December 2024 I recommend this hotel with swimming pool, spa and slide for children, water at 80 degrees, spa for relaxation. Very well equipped sports hall with the latest innovations. The service is 100% unparalleled Melanie at reception despite her fairly busy schedule is surprisingly professional. Very calm, concerned about a job well done. Mélanie does not forget her team who are behind her. Lead with respect. Very complete free lunch, lots of choice actually. On request, the beautiful Irene, whose kitchen is impeccably clean, can make you very nice bacon and eggs. The room is super clean. Especially the mattress, the pillows, the feather comforter and absolute calm Slept like BB in Murphys arms. Very satisfied with this service 100%. I would have liked to show you some photos my cell was at 20% Until the next visit. By pure chance I asked if I could buy pillows, to my great SURPRISE they do it to order only. Its a real joke, I had to cancel my meetings for the company and I am not entitled to a refund. Because in the terms it indicates that they do not provide refunds. I will never book with a HotelValue site (priceLine) again. All my teammates and colleagues will receive a note to no longer book through the hotelvalue website (priceLine). Its a real scam. Im really frustrated with the service I didnt get. I will never take this hotel again so as not to give any more money to this company. I have many other accommodation choices than having to take this crappy service.

Superb hotel. Perfect for a stop on the way. A treasure hunt awaited the children, who had found a paper on a table at the swimming pool. The room was clean and comfortable. The water in the spa and pool was VERY cold. So a disappointment for us who were waiting for this spa all day for the evening. Negative point: I received A TON of notices telling me that my stay was approaching, that it was arriving and to know my departure time, in addition to the phone calls received. Put a little less and it will still do it . It had become borderline unpleasant with so many notices/messages/calls... As if the hotel was afraid that we wouldnt go or would cancel our reservation.

This hotel is extremely clean, comfortable, perfect breakfast and swimming pool with SPA. Add to that a small gym for regular exercisers. a 5 for quality-price. well done and thank you.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Microtel in Val d Or. We were there for just one night on a busy weekend. Obviously, the swimming pool and the slide make it a particularly pleasant place for children/families. Parking is not complicated, but spaces are narrow for large vehicles. Special thanks to Mimi at lunch! She was very friendly. lunch was filling and the hot part was served by Mimi. We also enjoyed the self-serve coffee and water in the hallway. Be careful, the soundproofing is not perfect, you can easily hear the bacon attacks in the other rooms, but its not disastrous either. Be careful with the slide, a few people injured their feet at the end, in the fence. You have to stop first.

Staff where friendly and the room was new and clean. The breakfast was pretty good, limited selection, but good food. Nice pool, hot tub and water slide.

Still expensive for what it is

Room whose walls are very poorly soundproofed and it was as if the door was open. We could hear the elevator, people chatting as if our door was open. It was a shame to think that we had to put earplugs in our ears to sleep in a hotel room that cost us $230 with taxes for one night. I recommend choosing another hotel in the area. Request for support from the staff but they can do nothing and no compensation or nothing on their side to come and hear in our Room to see. Too expensive for the service. Renovations are just flashy Rooms: Renovated rooms for eye-catching appeal. Carpets in the rooms and cardboard walls. The soundproofing is poor. When we go to a hotel we pay a lot and we expect to rest but that is not the case when going to this hotel. The employees couldnt help us make our stay a quiet one. Slept very poorly, very noisy. No compensation even though we were informed only 1:30 an hour after our check in that it was very very noisy. We could hear the sound of the elevator when the elevator door opened when we were in our room with the door closed!!! We will not go back, $230 very poorly invested.

To begin with, very disappointed with the lobby service. Being fooled for 2 hours because our room wasnt ready. Then we were given room 216 which is above the automatic doors of the lobby which made so much noise that it kept us awake all night. Please note that the hotel was at full capacity so we could not change rooms. A real shame. Also we had booked a double suite and were told by the receptionist that it wasnt true even if thats what our reservation said. Subsequently on Sunday evening we wanted to stay one more night because our event was extended in town and they charged us $60 more per night to stay the same if the hotel was now empty. I try to talk to the receptionist by explaining the situation to her and she tells me that she is not the one who writes the contracts. And repeats it to me over and over again. Sorry but youre telling me nothing, its sure its not you, youre just the receptionist Please tell me something else, make an effort, call the manager, hell understand the situation. Very disappointed to remain my comment because Val Dor is a city of very proud workers and I respect their work ethic but I believe that all low quality and inferior intellectually conscious workers end up working at the Microtel in Val Dor. I recommend it to anyone unless the hotel on the other side of the road is no longer available (Quality Inn). Never again...

Good customer service upon arrival and throughout the stay. The employees managed to respond quickly to all our problems encountered and followed up on them. I recommend it for your family!

Its not well soundproofed. We can hear the neighbors TV and even conversations. The shower jet is too strong and cannot be adjusted. Not a relaxing time...I hope I dont go back.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my partner for business. It was a pleasant stay and the swimming pool, slide and spa are a plus!

Room cleanliness excellent. The staff who serve lunch are exemplary. The quality and taste of the food is very good. There are nice little touches like free cookies at the front desk. The hotel is very well located. The only fault is that the clerk took the entire amount of the stay as a security deposit on my credit card. $1500 in security deposit when the room is paid for by your employer its unpleasant to waste time to cancel this transaction with the hotel, visa and your employer...

Very good hotel in general. Please note that there is a swimming pool so you can bring a swimming costume. Well kept, very clean, pleasant decor, good lunch, good service. The fault of hotels in general is soundproofing (and pillows that are too soft). This one is rather much less noisy than others. Well come back.

Having inadvertently booked the disabled room, we were relocated to a suite, at no additional cost. The free soup and cookies on arrival were much appreciated after a long day of motorcycling with the ride ending in the rain! Lunch is very complete. The spa is in the same space as the pool and the slide, so not very relaxing.

Service was great. Rooms tidy and clean. Breakfast was a nice touch.

This hotel is really new, the rooms are super clean and it smells good. The breakfast is very good, egg bacon, pancake, and everything that is continental breakfast. I also took advantage of the spa after several hours of driving, it was very clean, the swimming pool area. Something to eat for sale at reception.

Stayed here while attending a family funeral. Our party of 8 consisted of 3 generations--four were children 10 and under. The pool, slide and hot tub entertained us all and were very relaxing. Rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Some may find the price a bit high, but considering the amenities and the really nice continental breakfast, its a good value. My only suggestion would be to have more dairy-free or gluten-free options for the breakfast.

Good location, clean and new, slippery shower and they do not have a non-slip mat. great swimming pool and spa and there is also a giant indoor slide

Very clean and quiet at a reasonable cost. Thats it for the 2 stars. On the other hand, very poor service at reception because one receptionist was downright stupid at reception and the other gave us poor explanations about the lunch schedule and no explanation about the activities in the hotel. In addition, she spoke extremely quickly and her language was incomprehensible. Avoid as much as possible.

Was great place to rest..

This is the first time in 22 years of performing on the road that I have had to pay $289 ($335 with taxes) for a hotel room! An embarrassing price exaggeration given the type of hotel. Taking advantage of demand and the fact that you are almost always fully booked for a long time does not justify this exorbitant price. Its clean and good as a hotel but its never worth the price.

Nice hotel in general, $350 a night for two beds without a holiday in the middle of the week. No cosmetics in the bathroom room with a towel to dry for three days no came to clean the room in three days. The trash cans were full. Too bad there is only one elevator for all the multi-story buildings, sometimes it was a very long wait. The public toilet on the first level was not clean. Almost no parking available - in the evenings

Home: Great! We had asked for the collaboration of the staff because our stay was a gift from Santa Claus. The person when we arrived was exceptional. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The pool and slide are great. We loved our stay. Thank you to the staff for helping us provide a memorable Christmas for our children.

The employees are very friendly. Thanks to Laurie (night receptionist) who helped us a lot. Very good customer service. A small downside: we asked for a baby bed for a week; but when I arrived, the bed was not in the room. We waited until 8 p.m. to get it. My baby was exhausted. :(

Very helpful and friendly staff. Easy to get what we need Very well stocked reception counter, elevator. Free coffee in the hallway near the elevator. ATM, swimming pool and spa with a large water slide. Gym. Towels are provided for the pool. Good free hot lunch. We rented an adapted room. Clean, very comfortable and spacious. Room to move around the bed and switches and sockets as well as accessible equipment. The bed is a little high and it requires a good arm and in my opinion it is preferable to be able to stand at least a little to make the transfer. For me it was ok but for someone who cant stand at all the transfer could be complicated. The shower curtain is a little short so you have to put something on the floor so it doesnt slip when you get out but we raised this with the wonderful reception staff and the comment was very well received and they will surely work to correct the situation. Very pleasant stay.

We didnt stay here since all the rooms were already rented, however I wanted to let customer service know. At the reception, they made several calls to the surrounding hotel-motel to help us find a room. Their efforts have paid off...what excellent service.

Super nice place!! Great for children, the well-designed water slide because the children dont fall into the pool when they slide... great for not watering the adults in the pool... the only small criticism is just that they dont have any king beds its a shame otherwise its perfect!!

Thanks to Lynda, who provided A1 customer service. We had reserved the room with Booking and the cost of the room changed following receipt of the email. No more reservations with Booking. Lynda took care of everything. Their customer service is excellent and very rare. We hope his boss is aware of this, the employees on the ground being the face of the company.

I love this hotel. It s the only hotel, I stay at now that it s opened. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. My children love the pool and slide here. At times, I travel with my pets :) They are always welcome. It s nice to know the first floors is reserved for our pets. Keep up the good work, Staff in these scary times :) COVID-19 hasn t stopped my family and I from travelling. I feel safe here. It s so clean and spacious. See you all again in a few weeks.
