The bouncers allow men to inappropriately groupe young girls up and let them back into the establishment men leaving all girls feeling unsafe

If I could put zero stars I would. I tried to talk to the bouncer about why my party wasn t allowed in and he wouldn t let me talk once and kept interrupting me so obviously as any sane person I got upset at being interrupted and he then barred me for getting annoyed. Would not recommend at all. Disgusting behaviour from a man to a young woman.

Very rude bouncer on the door tonight. Bouncers are there to provide security, not to belittle and be rude to paying customers. Gives a very poor first image of a place when someone is there just to throw their weight around and be rude to a young girl, shame on you.

Excellent Guinness!

Ordered via Uber eats. Firstly, the butter chicken was not the colour from the menu- orange/yellow, it was a grey-ish colour. The boxes came completely squashed , oil everywhere over my hands and work surfaces- I hope that comes out! Curry/rice ratio - far more rice and not enough sauce - a very dry dish. Taste wise - Butter chicken is usually creamy, mild a bit sweet, this had a slight kick to it and could taste a lot of garlic. The masala chips, came squashed, were soggy, mushy and only good for the bin. A shame but it ll be the first and last time ordering from here.

Great atmosphere on a Friday night. Fiver to get in but it was worth it because the DJ was great. He played some classic tunes along with modern stuff. The staff and bouncers were friendly. A great night out with my wife.

Came in on Xmas eve and the guy behind the bar serving was extremely rude to us and a few other people! We won t be coming back again because of him!

Horrible service horrible food dirty sticky floors avoid this place arrogant entitled staff member draft coke no flavour if you like your food swimming in old oil then you ll be ok ,refused a refund place has gone down hill drastically don t waste your money go to the three tuns where service and food is 10/10 and your made to feel welcome when you open the door to enter Unlike the reception you get when you finally navigate the sticky floor to reach the bar at wheelans in Uxbridge

If your face doesn t fit, they don t like you false advertising. They advertise karaoke till 2 am. It finished at 12. They push people in front of you when you ve been there since 6 o clock and it starts at 10 o clock when it s meant to start at 9 o clock on the website there very rude I would not go there again it s a bloody horrible place they also told us they don t do food when it clearly states on the website that they do. Unfortunately our faces just didn t fit and they re racist

Nice pub and decor, and famous in Uxbridge for their Guinness, however i was told quite abruptly to remove my cap as i walked in, which made all the other customers in the bar look at me(felt uncomfortable) After this the barperson did come across friendly and helpful. The only other thing I would mention is that staff are not recognisable since they arent wearing uniform. So imagine my surprise when a large man approached our table and reached his arm past me quite aggressively without saying a word, only then to find out he was just picking up our empty glasses. First impressions are important, and i feel this pub fell short. Parking: Shopping centre parking opposite but can only be accessed from the rear of the garage.

A few months ago I went to Whelans for a quick lunch. The ambience was friendly and I decided to have a chickpeas veg curry. I was really looking forward to it but sadly what I got was a bunch of vegetables in a sauce and the rice and a naan that asted horribly. I though initially I had just been unlucky and I just did not like the plate, then after leaving I remembered, there were not chickpeas at all in the plate. I dont know what they gave me, whatever it was, it was not the dish they advertise and it makes me question what they are serving their customers and if it is safe to eat there.

AVOID if you re going with a group. Went there tonight, entry is usually £5 but the short security guard with dark hair and with a foreign accent at the door didn t let us in unless we all payed £20 each. We confronted him about it and he got upset about that and he started to threaten us and said he will kill us this is not the first time hearing about the same security guard trying to bribe customers. Please sort it out

Security is asking in cash only £5 per person for the entrance. I think it is saying about everything by itself. One star.

Having been in your establishment for over 3 hours with my hat on then was told not to wear the hat as its against your policy Could this not been pointed out when I first ordered my drinks. I would have left. but to have sat there for over 3 hours and take my money then come over and tell me that... Definitely not be entering this establishment even again

Had a brilliant time there on a Friday night, was clean, staff friendly and the door staff were equally pleasant!

The bouncers will pick and select who they want to let in, with no reason at all. Have let plastered individuals in and will won t let certain people in due to their nationality.

A horribly run terrible pub . Don t bother coming . My brother in law with cerebral palsy was told he was too drunk to be served even though he was stone cold sober . He was shaken and visibly upset by his exclusion due to disability discrimination. If you are disabled they won t want your sort in here . Disgraceful!! Be sure to be Irish and able bodied if you re heading here for the evening

Terrible security staff on a ridiculous power trip. Was crazy to see how they dealt with paying customers! And the owner seemed too scared of them to step in. Wouldnt go near this place again!

A fabulous Irish pub. I stopped for a beer with a group of friends. As well as having some great decor and a good selection of beer (including guiness) the locals and bar staff where very pleasant. Felt very comfortable, would have been happy going with the family or as an individual.

Always friendly service and food never disappoints. Plenty of tvs if you want to watch h sport.

This pub is one of the best pubs in Uxbridge, period! There is a gentleman who overseas this pub and he is a true credit to this business and the soul of the place. The staff are friendly and courteous and the venue is absolutely brilliant. To surmise, great venue, great music, great service and a lovely mixed crowd to feel so comfortable in - whilst you enjpy your drink. Highly recommended!

Lovely little pub for a few afternoon drinks. Very friendly and polite staff.

Went in to watch the football on sky sports, bought a very nice Guinness or two, thoughlly enjoyed my visit, the landlord and staff are very friendly and welcoming, l would definitely take my family and friends there , the next time l visit Uxbridge.

The place is over crowded most nights and fights or trouble is regular on a Friday or Saturday night.

The security was so hard. They dont respect people. Even if you pay £5 pounds entry fee. I have no clue what is there needs. Higher officials plz educate bouncers how to treat people. Worst experience.

Don t bother going if you re not white. Partner not served for half an hour (despite others joining at the bar getting served straight away). Only one conclusion

So, clean glasses every time you order, simple menu, but food is of the highest order, well cooked and presented for a pub, prices tad bit high, but you pay for quality.. great bands at the weekends and all day sports streaming, and if you ask they will do bacon and cabbage

Watched all the football in the pub and will continue to do so until the end of the tournament, best beer in Uxbridge by a mile, great staff and decent grub, can watch the game from every angle in the pub due to the many screens and the sound quality is unreal, just like being in the stadium, the return of bands and live music will sound great with the system in place

Great pub and a great manger

My friends and I decided to visit here last weekend because of the live music. We were having a good time till the power-tripping bouncer threw my friend out for dancing. There were people from every table dancing at their area yet my friend was the only one who got picked on and thrown out. I was in the smoking area when this happened having left all my belongings at the table we were seated at. When I returned, there were six others at the table and the two drinks that I had left on it were gone. Needless to say, I was fuming and asked to speak to the manager. He lied through his teeth by saying my friend challenged the bouncer when he was told to stop dancing - the couple seated next to us told me that no such thing happened. He has the personality of a wall and he said to me there are 9 or 10 other bars on this street that you can go to!. Take it from me and the manager folks, choose another bar if youre in this area. This is a poor excuse for an Irish bar.

Its probably best place in uxb since loss of the treaty, size wise is only issue

Great spot for drinks and have some snacks to share alongside. Great to have also a proper chat without too mutch noise.

The security guy needs to recognise real ID from a fake. I showed him a real Italian driving license and he said that s a fake ID without having any scanner machine to check it.

Irish pub actually owned, run and staffed by Irish. Friendly. Proper drinkers bar with sport TV s to let men avoid remote control fights.

During the day it s a very nice spot to get some good food and drinks but be aware stay away from here post 10pm! The door staff have a superiority complex and won t look you in the eye when talking. Also they have a complete disregard to any sort of COVID safe-measures. Complete night and day to the sort of business ran depending on time visited

Place itself is alright but opening times on tuesday online says its till 2am but we have been asked in a very rude manner what I assume by manager toll skinny older guy... Almost shouting at one of my party member to leave before 11. We went there as we finished work and wanted to have few drinks. I guess we will have to go back to Green King

Visited UK and went to local pub. service, staff and food were very pleasant and felt like I was at home with my friends.

Great Sunday roast!!! I ordered the roast beef on Feb 9 2020 and was served a lovely full hot plate just like mom would make - really yummy!!! Definitely worth it!

Food was awful, waited over half an hour for a jacket pot and fish and chips, when they arrived they werent worth the wait. Fish and chips came with warm lettuce!! Not nice at all.

Absolutely awful experience refused entry because apparently a bouncer had dealt with me before!!!! Numerous times have been here and never no issues also like to point out no social distance or masks by these people on the door or by the manager shame on you all !

Called up in advance, told NO bookings. And like always door men say have you booked? Said we called and was told didnt need to. The response was sorry no booking no entry. So if you not a Regular, no entry wouldnt bother trying or going there.

Very rude staff

The pub has some pros - is situated in town centre and its interior is quite good. But on the other hand there are some essential CONS. Both service and menu are rather poor. I was here a couple of times, and every time the staff were not polite and friendly, I would even say they were passively aggressive. My last visit I ordered some food and the member of the staff brought me only fork without any napkin and put it right on the table, which was not cleaned by the way.

Great lunch and the staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. If youre a veggie try the grilled mushrooms with peppercorn sauce on Chiapata bread. Fully recommend this establishment.

Decent pub for live music but when there isnt any bands playing, its just your average, overpriced standard pub.
