We both ordered wings and fries and both our orders were undercooked. Fries were terrible and it raw. We were going to send it back but if you can't cook fries and wings right, we didn't want to risk ordering anything else. Dana was awesome.
May have caught them on a bad day...BUT, we stood at the front door for 10 minutes...ALL staff on would look at us and keep going (and NO it was not busy at the time, like at all). I finally yelled out "hey do we just sit anywhere?" then, they paid attention. The food was so-so. My daughter enjoyed her burger, my husband didn't mind his sandwich, mine wasn't great. The bread was staler than stale. It literally crumbled when I tried to pick it. Overall, all I'd say the place is meh and won't be rushing back there. There are better choices all around them.
Was here Oct 16th 2024 , Party of 6 . The food was good , The restaurant was BUSY , The Prices are very reasonable . The waitress was new on the job - 3 days . She did her best , was extremely pleasant and we had NO PROBLEMS . Will definitely go back the next time I'm in Sudbury . R. Anderson .

I don't recommend paying $20 for a tiny, dry piece of chicken breast that tasted burnt.. not even the goatcheese pesto sauce saved it as the taste of burnt chicken overpowered the sauce. I also do not recommend coming here if you do not like being seated at dirty patio tables. We were waiting for our food for way too long, It was not busy at all. When I went to ask our waitress how much longer the food would take, I could hear the kitchen staff in the kitchen talking loudly and socializing, so I was not surprised when I received my food and it was overcooked. Final thing, our group asked to be seated out on the patio, the tables were absolutely filthy, wipe your hand across it and you'd have dirt all over your hand. The waitress that seated us was very quick to leave the patio.. after she apologized for the umbrellas that were laying around she explained they had to take them down from the wind. Not a big deal however they were in the way. I had to pick up and move the umbrellas out of the way so that we didn't have to constantly walk over them to get to the bathrooms. It was quite obvious the tables haven't been wiped down for days. The waitress that seated us was not the same waitress that served us the entire night which was a younger lady who was attentive and helped move us inside when the food was taking too long and it began to get dark out. and I don't believe It would have been fair for me to get her to pick up the slack where her co-workers were slacking. Overall that was the only staff member I was impressed with. The experience is definitely turned me off of visiting this location for a period of time and not recommending it. The only thing I enjoyed on my plate was the fries and gravy, but it's something I can easily make at home. I can easily burn a small piece of chicken at home.
Friendly staff, food came quick and was very tasty! Burger was good quality, above average nd certainly didn't disappoint in any areas The restaurant in itself has a nice, clean, sleek vibe to it. Nothing too fancy or over the top. There appears to be a reserveable area for medium size groups as well I'd come back again

Delicious! My husband and I really enjoyed their classic wings in both medium and butter buffalo. Loved the bruschetta bread. Fresh and grilled. Their snack platter is great too. Amazing homemade onion rings! Best I've ever had. Looking forward to the crispy honey salad. Definitely recommend.

Was disappointed they close at 10pm on Thursdays, especially when the Stanley Cup Playoffs are on TV. Literally had to leave after the second period and go to another sports bar to watch the third period. The name is literally Overtime but we had to leave before regulation ended, ironic...
This place is always packed and busy, the food is amazing here! Best place in the valley

One of the best places I have ate in Sudbury. We had the OT platter and poutine and both were really tasty. Great and friendly service as well.
Generally it is a great place to go, latley I am noticing a decline in food quality and service
A friend and I went to the Val Caron location, May 11th. We stood in the entrance waiting to be seated, which took awhile. Finally the bartender came to ask where we would like to be seated. She walked to a table, placed a menu and walked away (nothing being said), came back with a second menu, placed it on the table and nothing said to us again. We waited about 7 min at this point, staff walking past us, no one acknowledging us. This is not how you want to served. We got up and walked out.

Called and asked if do take out they said yes. Went to place my order and hour after that and i guess they were busy ... They rudely said not doing takeout tonight. Well they just lost me as a customer. Never ever been told this before.

My dad and I went out with 2 buddy s tonight for wings and beers. Service was horrible, grumpy waitress, slow service, horrible wings. When we received our wings there was no sauce on them and they were well over cooked, our waitress was always talking to people at the bar and would only come by our table maybe once every 30 minutes. When we would order a beer it would take her 15 minutes to bring it to us when the restaurant was empty. At the end when we were paying bills ( Samantha ) the waitress we had, had charged us for something that wasn t supposed to be charged for, as we asked for her to take the charge off she came to our table dropped the toonie on the table and gave us all a dirty look. Wasn t a good experience at all! I wouldn t recommend this place, especially if Samantha is the waitress that night.
I just had the best waitress her name is Samantha always having to biggest smile... the most pleasant personality and the food was great.... ill be back to see Sam for sure..... thumbs up to you girlfriend...you rock

Restaurant was nice, server Rylan wasn t great. Didn t show any interest in her costumers, especially when it came time to ordering. I ordered one thing then got something completely different, plus she didn t make sure that specific condiments on our food were taken off. We aren t the only ones that seem to have an issue.

Worst bar in valley we were there at 10:10pm and we were told that everything is closed we called before leaving they told us we close at 11pm and still we told otherwise on reaching and we not even able to have drinks at the bar
Went to Overtime for the first time, and this restaurant was amazing! My group and I were not familiar with the area, and we were looking for quick bite! We were so happy to find this place! Our server Tim was so accommodating! The food and drinks he suggested were awesome! Overall AMAZING customer service and food! We will definitely be coming back, highly recommended!

Meh alright place, owner seems nice and wants his business to work. Poutine was cold and nothing special... most of the food was pretty pub style. Would probably not eat dinner here would more get a drink and maybe wings. Not much going on up north so its an alright place but... the food was yikes tier.

This was the absolute best sports bar burger Ive ever had!. All homemade and really incredible. Their gravy could use some tweaking, but it was homemade, and how many places do you get that these days! Sudbury/Val Caron for best burger ever!

Went in for lunch at11:30. Took over an hour to get our food. I only ordered french onion soup. And mushroom caps. Didnt eat any of my food. Soup was cold. They re heated it and brought it back to me and there was no liquid left only a soggy bread was and cheese. Didnt eat it. Mushroom caps were not cooked long enough tasted very doughy. Will never go back. Waitress was nice

Amazing staff , fast service & tim our server was amazing great costumer service and the food was amazing :) even wheeled us in for a cocktail for their special on Fridays that were made excellent :) Would recommend to anyone to stop in there, you wont be disappointed :) Way to kill it tim your a superstar!!!
Not happy with todays service was served 4 orders of poutine and was serve black fries the waitress bought this out to 4 older ladies and said they used the same oil for fish .hello cross contamination will not go back and she charged 1 out of 4 orders insulting if you don t charge for 3 don t charge any . Unbelievable never go again and will spread the word big no don t go

Horrible fries refied, black, garlic mashed potatoes tastes like some one just dumped powdered garlic on them. Hamburgers dry. Not at alk like the one on Notre-Dame. Our server did not do anything to make it better. I like the mashed potatoes and Our fries are always like this. Im not impressed at all.

I had fish and chips the night we were there both of us werent crazy about the fries I dont like skinny fries I get cold too fast the fish was okay the only thing is I like pan fried fish thats my problem otherwise the surface was good and everything else thank you very much
Absolutely aweful!! Every. Single. Time. We do take out theres issues. Last straw tonight, the middle of my food was litterally FROZEN and we wernt given all of our food we paid for. Kept making excuses for them because they were getting their sea legs but its at a point where we will drive to chemmy before going here again. They arnt getting it.

Over salted greasy wings ...tasteless Ribs ...almost no cheese on a giant plate of Chips they called nachos spent close to 90 bucks trying to support a local business and was let down big-time. When are we going to start holding the bar a bit higher for food in the valley ???
Normally I dont like to write a food reviews. Its very personal and depends on your preferences and taste. But this time I feel I have to, maybe it helps to save someone live or staying away from the hospital. Ordered the fish and chips and had a terrible reaction to it. Was overly salted and had many bones in it, have had this meal a thousand times from lots of places and this was the worst.

Tiny portions, big price. Disappointed. Chicken parmesan was tasteless and dry as sand. It was $17.00 for what you see.

Fish and chips: Full of bones and had the skin still on it. It was super greasy. Asked for my fries extra crispy and got them soft and soggy. Really wasnt happy. Family member had the wings and they were dry :/
First timer and experience wasnt a great one. We ask the hostess for her opinion which we went with but we should have made our own minds up. My northern hamburger was tasteless and my partner asked for BBQ and the brought watered down hot sauce. You can tell they didnt care when we expressed our disappointment. Not a place to visit again.

We were unimpressed this evening, the place seemed super understaffed, people at tables all around were complaining about the length of time it took for their food as well as some sending it back because it was cold. Took over 30 minutes to even come take our drink order which we put in our food order at same time. An hour and 25 minutes later, we finally got food. The waitress was short when we commented that it had already been more than an hour. I get it, it gets busy, but this was ridiculous, and the waitress coming back at us after an hour and saying I can cancel your order maam was just wrong in general. The food itself was great, but the overall experience just fell flat.

Sorry but really awful .was looking forward to fish and chips from new place. Price 14.00 fair,coleslaw, chips fine. The perch however was inedible. Double batter resulted in a tough thick leathery coating full of salt. Sadly when removed fish was salty. Fish taste good within salt issue,well cooked. Really sad because surely no one tasted this fish. I dont believe that even a salt person would find this acceptable. P,ease try again with a lighter maybe rice flour or cornstarch dip. I do wish the best because they are needed but this is a rough new guy start.

Called for a takeout order, the server was very polite and made sure to ask cook if my French onion soup could come without bread as I am a low carb eater. Chicken wings were cooked great..not greasy and not dry. I could have used a bit more seasoning on them. Husband ordered a meat lovers pizza. Surely not skimpy on the toppings. Cant wait for them to be allowed to dine in because we will surely be regulars. PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE.

I came here 2 for dinner.. The service was horrible, the waitresses didnt come check up on us and we were the only ones there.. My first time there the bar tender asked me to wait 5 minutes while she was asking the other staff if they had a phone charger for her phone, that is not professional... On the bright side the food was amazing, if it wouldnt be for the cooks I wouldnt be going back... Now I only order takeout for the good food, since the service sucks!!!!

J s Roadhouse has become my new football and wings spot. Food and prices are excellent. The staff definitely bring this place to another next level. Courtney is our favourite her humour and spiciness keeps us on our toes.

The service wasnt good, they would completely ignore us but when one did they all came one after the other. The chicken wings were over cooked and for 1$ a wing they were tiny. We ordered drinks and they didnt have one of the ingredients and gave it to us before telling us and then just walked away.
The wings are 1$ but let me tell you it will be the last time we order here...!! Small and dried out. Not worth it. Very disappointed

I was at the restaurant Saturday Night not impressed with the food or the food presentation my Burger was okay and sweet potato fries its a small portion I feel ripped off. The calamari was so oily and it came in a cappuccino cup not a plate as the picture shows and the portion is small. Probably wont be returning too this establishment.
