, lovely rooms. Food in the restaurant was plentiful, well served .
With a large car park and nestling beside the Grand Union canal with its waterside footpath, this delightful restaurant features a beautifully decorated interior with small lights which creates a comfortable and almost romantic atmosphere. Afternoon tea was taken with freshly-prepared food that was well-presented, plentiful and tasty for a very reasonable price. With several smart and informally-uniformed staff, attention to, and connection with, customers was excellent: warm, friendly, genuine, nothing appeared too much trouble. A real treat!
A corner of relax and peace
Fab place and staff
Lovely place to stay and eat. Garden is terrific! Rooms
Lovely location totally let down by atmosphere. Overly loud radio blaring outside on the weekend. Returned here on a weekday - a loud live music act started up inside in addition to the muzak being pumped outside. Asked staff if they could turn outside music off while live act was going, otherwise there was just too much noise. They turned unpleasant and said they could turn the music down but not off. When I asked why, they said because of the patrons outdoors - we were basically the only ones sitting there. I left without eating my food. Horrid place with rude, insensitive staff. Only go if you want to dine with an unholy racket going on. Will not return.
Superb little spot hidden away in West Drayton along a Grand Union canal. Lots of tables outside and inside. Food was good standard and lots of varied drinks available. Will definitely be returning soon. Has good parking and I believe it s dog friendly.
Had a lovely time booked a table for 11 people. The staff was amazing, and we had a gluten-free person and a vegetarian. Thank you to the staff last night
The room is large, has a bathtub, refrigerator, and the boss prepares breakfast in the room. Overall, it is very good. It s just that there are activities at night, and the music is played until very late, which is quite noisy.
Fantastic lunch before sons graduation, best place in this area
Nice view, free parking. Just bit messy outside the sitting area. Looked like no one really is looking after it.
Very bad service.
Its a pub by the canal its good, but it needs redesigning tiered
Stopped for lunch while on our walk on the canal. Had the Tower Burger, it cane with chips. The burger itself is delicious, excellent quality meat and bacon. The chips and ketchup are a let down. The chips jnky taste of oil and not a pelasant flavour. The ketchup available is low quality, it has only 30% tomato and it mostly tastes to acid and spices, not tomato.
We walked from Apsley to Camden Lock and stayed her overnight in a clamshell tiny house. The ambience of staying on the water was just what I planned . I want to do it again !
Came here for Sunday lunch and food was good, good choice on the menu and restaurant was clean. Service unfortunately was not up to par, there were only a few other tables in and ordering our starter and main took a little longer than expected considering this. After we d had our main we asked for the dessert menu. We must have been forgotten about as the young girl serving us never came to take our order for fifteen minutes. In the end we decided to just pay for our bill at the bar and leave. Very disappointed as would have been a regular place for us had the experience been better.
wonderful canalside pub, beautiful day to sit outside with a long, cold one and some cheesy chips, fantastic visit. we will definitely be back. A=
Great food and staff
Wonderful night last night tribute act at the waters edge fantastic service great food
Canal Cottages: 5 stars ~ Watersedge: 3 stars Cottages: Absolutely adorable place to stay. Such a lovely spot on the canal. Really enjoyed sitting outside and watching the ducks, swans, etc. Cottage was super cute and clean. Comfy and cozy. Would absolutely stay here again! We were upset we were only here for one night. Service was exceptional. Very kind and friendly people. Watersedge: The food is okay. Just too expensive for average food. Would rate it higher if the cost was reflective of quality. Enjoyed sitting in the little domes next to the canal to eat and it was nice to eat at the same place we were staying. However, next time I would skip eating here and just enjoy staying here.
Food was very good worth every penny will definitely go back
Visited the restaurant, delicious food, great service. Will definitely come back
Very nice
Fab food
Saw the rooms and they were fine. Hospitality was fantastic and food was great.
I went here for a friends wedding and it was amazing. They did everything they could to make it a brilliant day. Id recommend them for an event but also it looks lovely for a pint by the river in the summer.
Loved our stay. Had the suite right on the water Food was great value and so tasty Rooms
Had breakfast there. Great tastes good choice. Just need some hot chocolate drinks.....to be complete. Defo would eat here again
Tasty food, nice view outside
Nice quiet location, cottages compact and lovely but housekeeping needs to work on cleaning better. Visible dust, floors.were dirty wifi non existent and the TV was old and so slow it was practically useless having it there. Staff at reception and the restaurant were lovely. Rooms
A lovely beer garden backing onto the canal. Very picturesque. The bar staff were welcoming and friendly. Some of the beer garden fenced at the moment due to a refurbishment.
Lovely little place for food nice food went for a Sunday dinner here and it was lovely was nice to sit out and look on to the canal as well as it was a sunny day. Nice little place to relax after walking down the canal as well either for food/drinks stay the night it was nice place would definitely go again if i was in the area Walkability: In-between Uxbridge and west Drayton down the canal Food and drinks: Drinks and food is really nice in this place I actually liked it
Wonderful meal with friends. Lovely staff. Will definitely go back. Food and drinks: The food was SO good - lovely dinner Rooms : 5/5 |
Did not stay here but had an amazing lunch. Had the fish and chips which were divine!
Had a lovely Sunday lunch
*Updated* went back for a lovely birthday lunch. Decor and atmosphere inside is beautiful. Had a bottle of Chardonnay, Halloumi for starter, followed by mussels and an Irish Coffee. Partner had same starter, cod and chips and Italian coffee. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and professional. Nice and clean. Lovely ____________________ Nice Christmas lunch. Food delicious .
Have visited the restaurant twice now within the last 2 weeks, absolutely love the food. You definitely get your monies worth. Staff are great, friendly, and happy to help.
My wife and I took her mum here for Mothers Day afternoon tea with a singer doing a tribute to rat pack music. We had a great time with everyone one joining in . Service was fantastic with friendly, helpful staff and the food was excellent Food and drinks: Food is fantastic
Very friendly staff and was quiet when we went. The food was pretty good too.
We came here for a 60th birthday celebration . Lovely private room upstairs, staff really friendly and buffet food was plentiful and delicious . Thank you.
We have just had our baby shower at the Watersedge today. Fab service and lovely venue by the canal. Service was not rushed and staff were on hand if needed. Food was delish , we had the afternoon tea. Really happy with the venue and service . Thank you
Lovely place food definitely yummy staff polite service was quick lovely valentines night atmosphere
Hidden gem of a pub - never had a bad meal here and the service is always great. Location is perfect for a summer beer overlooking the canal.
2nd visit here. Leanne and her staff provide a cost effective accommodation and service. From good quality accomodation ,for menu, bar entertainment and an all round welcoming service. We visited again this year Christmas 23 and highly reccommend Waters Edge which is on the canal and has eas of of access to the road, train and bus network. #just fab love it here. Thanks Leanne and the team. Mike & Linda x
Lovely food excellent service
It s the only pub that s open near me with the outdoor only lockdown restrictions. I m giving the stars for the service as the girls were running around making sure everyone was looked after and they were doing a great job! But the food?!? Stay away! Only go here for drinks. Everything is frozen and tasteless and just not worth the ££. I ve been to this pub a few times to give it another chance and another chance, so I m not making my review based on one experience. Food is just not a priority for this venue.
Super place to stay very friendly staff amazing stay thankyou once again see you soon
I stayed and ate evening meal here. I was impressed with the service, the room, and the general location. I was greeted at reception (the bar) with a friendly smile, guided all the way to my room, which overlooked the canal, the room was compact but met my requirements completely, the bed was comfy, the pillows were a little firm for my liking but I coped. The food was superb, both the prawns (starter) and lamb (main) were hot and delicious. I was here because of work but if I needed to stay local to here again, I would, without hesitation, choose Watersedge. Parking: Large parking area
Cozy, Unique vibe for staying and nice service
Spent New Years eve here and we really enjoyed the food and overall atmosphere. Great restaurant and beautiful views of the river.
Location cottages which bears its name aptly not too far from Heathrow £38 to get there or go there by taxi, very pleasant staff, food very good value for money the cooking is very good the continental breakfast is served in the room and placed on the table and very good I would have appreciated cocoa chocolate powder for the children, the bedding is of good quality I have moved on and would return there this place is calm is appreciable unlike London city where there are a lot of people Kid-friendliness: The childrens menu is very good
We have celebrated Xmas for the last 2 years at The Watersedge by having a meal and watching a show, 1st year was Celine Dion Tribute and last year was Whitney Houston tribute. On both occasions, the food was superb, entertainment fantastic and atmosphere brilliant .... Looking forward to this year
We had a family birthday meal here at the weekend. The Food was excellent and the service was really good. We had space and it was a very relaxed atmosphere I m really happy we booked this restaurant.
Lovely venue for birthday party, good was lovely would highly recommend
Perfect please for quick beer in quiet place, romantic dinner or Weeding!! Amazing food, fair prices. Highly recommended
The service and food was delicious staff were very helpful
Fine if youre eating here but not if you just fancy a beer. Cold seating area and only 3 tables for drinkers. No pub atmosphere. Pity cos great location
Tbh the food is good the atmosphere is good no problem there the only issue is the the older gentleman with white hair that served us Im guessing he owns the place as anyone would have fired him by now very rude we was about to complain then he stopped taking our order apart from that its a nice pub.
Was it Basil fawlty in disguise, the server the man with white hair, so scary. He forgot my drink and when I asked about it he was rude back to me. I was so glad when the lady came to take our order. My sons chicken burger wasn t very warm. The roast potatoes were very pale colour more like boiled potatoes., didn t like the taste of the pig in blanket or the gravy , and the biscoff cheesecake had a very cheap unpleasant taste to it. Could have been better what a shame
Best roast , great service, lovely setting Veggie roast is best Ive had. Food
Absolutely amazing service! The food was delicious and every single member of staff was helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Christine for being so attentive! Would definitely recommend Watersedge!!
Only stayed for a short break but loved it
Christine and her team at The Watersedge were absolutely amazing today. I arranged a late lunch party for my elderly parents 50th wedding anniversary, with 14 of us. Its fully accessible by wheelchair, no tricky stairs to try to navigate. The food was exceptional - a unique menu, beautifully presented, full of flavour and great quality. Christine even decorated the table area for us! Its in a great setting right next to the canal too, with narrowboats floating slowly by. The best thing of all was the staff - we were so well looked after and they made my Mum and Dad so happy - mission accomplished! Ive also stayed overnight before and that was really clean and comfy. If youre thinking of booking anywhere else, dont bother. Great value and its been a lovely day making precious memories. Thanks Christine!
Had an amazing evening celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Christine the manager went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Amazing food and location. Staff are very friendly and couldnt do enough. Highly recommend for a special celebration or for just enjoying a quiet meal/drink. Great place to visit all year round Parking: Plenty of parking
We stayed in The GlamPod and had dinner in the restaurant. The GlamPod was fantastic and I loved the little finishing touches of the breakfast tray on the bed with croissants, jam and cereal then yoghurt, milk and bottles of water in the little fridge. The food in the restaurant was also amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay
Lovely hidden gem with beautiful scenery & delicious food
Excellent. The best steak ever.
Friendly staff, food excellent specially the steak! Great venue, very pretty with lights etc.
A wonderful restaurant, often very quiet but the food is always delicious (particularly enjoy the steaks and brownie!) and staff are always lovely.
Good food, well priced and very helpful and friendly staff
Good sized pub with outside accommodation by the river. Rooms are clean and well presented. Food was good quality (shame breakfast was continental in the room but a reasonable selection). Good selection of real ales too. Could do with.more seating in the bar but theres plenty of room outside (obvious not so good if its poor weather!). All in all a good stay.
Nice little cottages, great for family events and get-aways. Location is great for close-knit activities. Dinner is good as well. Cooked breakfast was however not served while there and the standard room is in need of some good renovation, but the room heating was spot on! Rooms : 3/5
Completely overwhelmed with the service we had yesterday. The restaurant was full to the brim and we were a table of 24. Not only was the food good, the service was just outstanding!
Went there for Mothers Day lunch, 12 of us in all. The set meal was absolutely lovely & plentiful. We would certainly go again, and recommend it to others Parking: Plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: Hi chairs available
Great experience
Great ribs! The best ribs. And I am a rib addict. Unfortunately they are almost always off the menu. Phone before you go to avoid rib disappointment.
Food was not good to over done chicken was hard roast potatoes hard Yorkshire pudding was burnt didnt eat it all not good for the price .Nice location buy the canal Nice interior lights ect.
Good Roast Dinner and a nice warm welcome from the staff.
Lovely location, staff are kind friendly and helpful, food is great, thanks for having us, see you again soon
Really lovely meal celebrating our daughters 40th Birthday, couldnt have been better .
Good food as always. Lovely settings in the garden by the canal.
One of my favourite spots, nice views onto the canal and great staff.
Had a lovely lunch whilst watching and listening to Ratpack. Great music and singing.
Tasty steak but very chewie prawn starter nice but small. Drinks OK great setting on canal . Good if your on a diet ! Give it a try . Parking: Limited Wheelchair accessibility: OK ish .
Awful service, the room is Tiny with a view on the terrace ans no privacy ... I do not recommend ! Run away !
We stayed in canal view 2 whilst visiting family and was very impressed with the room and the service at The WatersEdge. We had a 2 Course meal including a Sunday Roast and a dessert which was absolutely lovely! Really enjoyed having a table right outside the room which overlooked the canal! We will definitely be returning! Thank you to all the staff for being so welcoming!
Good service, nice location, ambience... Food avg and bit expensive.
A first of its kind in that you pay up front for your food and then nobody checks to see whether it is to your satisfaction. Ive never before been served a steak on a sizzling hot slab, resulting in a very well done steak by default which keeps on cooking throughout. The steak doesnt have a chance to rest and was tough as old boots. Furthermore, it was completely devoid of any flavour. Very gimmicky and a waste of good money, there should be more focus on the quality of the food. The beer selection is also very weak and more befitting of a social club.
First Time visit here: Ive struggled to find a parking space as it was full on Friday, and had no indication of where I could have parked. Its next to a canal so view isnt bad. Service was excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful. Food wasnt that impressive, there was pretty much nothing special on those.
Fabulous family run establishment. Friendly, clean, convenient location.
Be careful if trying to use a meerkat offer they dont accept it on a Sunday even though the app says Monday to Sunday, they tell you its not acceptable as its a special menu (everything we ordered was on the a la carte menu also though) and when we politely mentioned there are no stipulation on the app the manager was quite rude and just said its not allowed. They will also add an OPTIONAL service charge without telling you. The service was slow and there were not even many people in there. The food was ok but nothing special. It would be nice to sit outside and have a drink but thats about it.
Staff are very attentive, we stayed for 4 nights . Pub and restaurant is amazing, and so pretty. I had salmon and it was beautiful, husband had steak which was cooked to perfection Due to availability we did have to stay in three rooms over our stay , staff made this very easy for us . The accommodation just got better , with us staying in the pod for the last few night , which is really lovely . Over looking the canal . We had two dogs with us which were made very welcome, there are beautiful walks around the area . Would definitely recommend and stay again Thank you watersedge for making our stay lovely
Great little place, highly recommend.
Have just had to cancel a meal here for Saturday 17th June 2023 due to the Birthday boy catching Covid. Was incredibly worried as I had to put a £50 deposit down to secure a table for 10. But after ringing this morning and explaining why now we couldn t come the lady was lovely and said no worries they have a book for credit transfers for when we could all get together and celebrate his birthday. Am so pleased as £50 is too much money to just loose nowadays. Hopeful we can all get a date in within 3 months to do this.
Staff & food very good. Food and drinks: Good food and reasonable price. Service : 5/5 |
Just popped in for a drink.
Really good food had a fillet steak on a hot brick fully recommended
Was attending this place for birthday party, restaurant area seemed nice but wasnt overly enamored with the outside area, seems more a place for locals than passing trade, was nice located by the canal but was in an industrial area so not picturesque in any way. Shame as may have been such a good place.
I ordered the ribs. Unfortunately, it was burnt and dry. I dont recommend it.
Always a great service and food when we come here. Lovely location for all seasons
Staff are great. Food is delicious. The camping pod is fab.
Lovely location, very professional staff, good food. This venue is perfect for parties or function.
Ok, nice Duck , not much of a river view.
Went for dinner, it was ok...
A fantastic nut roast very tasty. Excellent staff.
Decent overnight stay.
No go. Spent over £70 for a dinner. One dish was duck on soy sauce with sticky rice which came with normal rice in a bamboo container. When I told the waiter it wasnt sticky rice, he replied he didnt make it. So I said, it mentioned as sticky rice in the menu, then he said if I wanted him to tell the kitchen. What an cocky waiter with absolute disrespect and without customer care!!! Just like the location, but never will be there again.
The staff and the service was excellent, food was very tasty, the atmosphere was incredible. Id absolutely go back there.
Just had a lovely lunch day, it was so nice ,sitting by the canal watching the ducks and beautiful swans. Food was delicious. Did not stay so did not see any rooms.
Stayed two nights in a glamp pod and had dinner on the first night. The pod is fine if you like camping or caravanning, but if you like more space it will feel cramped. It had everything we needed, but the mattress left a lot to be desired. All-in-all, it was alright for what we paid. The meal was faultless, everything was well cooked and tasty, if a little expensive. Rooms: Small but good value. Walkability: Its about a 15-20 minute walk along the canal path to West Drayton Station to get a train into London. Food and drinks: The restaurant food was faultless.
Came here today with friends for a quick sit down and chill . I only wanted a light snack but they only had the Sunday menu Choice of two or three courses So I just asked if I could have the Hunters Chicken from the menu I had a large lemonade and the Hunters Chicken came to £16. We sat outside The food took a bit of time to Come after ordering. Until the waitress came to check what I had ordered as we didn t have table number. The food was hot and it was actually tasty. The chips were nice too . I just wish they had a second menu choice of just small bites .
Great little place hidden out of the way from uxbridge. Popped in to visit from the nearby marina and thought the food was excellent. Lovely staff and a brilliant canalside view
Went to a family 40th birthday party here! Venue was a room with a balcony overlooking a very unattractive marina on the canal! The room was more than big enough and the integral bar was sufficient! 2 very cheerfull bar staff looked after all! Not enough seating on the balcony and the flooring was very worn artificial grass! I saw 2 people trip up on this due to it not being fixed down and all rucked up in places! Also the stairs to reach the upstairs function room are very steep with no handrail to help you up or down! Dangerous and probably contravenes safety standards! A good sized car park ! I probably would not use this venue again!
We had our wedding here and it was amazing!! After viewing a number of venues around London, were so happy we went with The Watersedge. It has great natural light with canal views, is wonderfully decorated and has lovely staff who really care about what they do. We really liked how the guests were able to enjoy the different areas including the bar, dancefloor, marquee and outdoor areas by the water. We had about 50 day guests and 90 evening guests and that was perfect. The food both as part of the wedding breakfast and evening buffet was also so good and very generously portioned. We had a lot of compliments on it and absolutely LOVED the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, its a genuinely lovely family run business, where you will be treated well, fed well and made to feel right at home. A huge thanks to Christine and Natalie for helping to make our day so special and taking care of everything.
It could be that a wedding event had just ended, And the kitchen was possibly overwhelmed. The food was poor quality, a bit over the top with some things. The service was great, the location is gorgeous, the place itself is lovely. I just wish the food was up to a better standard, Burgers were dry & cold. Steaks over cooked, not enough plates etc..
The Waters Edge is a fab place. Great food, superb accommodation and atmosphere. Beautiful and tranquil next to the river
Been here a couple of times midweek great place fantastic outside patio area lotts of seating right beside the canal very pretty. You can just watch the world go by. Great food aswell cant be beat on a sunny day, actually on a rainy summers day aswell the patio is covered. Whats not to like. Google you need more stars for this place.
loved our cabin - tiny but cozy and with a nice view. just 20mins to Heathrow.
Very disappointed
Beautiful place for a night or a full event! Above top-notch service! Rooms : 5/5
I stayed at the Waters Edge for three months with my beloved fur baby. The staff are wonderful - very, very friendly and professional. The restaurant was incredible, the rooms clean and all the locals I met in the bar were incredibly nice. Would not hesitate to recommend and will always use it as my go to when visiting the area. Kathy F., Las Vegas
Nice place to stay the glam pod is my favourite even has a fridge to chill our wine food is amazing especially the sizzling steaks quite expensive but worth it
Value for money Sunday Lunch washed down with a large glass of Zinfandel Polite and very helpful bar personnel Will definitely visit again ***** Service : 5/5
The food is fantastic:-) The service is really good. Excellent staff.
Wonderful meal plus Cher tribute night. Everything absolutely excellent. Well done.
The food is superb, and the staff is accommodating
Great food and views
Excellent food and even better service by a lovely girl called Katie. Very professional and attentive. Will definitely return
Thank you for amazing service and fabulous food. Went for Sunday lunch, great value for money, food was delicious, Nigel was just great, friendly, looked after us so well. Would highly recommend eating here. Thank you for a great Sunday roast.
Quite disappointed with the lunch today. The starters were good but as a main I had the leg of lamb and it was very dry, hard an chewy and there were only four small filets.
My partner and I had the 2 course menu. The king prawns came out on a sizzling hot plate which was a nice touch and they were cooked perfectly. We both had the roast dinner, (the gammon and the lamb) and both were cooked really well with the right amount of gravy. The Yorkie was massive and the pigs in blanket was yummy. Really impressed with the quality and speedy service. Will definitely go back!
Food and drinks: We went to the watersedge for a spur of the moment Saturday lunch and chose this place at random ... It was a lovely and peaceful, lovely setting, staff were friendly the food arrived in good time and was amazing I would definitely recommend the watersedge to others. Service
A hotel that barely reaches 2 stars, the furniture is shabby, dirty, old, the door to the wardrobe was broken and did not open, the bed was broken, it was impossible to sleep at all, mice could be heard at night... And the coolest thing was the so-called Continental breakfast , which consisted of one small croissant and one small yoghurt, which were in the room and naturally had to be eaten in the room, so the restaurant turned out to be in this 4-star hotel I worked only on Saturdays and Sundays, which was not written anywhere. Everything was disgusting!
Wonderful place in a dreaming place!
Had a lovely Sunday roast.
Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Brunel University. Very convenient (20 minute walk and even shorter bus ride) to West Drayton train station for jaunts into Central London. Same bus option in opposite direction to get to Brunel (30 minute walk). Tesco and Aldi located close by should the in-room yogurt and bread croissant not cut it (good thing for the fridge in the room). Stayed in Grand Canal view room #2 which had 1 queen bed and ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the sink, but lots in the shower. I mentioned this to the staff via email and in person - no response via email and a stunned sorry cant help you response from the in-person complaint. The room could also do with more options for hanging clothes as there are only 2 fixed hangers in the room. The adjacent room (#1) was not occupied the 1st 2 nights so it was very quiet, but the 3rd night (next morning really) is when we noticed the extremely thin walls where normal conversation levels could be heard. We managed to enjoy a meal in the onsite restaurant and it was very good (generous house salad and very good fish and chips).
Been here twice for lunch before heading to the airport, food has been great and staff are very friendly
Went there for a wedding in the upstairs room. Very cosy and intimate. Food and staff were amazing.
We went as a family and had dinner in the Dome Stuff were amazing Thank u for a lovely time
Lovely sizzling steak on a stone!
My friends went out for two Birthday treat great food, good service, and excellent intertement . And good value. Hotel highlights
Nice space. Food selection was ok. Some snacks on the tables and water would have been good.
We only used the restaurant which was very good.
Went for Christmas Dinner on a work event. The tables are pushed so close together you struggle to get up from the table. The drinks were expensive. And the dinner wasnt the best quality.
Parking is not enough. I was scared going up and down. There is nothing to hold on to.
Fab place , staff was lovely, entertainment was banging
My husband and his friends booked a dinner reservation. Everything started off really well, until it was time to serve their mains. My husband and 1 of his friends were having Salmon and the rest were having steaks and 1 vegetarian dish. The beef came out first, then low and behold the salmon never arrived!!! It might have made a difference if the Manager or Supervisor or someone could have gone over and gave a credible explanation as to why the salmon was not served, with a suggestion or recommendation of a replacement dish. But of course, none of that happened!!! Deserts where then served (my husband and his friend still waiting on his mains), with extras placed on the table. Dont know if it was a feeble attempt to not get a bad review. Overall, for an establishment to be in this business for this long, my husband and his friends deserved at least good service and their dinner, as this dinner was booked way in advance. This was a complete waste of his time, his friends time and it completely ruined his evening. My advice: I would not recommend this place to any of my family, friends or my worst enemy and you shouldnt either.
Lovely food, service was attentive, not rushed. Had seating outside as well as inside. Right on the river. Looked beautiful in the moonlight with moon shining under humped bridge and lots of ice shimmering in the foreground. Normal restaurant prices. Parking.
