Really good place and yummy food. Our go to place!

I hated this place. It exists to serve the Asian community and their menu is very different to the traditional British Indian restaurant which most of us are familiar with. I knew what I wanted to eat before I entered, but unfortunately it wasnt even on the menu. If you want poppadoms, you have to buy a basket full, too many for one person. Neither can you order a naan bread. You can however, order a bread basket which is half a dozen naans cut into quarters. Most of the familiar curries are absent from the menu too, but I ordered one I recognised. It was okay, but it repeated on me for hours afterwards. So Diner Beware - do your homework before taking a seat in the Dhamaka. If your family tree doesnt have any Indian branches, the chances are youll be disappointed with this restaurant. Oh, and the final bill for one person was what I would normally expect to pay for two people.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dhamaka for the first time with a friend, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We decided to try the Pani Puri, and it turned out to be the best we ve ever had. The flavours were incredibly well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice and tang, making each bite a delightful burst of taste.From the moment we entered, the hospitality stood out. Tony, who attended to us, was extremely polite and helpful. He took the time to guide us through the menu and, with complete transparency, informed us that the restaurant is not halal, which we appreciated.An unexpected highlight of the visit was when I had finished my Pani Puri but still had some chutney left. On a whim, I requested two more puris to finish off the chutney, and to my surprise, the chef generously provided them free of charge. It was a small gesture, but it absolutely made my day.Overall, the service was impeccable, with a warm and hospitable atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The chef s attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile for customers did not go unnoticed. I would highly recommend Dhamaka to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.

I telephoned on a Tuesday to make a booking for four for this restaurant on the Saturday I was told this was fine and if there was any problem they would call me back during the week I arrived on Saturday and was told they had no reservation for me and the restaurant was busy It was obvious by their manner they didn t give a flying

I had my 18 birthday there and the service and food was amazing I really enjoyed it and had a good time.

My salad cost £10.95 including a soft drink compared to £11.95 for curry and rice with a drink. These were part of their lunchtime menu. I think perhaps a small roti could have been offered with the salad which would represent better value or even to have had rhe option to have a lassi drink

Overpriced for what you get - not worth it, targeted for European palette!! Felt uncomfortable sitting there with my family and upset that we wasted a fortune on food that we couldn t finish as the taste was awful. Never going back. Not for people who want authentic dishes. Regret going.

Beautiful Indian Restaurant in Ickenham, visited on a busy Saturday Evening, loved the very ambient atmosphere, even when it got busy it was still a very pleasant setting, service was very attentive and very good, little slow at times. Sorry to say it wasnt what we expected. A mild korma was just so spicy and unable to eat. Ive been for many curry meals and do not do hot so we always have mild meals. The starter meals was fabulous but mains. No not for us.

First time I had been to this Restaurant so didnt know what to expect. The food was excellent, drink selection excellent. Even had a bottled bitter available. Nice atmosphere in very modern layout.

Food was very good but service was terrible. Waiters couldnt really understand English but we knew service would be a disaster beforehand.

Good place with a nice ambiance; Proper Indian curries and bread (Naan, Roti, etc). A little bit expensive compared to surrounding areas but the quality of the food is good. Quantitywise it is okay, but not a large quantity. Biryani also tastes good and has an aromatic smell. Chicken and fish varieties are good.

Hosted a 91st birthday lunch here. The pleasant ambience coupled with the contemporary decor make it an excellent venue. The food was delicious, exceptional, authentic and truly scrumptious and the service outstanding.The manager Rolly and his team provided seamless service and worked tirelessly to make the celebration a great success. Thank you to all the team. We have dined here several times and the food and service are consistently outstanding. Dhamaka is now our go to restaurant whenever friends visit. Definitely recommend!

My family and I love this restaurant. We dined yesterday and the food was delicious. I took some of the food home to heat up for the next day. Unfortunately, when I did come to heat it up, I found a piece of chicken that was completely raw. I won t insert a picture here - but I was so relieved that I did not eat it. I was shocked - this was a piece of chicken that was from my grandma s dish - I fear that she may not have seen this as quickly as I did and may have ended up eating it. This would have caused huge problems and I would not like to think about what could have happened. I would like someone from the team to contact me about this, as it has left me quite traumatised.

Dhamaka arranged a team lunch for my company today and all our employees were super happy with the quality of food. They did provide us extra chutneys and poppadum and it all tasted so good. Their staff and services are very professional. Highly recommended for delicious Indian/Asian food.

I ve been to Dhamaka quite a few times now and it never disappoints. First of all, the food is superb, beautifully cooked and presented. Update Dec 22: Went to Dhamaka with my extended family, party of 24. The service was very good and the staff are very attentive. Each dish was great and faultless, including the children s dishes. The family enjoyed the atmosphere and the scrumptious food. It is great to have such a lovely restaurant in Ickenham. Original Sep 22: Delicious food. Have eaten at sooooo many Indian restaurants. What makes this restaurant stand out is the clean authentic taste of the dishes. Each dish has its own base whereas in lots of other restaurants they use the same base. We have dined in and also had take away. Pleased every time. Good, friendly and efficient service.

I ordered a takeaway last Saturday the 5th of August. I was very disappointed with the food, it was rather bland for the price. The chicken biryani didn t come with a complimentary curry, which I have always had at other restaurants. Also the Chicken Korma sauce was very runny and watery, not as I have had from other restaurants I have used. I usually use Rajdoot in Ruislip Manor but thought I would try this one out. I would definitely not recommend Dhamaka or be using them again. Back to Rajdoot from now on.

A wonderful local restaurant serving great tasting authentic North Indian cuisine. Cannot fault it. We hosted a landmark birthday for a family member here, with exclusive hire on a Sunday afternoon. It was the perfect celebration thanks to the wonderful staff and amazing food. We were able to come early to put up a few party decorations, the place is already very tastefully decorated.

Food is just amazing. I have tried paneer Tikka masala curry and tandoori roti. I tried many but these are must tries. Carrot halwa is must try! Good part is they provide additional dishes which are not in the menu. Ambience is great and the staff are so welcoming

I recently had a highly unsatisfactory experience at Dhamaka Indian restaurant in Ickenham during a Diwali family dinner that was supposed to be a special celebration for my sons 7th birthday. Despite booking a table well in advance for six people at 6:30 pm, the restaurants inflexibility and lack of customer-centric approach left us with a bitter taste. Initially, due to the festive nature of Diwali, I contacted the restaurant to request a slight postponement of our reservation, considering the possibility of delays on such a busy day. Unfortunately, the manager was quick to dismiss our request, claiming that the table was already booked for 8 pm for other guests. While I understood the constraints, the managers eagerness to cancel our booking altogether seemed unnecessarily harsh. Upon our arrival, just 8 minutes late due to unexpected traffic, we were seated at a cramped table meant for four adults and two children. The rushed and unaccommodating atmosphere continued as we were promptly handed menus and asked for drink orders within just 2 minutes. It became evident that the staff was more interested in turning over tables quickly than providing a pleasant dining experience. Our dissatisfaction peaked when our seven-year-old, excited for his birthday treat, ordered mild Chilli Paneer. Despite clarifying our preference twice, we were served the spicy version, leaving our youngest family member unable to eat. The servers, seemingly more concerned with clearing plates than addressing our concerns, whisked away our finished dishes without a word. As we approached the 7:30 mark, contemplating our main course choices and enjoying our drinks, the restaurant manager, Rolly, approached us with blatant rudeness. He insisted that we place our mains order immediately, citing a strict 1 hour 30 minutes dining time policy for high-end restaurants in the UK. When I questioned this policy, he pointedly checked my reservation details but found no mention of such a time restriction. After a heated argument and some unpleasant exchanges, the manager reluctantly agreed to give us an hour. Dissatisfied with the overall experience, we decided to cut our losses and requested the bill for the starters and drinks. Only then did the manager realize his mistake and apologize for his aggressive behaviour. In the end, our Diwali dinner and my sons birthday celebration were marred by the unwarranted rush and unprofessionalism displayed by the manager and the restaurant. We left by 8:15, paying a £120 bill for an experience that fell far short of our expectations. I would caution anyone considering dining at Dhamaka to be aware of their time-based dining policy, which seems to prioritize the restaurants convenience over the customers experience. I, for one, will certainly be avoiding this restaurant in the future.

Ive brought friends here and husband too; this food is amongst the best Ive had in Dubai or London. Beautiful presentation and thoughtful service, but at reasonable prices. So not too much for a weekday treat. Ickenham is lucky to have it.

An absolutely fantastic place for original and authentic Indian food. The tawa lamb was exceptional, every dish we tried was excellent. Dhamaka has been a long time coming - and well worth the wait, its raised the bar to a whole new level for decor and ambience. Finally, Ickenham has a top quality Indian restaurant on par with any central London Indian eatery.

Newly opened (July 22), and very welcome to Ickenham. Smart interior design. Menu with some unfamiliar items which are mostly just your curries under different names. Extensive vegetarian options. Standard bar. Food was really good. Service a little hesitant as team settle in. Prices low now because of opening promotion.

Great service and lovely interior! A trendy restaurant that fits on the high street. First Indian restaurant I have been to where you have to pay for popadoms to start with?! Both of us ordered dishes with one chilli marking and it was too spicy for us. We are usually ok with moderate spice but this was too much.

Food was amazing. Dinner for 2, with 2 starters and one main was more than enough. Butter chicken was lovely as were the green spiced chicken and the paneer starters. Big Thank You to DHAMAKA I have come across many restaurants and today I ve found a delicious mouth watering Indian restaurant on my drive through this village called Ickenham and I will be telling you about my experience at DHAMAKA, fantastic food and very authentic! Me and my family were greeted with a warm welcome to the restaurant from a very charming gentleman standing at the entrance as soon as we got in, we were very lucky they had availability I would advise to book as it was very busy when we arrived. I d definitely recommend going to Dhamaka. It was my first time trying this place and its definitely blown my mind with the delicious flavours and the food texture is honestly perfect, I have to say your chef is very good ! I had ordered various dishes for the family, they all loved it especially the Old Delhi Style Butter Chicken it tasted like it was from India, very authentic! along with side the delicious Chicken Biryani and the freshly made Garlic Naan bread made in their lovely looking tandoor it was prepared soo perfectly, definitely try this place its worth every penny. Ooo dont forget .... the Chilli Paneer it s smashing ! If you love a little kick of spice. Its making me want to order another portion now as I type so you may get another booking soon .. ... The kids loved your Dhamaka Tandoori Mix Grill , they are doing my head in for more so see you again soon.... Your chef has definitely won the kids heart with the delicious flavours. A very Beautiful Restaurant in Ickenham. The food and presentation was really nice and tasty. Specially thanks to All Chefs, Rolly and his amazing service team.

Decided to try this place as close by and seems to have good reviews. Went there with partner, and both came away thinking its only an average 3 out of 5 rating. Service was poor, still learning the ropes, even after opening more than 2 months ago. Food was just ok, nothing special. There are other restaurants in area, including Breakspear Arms, where food is much better & more authentic. For the food and service, found it quite expensive. I guess were paying extra for the nice decor. Overall conclusion: If passing, its ok place to go to but there are much better places, better food and service within 15 mins.

Celebrated my Husbands 40th birthday at Dhamaka this weekend. Decided on Tuesday that 40 of us were going to have a meal together. Contacted the restaurant and was put in tough with Rolly. He was absolutely amazing, helped with the menu choices, made adjustments to the set menu for the children and set times for everything which helped ease my mind that the evening would go well. On the night, the tables were layed out well and the food and drinks were flowing all evening. The food was absolutely delicious from starters to mains and the kids food was great too. Everyone was stuffed to the brim and commented on how the restaurant was very well decorated and the food was made to high Punjabi standards and came out piping hot. Honestly had such an amazing evening, with great food and a great experience. Cant recommend them enough.

Dhamaka.. as the name suggests this place is an explosion of flavours! Amazing food, amazing ambiance, and the food remains authentic! The best Indian food in town - so don t miss out and get yourself here quickly! Don t forget to try the tandoori prawns .. they are delicious x

Absolutely amazing food and service - authentic, fresh and very tasty. Ive lactose allergy too and they were very accomodating! Vegetarian options: Very accomodating of you let them know beforehand - they had a good selection of veggie options. Very tasty still. Dietary restrictions: Ive recently discovered my lactose issue, but informed them beforehand and when dining, theyd prepared all of my dishes without using dairy. Was amazing, still creamy. No idea how they managed it.

Probably the best meal that I had in London! The food is made fresh and they follow instructions very well - food is customized to perfection :) I went with my baby and they made special non-spicy food for him. Portion size is also good and it was totally worth going to a bit far off place.

Nice modern decor but let down by the bland food, not really much flavor to any of the curries. I also mentioned to a waiter that our poppadoms were stale, he told me they were not without even checking them Rude waiter. Another waiter then served us some fresh ones which were fine. Overall found the place to be overpriced fior what it was. Wont be returning. Get the feeling people like paying for pretentious decor rather than tasty traditional Indian food

Great authentic Indian food with a taste of home rather than your typical dishes that all taste the same, cooked in the same sauce. The staff are knowledgeable on the dishes they serve and cant do enough to make your visit enjoyable. We had a variety of dishes from meat to vegetarian and all were amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the Dhamaka team!

Newly opened in Ickenham. First impressions fantastic. Great ambience, love the decor, great authentic food. Has the feel of a central London restaurant, just hope they can keep standards up to this level, great addition to area.

It is so refreshing to have an Indian restaurant of this quality in ickenham where the restaurant choices are a little sparse. The restaurant has a glitzy and impressive appearance. Food is generally high quality and tastes authentic. The service was good..the manager happily exchanged our soya tikka for a new one when the first came out a little dry. Thankfully the second attempt was exquisite, as was the chilli brocoli. Well worth a visit and we are looking forward to returning Vegetarian options: Extensive vegetarian options

This was my first time visiting Dhamaka with my friends and we were blown away by the range of dishes with plenty of flavour, their own unique style and twist and food catered for all needs. The restaurant and bar is a perfect night out with the girls - plenty of good vibes, selection of drinks, great value and a five star service! Vegetarian options: A wide range of vegetarian dishes, catered to your needs. The Paneer dishes, daal and range of naans cooked fresh in front of you were exceptional

Menu was very limited but food was good. Gave us someone elses meal but we all make mistakes so no big deal, very clean environment.

Loved the environment, food was delicious, prices are little high but worth, limited parking along sides. Recommended!

I have dined at Dhamaka several times, the staff are brilliant and I am always impressed with their swift service. Restaurant manager Rolly is very friendly and does an excellent job. The food quality is amazing especially the delicious tandoori mixed grill. Also the location is very convenient with nearby transport links and lots of available parking. Additionally the interior decor is very modern and top quality. Dhamaka is my go to restaurant for authentic Indian food, I will definitely be visiting again in the future for many more times to come!

Ordered a set menu for home delivery for Diwali and it was amazing. Also went to an event here and eaten a few more times now. Absolutely brilliant food and service, possibly the best Indian now in the Hillingdon borough. Will be coming again soon.
