Beautiful place with a beautiful history the mining village, even the beginning of Vald or and this inn are part of it. These old people, these quavers, theyre cracking, but so warm, so peaceful, the corridors so narrow and everyone pays attention to the others. Very satisfied to have found this place in Val Dor, located in a quiet area and at a reasonable price. The place is very very clean and comfortable. The only small thing is its lack of soundproofing but that makes it charming.

Apart from the soundproofing of the room which was not sufficient. I had a most pleasant stay. With earplugs if you want to sleep better, I recommend. The concept of autonomous check-in really appealed to me; it certainly reduces the delays before taking possession of the room, very practical.

Beautiful little heritage inn, well maintained and located in an environment rich in the history of the region. It was my first visit (for one night) and my wife and I enjoyed it. The self-check-in service is efficient and gives us a lot of flexibility. I would not hesitate to return. The advertising represents what the hostel is, no surprise. Good value for money. One improvement I could suggest would be the comfort of the bed which could be improved especially if you stay there for several nights.

I go to the hostel almost every week for work and I love the place. The facilities are clean and the house is super cute! The bed covers are unique and I like that there are several different pillows per bed, it can accommodate all types of sleepers!

We took advantage of all the amenities: kitchen, relaxation areas and especially the veranda. The site is really special with its houses from another era. A quiet and calm corner. Very nice place which has been renovated while retaining the character of yesteryear. Beautiful common dining room and full kitchen. The only negative is that the rooms are not insulated against noise between rooms. Located in a mining district which has been preserved and a stones throw from the City of Gold.

our departure was for April 28, on April 27 around 7:00 p.m. there was no internet connection, I dont know if the connection cut the day before departure or if there was a problem, I didnt I called the manager and instead took my phone details. The bathroom on the 2nd floor could use some renovation but overall it was decent in terms of price/quality.

Bedside light didnt work due to the fact that there was no plug available. Wifi unstable, not powerful enough to handle the load from all customers. Netflix and Youtube freezes often. Clean and comfortable. House kitchen and dining room fully equipped. Very nice & new shower.

On the other hand, poorly, even very poorly insulated... room 101 is under the stairs and next to the entrance and the living rooms, so super noisy, especially when everyone doesnt respect others. Anyway, a good stay but would be even better if you could choose your neighbors :) I recommend.

This hostel is magnificent, the rooms have everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. I slept really well. Place to recommend, I will definitely return.

Like most hostels, the bathroom is shared, during my night at this hostel, a guest took a shower for 15 to 20 minutes at 1:00 am so for those with light sleepers, be prepared to hear some noise at night, either by footsteps of people going up/down stairs, the creaking of floors or a trip to the bathroom during the night. In addition, I made a mistake when booking with Expedia, it is a leap year and I did not notice that I had booked 2 nights instead of one (normally from February 28 to March 1 = 1 night, but this year, there is a February 29...) I contacted the manager who told me to settle with Expedia since the reservation was made with them. I contacted Expedia the next day, the agent contacted the owner and to my surprise he credited 50% of the value of the night that I was not there... I find it a bit cheap because during From my initial conversation, I was able to understand that he had vacated the room so that he could rent it to someone else. I appreciated the availability of the coffee maker in the morning and despite a Siberian cold, -27 Celsisu, I was very comfortable with the temperature inside the hostel. THANKS

They called it a bed&breakfast but no lunch included, no one when we arrived, they took 50% $ on booking and there it was 2 weeks before we arrived!! The headboard was held by a loose screw and every evening there was a party on the upper floor, we heard everything, we forgot to sleep with our ears closed. The cleaning of our room was great and the Mrs. who did the cleaning was super friendly and helpful, and showed us around.

In the middle of the mining village, in a period house, a family atmosphere with great children. The age of the house brings its charm but also the transmission of all internal noise to a life at 6,8,10 or more.
