Room was dirty, there was long hairs in the bathroom counter and bath tub which is disgusting. The jet bath tub shell was coming apart. There was stains on the floor and the coffee machine was all dirty. Not impressed at all, pictures are not accurate. They sprayed a lot of febreeze or something to make it seem clean but in facts it’s not.
In the suite, there was a lovely big tub. But, just to be sure, I filled it, ran the jets, and drained it. The result: black garbage in the bottom. Disgusting!! The photos don't do it justice. Seriously nasty!!! Meanwhile, in the lobby was what seemed to be the waiting room for a community medical service... Not what was expected for business travel.
Skidooers, this is not the best location. Also, if they tell you there’s heated skidoo parking to thaw your machine (as they did with us when we booked a few days ago, and is advertised on the website), it’s not true. We were super disappointed. We only booked a week ago and now they tell us the garage is full.. of what i have no idea, but its not skidoos as there are none here! Breakfast is included but it’s governed by a warden and it took us forever to eat. There was no “help yourself option”. The free breakfast was mediocre at best , with a late start of 7:30- way too take if you need an early start. We didnt start out trip till 9:30am! Worst part of our experience though? They got our reservation wrong! We actually have to pack up and go to another hotel for one night. Yes, i should have checked the email when i reserved, but this has never happened so i was relaxed about it. Apparently there are hotel upgrades but nothing was offered to keep our business. Sadly, we wont stay here again. All our friends are at hotel Forestel (better access to the trails) but we came here. Lastly, as we were packing up to leave, i found someone else’s toque on the floor- the room could not have been vacuumed well or it would have been seen. Lesson learned!
The hotel is very nice, it's clean, very nice rooms, the beds are comfortable, plenty of seating in the room. My only concern was the placement of some of the light switches they were kind of in the back of the room in the corner. Other than that friendly staff spoke good English and had a very pleasant stay. Have stayed in both Suite and Regular rooms.
My husband and I stayed here on Saturday July 31st. We had been travelling all day and stopped in Val D'or. We were able to get a suite. Everything was perfect. Beautiful, nicely decorated and clean. The staff were so nice and friendly and did their best to speak English for us. The breakfast was delicious and the young girl serving was very polite. We definitely recommend this amazing hotel.
Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, this hotel was very pleasant. Very good food and service were offered at The Canon restaurant. No need to order an extra breakfast at cost, as the included continental breakfast provided more than ample food, good coffee and Juices. This was one of the best hotel continental breakfasts I’ve had. Staff are bilingual.
Super late night arrival to our booked room for one night. Staff was very understanding and friendly. Good breakfast the next morning. Nice variety of food. Lots of parking. Only complaint would be the room could have been cleaner. It wasn’t bad, just could have used a bit more attention to detail. (Vacuum the carpet better, needed cleaner surfaces) I would probably stay at this hotel again.
Clean rooms, comfy beds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good water pressure in the showers. Food available in hotel was delicious, would definitely reccomend their breakfast available to guests, even if the 9:30am cut off is a bit early for a late riser like me. And got to use my French - bonus!
Clean room, courteous welcome. Very disappointed with the lunch buffet: things were already missing at 9:00 a.m. (potatoes, fruit). Little choice, no croissants or bagels. No bacon.
The welcome is good, the suite is spacious, the two bartenders are very nice. I will go back there. But there was a problem: I made a withdrawal at the ATM which was debited from the account but I did not receive the money, when I asked at the reception I was told that I could not Im not the first to whom this happens, sometimes they have a network problem and a disconnection occurs, you just have to wait 5 days. Please put a poster next to the counter warning of this connectivity risk and let the customer choose whether to take it or not! I had to open a dispute with my bank which will be resolved in 90 days, in addition to the paperwork.
The couch is excellent
The hotel is not a 4 star... Room not ready for 4 people (sofa bed not ready, no blanket, no bath products, not enough towels, 2 coffee cups, etc.). Main restaurant closed (not notified before). Lunch: avoid (cold egg, soggy potatoes, no coffee in the morning, etc.). Noisy and poorly soundproofed.

The hotel is getting old and everything in your room bears the marks of time. Coffee machine whose walls are filled with questionably colored calcium and a bowl that moves when you sit in it are part of the charm of the place. You might be disappointed with the lunch that was served room temperature and not hot like eggs should be. Nothing to say for the members of the team who are very efficient and kind. I will look elsewhere next time as I thought I had found the best value for money and was disappointed. P.S. The photos are not representative of the reality of the place.
We will not return there. My partner ate seafood and got diarrhea. Also, there were errors on our invoice. Disappointed. The service was good.
Musician at the bar on Friday evenings from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., as well as 5 @ 7 Friday... In addition to Sunday evening Karaoke from 10:00 p.m.!! Wow Possibility of eating at the bar but also a superb dining room with gourmet meals.... impeccable service!! Food and drinks: Restaurant Le Canon full lunch and gourmet dinner as well as the bar Le Club Lounge bistro dinner. Very interesting choice!

Hi good day everyone Shane here I just want to make you aware of there deposit system they have it s 100$ deposit and in my case like maybe others I don t know of I never got my deposit back after till this day still waiting be aware of that and check make sure you get your deposit money back Noteworthy details: Power went off for everyone for 2 1/2 hours sitting in the dark eating not fun

For the first time, we stayed in one of the many suites on the 2nd floor for the week. Due to the new Covid restrictions, the Omicron was m*#$&@, lunch was not like last time but we liked the attention to detail. We recommend this hotel and hope to return to the region early. For the first time, we stayed in one of the many suites this awesome hotel offers. Our son was well impressed with the space and hubby enjoyed the separate spaces. Because of the new Omicron restrictions we did not get to enjoy the wonderful restaurant or hot breakfast but the hotel spoiled us with a great variation of breakfast in a bag.

Extremely disappointed from LEscale Hotel, they were not able to hold the one night I had booked with them 4 days prior, and they failed to contact me before I showed up at the desk, where hotel director, Lan, did not even apologize herself for this absurd & brutal situation. I am working 12h shifts steady and need good transition to rest at night time, and miss Lan and lEscale staff did not even leave me a voicemail canceling my room, neither did they send an email or text. She said she called, 2x, but that does not even show on my callers registry. I dont even know of its true, but one thing I know, is I will never ever attempt to go back there, unless forced to. Extremely disappointed with the Hotel lEscale in Val dOr, I had booked for 1 night, 4 days in advance, leaving my credit card and telephone number. When I showed up at the desk on the day of my reservation at 6:30 p.m., I was told that they had not been able to hold my room due to non-payment, however I was not notified in any way of this. (no calls, emails, texts or voicemails), and the manager, Lan, did not even apologize to me in this deplorable situation, and she even took the liberty of telling me, when I asks him why they hadnt at least left a message on my voicemail to warn me, that they even tried to call me twice, which I have no proof of in my call register. Low-end Hotel & Staff my friends at LEscale, go elsewhere I have never seen a hotel manager speak to me so badly in my life, and I am on the road every week or almost in Abitibi among other places.

I will never stay or recommend this hotel. I simply called to ask if the Corporate Lodging CLC card was accepted, having never seen such a card, the receptionist preferred to laugh at me rather than realize that he was the one in the dark. PS the hotel just opposite accepts the CLC

Well for the reception rooms lets say you have to be patient, half of the group received their plates when others had finished theirs 15-20 minutes ago!!! The meal is not worth the price and the taste is quite ordinary

I rented the suite, everything was perfect, the next day the cleaning lady woke me up and at the exact minute of checkout I was threatened with a $50 surcharge. Very stressful, I have never experienced that in a quality hotel. I couldnt take a shower. Horrible way to end. Edit: No, you werent understanding, youre trying to put the blame on me now. I had an authorized late checkout that I requested the day before and I was called and disturbed twice before the agreed time in addition to having threats of overcharges. You are very unprofessional for writing this response to my review. What audacity and what a lack of professionalism. Its shameful.

One of my best hotel experiences. We booked a king suite, the room was really spacious with a separate lounge area. Equipped with a Keurig, 2 TVs and a therapeutic bath, we spent a pleasant week there. The maintenance is top notch, the staff courteous and the breakfast plentiful and well served.
Superb hotel. Very clean and quiet. No gym on site but they offer free gym membership. I highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, up to date. The place is well located close to several shops. The decor is well appointed and the prices are reasonable. The room is also well maintained and clean. To stay in Val D or for any occasion, it s an excellent choice.
I loved the lunch menu. The only thing I didnt like was that it was next to a cemetery, but that doesnt matter. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable.

Correct hotel, correct price.
Beautiful, large, clean rooms not too expensive with breakfast included. On the other hand, you have to leave a deposit of $175 upon arrival which will be returned to you upon departure and this was not mentioned anywhere, this is the only drawback but apart from that, this hotel deserves a perfect score.

Beautiful rooms. Beautiful entrance hall. Beautiful exterior decor. Friendly staff. On the other hand, not suitable for wheelchairs everywhere. The threshold of the room door which opens onto the parking lot is high. The rooms can be accessed by wheelchair through the main entrance. Bathroom in the rooms not suitable. You have to be able to at least get up and walk a little. And the breakfast room only has bar stools. You have to ask that they bring a coffee table if you want one and they are small tables. We cant eat at 4.

Very clean and renovated room. Conference room not ideal for all presentation styles because of many columns which can obscure the view. Excellent and complete breakfast with room. Good geographical location in the city (near everything) Bar in the building. Everything is very good but a little expensive (but it follows the prices of the region which are at my slightly inflated reviews)
