Hillside Place, 307 Toronto St S, Uxbridge, ON L9P 0B4, Canada
Thai Village is always fresh and delicious. My husband and I eat here regularly and have enjoyed every bite. The service is excellent!
💰 $15 pp due to lunch special 🍽️ green curry - soup that comes with lunch special is a little salty - Jasmine tea was a nice touch with the meal - the green curry was a little too liquidy for my liking but it hit the Asian food fix
This restaurant is now in my top three. The food was so delicious and the portion sizes were great. The owner is also really nice and she made us feel very welcomed. We really wish that there was more locations closer to home.
Econo-asian at high prices. As others said, mains are drowned in a sugary dark mystery sauce they call “Asian BBQ style” (ex. N14). Giant hunks of zucchini are thrown into everything (even the soup!) in absence of typical veg (mushrooms, bamboo shoots, chestnuts, baby corn, bean sprouts, celery…). The “satay” (literally = skewer) was velveted meat we thought was tofu at first. Stick to recommended like crispy garlic mushrooms (juicy) & Tom Yam soup (good flavour) & maybe ur ok
Amazing food!! The lady is so sweet, and service was incredible. We ordered various different dishes from the curries to chilli chicken and loved all the dishes. Flavours were absolutely amazing and the portions are very much worth it.
Very nice lady, food was excellent Got the crispy ginger beef, and Thai mango chicken, so yummy!! Will be coming back to try more of their dishes.
If you like Thai food, you have to go to Thai Village! Just a small place in Uxbridge; has seating, alcohol, big menu, free parking and great customer service. We walked in to a friendly greeting and got a great corner table. The menu has lots to choose from, good prices and big portions. We tried the Curry Rendang, Pad See Ew, Crispy Ginger Beef, Chili Chicken and the Thai Spicy Noodles. All were excellent! Two of the dishes were lunch specials which included fried rice, spring roll, soup and jasmine green tea. We ordered a lot of food to try. When we were done, the server came to our table and packed up all our food for us so we could take it to go, impressive. Thai Village provided an excellent experience from start to finish, highly recommended.
Very nice & very authentic. Nice little hidden gem here in Uxbridge. Made a mistake ordering the lemongrass soup thinking it had shrimp but had chicken. Felt really bad & they were generous to swap it with the Tam Yum (how it’s spelled on the menu) that had the shrimp. So I ended up choosing the Tom Yum, and Green shrimp curry with veggies. Service was great, not too slow, cooked fresh. Very tasty. Great spices. Great place. Really liked it.
The good go yum yum
Amazing little hole in the wall. The food was absolutely delicious
I just ordered from Thai Village on Uber Eats. Everything was fresh and delicious!! I can t believe I hadn t tried this place yet! I recommend. I got the wonton soup, pad Thai and shrimp rolls
Food was great
Great food. Fair prices
Service with a smile! The food was very similar to other Thai restaurants, but service was noteworthy. If you are looking for a pleasant smile and attentive service as part of your dining experience, pop in for a bite!
Exceptionally good authentic Thai food, right here in Uxbridge. Portions are good food is fresh, right amount of spice and great service., Please support our local restaurants
Authentic, flavourful, big portions, great price. I have been to many thai restaurants, and this one is definitely on my top 3. Highly recommended!
The food was not good. We tried chilli chicken and lemon grass soup. The soup was very sweet and like tomato soup. The chicken was sweet also and soggy.
LOVE the food here and the staff are so polite.
Good carry btw
We were in Uxbridge and decided to stop by. The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. I m gluten free and there were so many options I could eat or they could substitute. The food was delicious. Will definitely have to go back if I m in town. Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free
Go-to place for Thai cuisine in the area!
A great place for lunch or take out. Very polite people.
FRESHEST Thai food I ve ever had! This is a hidden gem in Uxbridge and I m surprised this place isn t as busy as it should be. The owners work hard and are helpful. The lunch special is an incredible deal and this is one of the few places probably left that a couple can eat for just under $30. Overall the menu has A LOT of options too. We love this place and will be back!
I grew up in Uxbridge and Thai Village has been my go to spot ever since it opened. Owner is super nice and thoughtful, typically would remember our order even if we didnt go for a year. All around great spot! Ginger beef and the calamari are my favourite.
The shrimp rolls were wonderful but the Pad Thai was a bit too sweet for us. The chicken and tofu was cooked perfectly though. The service was excellent. Eating inside felt a bit awkward. If we lived closer wed probably do takeout instead.
I feel bad posting, as the woman was so nice.. But Holy gross, never again. The pad Thai had zuchini, which I could get over if it tasted good. But it just tasted like sweet and sour mixed with cherry sauce... disgusting.. it being red, Knew I was in for a bad time. The green Curry my partner ordered was also abysmal. Do yourself and your mouth and stomach a favor.. dont eat here Vegetarian options: They offer a decent amount of vegetarian options. I stuck to pad Thai,as its a staple/ hard to f up... boy way I wrong.
I m sorry to say that for the first time I was extremely disappointed with the food. It was absolutely horrible. I don t know what happened, this restaurant is usually much better than that.
We were recommended this place by my brother and were so glad we tried them out. I had the Malay Curry with mixed veg and it was delicious (and not spicy which is good cause Im a whimp). My husband had the Red Thai Curry and he was happy to find it genuinely spicy. We will definitely be going back again Vegetarian options: Option for mixed veg in several dishes instead of meat
unprofessional. ignored customers and uber drivers when busy for pickups. Taking orders when they clearly couldnt handle the volume.
Great value, good service. Good food :)
I when few times first 2 times was good 3rd time found hair in my dish didnt go back
Food is tasty and fresh. Dining room could use some updates and is quite small. I suggest this place for take-out.
Ordered a Pad Thai and received a very sad attempt at a Pad Thai. Sweet and sour sauce or Ketchup added to make the dish look extra revolting and pink. Two bites in and I spit out a hard chunk of something completely unidentifiable. Experience so bad that I will not return, even to demand a refund.
Super yummy food. Love the green curry lunch special !
I have always really liked this place, and I guess I dont really ever get take out from them, because I just discovered that they dont give utensils, napkins, or chopsticks in the bag!!! How am I supposed to eat this lovely, usually hot, and very fresh and tasty food? Food is a 5, but Im giving a lower rating because Im hangry and my fingers are burning.
Best Thai food within a two hour radius. I literally drive 2 hours for this ginger beef, laksa noodle soup, and chili chicken chow mein. Love this place!
Excellent Thai food, far better than anything in our neck of the woods (KW). Would highly recommend!
Even though Uxbridge lost all my business with its stupid trail parking , approx $5000 per year, this place will always be my favorite Uxbridge restaurant. All you Uxbridge residents, do you drive to Toronto?????? To make a living , where I pay taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The server is nice and friendly. Food is very authentic. Vegetarian options: Large variety of vegetarian option. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian. Parking: Spacious parking
Well, it tastes good and worth a try!
Lovely place! We had the spicy tofu, general Taos chicken, and BBQ pork fried rice (all of which were delicious). Good prices, GREAT portions, and very friendly service. Definitely recommend! Ill definitely go again if I find myself in Uxbridge.
We dine here every week, always great food and service.
Probably the best restaurant in uxbridge. Friendly staff and amazing deals on lunch specials. Try the ginger beef
We ve ordered many times from Thai Village and have always loved it. I don t know what happened since we were last there, but it wasn t the same. First, the menu prices jumped by about $5/dish. The Pad Thai was way over cooked and tossed in what I assumed is jarred sauce (kind of a hot pink/red colour - not like any Pad Thai I ve had there in the past. Most dishes had just the tiniest sprinkle of veg and meat and were missing items that are typically in the dish. Covid hit businesses hard, I get it, but we spent almost $200 on a meal that barely got eaten. The pumpkin curry was pretty nice though :)
My wife and I order soups from here and they are delicious and the portion sizes are excellent. Definitely an great alternative to you typically take out. Well be going back again.
Excellent food. Quick and fair price. Recommend the red curry chicken or spicy basis chicken.
ordered chicken pad Thai, there was chunks of bones and mystery meat not sure if it was chicken and the tofu tasted like dead fish
Good service
Love love love the Malay curry!!
Wonderful food served piping hot! They have an entire page dedicated to vegetarian dishes. Love them. On our last visit they graciously stayed open past their closing time because we arrived late.
The Thai crispy garlic chili mushrooms were delicious!! We also really liked the red curry. Service was excellent. We only gave 4 stars as the pad Thai was bright pink... I have no idea what would make it so pink. Ketchup? Beet juice? Food colouring? Whatever it is, it s not authentic and was disappointing :(
The food here is consistently great. We order here on a regular basis and they are always friendly. I always get the green curry and the shrimp cold rolls. The thai pumpkin curry soup is also fantastic.
From the first day this restaurant is a nice alternative. We will continue to go there.
Best crispy ginger beef in the world.
The food was surprisingly excellent. I will definitely be going back.
Usually have take out. Service always friendly and just a great product. If you dont get addicted to the peanut curry or calamari you either have an allergy or no taste buds!
Good food and service.
Very unprofessional. After we set down for lunch, we were told that it will be closed down for 1 hour. They should put sign in front of the store .. Wont recommend l
I recently took my daughter out for lunch here, the owner was prompt but I always feel rushed. He kept checking to see if we had finished to take our plates away and presented the bill and debit machine right away. We were cut off mid conversation several times. We didnt even finish our drinks. I have been going here since it opened and it has become very tired. There are no new food items and it is becoming expensive. Lunch for a tiny soup, 2 mains, rice, and a pop was $56. I did take leftovers home but still it has become a luxury for lunch. The last time my husband and I went there he told us we would have to be quick he had an appointment and was closing early. It was the quickest date I have ever had. Really! They need to value all the customers and take pride in the restaurant, I will spend my money somewhere else.
Everything tasted over sweet.
One of my favourite restaurants! Always fast and efficient service with consistent quality. I recommend the curries or Thai basil stir fry. The lunch specials are especially a deal. The owners helped us order food for our backyard wedding (pickup only). Our guests loved the food! Been a frequent customer for over 6 years now.
Good food and service try the beef broccoli
Not so great.
Great Thai restaurant, one of the best anywhere. Friends drive more than an hour just to come here for lunch. I highly recommend to try the calamari, it is absolutely the best.
The food is not bad. But the owner is rude. Horrible
Love the Laksa!
Good food with decent service. Large portions of food for the price.
Love this place. Very yummy food, gluten free too. Will and Cleo, owners are super nice as well.
Quick service. Great food. Try the pumpkin soup.
The place needs some clean up, first. Secondly, the waiter was like he didnt really understand what was going on, kinda lost, not very helpful, grumpy, like bothered he has guests. Flies bothered us for the whole staying, trying to get on the food: gross! The food came fast but it was a disappointment. Small portions, I doubt cooked the same day. I had Thai food before, this one was more like Chinese. Both the server and, I assume, the cashier, stood at a table in front of us with headphones on, watching electronics while some shoes and other belongings were scattered under their chairs. Overall, a very disappointing experience, I do not recommend it, I will never go back. For $56 we can do better anywhere.
Such a staple - the food is awesome and has been consistently for years.
Will not go here again, the food portion is small and the taste is horrible. Paid about CAD 33.00 dollars with tax for a two meals -take out . It is a mistake to go here !!
Excellent taste ..quality and price . Id go back. Tommorow .
Great flavours good value
Thai village was introduced by friends of ours about 3 years ago. We love the food there if you are really looking for authentic thai food. The owner also went out of his way to introduce gluten free meals because my wife has to eat gluten free now its part of his regular menu. Good call. . We have introduced our other friends to this restaurant and they love it too. We travel about 100kms return to enjoy this Thai village restaurant. Keep up the great new recipes you continue to bring back from Thailand.
Love the green curry! The staff is always great.
I was going to order Chinese food but then saw the great reviews on this place and decided to try Thai instead. I wasnt sure what to expect from a Thai restaurant in Uxbridge but I was very happy to have my expectations blown away. The food tasted awesome and they didnt have long wait times at all. My favorite was the Malay Curry. I will definitely be eating here again. Soon.
Not authentic Thai food, its more like Chinese food with a little Thai spices to me
Love the food! Come from out of town just to order sometimes, very nice atmosphere and the owner is very nice
I like
The food and decor are perfectly matched to the name. Love the food!
