Great breakfast spot in Valdor. The staff Was quick and friendly. The food was some good old classics, but done well 😉 highly recommend.

Not speaking French, always worried about communicating. They have an English menu, and the waitress spoke both languages. Our food was amazing, we will be back.
The service was terrible, unfriendly and not a place for non locals😢 We felt very ignored and waited for over an hr to be served our breakfast. I can't help to think the waitress didn't like us at all because she practically threw their straws down at my children and really avoided us. When we mentioned it to the waitresses, they blamed it on being understaffed even though we saw quite a few people who came in after us getting friendly servers and their food in a timely manner. I think our server didn't like us because we're different.
I must say that as a stop over in Val d’Or this place can really help out in a time of need. I came here the morning after a night out drinking and it hit all the right spots. An « everything » plate is hard to miss and this was no exception. What really drove it home for me was the quality of the cretons as it was very good. The waiting staff was nice and came by enough without crossing into the area of being annoying.

19Oct2024 Meal this afternoon. Very disinterested cold and rude welcome from the hostess even after friendly mention to show a smile. Back of her head, the young girl makes a face at me, she is definitely out of place. She cleans my table badly, I have to ask her to please remove the stubborn crumbs. Who is the always absent owner? ...its often the same experience at this restaurant. My waitress was sulking at me, no service, I had to stop her at the end of my meal to ask her if she was my waitress, to please reheat my coffee and bring me some butter for my crusts. The eggs were undercooked inside... YES BOSS!! Luckily you dont have competition in Val DOr, you would go bankrupt!! Luckily Jannie warmed up the atmosphere of the restaurant with her kindness, her warm and impeccable service, her class and her magnificent smile. Ill know which section to sit in if I go back. The manager checked off too! I thanked him for his sincere listening and support when I shared my dissatisfaction with him. MOVE OVER BOSS, Jannie and the manager are the key people to fully manage, CARTE BLANCHE your floor, your business -- if the SUCCESS of Customer Service, your Reputation and your BUSINESS are a lower priority for you.
Errors in two of the three plates. Toasts that are not buttered. Napkins no better than at McDonalds. Bénédictine 2.0 does not deserve its stars. Value for money non-existent. Disappointing to the highest degree.

Im going to stop because every time theres something negative 5 times, 1 time 6 everything was perfect September 2023 2nd time passable cold plates, 3rd time flies flies, 4 times boom boom PeKno music for lunch klys, 5th time last February 3 Always 2 good Benedictine lunch bill less than $50 I think 42 or 47 $ I leave a tip to the waitress she is insulting the blonde she doesnt take the change my paper $5 yes, But not the $8 to change the $2 $,1 really sad poor thing. I like to have my plate hot and no need for PEKNO music at lunch And the service too thank you

I waited 40 minutes before having my lunch and even the people arriving 10 minutes later were served before us.. my lunch had cheese oil coming out of the top because they left it on the stove for too long .. Why? I don t know last time I showed up at this restaurant

Unlike the first visit at 4 , 5 weeks have passed Friday October 3, 2023, 7:30 am +- (2 eggs benedict, banana creme custard) 2 people $$ Music pekno bomm bomm bomm in the morning for lunch watching the customers in the dining room were 45+ years old many+ retired some families with children probably the music of the staff and an ordeal of flies which paced our dishes from table to table. My partner asked the waitress to lower the volume, a lot of effort - 1 volume not too low and I asked the waitress for a fly killer and the answer is: they are house flies -2 service So much for the atmosphere -3 less from the first visit My dish the same portion ok but cold or freight its up to you to choose and the flies extra -3 For the music, keep it in the kitchen at the back, it really ruined our outing.
Mr. The owner of Bénédictine sorry you did not receive my comment. For the cuisine and the service I give you 5 stars. The dissatisfaction was for the atmosphere. It was 8am in the morning, sitting at the back of the room under the sound box with techno music, I kindly asked the waitress to turn down the sound and it was the end of the world. When I went to the restaurant for lunch, I didnt want to be in the atmosphere of a nightclub. I have just learned that there is another Bénédictine in Val Dor, during my next visit I will be happy to go and discover it. Your menu is varied and I really like it. Another comment get rid of flies before opening.

Good lunch, clean restaurant and good service. Parking is paid and ordinary. I was disappointed with the ratio of roast pork to bologna on the casserole plate. Overall I recommend in the Val d Or region.
