54 Windsor St, Uxbridge UB8 1AB, United Kingdom
We are the Queens Head and we are the best place to watch sport in Uxbridge! Our atmosphere is lively and comfortable and we have a great selection of beers and drinks. Our beer garden is the perfect place to relax and watch the game with your mates. We are family friendly and welcome everyone to come and enjoy the game with us! We also have a great menu full of pub classics, there's something for everyone at the Queens Head.
Just spent a couple of very pleasant hours in a pub called the Queens Head in Uxbridge. This young man, called Sam, single handedly coped with a vast amount of customers. Not a single complaint or cross word from anyone. Well done Sam.
Loveliest place for a Sunday roast. I always come here with my friends and have a great time. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, plus the menu has lots of options. The Sunday roast is the best I have ever had and their vegetarian option is great too. If I have to pick a restaurant for a Sunday meal, this is defintely my first option! Great job ❤️
This is the best pub in Uxbridge as per our opinion. It has the quaint charm that can make one relax and enjoy a pint and a warm meal. As the name suggests, the pub is filled with images of Anne Boleyn’s head, a clear nod to the tragic fate of the queen, whose head was involuntarily separated from her body. Moving on to the food—while most of it was good, the bao was a bit disappointing. We were expecting the traditional steamed buns, but instead, we were served baked baos, which didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall we will come here again but won't order any food that is some kind of fusion food. This is a must visit.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Queens Head for a quick drink, and what truly made the experience memorable was the outstanding service from the staff Bliss behind the bar. From the moment I stepped in, I felt immediately at ease. Bliss was not only quick to serve but also created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Bliss remained attentive, ensuring that every customer was taken care of with a smile. It was clear that the staff genuinely cared about their guests, which made all the difference. The comfort I felt while enjoying my drink wasn’t just due to the cozy ambiance of the pub itself, but also the friendly service that made me feel like a regular, even on my first visit. Even though there are 3 other pubs nearby, if you're looking for a place where you can unwind and feel comfortable from the moment you walk in, this is the spot to be. Highly recommended!!
The food was fantastic and liked their service and the lady on bar is so nice
Lovely place for relaxing drink with some snacks. We went for a walk and ended up here 😀 Friendly staff and plenty of seating area. Fried chicken tasted okay, drinks were better.
Lovely place, very good quality food. Fish and chips great tastes. We enjoyed it and I recommend it.
It was my first visit and we planned to have dinner at The Queens Head as we had family visiting from Scotland, and they were staying at a hotel close by. They arrived earlier than the Ruislip diners, and were warmly greeted by the chef who they were absolutely delighted by. The barman was fabulous. Very helpful serving up copious amounts of Desperados to the guys. He also gave great advice with regards to food choice and even though he himself does not eat pie, he still gave it a big thumbs up saying that everyone who consumes it, really enjoys it. That was my choice. No two requested the same dish so we had a chance to look at at least more than six dishes on the table, including some of your sharing platter nibbles, of which the haloumi was rated 12/10. Your portions were rated value for money and absolutely delicious. Plan was to enjoy the sticky toffee pudding but nobody had space in their tums by the time the mains were devoured. All plates clean but one and that is because she is partially sighted and the dish overwhelmed her. She did however enjoy it at home the next evening. All together a fantastic experience. Our Scottish visitors snuck back in when we drove back to Ruislip, for an extra nightcap - we thought a coffee maybe, but no - it was a wee bit stronger than that. We will be back definitely. That halloumi is calling my name... Consumed at the table: Scampi, Fish n chips, steak n ale pie, bacon cheese burger and the three sharing plates - cod goujons, halloumi and Karaage Sticky Chicken plus three portions of onion rings!
Friendly, old fashioned pub. Bar staff are very good
Nice staff, got a table that sat 8 people, at 7.30pm.
Best pub for estella galicia
Quiet and friendly pub!
Nice night out
Best bacon and cheese burger Ive ever had. It was my first time in Uxbridge and the staff made me feel welcomed here. Very friendly indeed.
popped in unexpectedly. Really fantastic atmosphere. They were raising money for MacMillan nurses. Delicious food. Brilliant landlady. Im definitely going back one day
Lone female felt very welcome and safe. Lovely friendly atmosphere, the staff and locals love to chat and make you feel very welcome. Great value for money. I did not eat so cannot comment but the food looked lovely. Will definitely return
Best food and atmosphere in town asked for no chilli and extra spring onion and they were willing to accommodate me
Had a great night for my birthday!! Staff are friendly and welcoming. Went above and beyond to go out and buy pineapple juice so I could have one of their awesome Cherry Bakewell cocktails!! Highly recommend and I will be going back soon!!
Amazing place with amazing staff!! Bliss was wonderful so kind and funny!
Tasty Sunday roast, the service memorable. Lovely bubbly lady serving 10 out of 10
Fish and Chips was excellent. You get a big size Cod and nice and fresh. Batter must be beer batter as it tasted fab
Amazing staff and atmosphere, always very welcoming. The barmaids are a pleasure to talk and laugh with and they give their very best to make sure youre happy.
Order mac and cheese with bacon, it was really tasty. The pub was quite but the atmosphere was still buzzing. The ladies working on the bar and kitchen were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this pub to go for a lovely meal and chat with the staff. Vegetarian options: They have a different range of vegetarian food which was nice to see even though Im not a vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu available that I noticed on the table.
Amazing food great service. Highly recommended.. Ill certainly be back!!
Delicious food at a good price, clean and fast service, tiny pub with good choice of music and entertainment. Spent good few hours watching the tv in a not so loud ambience and there is also a choice of table games. Lovelly.
A group of 9 of us visited for dinner after a walk. We pre booked and ordered our food in advance. The food and the service were fabulous. We had a variety of the dishes on the menu and they were all lovely. Holly (I think was her name) has a print out of our menu choices and the food was served really quickly. I would highly recommend.
Nice pleasant staff, nice atmosphere. Menu looked good. Food
After recently moving back to Uxbridge, myself and a couple friends decided to go on the hunt for a new local. Whilst trying out a few of the local pubs in the high street we realised we wanted something a little more off-high street. Going back to the queens head after many years I quickly realised how unwelcome we felt. Whilst my friend had already had a couple pints - decided she would get some fresh air and wait outside whilst I finished my pint. The barmaid took it upon herself to (quite loudly) mock my friend to other regulars and have them laugh at her (18.07.24 evening). This made me feel incredibly awkward and upset that my friend was the laugh of the pub despite not appearing too drunk and sensibly taking herself away from the pub. After comments such as she s gonna squat in the door in a minute and look at the state of it (not listing some due to being public and rude) were made I visited a new pub. Later walking past of course the barmaid was the loudest laugh when regulars started to mock me and appear extremely drunk and confrontational. Not being a massive drinker this definitely put me off from visiting there again. Would love to return as I have been to this pub before years ago, I wouldn t feel welcome at all.
The service is amazing!!!Bliss is the best!!
Amazing Service ... thx to Bliss - Best Manager Ever - absolute amazing lunch ... (Baie dankie)
Crazy parties are always here!
Lovely staff and atmosphere, Sarah and Holly are amazing!
Fantastic food great cost and lovely staff
Amazing staff, fantastic service, and a good community for drinks and food.
Great pub, I ve gone to it for years, always had amazing service. Last time I was there I remember Holly was great, felt like she always knew when my glass was empty and to ask me for my next drink.
The lady who worked behind the bar was fabulous and deserves a £50 Pounds voucher to buy her self something beautiful
Beautiful traditional pub with great ales and good food backed with super friendly service. Thanks.
Visited several times 2022 23 as a tourist,my fav pub this far. Good food, great decor, nice music, you can meet dogs, nice staff Great memories
Its now my regular watering hole when leaving work ... The 3 small plates for £14.50 has some amazing options, try the karaage chicken!! Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible
What a great pub! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was by far the best pub food Ive ever had. It was also so reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
all round great local pub, great staff experience, polite and couldn t be more attentive to our needs. will definitely be returning and definitely recommend. especially holly!
Great experience all round from food staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend me and my daughter really enjoyed our time spent here.
Not tried the food. Friendly atmosphere in this town centre pub. Parking: Multi storey car parks nearby. 3-4 minutes walk. Service : 5/5 |
Only had service for drinks I was served by Aaron hes absolutely amazing a compliment to your establishment will be back again!
Lovely traditional pub .
Great pub, always worth a visit... Very British
A lovely pub with great food by Chef José, on a quiet road leading from Uxbridge s main pedestrian square. And extremely friendly and efficient bar tending and service by Fátima and Bliss. Will surely visit again.
Everything is best. Thanks for everything and merry Christmas too you and everyone else with you
Didnt score food as didnt eat here. Pub is cosy small town center pub with good choice of beers, TV with sports. Various sitting areas. Food
Very nice pub in the centre of uxbridge. We had our Christmas dinner here and it was very good. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Good atmosphere but quite small inside.
Went there for lunch. Very disappointed as not everything on the menu was available. Also there was very little filling in the pie I had, & the whole meal seemed to have been reheated, not freshly cooked. It was lukewarm as was the coffee. Would certainly never either eat there again or recommend to anyone!
Highly recommend a visit, fantastic food and service
Nice setting, great bar staff, Guinness top class
Most expensive pub in Uxbridge now for drink, but worst I ve ever had. Cheaply bought wine obviously and staff seemed to have a problem with their customer service if a problem was raised.
Proper pub, been a few times unfortunately last time we went the place stank of sewage so we left after one drink, not sure why.
Very nice pub. Menu great food quality fantastic. Staff absolutely friendly. Children friendly also.
I love this pub, its very cosy. Staff are always friendly.
This is a very old pub and has an atmosphere synonymous with the inns of the olde worlde. They serve good ales and accept CAMRE membership cards for a discount. Pleasant staff and clientele.
Good quality, award winning Greene King pub that has been part of the town for centuries. Watch out for the low ceilings if tall!
Tonight, Mon 9th Jan tried to order a meal at 7 10pm only to be told kitchen closes 7pm in January.!! NO noticevin pub and menus still on display - very poor customer service
Typical British restaurant bar. All made of wood and with a queen theme. It has a very unique decoration, all related to the monarchy of King Henry VIII. Very cozy and very varied menu and everything is delicious!!! A super nice girl helped us, she gave us a taste of beer, since they offer a wide range of these and we couldnt decide. Without a doubt, highly recommended and I will definitely repeat if I return to Uxbridge. (I recommend the apple pie)
Green King pub. Nice pub very close to the town center and high Street. About 2 minutes walk from the station. Plenty of screens for TV viewing. Good service and decent food. Not too expensive either. It was very empty when we visited on Sunday evening.
Nice friendly staff and it has a nice decor
Friendly and welcoming team. Bonus for us was no tvs showing sports! A quiet drink with friends, without shouting above the TV
Amazing staff, very friendly, brilliant atmosphere. The pub is the oldest in Uxbridge got a lot of history. The food is always at high standards.
Standard town centre boozer
Beautiful pub old pub, friendly staff who go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible or find a compromise that suits everybody. Charming chef. Beautiful rustic decor. Even a lovely crowd of regulars ready with a smile and a joke. Well worth a visit.
Great little pub with a nice atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and they have a great selection of beers and spirits. The food was good with a fair amount of variety on the menu
Great town centre pub. Nice atmosphere. Good selection of beers
Great value, between 4 and 7pm, Peroni pt buy 1, get one free. Works out less £4 a pt. Amazing value. Quizz night needs a bit of tweak though.
Clean place, cold drinks, the food was fine. If you are in the area, I recommend you spot in for a drink, etc etc.
Lovely little pub great service
Decent Greene King pub close to Uxbridge Station. Four cask beers on handpump when I last visited. The name of the pub commemorates Henry VIIIs second wife Anne Boleyn who was, of course, beheaded for treason!
I came here to queens head in Uxbridge, but wasn t able to eat due to the kitchen being closed, the waitress was kind and apologetic and recommended we go to the next pub. I filled out my questionnaire on the market research platform and that was that, no issues or problems. The next day or so the manager calls me(a misuse of my phone number, she shouldn t be calling my personal number) and screams at me down the phone, accusing my partner of harassing her staff, saying she has cctv of us doing this and that I put a bad review. This was simply not true as we left after we found out there was no food, and we defo did not say anything to staff. I literally begged her to believe that I wouldn t or didn t do this and she kept shouting at me to take it down. I was so so shocked, it felt so unjust as we hadn t done anything. She made a mistake as she thought it was us when it wasn t, but my god she believed she was right. I really hope she watched the cctv properly and saw that we left and barely spoke to the waitress, and when we did, we were polite! The manager did not believe me one bit and continued screaming at me, telling me she has me on cctv and knows my partners name is Gary or something. (Which it isn t). I swear to her that this isn t the case. I had to use all my skills to de-escalate the situation and was shaking with anxiety. I felt sick. I ve got to say she will stand up for her staff really well which is great to see, but the audacity and rudeness to scream at customers and call their personal number was so so unprofessional. I am scared to go back here and had to block her number because I couldn t deal with her screaming. I cried so much after this call and it really really shook me. I think other people would ve hung up on her straight away after that treatment.
Just WOW! I could not be more impressed with this establishment if I tried!! Me and my friend came for some drinks and food and we re welcomed immediately by a warm smile and hello! The team was so welcoming and made our experience top tier straight away. We had some drinks- which were very reasonably priced.. especially when you compare to the other pubs that are next door! We ordered some of the Mix & Share plates which were so delicious!!! Perfect for sharing- Really good portion sizes so you could also have 1 or 2 of them to yourself for a main meal! They had a quiz night running which seemed so fun! We arrived a little late so didn t join in but Wish we did! I saw a sign that they have karaoke on every friday which a member of the bar team told us about how fun they are and we will definitely be here on friday to see for ourselves! I genuinely can t get over how wonderful this little pub was.. I m sure many people would just walk past but I cannot urge you enough.. Go In!!!!!! You will not be disappointed! 5 Stars from me.. and I will absolutely be Back!
No food till 5, no display to say so. What a waste of time looking
I love this pub oldest in Uxbridge. Great staff. Can be quiet in the week but busy weekends. A great locals pub
Old place with nice atmosphere and great service
Had some great meals here. Wonderful little pub with excellent service.
Great pub with a very friendly crowd of people. Would definitely go back.
Traditional pub, nice staff and probably the best pint of Guinness in Uxbridge.
Ales were old and not drinkable :(
Fantastic food and great atmosphere!
Such a classical British Pub perfect to hang out with friends, the staff is lovely. As a vegan I highly recommend the vegan nuggets
Really nice pub in the heart of Uxbridge. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Ideal for a quite drink with friends. The food is also really nice in an affordable price for students (20% discount).
Pub was dirty no real ale empty glasses everywhere shame was a great pub
Great staff and great food
Enjoyed the food
Ok. Life is what you make it. Not much atmosphere. Barmaid could of helped us with a selfie but instead watched us being silly!
Cute, rustic interior pub with welcoming staff.
Great, friendly service and a wide array of delicious vegetarian options. The beyond sliders were fantastic, and prices good.
Try the alcohol with food.. It is awesome here.... Reasonable price and good staff
Brilliant as always. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Its always a treat to come in here and its one of the coziest pubs in Uxbridge.
Visited here on a Thursday afternoon, and despite the pub not being busy, they served a perfect pint of Black Sheep that hadnt been sat in the line for hours.
Welcoming crowd, same for bar staff. Well kept beer and ales. Great karaoke every other Friday - one of those systems that has almost any song you can think of, sound settings are very forgiving.
Nice cosy pub with character , polite friendly bar staff , pub tucked away off the main street , I will be back as Arnie says
Young girl behind the bar very pleasant. Nothing too much trouble. That counts alot in these times for some people have forgot the meaning of service will be back next time down from Scotland also accepted money without any bother believe it or not that means a lot thankyou

Quaint and family friendly with good service and a smile.
A fantastic oldy worlds pub that feels like a find... Had a great drink and enjoyed the ambiance. :)
Food was okay (chicken wings not great). Annoying music due to all tvs being independent creating a constant echo. Best point was the friendly service.
Lovely friendly pub, nice atmosphere, good cider.

Sound pub great for food and watching the footy
Cosy old pub by the station. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that (on Saturday 30 July) many of the tables were dirty and had empty glasses on them and werent being cleaned even when new customers were coming in.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!
Its a lovely old pub but recently it smells of urine as soon as you walk in..its very off putting
One of if not the oldest public House in Uxbridge Middlesex
Nice pub
Great place for food .. always pleasant staff. Nothing to complain about here :-) good service.
Went in for a sandwich and drink whilst shopping on 27th August, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, I paid just over £30 for a bottle or prosecco, fish finger sandwich (which had 5 homemade strips of freshly battered fish) chicken and bacon sandwich (had a whole chicken breast on it!) and a bowl of chips which by todays standards is relatively cheap. Everything was delicious and bar lady was really lovely too. Will definitely go again when Im next down those ways.
Typical English Pub, nice atmosphere, food very good.
Lovely meal and very helpful staff
Popped in for a quick drink on the way to get the train, a lovely little pub with a good choice of beers. The staff were so welcoming and had a great rapport with the customers that came in! I ll definitely visit again!
Lovely food
Not sure how to reply but Ill give it a go. Not been in Uxbridge for a while due to COVID-19. Pub was shut on my last shopping visits so I cant criticise for that at all. Initially only popped in for one or two but the professionalism of the staff extended my stay. A good pub is all about the how you are welcomed and the staff running the bar. When staff know what they are doing and seemingly value your custom then that really goes the extra mile. The girls are a credit to the pub. STILL THE SAME 28/10/2022
VERY NICE PLACE!
I really like this pub. Low ceilings in an old historic building leads to a nice atmosphere. Quick and efficient bar service too.
We love the staff and the place. Highly recommended to go for a drink and food.
Superb Pub
Great little sports bar....
Lovely little pub
Delicious burger, regret all the shots this morning but the service was incredible and the drinks were a good price.

Great friendly staff. Compliments to the chef well be back for another lunch! It was delicious
Great and friendly barstaff and a nice cold bottle of Budweiser
The best pub in Uxbridge.Fact.Always good with a friendly welcome.
Good food
Popped in here for a Sunday roast dinner and it was fantastic. Firstly, it was such a warm welcome from the team and when the food turned up wow ! The meat was tender, the roast potatoes were cooked to perfection and the gravy was so good. The portion sizes were great however it meant I was too full for desert which was a shame as they looked amazing, so I ll definitely have to head back another time!
Nice bar
Lovely little place for a quiet gin and cider
Stunning food amazing staff bar manager Martin welcoming and professional
Good location (nr shops & transport links) decent service from Emma/ Martin/ Holly warm welcoming and accomodating

Nice place, great staff and amazing drinks
Friendly staff, poor beer offering, slow service, wont be back.
I love the Christmas time and especially in Old English Pubs full of Christmas Spirit, decorated very nice and traditional with GREAT CHRISTMAS TREE !!! Food was very nice as well
It was busy when we went but were still given plenty of time, attention and care from the staff. Really enjoyed the visit and will return again soon
Good helpful staff, nice Christmas decorations, beer good
A friendly, historic pub in Uxbridge, the Queens Head has been a staple of Windsor Street for a long time. I visited for a quick drink while waiting for someone, and found the team there to be friendly and helpful, and while there was only one ale (Green King IPA) available, it was served with a smile and tasted good. I did see food coming out of the kitchen, which looked and smelt good, but didnt have the opportunity to try any. The pub has low beams, and isnt enormous, but didnt feel too packed early on a Friday evening.
Lovely little tudor pub. Exposed beams, low ceilings. Real homely feel local pub.
Lovely helpful staff
Very nice old world pub ,staff very nice good manager.worth a second visit.
Since reopening excellent staff excellent food
Best PIES!!! If you want a BRILLIANT atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic Ale (& beer)... then this pub is the place to visit. The beamed ceilings add such a cosy feeling - you may never leave! And if it s authentic British Pie you re looking for THIS IS THE PLACE! I ordered a mouth watering STEAK & ALE PIE and there were a few other choices. The owner was in and when he found out they didn t have mash ... and I really wanted mash with my pie he actually walked to the neighbouring pub and got me Mash with a smile?!!! The service and experience is always soooooo great here. That s why it s one of my favourite spots!
Excellent pub food good and friendly staff
Cosy small place and I come here because the Guinness is perfect. Not sure about food after one sitting - jurys out.
Nices ales and authentic place.
Good atmosphere - I like the look of this place.
We were over from jersey channel island had a few drinks and something to eat fantastic food really enjoyed it and very friendly nice little pub
Fabulous home cooked food, nothing frozen. Excellent friendly staff. Highly recommended
This is the second time recently I have been in a Queens Head in 40 years I know things have changed a little bit but this is my second visit and being a real ale fan I find the ale and the price is brilliant tonight I had a burger and a couple of beers and Ive got to be honest for the price you cant go wrong it is a little gem in Uxbridge the bar staff are really welcoming and I didnt mind the Muzak. Now have been quite a few times and have not change My star rating the beer is still real good the food is good pub grub at a good price and the staff are still very pleasant and that makes a huge difference. When in Uxbridge always now vist the Queens Head and My rating has not changed. in there to night ( 2nd Nov ) . Unfortunately due to covid it is temporary closed.
