Nice independent but silly that they close so early (stopped serving at 22.00, whilst a comedy night was on).

Visited last Friday. The barman tried to give me a beer that had been pulled earlier and kept to one side (just topping it up). To make matters worse when the barman attempted to hand me the beer over the bar, it caught on something and he poured it over me. I had to clean my coat myself in the toilets (all they could offer was paper). I was given a replacement beer, but had to pay for it. An apparently more senior member of staff on duty was present, but very disinterested. I got a sorry.

Latest update, this place has gone from being one of my favourites to kinda pants. Staff are nice enough but the atmosphere is dry as and they are regularly out of everyday items. Food seems to have gone up in price and down in quality. Keen to support my local but there has to be a balance. Came here for lunch with mates. The food was ace, the staff are really lovely and there is a good selection of drinks. This has really been turned around. Just to say came here for Sunday lunch too. The chicken wings and mixed roast are epic.

Cute pub but the food doesnt match. Had a burger and it was £16 but was definitely a £1 frozen burger. Was so thin and the bun was just a plain white simple bun, reminded me of what you would get at a fair. The roast also did not look much better and my friend didnt enjoy m. No atmosphere at all. Definitely not worth the money at all. Should have guessed as there was not a single other person there on a Sunday afternoon. Drinks also overpriced for uxbridge...

Visited for the 1st time yesterday, was nice but I have to say the roast beef Sunday dinner was really nice but I was still hungry after eating it, lol one piece of meat is just not acceptable when paying nearly £30 per meal. So unfortunately wont be going here again. Cheers

Good pub, however the new Mayor of London, Count Binface, wishes for the hand dryer in the gents toilets to be moved to a more sensible position. Once this had been done there will be peace and security for all!

Terrible experience.. Ordered 3 beef Sunday dinners.. I ate mine.. my girlfriend ate half of hers and my daughter ate a bit of hers.. beef was undercooked and chewy but I can get over that.. the worst part was that the food was not hot.. it was barely warm.. I dont understand how you can serve food like this!?. It wasnt exactly busy.. I told the waiter the the food wasnt hot when asking for the bill.. they gave us 15% off and we left.. though Im grateful.. 15% off something that shouldnt have been served is just a waste of money.. Paid £70 and left.. Now home I am experiencing tummy pains.. I would NOT recommend..

Decent food for when needed and a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Not going to find five star stuff here, but definitely nothing overtly negative For a better experience next time Id recommend our food be a little warmer. It felt, looked and tasted like it had been left to stand for a while (mash was a little dry, vegetables were slightly rubbery, etc.) The location and interior were nice enough that wed be happy to come back and try again when in the area though! Raised the star by one as a thanks for the nice reply to the review!

Excellent Staff, Food, Drinks and atmosphere. I wrongly got given a parking ticket by fault of Park and Collect (private company) and I spoke to a member of staff called Sam. The customer service and helpfulness received, was above and beyond and they managed to reverse the fine for me. Would definitely recommend this place to visit Greg

We recently discovered this pub is dog friendly and have so enjoyed bringing our little sausage dog with us while we enjoy a tasty pint and nibbles. The staff are friendly and the food is one of the best you can find in Uxbridge. Chef does not disappoint!

To be honest 1* is not even enough for this poor service We arrived with no one to help us No one to send us to our table Food orders were ignored also repeatedly asking for what we wanted instead of being ask?? We waited nearly and hour and half for our roast dinner still nothing come Out So we left still hungry and not eaten Asking to pay for drinks in which we did Please if your reading this stay away as you ll only be disappointed like we have half an hour ago and still hungry Absolute joke and disappointed

16th Century pub. Amazingly kept well. Both Kayleigh and Leigh run this pub superbly. The food is excellent and so are the people. I had my wifes 50th at the pub in their atrium. Great set up. Food, service and the music was excellent. Matt - who is the regional manager for the group did a fabulous job in getting everything in place and making sure that it worked like clockwork. Certainly beats any 5* hotel in London! As always brilliant service by Lee and the crew! Lee is no more at the pub. A new set of managers are in place and seem friendly.

Had a lovely meal here, lots of choices on the menu for both meat eaters and veggies. Tilly my dog was made very welcome too. Staff are friendly and helpful. And it s clean and well cared for. We shall be back.

We hadnt booked anything for mothers day and were beyond surprised that the team could squeeze us in for lunch. I can not tell you how amazing the food and service was especially as we hadnt booked. What was lovely that although we were told the table will need to be back within an hour and half we werent made to feel rushed. If anything they service was like can I get you another white wine mum.Will definitely be bringing all the family back here. Impeccable service especially with two little ones. Planned to pop in for a drink before moving on to another hostelry for lunch. Was so impressed by the lovely welcome that we decided to peruse the menu. Mrs P went for a classic Sunday lunch. I went for something lighter. Both impressed.

Waited over an hour at the table for food to turn up one of our party was gluten free but when the food turned up when queried if it was in fact gluten free it transpired it wasnt, even though it was on the menu as gluten free someone could end up in hospital. The meal was replaced with a gluten free one. A wait of 15 minutes for an unappetising cheese burger with gluten free bap. Two of our party had to wait an additional 20 minutes for their meals because the order was lost everyone else had their meals on the table. We had 20% taken off the bill, and three free meals, that doesnt make up in any way the incompetence of the staff. Gordon Ramsay where are you. Visit this place.

A decent pub within walking distance of the town centre and a little away from the hustle and bustle. They have a good selection of beers on plus some real ales too. There is a nice beer garden too, although we re back to the typical British summer at time of writing! Worth a visit if in town. Hopefully one day they move the hand drier by the urinals in the gents to a more sensible position. Here s hoping

Attended the Crown & Treaty for a friends birthday. Loads of food and they stock my favourite gin!

Hired the conservatory for my birthday. From initial contact with the pub months prior right though to the end of the evening the communication was fantastic. The staff on the night were attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend this stunning space for a party, gathering, wedding or similar. It s perfect!

I had heard good things about the C&T since the refurb and new management. And all this was confirmed by a visit with friends yesterday. A wide choice of comfortable areas to sit, inside and outside, good local ale - on this occasion Knight of the Garter from the excellent Windsor and Eton and Brewery, a tempting menu followed up by well cooked food and superlative and solicitous service by Freya. It was a joy to hear her knowledge about the history and features of this famous old building. No 1 in Uxbridge now!

Had 2 great evenings at the Crown and Treaty in Uxbridge, including a most entertaining pub quiz. The landlord and his team couldnt be more helpful and friendly. I would recommend this as a great place to visit to eat and drink.

Not very organised. We booked a joint meal and RockNRoll bingo experience when we tracked down a front of house person who was actually working (its amazing how many staff were sitting around but when you asked a question you were greeted with Im not working when we gave our order eventually as everything we asked for was out of stock even the mash my sister asked for with the pie and mash she was told thats fine but when my sister queried the lady telling me it was out of stock she replied you can have chips and then the gentleman came and asked if we were playing his bingo game we had to track down Lord Lucan Aka our front of house person to try and find out how long itll be until the food arrives so we could try and coordinate the eating and bingo experience that the pub itself was putting on for about £17 per person. We were told to leave the quiet eating area to go and sit in the loud music room where you can try and converse with your waitress through raised voices and exagagerated hand gestures. Maybe in future tell paying guests they should give a longer window as they cant seem to cope with two jobs at once.

Our visit was superb!! Our tour group was treated royally by the staff and the food was excellent!! Our 101 year old WWII Eighth Air Force veteran was the guest of honor thanks to the gracious staff that went to the trouble of decorating a table in his honor. Arrived for Christmas Dinner and they said we had to pre book even after asking the person who confirmed our booking and said it wasnt necessary. Half of the stock was missing. £7 for a pint in Uxbridge is criminal and so is £11.10 for a glass of wine. The reason its a 3 star rating is because of the bloke serving us, apologised throughout even though it wasnt his fault directly.

We had our office Christmas Dinner here last week and we were well looked after by Sam and his team - Special shout out for Kellie and her co worker on an excellent service - Food was well cooked and arrived nice and hot and none of the extras were forgotten- Thanks again The Wavestore Team

Met a friend for Lunch was disappointed with the food calamari was Stone cold , chicken wings were ok but the house chips were a let down. Was given a dirty plate! Pub in itself is nice service ok. Unfortunately I will not return

Just had to walk out, had a table for 2 booked for 8pm, waited a considerable amount of time before anyone come to see to us although staff were walking past! After some confusion we were seated without menus, my husband had to help himself to menus, when he went to the bar to order - although it was supposed to be table service! When he went to the bar, he was told the kitchen was CLOSED!!!! My husband asked why did you take our booking the guy didn t answer, then said I ll see if the Chief will open the kitchen but he s busy. The place is clearly short staffed and no one has a clue what is going on. I am disappointed as a local resident, unfortunately at the moment the pub isn t living up to it s revamp. You need more staff and efficient ones.

As pubs in the Uxbridge area go its alright and theres some outdoor seating and free parking. They tend to be out of various beers whenever I go in, but it appears to be popular for people for food as well. The competition over the road at the swan and bottle is quite fierce.

Beautiful building and reason enough to visit. Owners have clearly reinvested a lot into this and can cater for large groups and have a wedding license apparently. Sadly the food fare takes a nosedive 4 out of 10, drinks are limited to whats in stock. Spent less in in more deserving venues. Was a little disappointing as was a special occasion. Will try again in a couple of months, as had a positive chat with the new GM and Hchef.

This used to be a great community Pub at the heart of Uxbridge student and alternative music nighlife. Now gentrified and gastronomified for the non existant office workers. If you do park at The Crown and Treaty on this car park at any date or time you will be likely to get a parking fine. Your signage is deceiveing as the main BIG sign on entry says clearly PARKING FOR PERMIT HOLDERS and PUB PATRONS. This is all a driver would see on entry and as it is new parking system regulars and visitors would logically absorb this. The small Orange signs are tiny and the print even smaller on them making them inevitably missed, ignored or unread at night in particular or in low light. The signs are too high ands the font too small while the insturction to register is hidden at the end of a sentence. In addition the pub signage to register your car does not say why or that it is for parking. Also the Pub sign for parking is on a small chalkboard at the the bar and not at the front door so is easily missed. I was advised by the pub staff to email this address to have the penalty waived. The pub staff was quite rude and dismissve when i suggested they put a board at the front door and she admitted that she is giving out the cancellation of parking fine email regularly and often. When i said you are going to lose customers because of this she just shrugged and indicated `so what`and actually slammed the door shut as I calmly left. The huge Union Jack flying over the roof with a Crown indicates a kind of throwback to another age when pubs were mainly white and indigenous.

Looks great,very expensive for drinks. Check twice what you ask for. Got charged for double gin even though i didnt ask for it.

Visited here for the first time with my family on Father s Day and had a lovely experience. Apart from being a really attractive pub, the food was great (especially my Cajun prawns), and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming so we ll be returning. No issues with parking as you just log your details in when you arrive.

Attended comedy evening in the topless conservatory. Nice pub and facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Comedy evening there is excellent and very funny and well organized. Pub had good selection of drinks and a resturant which look forward to trying during next visit.

Amazing staff and history..So kind to show us around 10/10

Cheese and bacon burger with onion rings as a side. Really tasty, quality smoked bacon, tasty beef patty and a generous portion of the best ever onion rings. Service was quick, staff polite and well spoken. Ive been here several times and will definitely be back.

A lovely pub with incredibly friendly and polite staff. We arrived there by chance after being treated terribly in the pub across the road. And what a welcome! The manager greeted us at the door, offered us a lovely table and promptly brought us drinks and roasts. I cannot praise them enough. I then found out about the history of the building which is incredible! 100% worth the visit! Ill be back soon!

Location, environment and service was good. Parking available for customer but you should remember to register your car when you arrive. Burger was average. Sirloin wasn t great giving the price. Overall good experience but I was expecting better quality on the food given the price.

Had a lovely family meal for my mums 90th Birthday. The service was excellent as was the food. The two children (5 year old and 1 year old) were served first, so that they could be fed more easily. Many thanks to the staff for making our celebration so special.

Today we invited our friends for lunch to celebrate my husband s birthday. Worst choice of pub I ever done! Luke warm ale, I ordered sirloin I got half of chicken. The chicken was raw and cold, veg was cold. gravy was cold. Not seasoned. We asked for salt and pepper and they served a small packed salt for 4 people seated. We sent the chicken back and the second chicken served was almost the same! I ruined the day!

Such a nice pub, definitely my new favourite and personally best in the area. Food was good & decent selection of drinks. The mon-thurs grill+drink is a great deal.

Im not one for complaining but it wasnt good. The building itself is lovely. Inside and out. And the staff are friendly. But dining wise.. not good. Had a 5.00 Sunday evening booking. Was told there is no Yorkshire pudding 20 minutes after both ordering the pork. Couldnt be bothered to re order so went with the flow. The roast potatoes were actually boiled potatoes. The veg was just one of them multi pack things you would get in Tesco express. They gravy was pretty much just hot water. And the crackling was absolutely inedible. The only thing on our plates that was half decent was the pork meat itself. And 6/10 at best. I didnt bother complaining. I will vote with my feet. NEVER AGAIN.. A real shame because basically a nice place. Oh well

Historic building well refurbished great service pleasant staff the only criticism is the noise of I think the coffee bean grinder which is often in use and stops conversation in the main bar. Timothy Taylor on draught is excellent.

Came here this afternoon for a quick stop and a drink with my fiance. Met a lovely lady working there named kaylee (sp!?) Ordered chips and they were very tasty, more than usual. Kaylee also showed us the upstairs rooms where the treaties were taking place. The rooms were beautiful and she was full of knowledge! Pleasant staff from her and the man behind the bar. I cant wait to go again. Oh!! And thats not even it... they have a LOVELY sweet charming back bar with heaters and a retractable roof filled with twinkle lights inside... very comfortable place to hang out :)

Unfortunately, I cant give this place five stars, even though the staff were very good. I ordered pie and mash and had to wait quite a while which surprised me as I could only see three tables occupied. When the pie finally came, it was very over cooked making it very difficult to cut into. When I did gain entry, I found very little inside and was very disappointed. The gravy was so thick I had to use my knife to get it out of the jug that it came in. I wouldnt say it was inedible, but it was very hard work. When we were asked how our meal had been, I told the young lady and she immediately knocked the price of the pie off the bill. The beer however was excellent, I had three pints of Landlord and the staff were lovely, but theres clearly issues in the kitchen. A pie like that should never have been sent out especially with gravy that needed toweling on. So, the three stars are for the beer and the staff.

Went to the pub this past weekend to watch Firehouse the live band. Staff were friendly and even though it was full service was prompt, meal was excellent and steak was perfectly cooked. Pricing was very reasonable, Firehouse was Brilliant and really played some fantastic tunes!!! Will definitely be going back. Great night out!!!

Rented out the smaller back room for a surprise 70th birthday. Perfect location, perfect buffet. Excellent party. Would not hesitate to recommend the Crown and Treaty to anyone.

We had an excellent evening here the other week for their first hosted comedy night. Both the comedy club and pub were brilliant and everyone really friendly. Live comedy is a great idea and addition to Uxbridge. And in a lovely pub it s even better. Well done all. Look forward to more events in the New Year which I heard are being discussed??
