Greek Restaurant Caretta Caretta in Uxbridge

I have ordered here many times, and I have to say SOME of the food is amazing and fresh, however the last time I had pork kebab , I had the worst stomach issues for 2 days. I wasn t sure if it was from here or elsewhere I got the issues from, so we gave it another go this week and ordered a load of food including pork kebab, I had the exact same issues once again. I don t know where you get your pork from, but I d suggest cooking it for longer / at a higher temperature or informing the company you use because it s made me quite sick 2 times now. I ll still use you guys and I will delete this review after a few weeks as I don t want to damage your reputation, but it s a pretty serious issue and you could be fined £5000 plus for food poisoning. Apart from this , your food is great.

I had a terrible experience as all the orders were wrong and I have been told by the waitress that I had ordered the wrong items, which isnt true. I knew what I wanted and I speak English, thank you very much However the food was really tasty so I am sorry for the cook who had to make my dish like 3 times.

I am very glad to see it open again. The best place for quality food in Uxbridge. I love a platter for two with great meat selection and a the falafel wrap. Also a good selection of local drinks and very nice service. Highly recommend!

Ive been wanting to visit here for a long time,and todays the day. I got Mousaka and ate in. This restaurant is spotlessly clean,the waiting staff are professional,polite and very helpful,nothing seems like too much of a problem. Now the good bit,the food. My Mousaka was absolutely beautiful,both in appearance and full of flavour,accompanied with a lovely appropriately sized side salad and some chips.The portions here are very generous and the quality of food is 100%. 100%Honest and genuine review. I will definitely be coming back here,soon,I hope.

Just passing by and dedcid to try this beautiful restaurant, and i have to say that we had the best experience that anyone would be able to have in a restaurant, you walk in and you find that everything is spotlessly clean , and we were greeted by the nicest waitress anyone could ever ask for with a smile on her face and nothing was too much trouble, if you want to experience the Greek food and proper clean and tidy and seeing your food cooked in front of you. Forget the rest you come here first 5 Service all the way

Eating in the restaurant is fantastic, food great and generous portions. Unfortunately as a delivery from Deliveroo, we were very disappointed. The food arrived warm although only being a 5 minute ride away. The portions were small and certainly not up to the standard of the restaurant. We will continue to eat in the restaurant but not have food delivered.

There s some room for improvement on their food. Otherwise it is a 5 stars place to eat

Although we went early evening after finishing some shopping, me and my son were very satisfied with our dining experience. The portions are huge and very tasty. Service was polite and helpful for taking our doggy bag home. The bill for both of us was under £30, and a healthy change from what my son would usually be asking for as a high street snack. Will defo go again

The worst gyro Ive ever had. Avoid at all costs

So so goooood!! The vine wraps and the chicken wee super tasty. The olive oil and vinegar to dress the salad made my day. Cant stand most places give you dry salad. The salad is actually simple and very nice instead of the usual inedible and full of onions kind haha. Would go again any day. Kind and well timed service

I went here a few weeks ago and got the chicken sandwhich with fries etc. It was overpriced and it had some sort of taste of pork. I think it is because they have a massive pork hanging as a bbq stand.

The best gyros this side of Greece. As someone who loves a cheeky gyros no other restaurant I have tried comes close. For those looking for authentic Greek cuisine served by lovely Greek family I strongly recommend you try. Take care service is not included so don t forget to tip the waiters/waitresses. Vegetarian options: As I am not a vegetarian I am no expert. However Greek cuisine has many excellent vegetarian options I just don t look for them on the menu.

Went here for dinner with a friend. Have previously ordered a pork gyros wrap from here. The pork gyros is tasty. The restaurant offers good value with big portions being the norm. A couple of things they could improve upon: Homemade tzatziki instead of the sauce they re using which has an odd buttery consistency (in fairness a lot of restaurants in Greece use this stuff too). Chips made from freshly cut potatoes. Service was excellent and although we didn t order it the tres leches cake looked awesome. This is the sort of restaurant that will get better the more people dine here. It makes a good alternative to somewhere like Nandos.

Tidy, attentive and fairly truly greek, from Alfa to Zouvlaki (okay thats a stretch), a welcome quality addition to Uxbridge centre thats not just about late nights noms.

I lived in Greece for years and have always been underwhelmed when eating a Greek meal in the UK . But this is super yum and the closest thing to actually getting a gyro in Greece tzatziki is on point

The food was delicious HUGE portions. The atmosphere is very pleasant, great choice of drinks too.

The food was very grease was not able to eat more that the half also not very tasty. I didnt see anyone cutting fresh meat I think they gave us old one. The stuff friendly and the place looked nice but I wouldnt go back again.

The food was indeed very good, the service too. If I would change anything, it would be to tell them to add tzatziki instead of garlic mayo. I also didn t love that the chips were frozen and not home made. But overall great place and great price

We stumbled upon this plave today and decided to check it out. We were lured by the cleanliness and good atmosphere of this place, plus the prices on the menu seemed really reasonable. We got in and were immediately greeted by a really lovelly girl that made us feel very welcomed and confortable. She was so helpfull and kind and patient. The food was amazing. We had the greek sausage in pita (spoiler alert, this is a huge portion) along with tzatziki and olives. All perfect. We washed it down with a lovelly crisp house white wine. For the grand finalle we had a trelece by the server recommendation and it was heaven, along with a super refreshing fredso coffee. I 100% reccomend this place. I loved the food and service, but just the fact that the place itself was so clean and confortable, full of light and great atmosphere really drove the whole experience home. We will 100% go back as this is now our greek go to place as its cheaper, just as fresh and the atmosphere a lot nicer and quieter than our old greek go to place...

Tried this for the first time after noticing it had opened. Fantastic food and service, portion sizes were great too for the price. Would not hesitate to come back. One suggestion is to swap the special sauce for tzatziki for a more authentic taste! Real nice atmosphere inside too. Looking forward to returning

After reading the great reviews ordered a delivery, 2 gyros, pork steak, halloumi, spicy feta (was not spicy at all), was just mashed up feta, extra pittas, olives, tzatziki, £80. Pork steak was a pork chop (my husband was a butcher), over cooked & dry, small potion of chips & very small amout of salad. Chicken gyros were smothered in some sort of white sauce not tzatzike, chicken was re cooked not good. Very disappointed. Wont be eating from there again. To add to this review both myself & my daughter had the chicken gyros, and we were both up throughout the night with an upset stomach.

After seeing all the good reviews, I came here and ordered the Chicken Gyro skepasti and when it arrived, I was surprised by the portion and it looked really good. However the gyro was very bland, didnt taste fresh and left me nauseous afterwards. I do not recommend this place.

I enjoy the food so much I forget to take pics. I highly recommend the lamb chops, they are juicy, well bbqd with Crispy fat, served with tasty chips, soft flatbread side salad and a yummy white sauce. It is a huge portion! I have also tasted the chicken gyros which was delicious. The food is fresh and made with love. Inside is as if you are away on holiday. For some great food, a little escape at a reasonable price go here. Also the trilece dessert I took a pic of was heaven.

It is a new Greek restaurant in Uxbridge High Street. The restaurant is positioned on the opposite side of Tesco, and it is very easy to find it. The waiter was helpful and polite. The food is presentable, good, and tasty. The client can choose not only the meat bit and type of the portion to order. We were dileted from the food and the drinks.

Absolutely lovely addition to Uxbridge! The food was delicious, fresh, hot and the portions were good as well. We had the Chicken Gyros Platter Version and you definitely get a decent portion size. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting again to try the moussaka.

Ordered the pork kalamaki and lamb kebab which arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The lamb kebab was like a sausage but had this awful pink stuff ouzing out and maybe 20 soggy chips with tomatoe and onion chucked in. The pork was over cooled as if it had been pre-cooked and then flashed on the griddle to warm it up again soggy tomatoes and onions. Being Cypriot myself I cannot see how they get away with it. First and last time we will use this place. Just hope my stomach is okay tomorrow!!!!

The food here is so delicious. Its served pretty quickly and the quality is very good. The staff are very approachable and friendly, always smiling. Got a takeaway chicken wrap from these guys a few days ago and it is honestly one of the best Ive ever had. Including those Ive had in Greece They do the thing of putting chips in the wrap and these were on point! Only improvement could be a little hot sauce or pickled chillis. Staff were super friendly and it also came with a free lemon drink which was delicious. May go and sit in next time as the place seemed really clean too.

What a great gem in Uxbridge. This was our first time visiting, and this will not be our last. The service was incredible. The waitress serving us helped us through the menu, and she was so attentive. We ordered the chicken gyros pitta wrap, chicken gyros merida, and lamb kebab merida. All our dishes tasted absolutely incredible but the lamb kebab with philadelphia cheese inside was something special. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, family friendly and the pricing is decent. We will be definitely going back and recommending to others.

Placed an order through Uber eats. I had a chicken gyros wrap. I totally recommend changing the sauce with tzatziki as the one you use is too heavy. With tzatziki then is the perfect chicken gyros. Basically this is how a chicken gyros should be.otherwise everything was good
