Nonna Rosa in Uxbridge

Food was nice however we all said that the portions were very small and even though we had 3 courses we were still hungry after, for this reason I wouldn t go back again. The staff were very friendly and provided a great service.

We had our staff xmas meal at Nonna Rossa. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening with a choice of excellent dishes but the star of the show was Vincenzo who was looked after our large group extremely well.

Have been a reapeat customer at Nonna Rosa for years. Whilst the service can be a little slow at times when very busy and the atmosphere is sometimes too noisy for my liking, overall it is an excellent restaraunt with great pizza, pasta and entrees and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. It is one of our favourite restaurants and our favourite Italian. The hand filled ravioli is especially good, as is the sea bass, the stuffed mushrooms and the calamari. The pizza is one of the best weve had outside of Italy, only rivalled by Melisi in Ruislip. If you want great food and a good atmosphere you will find it at Nonna Rosa. Take-away is just as good, the food is well packaged and always the same high quality. Parking: High street parking is available but a lot of competition for spaces. Can take a while to find parking that is within a few minutes walk but a space can usually be found within 15 minutes. Paid for parking during the day, free at night. Kid-friendliness: First took our son there when he was about 2 years old and whilst we arent regulars, we have always been made to feel welcome over the last 12 years whether dining in or taking away.

We celebrated my daughter s 25th birthday at Nonarosa and it was a lovely experience.This was my second time dining here and once again, everything was exceptional. The food was incredibly authentic, bursting with flavour s that truly transported us. All four of us loved every dish we ordered. The staff were warm, welcoming and went out of their way to make our evening special. A particularly lovely touch was when they turned off the lights for the birthday cake presentation, with the entire restaurant joining in to sing, a memorable moment (even if my daughter might say otherwise !

TERRIBLE

There was an elderly gentleman who greeted us at the door and seated us, and made us feel welcome. He served us the whole evening and went above and beyond to make sure that our needs was met and we was happy. He was extremely helpful, polite, attentive and all round amazing asset to your business. Because of him and the amazing food, I will be back here for sure!

Vincento and his team gave excellent service tonight. We received lovely greetings on arrival and were immediately taken to our reserved table. It was our waitresses first week working there and she was friendly and polite, plus extra patient with us whilst ordering. Food was great and came out rapid and hot! Lovely experience, will definitely be returning soon!

What a quaint little place. In all the years I lived in the Hillingdon area, I never visited until now! First impression as I walked in.......beautiful little rustic place. Very spacious inside with a rooftop terrace. The food was amazing. The main meal was a good size portion, but we added mozzerella dough balls with it. These were good for sharing. Staff are friendly and very polite, happy to box up any leftovers. Loved this place, we will be visiting again, need to try a dessert!

Nice cosy place serving amazing Italian food. Due to located on high street there is no parking however after 6:30 there are no restrictions ro park. If you struggle to get space you can use paid parking at nearby shopping centre.

Lovely food. The manager, who I remember from. My evenings next door, was knowledgeable for all of the menu. The new waitress was being trained and was great. Service was a tad slow but overall the food made up for it. Food was a plenty. It was packed on a Tuesday night in October, so book ahead!

False advertising. Some of the cocktails on the menu are buy one get one free on a Saturday but when you order them, you just get what you paid for. Call the restaurant and they wouldn t do anything about it. Food

Came in as a party of 15 for our mums birthday, what a wonderful experience from start to finish, cannot fault anything, we booked late due to a change of plan last minute but was still all catered for without question, our waitress Harriet was absolutely amazing, she was rush off her feet all evening yet still went above and beyond for us! My recent visit to Nonna Rosa Italian Restaurant in Uxbridge was exceptional. The moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The food is amazing as always and the server was very friendly and made a few jokes which made the experience even better. Calamari Fritti is good and the Rissoto is great.

I decided to place an order based on the good reviews. While I understand that the quality of home delivery can sometimes differ from dining at the restaurant, I was quite disappointed with the food I received. The garlic bread and pizza were extremely hard and dry, though still somewhat edible. Unfortunately, the gnocchi ended up in the bin. It was a combination of gnocchi, overcooked broccoli, peas, and canned tomatoes that hadn t been properly prepared. It felt as though the ingredients were just thrown together without any care or seasoning. Regrettably, I won t be ordering from here again.

This is a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant which we stumbled across. Will definitely return when we are next in Uxbridge.

The food is amazing, however, if you want to dine in a sauna, this is the place. Its a shame you cant afford air conditioning in such a lovely setting.

I choose an Italian restaurant because of my confidence in the Italian restaurant, both in terms of food quality and service attitude. From the feeling of stepping into this restaurant, I already know their situation, because everyone I see is always smiling. As a result, I was satisfied with the food, so I asked him to introduce three more Italian desserts!

I was not impressed when the calamari was super tough. And then found a bone on my pizza.

We ordered our meals my daughter s meal was wrong she told them to change it, they changed it again but still not right the 3rd time was right. The meals where ok not much to write home about.

Dining out doesn t get much better than this! Really impressive main and awesome desserts!

The most wonderful evening thanks to the amazing people and food! I was on a date with my partner and it was magical. The food was incredible! He wanted carbonara without pancetta (hes veggie) and then came out and offered him so many other options to have with it instead. I had the gnocchi and it was to die for. The dough balls to start were filled with cheese and omg they are huge! We had ice cream and cheesecake for dessert which again did not disappoint! They were perfect size to finish off an incredible meal. The drink menu looks limited however they can make you anything from the bar with spirits. We had 2 cocktails which were delicious and lemon chello on the house, thank you so much for that! The staff were incredibly friendly and the whole atmosphere was perfect. I will tell all my friends and family to go here and I will definatley be coming back

Had a fabulous lunch with colleagues who had travelled from all over the uk. The service was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble and they were able to meet the dietary needs of all the guests. I highly recommend the sea bass, the best authentic Italian I ve had in years.

Went out with my partner for some friday night dinner felt like a celebrity, ellie and vince looked after us all night giving lemenchello shots and cleaning my table just as i finish told me all about my wine and the right one to go with my food would definitely return for a really boujee family dinner at a low cost

The best lasagna weve had in London! Amazing consistency, fresh ingredients, and bursting with flavour! I think we have like around 7 years having this lasagne Al forno and its unbeatable, definitely worth it

We went there for a celebratatory dinner with our family. They were amazingly accomodating, great service and great food with sizeable portions. No complaints - would definitely come again.

We went for Mother s Day dinner, the food was exquisite especially the Rosemary Ciabatta and the bread and olives. The bruschetta was nice but was a bit flat. The mains of Mushroom Risotto, Mussels, Calzone and Spicy chicken was hot, delicious and hearty. Topped of with Vanilla Pannacotta and Limoncello cheesecake was just supreme.

Was out for my 55th birthday and wife booked Nonna Rosa. Not been here before and menu looked good, especially the specials. Top authentic Italian food. Had calamari with home-made Tartare sauce and home-made chilli sauce, and for main had the sea bass (cooked to perfection). For dessert had Tiramisu (very nice but still does not top the Tiramisu I had from Trevi in South Kensington). Only slight complaint was that the restaurant was a bit cold and draughty. Food and Service was top.

Really lovely experience eating here. The food was very good. I was totally blown away by the pizza and garlic bread with cheese. The seafood linguini was also excellent. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back. The portion sizes were genrous, fresh, and tasty. They were also very attentive to my friends dietary/allergen needs, which made us feel welcome and catered for. The staff were friendly and helpful. They get extra kudos for getting me a bowl of sliced chillies as I do like a spicy kick to my food. They also gave me two other chilli condiments, so I thoroughly appreciated the service. I dont remember his name, unfortunately, but the gentleman serving us mentioned he was originally from Paris. Thank you For looking after my group.

A nice Italian restaurant that embodies. The food was good- nut gourmet but more home good. The service was excellent for British service if you know what I mean. The guy was very nice and knowledgeable.

The lady on reception at ARRI London Stage around the corner recommended Nonna Rosa s and we were very pleased! It was a bit quiet for a Friday afternoon but a very cute and stylish place to eat. We had olives, bruschetta, seafood linguine and a mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious and the prices weren t too bad either!

Very cosy restaurant with lovely food. Customer service was outstanding, they went above and beyond. We celebrated my dads birthday, waiters surprised him with candle lit cake and sang happy birthday. It has made his day, Thank you! We definitely will be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Amazing food and atmosphere. The pizzas are some of the best Italian pizzas I ve had and full of flavour and soul. The white bait was delicious as was the rosemary oil & balsamic dip. One of the best Italian restaurants I ve been to in the area. would definitely recommend!

Heard good stroies about this place so went to see. We have been waiting so long even for a drinks, not mention refill etc, food was ok but nothing special. Maybe just went on in of these wrong days

Took a client here for a lunch and the food was wonderful, atmosphere was great and the team where accommodating allowing us to have the table half hour earlier. Definitely will be coming back! Vegetarian options: Had the goats cheese and roasted vegetables salad it was delicious!

Ordered food for collection, on arrival the staff were friendly. ALTHOUGH . Ordered mushroom risotto. It was mush. Un-edible. I m sorry to be brutally honest but that was unacceptable. If an Italian restaurant cannot make a simple mushroom risotto, Something is seriously wrong. although My partners ordered a ribeye steak it was nice although peppercorn sauce was more like a gravy.

Great place for some delicious Italian good. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Very good portions that are well presented and taste great. Since portions are large, staff will also let you box up and take home what you dont finish so you can even enjoy the delicious left overs later. All around its a great experience and worth stopping in and dining when you are in the Uxbridge area.

I got the salmon pasta - the food was fresh and tasty. The portion sizes are huge, the deep fried mozerella balls have a delicious cheese pull and are accompanied with a garlic aioli . The kids menu include a pizza or pasta dish with ice cream. The staff were so friendly and I had leftovers for lunch! I would definitely come again

First time visit. Enjoyed my birthday lunch with wife and our 2 children. The team at Nonna Rosa provided an exceptional service. They were absolutely wonderful, engaging and thoughtful throughout. Oh, and the food was great too. We loved it! Kid-friendliness: The staff engaged with our 8 and 9 yo really well.

Absolutely LOVE this place! I have been here many times over the 4 years I ve lived in Uxbridge and always bring any visitors here as well and all love it. The food is just perfect, lots of Italian choices and specials and I haven t had a bad dish to date. The photos depict a range of the dishes. The service is very attentive and friendly and I feel you get what you pay for. Would highly recommend.

The third experience in Nonna Rosa was again 5 stars. Excellent customer service and some great food mixed with a warm ambience. Ordered whitebait, garlic prawns and garlic bread for starters which were good. The whitebait was particularly good, crispy and delicious. Ordered a Diavolo pizza, which was spot on as were the pasta dishes, king prawn linguini and penne with Tuscan sausage. The cocktails were very creative and delicious. Papa Mario was refreshing as was the passion fruit one, but the La Sorello was the best. Many thanks for the very thoughtful and warm service, truly outstanding

Our recent interactions have left a bad taste in my mouth, especially with the white British manager. I recently hosted my leaving do at Nonnas after years of being a regular - they had us order from a set menu which was fine but drinks were not included which was fine again but they had no way of splitting the bill according to each person. After politely trying to ask them to see if theres a way, the white British manager comes up to me and goes Im the manager so you listen to me. Things here have to go my way. Regardless, after spending about 600 pounds there in a single night, I find out they charged us for an extra tiramisu that was meant to be included in the set menu prices. I go back the next day to ask for a refund - mind you, after years of being a regular - the white British manager starts an interrogation with the staff and follows my husband out as he tries to leave. Eventually he agrees to a refund of 7 pounds and asks me to send my bank details to him in an e-mail. I do so but they have been radio silent since, I dont reckon they have any intentions of fixing the bill or refunding any amount - the worst thing however, is how we have been treated as customers despite giving them so much of our business and marketing this place to all our friends. Terrible managerial service and we dont intend to go back ever again.

The duck was absolutely disgusting. The skin was soggy and tough and the meat was arid. We had an order of lamb that lacked all seasoning and also had the texture of jerky. The only redeeming quality was the minute amount of mint sauce they provided which was barely enough for one piece of lamb. I give them 2 stars for food because the mussels were delicious which stood in stark contrast to everything else we ate there.

If you are looking for a cozy place to have some excellent cocktails, this is the place. They will give nice recommendations for drinks. Their pesto is really refreshing. Other food items average.

The drinks were refreshing. One must try their cocktails. Also, staff is really helpful if you need any help to choose your drink. We ordered bruschetta and pasta. Bruschetta was delicious but we didnt like pasta. It was not that good. But I will surely visit this place for their cocktails.

We recently hosted a Christening lunch event at this restaurant and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The level of service we received was incredibly accommodating and attentive. The venue provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for our special occasion. We booked the 2nd floor and made custom decors for the event. Food was top-notch! We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff especially to Alex for making our Christening event so memorable. We highly recommend this place for any special occasions or gatherings.

Went here for late lunch/early dinner. We did not book so we were lucky to get a table, so I recommend doing this. Staff were friendly and the food came out promptly. The food was delicious! I will definitely come here again in the future and try other dishes

Went there for dinner this evening in Uxbridge and the service (and food) was excellent. We turned up just before closing, but the manager and the rest of the staff were still extremely welcoming and speedy with the service, despite their shifts being nearly over. The manager even went over to one table struggling with a selfie angle to help them take some photos

We have dined here many times before and the service is usually pretty good but on this occasion we had a terrible experience before we even sat down. One of us asked to use the toilet and the bar man was happy for this - half way up the stairs she was met with a hostile and rude manager who not only stopped her and said for customers only but then proceeded to say she could use the MacDonalds toilet!! Was it that serious?!?! Why tell us to leave? We have eaten here numerous times in the past but they have now lost us as customers. Poor management.

Newly moved to the area but v pleasant experience. I have been here twice before and gets better every time Wonderful attentive service with good food. Really appreciated the service and helpfulness of the waiter (wish I remembered his name!) It was a very very hot day and the slightly dated interior and lack of air-conditioning/ ventilation made the heat almost unbearable The food was very tasty -glad to have a good local to rely on.

Good food and service. They have a happy hour from 9.00pm to 9.45pm.

My family of 4 adults had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday evening dinner. It was great to experience a friendly family run restaurant rather than an impersonal chain.

I feel the place is not overly great compared to the last time we visited We asked the man with the glasses to remove the service charge and he literally picked up the receipt aggressively Food is not bad but definitely needs some more flavours and the drinks were lovely but unfortunately we wont be returning due to the rude Management

Visited yesterday with friends. Starters were ok. Mains was terrible. Ordered a variation of pastas. Was full of chunky tomatos no herbs Or seasoning totally bland taste. We would have been better off eating mac n cheese out of a can. Have been here previously and it wasnt bad. Chef needs to taste food before it goes out. Very disappointed. Will not be coming again.

We have eaten at Nona Rosa for many years always a go to for special occasion, last night was the only time it was ever less than a five star evening. We were greeted with have you come with friends? When it was established it was just a booking for 2 there was a voluble discussion that as we were only two people we couldn t sit in the main restaurant and needed to go up stairs - it was al a bit uncomfortable and felt like we were putting the host out. Food was mediocre -and ready so fast I could almost hear the ping . We were seated upstairs where the tables are almost touching and the free entertainment is watching the queue for the toilet! The noise was terrible. The saving grace was the attentive and friendly waitress staff who couldn t do enough. We will be back but not upstairs and not on a Friday! Parking: Great parking

The food was really delicious. The service was quick. One of my favourite dining option in Uxbridge.

The food served here is generously portioned, and the service is excellent. Unfortunately, what really lets it down for me is the lack of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant. The toilet located on the 1st floor was rather appalling, as there was no hand soap in the dispensers. I think a restaurant with a 4.4 star rating ought to take more care with their premises.

Its difficult for an Italian to find quality food in the UK. Not from Grandma Rosa. For the first time I left satisfied. I will definitely come back next time.

Went to nonna rosa on saturday evening for dinner with my husband. Everytime weve been here weve had a great meal & this time was no exception. We started with the mussels & whitebait which we shared & was delicious. Hubby had a chicken main & I had seafood risotto (best ive ever tasted!), both fantastic. We had a bottle of house red to accompany our meal which was lovely & jug of water was provided without having to ask. Didnt have a dessert as was too full but totally satisfied. We sat upstairs, it was nice & a chilled atmosphere. Service was excellent, our waitress was friendly & professional. It really is a lovely place to eat Italian food & would definitely recommend.

Booked Xmas meal for 5 ladies on 10th Nov for Thurs 7th Dec. 3 course Xmas meal advertised as £27.50 p.p (we still have screenshot of this) we booked and paid £10 deposit p.p. On arrival on 7th Dec we were told the Xmas meal was in fact £37.00 p.p. when we queried this and said we had booked it on the fact it was advertised as £27.50 pp we were told that must have been old information on website and it was now £37 pp. Really!! Didnt think you should have offered us the original price as good will gesture at all??? Very shocked you didnt make any offer at all to us considering it was a mistake on your website!? Having said that the food was lovely but then we got the bill not only did you not offer us a goodwill gesture, you also forgot to deduct the £50 deposit we had already paid! Such a shame as seemed a lovely atmospheric place but ruined by this bad customer service

I order the same thing on deliveroo for the past few months. Calamari fritti and Margherita. Is a bit of a hit and miss with their food. Sometimes is cooked to perfection, other times calamari are just chewy, stale, hard and pizza has something that resembles cheese.

The service and atmosphere was good. The restaurant is, in fact, in a historic building. But I was disappointed by the food. I am glad I didnt have to pay for the food (I was there as a part of a paid-for Christmas dinner.) Having lived and traveled extensively in Italy for two years, I know what real Italian food tastes like. In this case, the bruschetta was soggy and the tortelli was overcooked. So it was a really disappointing experience food-wise.

Booked for a group of 10 of us. The blonde waitress was so miserable from start to finish and ruined our experience. The food took a while to arrive but it tasted ok however the next morning most of us have now got diarhhea and bad stomach pains.

Had a party of 10 booked for this restaurant recently. Food tasted okay but a few hours later the majority of us had upset stomachs. Have seen similar reviews of this in the past which indicates food not being fresh. The young waitress who served us clearly didnt want to be there as her attitude was shocking. I get we are all human and have off days but her attitude has a negative reaction on your resturant and other tables noticed it after observing. However we tried to ignore it as we wanted to have an enjoyable night. Food took over a hour to come, but once we mentioned about not paying for the OPTIONAL service charge of over 40 pounds, the manager (who came with the card machine) mood towards us changed completely. He then mentioned We work for the service charge but its okay if you dont want to pay for it and didnt even ask why we felt the service wasnt great. He then walked away, took the bill and recalculated it and came back and was clearly unhappy with us. Overall the level of service reflects throughout the team, and they seem very defensive when customers explain why they are not happy with the service. We asked a waiter to take a picture of us and his response was IM BUSY. Looking at the reviews I would expect the resturant to respond with a reasonable response around why 7 of us have had upset stomachs since eating at your resturant and why they believe anyone would want to pay for the OPTIONAL sevice charge with the way we were treated by your staff from start to finish.
