Nice place

Wonderful experience for me and my partner. We fell in love with the cocktails and the vanilla and cardamom crème brulée. The atmosphere is positive and the service we received is impeccable.

While passing through Val-D Or, we had a great experience. We got a table despite the room being full. We tried fish and chips (with real homemade chips and fish that melted in your mouth). The dessert (cheesecake and salted caramel) was delicious although very small in portion. However, we deplore the fact that the requested tip starts at 18% We give it a 5 star because the meal was worth the $$$ price. We recommend this restaurant!

Nous avons attendu 2h pour avoir notre souper et lhotesse a du soccupée de nous parce que notre serveuse à vonlontairement choisi de soccupée dune autre table. Le prix et le service ne vale pas le coup. Je ny retournerais pas pour 240$ pour 2 personne. Jai un resto de luxe a montréal avec de la bonne nourriture pour le même prix et service iresprochable.

I recently dined at a restaurant in Val-d Or and I must say that the welcome, the service and the food were impeccable. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the dishes were delicious and well presented. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a culinary experience.

Everything was excellent, A+ service. Happy to have found a vegetarian option on the menu and some great mocktails! Rather on the higher end for prices, but we found it worth it. Be careful, however, the payment terminal is immediately programmed for a minimum tip of 18%, which does not necessarily correspond to what people want to leave. You will find a nice atmosphere, good company, good cocktails, but certainly not a hot meal (prime rib sandwich among others), apart from the onion soup. Not tasty but expensive. Disappointing!

Supposedly the best restaurant in Val dor, The service may be good (I would give it a good 4 star), but the food is really terrible for the price. $28 for 7 small pieces of tuna which are then placed on the plate, good but Im still really hungry. The accompaniment of carrot and beet salad with fish sauce was really not to my taste $290 for 5 small dishes and 7 drinks is unfortunately not worth the price

I am very impressed with the quality of food and service here. The flavors are perfectly balanced, the meat is tender and juicy, and the atmosphere is cool. I am happy to have discovered LEntracte in 2013 and I come back here every time I visit Val dOr. Dietary restrictions: Perfect. I feel safe here. Parking: The parking lot is small.

I just came out of this beautiful little restaurant that I wanted to try for the first time. On the other hand, I wasnt able to eat there even though the menu is, in my opinion, the best in Val dOr. Why couldnt I eat there? Before my meal I ordered a Bloody Ceasar WITHOUT Tabasco, I received a Bloody Ceasar with Tabasco and I am very intolerant to Tabasco so after the first sip I immediately got sick and had to leave quickly. By the way, Im not angry, disappointed but not angry because to err is human. Unfortunately I will spend the next night sick with my head in the toilet and the next 2 days trying to recover. Why do I give 5 stars? Because to err is human, the young waitress was very frank and apologetic when she told me she had not heard that I said without Tabasco (2 or 3 times). Why do I give 5 stars? Because it stuns me in the face of someone who gives a restaurant 1 star because there was an ice cube missing from their glass of water. Why do I give 5 stars? I repeat, to err is human and the restaurant profession is not easy. On my next visit to Val dOr I promise to return there to finally be able to taste, the place is beautiful, the menu is beautiful, the atmosphere is beautiful, after having tasted I could revise my rating but for now its 5 stars. A beautiful restaurant, a beautiful atmosphere with very good service. Its just a shame that the dishes are not consistent with their price and quantity/quality. We still eat well there.

The service was dry and impersonal. The waitress was in a hurry to leave every time she came to the table. I felt I had to insist that she give me the little information she knew about the bib. I was told this was the best restaurant in town and I am very disappointed.

I am really disappointed with my detour for lunch on Thursday around 12:45 p.m. I arrived with my husband and my 13 year old son and there was a waitress who told us since you have a child you have to eat outside on the terrace take a table...so I headed towards a table and she never came to give us the menu or even accompanied us to the table..seen this service and given the cold temperature we left for Le Bâton Red..my son even told me..sorry mom that Im here...he felt that it was too much..some advice write it on your site or google that you dont admit children. .or only on the terrace..and tell your employees to be more friendly and smiling and above all courteous. Especially since it was our first time in Abiti-Tébiscamingue...

The food is good, but the service is extremely slow. We arrived around 7:45 p.m. The waitress only came to see us around 9 p.m. and we got our dishes at 10 p.m. On the terrace the atmosphere is good, but inside it is extremely noisy. In short, a great place to discover dishes that you dont eat on every street corner when you have a budget, you have time and the weather is nice to go to the terrace.

An exceptional restaurant in Val-dOr. Located opposite the mining village, the atmosphere is pleasant on the terrace and inside. The service is impeccable, especially when suggesting a good bottle of wine. If a blues show is presented there, hurry up and get tickets.

Its been twice that Ive had the chance to come to your restaurant. I came to celebrate my 32nd birthday and wow. Impeccable service! The waitress answered our questions and gave us time to make our choices for our orders. Despite the restrictions I felt good and in no hurry. These are my favorite restaurant when I go to Val dOr for work. The food is excellent, the oysters are fresh, yum what a delight. The owner is very friendly. And the atmosphere to go alone or accompanied is perfect. There is a bar in the middle to sit and eat. I tasted a lot of things at this restaurant, flank steak, tartare, oysters, several came in too. And everything is really excellent. These are a Must!

aside from the noise (the music was so loud you had to yell just to talk) everything else was super. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were super friendly.

Great service, really SUPER service. Food was good, nice atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised!

As you know I am larger than the average bear and more greedy than the average. The restaurant is pretty, parking is not easy. A bit expensive for the quality of the food. Otherwise nice atmosphere, but not that pulling on the walls. The lobster bisque is a little salty and no pieces of lobster visible. The blue on my flank steak is cold like pepper sauce. The drinks are either strong or weak, it depends on who is pouring the alcohol on the other side of the bar....in short, try it once but nothing more. See the attached plate presentations.

The decor is ok but its not all bad. It wants to be a gourmet restaurant but the bottles of wine offered are those from the SAQ sold at 100% of the price, ok for an ordinary restaurant but not for a restaurant that wants to be pretentious, here, no privately imported wine. Service ok nothing more. Beef-based onion soup (probably powdered beef base). Traditional French dish, nothing more. I ordered a Lebanese chicken skewer, I could have ordered the same dish from a fast food restaurant in Montreal and it would have been better, they sold it to me for twice the price with half the quantity for twice the price. Potato cooked in the fryer, garlic sauce that tasted just like garlic and skewer made from thigh. Restaurant that wants to be pretentious, nothing more.

Really, really delicious. I ate a memorable rack of lamb. My partner loved her scallops with risotto. The wine list is well stocked with some private imports. Very nice decor and beautiful terrace. I recommend this place without hesitation.

Good service, excellent sushi but the beef fillet plate was ordinary (presentation and accompaniments).

We eat low end food for the price paid. Small appetizer of bruchetta crouton really too hard. Flavorless salmon tartare and half ribs, both dishes accompanied by fries and a bottle of wine $150. Good service!

Nice welcome with respect for health standards. On the other hand, in terms of services and meals it was a categorical no. My starter of asparagus salad, orange and prosciutto chips was not good. I couldnt eat half of it because it was burnt. For the meal, even worse I had the Guinness baby back ribs with fries and it was inedible. The meat was porous, dry and burnt. The fries were undercooked. My glass of water tasted like cardboard and the one I was with had his glass of water tasted like dishwasher lemon. Apart from the bottle of wine (which must cost 2x less in SAQ), I am disappointed. This is the first time the service has been this bad and the food this bad. I dont think Ill go back there at the moment.

Simply excellent tataki starter and generous portion. Unfortunately, the burger bun was burnt and the three giant scallops (in the canned tomato soup) were barely the size of a quarter. Very disappointing. This meal was not worth $100.

I would have given them 4 stars if the prices werent so high. Overall, the food is good, I loved the starter (artichoke fondue) but I was less sure about the main meal (vegetable pasta). They didnt have the dessert we wanted which isnt that surprising with covid and it being a little out of tourist season. Nice atmosphere, good service. Their main weakness is really the prices.

Spending a Tuesday evening to eat oysters and cold meats.... Oysters half empty but full of shells.... Cold meats cut with a fairly thick knife for a cold meats, all including the protective paper for the sausage... More than popcorn with foie gras so a piece of semi-cooked fresh foie gras to replace and a proven rabbit rillette... But if we needed extra toast the waiter guaranteed us that it would be no problem. In short, for a first time in Val Dor, really not wow. I count myself lucky not to have ordered the sushi on this beautiful Tuesday evening....

Very nice atmosphere, delectable snail starter, extra filet mignon, very good service, reasonable price, all the dishes are very hot. Negative point: hot raw vegetables lack of cooking which seems to be trendy, chicken on the grill cooking well but a little too intense grilling which gives a burnt taste. I loved it.

The meal was excellent, but the service extremely slow. It is true that we were a group and that the restaurant seemed full, but we still had to wait at least an hour before being served. However, all dishes arrived hot and well presented. I dont know if its because it was a Tuesday evening, but you shouldnt be in too much of a hurry to eat!

Superb place with friends

I particularly liked the tuna and salmon tartare with its generous portion of red masago. The avocado was not included in the recipe but placed on the dish for presentation. As a starter, the squid tasted good. I appreciated that there were two choices of sauce, however the breading did not stay in place. I liked the service and the atmosphere. I would definitely like to go back this summer to try the terrace.

Bad experience. I went to the bistro three times. My general observation is that the dishes are well prepared and priced accordingly. What is lacking is the speed and the lack of staff at the service. The staff is nice and courteous but the service is much too slow for a restaurant that wants to qualify as 5 stars. Last night was my worst experience. 2.5 hours to get our dishes by insisting with the waiter. Bottle of wine arriving late. Forgetting an essential ingredient in a certain dish. Failure to cook a fish fillet. The meats were excellent. The fault does not lie with the server but rather with the owner or manager who should ensure that they have enough staff each evening.
