Great small town spot. Excellent service and food quality. Owner is a great guy and was very accommodating as we sat on the Patio. Worth the drive from the city. Look forward to going back.
We ordered 2 hamburgers and chicken souvlaki. The salad came with the meal but just regular lettuce tomato salad. The chicken is moist not dry, the hamburgers are regular taste. The services were great
I had heard good things about this place, so 12 of us booked ahead for dinner to celebrate a birthday. It was decently busy when we first arrived, with things beginning to quiet down when we ordered our meals. After waiting nearly half an hour, presumably the owner, returned to us explaining there had been some sort of mistake, taking all of our orders again. We waited about 25 minutes for the food to slowly trickle in. Most of the orders were wrong or incomplete, causing delays and several trips back and forth for them. Two of us were done eating by the time all the meals were served and *mostly* correct. I can't speak to the quality of the other meals, but the three crispy chicken sandwiches contained overcooked chicken, complete with carbon marks on the breading (weird) and totally dried out. The aioli sauce was so slight it made for a very dry sandwich. We were assured by those at the table who had been there before that this was a highly unusual experience, but judging by the reaction of owner/staff's lack of shame or embarrassment, seems to be just another Saturday. No discounts to show any sort of concern for our troubles. Birthday boy did get a free drink and piece of cake, so there's that. I don't feel the value for the money is there, so my husband and I would not return.
The food here was amazing! We started off with a special app of curry goat rolls and they were absolutely fantastic! They should add them to their full menu. They were similar to croquettes but packed with flavour and tender meat and also served with a little side salad. For dinner we ordered the lamb curry and the butter chicken and they were very flavourful and authentic. They were both meals we wanted to keep eating, but couldn't fit another bite in. This was truly an experience and our server was very kind and looked after us. It was a meal I will not forget! I highly recommend this place and would come back anytime we are in the area!
My husband and I stopped in for lunch. I had the fish and chips and he had crispy chicken and bacon sandwich with a side Caesar salad. Both dishes were delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly.
Nero, Shannon, and the culinary team never fail to impress with their unique and tantalizing specials and their incredible grill selection, from the Bacon Overload burger, to their delectable Baked Garlic Shrimp, and even with their selection of draught ales for all occasions. Feels like home. Tastes like heaven.
The Burger was very tasty. The staff was awesome and very quick not rushed about getting me seated and a menu. My only complaint was the bun didn't seems as fresh it could have been. A fresh bun would have improved this burger. I would definitely go back again.
The burger special is AWESOME! The food is great, beer choices are excellent, as they have local brewer Second Wedge beer on tap and the family that owns it is wonderful. Really a great place for food, beer and if you're into sports, a solid bar for the games.
The best curry Ive ever had

Last Fall my brother and I visited Uxbridge and stopped for lunch. Really good selection of lunch items and local brews. Crispy chicken recommended and my brother had a Wrap. Busy place during the week. We decided to come back over the Christmas (2023) holidays and loved it. The Town is beautifully lit up and friendly people at McGradys once again. Will visit again in the Spring of 2024 !

The curried lamb was amazing and I ve never had such a delicious huge clubhouse sandwich like this. They have Second wedge beer on tap and the service was amazing. Big fan, it s worth the drive from Newmarket. Will definitely be back but be sure to bring an appetite because the portions are very generous.
Came in near closing with a friend for some wings and beers. We didn t know they were about to close but they still served us with no rush. Food was good and beer was cold. Bathrooms also really clean which is nice to see at a bar.
Decided to try something new and very glad we did. Came in and was welcomed by who I think was the owner right away with a smile. Sat down, got our drinks fast, a good selection of beers that pair well with the pub fair offered on the menu. We had another server that graciously asked if we needed anything else, the customer service was perfect. Menu is very diverse yet not over whelming. My wife got the butter chicken, and I ordered a club sandwich, we shared both and they were excellent. The butter chicken was savoury and not sure if it was home made but I could get a good taste of the cumin, turmeric, garlic and ginger. I am very picky about club sandwiches and it was spot on. Smokey bacon, good size chicken, and I love they add onions which most people dont thing to do. I wish I got a picture to share, but overall great meal, well needed after a long day of work. It is now our go to spot in Uxbridge.

Nero is a fantastic host love this restaurant as they make you feel welcome, the prices are reasonable and the food is excellent! I go here regularly and by far my favourite local pub. Kid-friendliness: Nero is a great host and makes you feel welcome.

I dont know when the reviews were last posted but this place is terrible. I dont think the menus have ever been wiped . They were filthy.

Some of the best curry I ve ever had! Stopped here while driving through Uxbridge due to a snowstorm, and couldn t be happier to find somewhere with such delicious food, and friendly service from this family-run business.

Have been visiting this pub for several years now with my husband, visiting specifically for their burgers. The owner is an absolute gem, incredibly friendly and accommodating. We visited today, as I was craving a burger and we had not been in a while - despite being closed for a private event (clearly we don t know how to read the sign outside), the owner noticed I am expecting and was kind enough to fire up the grill and make a couple burgers for us. Very much appreciated and always a recommendation to folks looking for a friendly delicious pub.

We tried this restaurant for the first time last week and loved it! Four of us tried different dishes and everything was delicious and made exactly how we ordered it (despite my order being a tad difficult). We asked for a drink that wasnt on the menu and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was (ask for the DoubleDee!). Service was beyond excellent and well definitely be back soon! EDIT: as nice as our first visit was, we have attempted to go to this restaurant on four separate occasions and each time, the restaurant was closed despite their hours showing as open online. Super disappointing.

Delicious and excellent service
WOW, my friend and I stopped in to this Pub on Friday and we were totally blown away with their fish and chips. We both ordered the Halibut, perfectly deep fried, not overly greasy and chips were crispy and perfect salt. Ruth took great care of us and did not make a fuss when we stayed over 2 hours long passed our lunch to work on business papers. Thanks Ruth, not only are you a sweetie but also make this pub a star. I would recommend this pub to anyone. Great food and service.

Col. McGradys is an amazing establishment in Downtown Uxbridge. Their food is always fresh wth a mix of different cultures and their service is extremely friendly all the time from the owner right through to the amazing waitresses. Recommended... Butter Chicken Burritos, lamb curry, samosas, deep fried pickles, burgers, just to name a few...

My mom got me takeout from here on my birthday (today) and I will say this place is amazing! The burger and calamari we got were both amazing and great portion size. They went above and beyond with this order and I will be a forever customer when I am visiting uxbridge. A must try for take out and eat in.
Thank you for hosting our mother s 87th birthday on the patio today. Food was wonderful, service was exceptional and given the current restrictions .... well we would never have known there was much of an issue. For one+ hour, life felt normal again. Thank you, again! We ll be back.

We love the food - liver & onions is absolutely the best as per my mother s own review. Great atmosphere, varied menu with daily specials, easy parking right in front of the establishment, quick service and good sized portions. Best pub Ive ever been to! Came to uxbridge for an event and ended up here. Very friendly staff, the food is amazing, and the prices are great. If Im ever back in this area Ill for sure make a stop here!
Best pub in uxbridge Ontario
Visited from Toronto before we attended a show at the music hall. Owner/bartender and the other server (Krista or Krystal?) were both awesome! Food and beer were great. Fun and cozy. Will definitely return when back in Uxbridge again. Thanks for a great time! :)

It taste like it was home made would come back again
Nice. A bit crowded and a bit pricey but the food was good.
A Properly poured Guinness is a thing of beauty especially from bright and chipper wait staff. The cut and cook of the ribs however were sorrowfully disappointing.

This is a place people go to simply because they never leave Uxbridge. The place is hidden like a crack house and just has a dirty feel to it. I ordered the Fully Loaded burger - it was missing the peameal for one, but the bacon and burger was burnt and the entire thing fell apart not even half way through the meal. So I continued to eat my burger salad and took a sip from my Coke, which is most definitely not Coke by the way, only to discover that the entire top part of the cup was sticky. How delicious. So: Food sucks drinks suck hygiene sucks and dont order the coke because it tastes like a mixture of iced tea, Pepsi, and cinnamon. Just go to Montanas.
Great little place. Good food, drinks and reasonable prices. Staff are very helpful and friendly. They let us stay almost an hour past closing (we didnt realize). The only downside the bathrooms always feel a little dirty to me and they smell. Otherwise definitely an underated place in Uxbridge.
Love eating here good atmosphere and great staff food is delicious. Dont be in a hurry to leave we always go in knowing we are going to be there a while between talking to staff friends and family always there minimum 3 hours

Amazing food but poor location/set up. Very dark inside and smells like smoke. I wish it was more of a family restaurant because the food is crazy good! The staff are also great.
We eat at McGradys a couple of times a month both for lunch & dinner. Never had to complain about the food at all. The lamb chops are excellent as are the curries on the menu. The soups are really good as well. The owners & staff are very friendly and accommodating. Theyve easily obliged if Ive wanted to tweak my order a little. McGradys did do a little renovating. Unfortunately, we think that the apartments above the restaurant are all on the same heating/cooling system....could be the reason the place sometimes smells a little like smoke if the tenants above smoke in their apartments. That is the landlords fault for allowing it to happen.

Patio was sunny. Wait staff was super hard-working. Had innis and gunn on tap. Tubular Bells was playing on the speakers. Only downside was my bun fell apart as I was eating my burger.
Great time
Ive been sitting with my family for over an hour and a half for our food. We ordered a grilled cheese. A salad. Some fried shrimp. And the special (something youd think would take a few minutes to make) a chicken burger and a Shepards pie. Things that should take no longer than 10-15 minutes at best. I wouldnt mind if the cook was a one armed veteran. But Im sure this isnt the case. Friday August 18th. For lunch. Please check on the staff and situation I dont even think there was a supervisor here.

An unexpected surprise. We were passing through on a Friday night on the way up north. Had the best homemade seafood clam chowder. $4. The server was positive and upbeat. Will definitely go back on a Friday for the seafood. chowder.

service was great, very friendly but food were not very good, roasted beef that was on special was tough, dry and not fresh, seems like its been cooked, sliced then frozen or refrigerated for a few days and then reheated, gravy taste like those from a can, bun was burned, fries were cold and over done. Another disappointed experience in Uxbridge.
