Lovely space in the West End perfect for a small, intimate group or date, or solo dinner. You feel like you’re in a super authentic Northern Chinese restaurant with the decor and flavour to match. Went here on a Sunday night, and it was decently busy with a few tables filled and lots of to go orders. The server was pleasant and efficient, and worked very hard. The dry and wet noodles were fresh, flavourful, and special. We talked about it again the next day! I’m so glad we visited this place. Easy to find, and perfect for dinner especially during these cold nights.
Finally found a decent lamb bread soup (paomo). The broth was flavourful and the meat was excellent quality, unlike other places that serve fatty, grisly low quality pieces of meat. Hand pulled noodles are also great
We were disappointed with the lack of flavour. We ordered for pick up and at home we had to add chili oil, soy sauce and rice vinegar to enjoy noodles. The beef roll was nothing like what you get at Peaceful restaurant, it was dry and again not a lot of flavour. The “chili pork” was not spicy at all, even my 3 year old ate it. It had evidence of some chili because there were red bits in it, but chili peppers must be so old to produce zero heat. I did enjoy the tender chunks of beef brisket in the noodles, and the noodles itself were nice and were cooked well, but again, they just need to add more flavours. Portions were good.. but I won’t be ordering from here again.
Best noodles in Vancouver. This place is so cute and the food is 10/10 every time. I always order the Lemon Garlic noodles and it is THE BEST. Run, don’t walk.
I ordered a chicken noddles and this is what they serve boiled chicken with no spice taste on the noodles. I would not suggest this place to anyway. My order was for uber pick and they basically served me boiled noodles with some color and boiled chicken which is completely tasteless. This was my first time trying this restaurant and would probably never come back.
I wanted to try this place out because the reviews were so good but the food was not it. It just didn't taste good. The siu Mai tasted like it was from a frozen pack from the grocery store. My friend was craving noodles so I took her here but I felt so embarrassed. The server was really nice though.
Beautiful restaurant. Great staffs, foods really tasty. It’s great to see such great prices in 2024, especially for the generosity of the portions and quality of foods. We will go back.
A coolish Vancouver evening was warmed by delicious Legendary Noodle Soups. The restaurant is extremely tiny inside however we lucked out and got the last of the wooden benched tables to dine in at. There was one server and she was run off her feet. She had a smile the entire time and provided us with excellent service. Everything came very promptly. We ordered Beef Oxtail Soup and Noodle Dumpling Soup. Noodles are homemade and you have your choice of size (thin/thick or flat). They were perfectly cooked while the broth flavours were well balanced. The five dumplings in amongst the noodles were chewy and flavourful. Additional chilli oil and soy sauce were available to add at the table. The soup was surprisingly filling. Only complaint was that my bowl had several chips in it and should have been taken out of service. Otherwise “5” stars. Will definitely be back to try more Legendary Noodle dishes on my next visit to Vancouver!
A West End gem for fresh food and fast friendly service. Love the cumin lamb dishes Food
This place isn t a shadow of what it once was. The food is bland and tasteless, and the wooden, un-cushioned seating is beyond uncomfortable. Shame. Food
I ordered online as I saw the reviews it was good. It is not. The chicken wok fried noodles with chicken was so bland and the pieces of chicken was on top of the noodles and completely dry. Spent $40 what a waste. Do not order from them. Mall Chinese food is even better.
We had the best noodles of our lives here. We ordered the cut noodles with pork, and they were amazing. Chewy, flavorful.....we couldnt stop eating them and cant wait to come back!
Food was fresh, tasty, and delicious. We went past lunch rush. Service was courteous, professional and fast.
nice authentic chinese place with delicious food
Tasty food and nice stuff!
Authentic northwest chinese food! Im chinese :)
Really delicious food. The homemade noodles are incredibly delicious. The service is very friendly and unobtrusive. Absolute recommendation!
This was one of our favorite places for years, and we always loved it. However, in the last few visits, we ve noticed a decline in both the quality and quantity of the food. It even seems like the noodles have changed. It s disappointing because we really enjoyed the food and the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we wont be returning.
Do not recommend it! Ordered a Beef Brisket Wok Fried Cut Noodle online and it just had 2 very small pieces of brisket and almost no veggie at all Food
Best noodles Ive had, very good price, great service Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan/vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcomed, very nice and easy place
Very bland and average noodle restaurant. Noodles were all different sizes and width. Had the cold noodle, taste like all they did was warm up peanut butter and mixed the noodles in. The Szechuan noodle was also missing flavour. Ok portions could be bigger. The salt and pepper chicken also bland and no punch. Where s flavour town? Not here
Definitely a must when living in the West End. Noodles are made fresh everyday!
Placed Uber Eats order for Chicken Wok fried noodles. Literally 3 small bits of chicken in a whole container of noodles. Ultimately it was a tub of rice noodles, in some sauce. It would have been easier to send the dish back, if I was dining in. I called the restaurant, to inform them of their quality of food. They never bothered to fix the issue.
Amazing noodles, friendly helpful staff, excellent prices. I tried the chicken curry with thick noodles, salt and pepper chicken, khao soi and milk tea, and they were all incredible.
The hostess was incredibly nice, and provided amazing service! It was pretty hot when we went, so our group drank lots of water, and the hostess noticed so she offered us our own water jug. Also, the food was delicious - I recommend getting a thick noodle dish! The chicken curry wok stir fried noodles was amazing. Vegetarian options: They have tofu :)
It is legendary for a reason! Delicious noodles!
Lots of different noodle dishes that made me wish I came with people so I could try more of the food. I got the Lanzhou noodles and would love to try their dry noodles next time.
The food is not very good. The noodles are handmade, but the taste is not very appealing. It s good price, the service is excellent; but the food is not worth lt And to decorate the place, don t put old signage for past victories, looks like you stay in the past and doesn t welcome the new things to come.
Delicious noodle dishes & dumplings made from scratch, and very reasonably priced with a cool atmosphere Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian dishes, some with tofu, others just veg
Excellent Noodle House.
Cool spot, great service, yummy hand pulled noodles. I had the spicy pork ramen, it was good but hardly spicy.
Great hand-made on the spot noodles!!
small cozy restaurant with delicious food and good prices
Went here on a recommendation from friends. Tried stir fried noodles, scallion pancake, sui mai and XLB. Also tried the ginger beef from friends. Everything was good. The problem with living in Vancouver is that the Chinese in this city and top tier. I would put everything we had here just a notch below some of the other top dumpling and noodle spots in the city. Maybe I need to try some other items and chance my review but for the meantime it s a 4/5 for me. Service was excellent.
I was expecting to like this place given the reviews but it was not good. I had the peanut noodles with an egg. It was cold and mushy noodles in a bland sauce. The beans had strings that i almost choked on. The egg was overcooked it was brown. If i can make a dish at home, and probably 10x better, then It s not a place worth going. Home made ice tea was good, and good service too. But 25$ for this feels like a rip off unfortunately.
The customer service is really bad,she slammed everything an the table. And the food was bad to, the noodles so sticky. And the waitress was so angry because we dont give a good tip. Never come back.
Delicious food, excellent service, reasonable prices.
This place is really tiny and you don t think much of it on the outside. But once inside you are transported somewhere else. The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant is amazing. The dishes are even better, I really appreciate the menu has pictures. Everything we ordered was great. Obviously, try any of their noodle dishes. You won t be disappointed.
The noodles were the best noodles I ve ever eaten!! I love to come here all time and it s so nice to eat inside there.
We ordered Vermicelli Spinach and Pea Shoots as appetizers. Pea shoots tastes fine but texture is very chewy, Vermicelli Spinach tastes off I think they mixed sauces wrong. We got Beef oxtail and Tibetan noodles as main, they are all great
This was our second trip to Legendary Noodle. It was even better this time. The food was great and the service was very pleasant! We arrived around 2pm and had a great meal.
The cozy, hidden Asian restaurant is in Denman. The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing with welcoming and warm staff. The service was great. We were so excited to try our food. We order three bowls of Oxtails soup which was so bad, it s dimpling had really bad smell and taste. Also we got lamb noodle soup that was good but it had the smell amount of lambs so close to nothing and we tried The Lan zhou beef noodles that was the best one between the soup we ordered. We also got the ginger beef which was so yummy.
The Noodle soup was so heavy all three dishes we ordered were bad unfortunately
We got Ginger Beef starter, Creamy Peanut with Chicken&flat noodles, and Chicken&Curry cut noodles. Really gross, the ginger beef was overcooked and chewy, flavourless and smelled like fish. The creamy peanut was cold sauce and cold chicken with old noodles, they were really gross and with no flavour or actual peanuts at all.. I felt sick. The Chicken&Curry tasted like cigarettes and package curry mix, bland and dry chicken but at least this dish was warm? Do not waste your time eating here, after we told the waitress how we felt and didnt like the meal for the reasons I listed she said she would tell the chef but didnt offer to take anything off of our bill. Please go to burger king down the road instead, like we did after spending 50$ here. We still tipped.
The environment is kind of small and insignificant, especially if you look at it from the outside. The service is attentive, though the food is mediocre and overrated, and the proportion is not impressive. The price is ok compared to other restaurants on the block.
It s like I was back in Nanjing! We ordered fried rice, ginger beef, hand pulled noodles, and soup dumplings. All were 10/10. Everything tasted home made. You can t beat homemade.
The beef brisket was phenomenal
Yum :) had XLB plus some of their beef soups. Perfect flavour and texture for a cold winter day. Liked the cozy and slow paced atmosphere during lunch time.
We fell to the 4.4star trap. The reason for two stars is the fact that I had to reorder the food and they brought me two one star dishes. the pork tasted terrible and couldnt eat it, and the secod dish was ok but very greasy and salty. FYI, This is the first time I had to reorder a meal.
Good foods and frienfly.
Comfort food at its finest
Delicious noodles. Good service.
Best meal we had in Vancouver! It was like dinner and a show since we got lucky enough to be seated at a table along side the kitchen. The hand cut stir fry noodles were sooooo good, as were the soup dumplings and scallion pancake!
Amazing simply one of the best places to eat in Vancouver
I wasnt expecting it but it was delicious
Loved this hole in the wall noodle house! We tried the Lanzhou noodle soup and chicken curry noodles. The noodles were so fresh and had amazing texture. Lanzhou broth was a little underseasoned, but it was easy enough to remedy this with the complimentary soy sauce and vinegar, which the server was very happy to provide me with when I asked. Scallion pancakes were crispy and tasty. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, you can see them making noodles in the kitchen and they had lovely indie folk music playing on the radio. If we were here in Vancouver for longer Id definitely come back here again :)
Like being in an old canton caboose. Many street alleys in China look like this place. Very authentic feeling and great Peking dishes. Antique wooden features like a museum. Quiet peaceful atmosphere. Friendly service. Fun to watch kitchen staff cook behind the panel. I will return for broth noodles.
Lets order some noodles, this salted crispy chicken is a bit sloppy
The noodle soup was fantastic. Fresh made noodles make food here the best.
Crazy good service. Waitress heard my friends chopsticks fall and ran to give them new ones without question. The interior is beautiful. The food was so good and very good prices. The siu mai was really good tastes like homemade. The noodles were so delicious and well made. Best noodles I ve ever had. The broth was perfect, the flavours weren t overwhelming. The dumplings in my soup tasted perfect.
Simply delicious. Broth of dumpling noodle soup looks simple but tastes perfect.
What a terrific gem of a place. Came here without any expectations, but was blown away by the quality of the food, terrific level of service, and great atmosphere. The noodles were freshly hand made on the spot! Love it! I will surely be back!
Great neighborhood spot
Love this place. Cheap filling food made in house. Try the cut noodles Vegetarian options: Many options for vegetarian. Just check if they are truly vegan Food : 5/5 |
Their food is for white people if you re asian don t come here. Tastes like
The noodles are made in front of you and the sauces are delicious! I recommend the black bean sauce
I always appreciate when I see owners responding to reviews. I don t know how to respond to your response so I ll edit my original review here My wife and I tried legendary noodle for the first time for take out and received a pretty poor quality order. I didn t feel the need to slander your business publicly with details since it may have been a one-off occurrence so I simply left 1 star to reflect the quality of our one and only experience. But thank you for asking To summarize, we ordered the beef spinach soup, chicken wok fried noodles and xia jiao shrimp dumplings. The wok fried noodles were passable but not all that flavourful. Had this been the only dish I would say 3.5/5 stars? More toppings would bring it to 4 or 5 stars as the noodles were pretty good- but made up of 90% of the dish. We actually didn t even eat the soup at all because the broth was like a bland grassy taste and the beef was mostly just pieces of chewy fat. The dumplings just had me confused. When I opened the box they had each fallen apart with the inside shrimp balls as the only loose edible part while the outer wrappings of every dumpling had stuck to the sides of the box like melted plastic would to a cardboard box and couldn t be peeled off to even eat. I should have taken photos but I just ate the shrimp insides and we shared the wok noodles and threw out the soup. Hopefully this was all just a one time thing since your other reviewers sound happy?
Truly legendary
We quite enjoyed this place. Nice booths for groups. If course a lot of noodle options. Good portions and nice price. There s also an ice cream place right nearby in case you want some dessert. We hung out for hours after dinner and the staff were nice enough not to ask us to leave we even stayed past closing hours ( without realizing of course)
Tasty and good sized portions.
It was good, a little heavy
The best restaurant for Asian food in west end . Nice and cozy vibes with classical interiors . Love the customer service .
Our waiter was very sweet, and the noodles were so delicious. I recommend the lemon garlic noodles
Great, cozy little neighborhood place to eat! The brisket on rice was fantastic, and the vinaigrette for the dumplings is simply phenomenal. If I had to say downsides, its that the one server seemed to have a lot on her plate with all the customers (it was a Friday night). The hardwood benches get a little uncomfortable after a while. But I still rate it five stars because honestly, those downsides are minimal--if anything its like 4.9999 stars. The restaurant is awesome, give it a shot.
Do NOT order the salt & pepper chicken, vegetables, nor the stir fried beef - everything was extremely greasy to a point where we had to bake the grease out or simply throw the food out. I used to love this place before covid, I really do hope the owners can reevaluate and bring back the quality. (Giving one extra star because of the decent service but food was not edible.)
The food, service, and atmosphere at Legendary Noodle were all excellent. The noodles were served hot and fresh. The beef, chicken, and vegetables were also flavorful and cooked well. It doesn t get better than this. The atmosphere and staff were warm and inviting. It was a comfortable environment to spend time with a friend and with standout food and tea.
I liked their noodles. It was tasty. The mood was so warm and watching making noodles was fun
Best noodles ever!
We came into this hidden gem after a day of exploring for lunch. The homemade noodles are worth the wait! We ordered the soup buns, house tea, pork chive, and the beef brisket. Everything was amazing, but what stood out to me the most was the soup buns! The service was great, definitely recommend!
Delicious noodles, hand made. It was all very good and the service was very good as well.
This is my favorite noodle place ever and they do so much more than noodles. All their dishes are delicious and a good price. They make their own noodles on site as well. Cant recommend enough!
Ordered the Lemon Garlic thin Noodles and Cut Noodles with Prawns. We could eat only half the plate as these Noodles was soaking with OIL. I ever told the waitress when she asked how it was, but they did not try to redo it.
The noodles were not very good. They had this weird slimy salty sauce I did not care for. Also, the place is very cramped.
Our server was very sweet and helpful. The food was so good and it felt clean.
This place was so good !
The shaved noodles are good. The little crispy pork is old. There is no air conditioning in the room and it is quite hot. There were people coming and going outside facing the street, and it was not very comfortable to sit there. Everything else is very good
Wonderful hand pulled noodles
Best hand pulled ramen in Canada. Stop there every single time we are in Vancouver like a pilgrimage. We order the beef brisket each time and can never finish. Go there later in the day rather than early. Gives the soup and broth time to settle
Honestly the most disgusting food Ive ever tasted, tried it 5 years ago and it was cold and uncooked, tried again a few weeks ago because a friend wanted to eat there...even worse this time!!
Noodles are made right there, food looks great, but is missing the special taste. Service lousy.
Nice restaurant, great food, reasonable prices. They are making their own very delicious noodles.
Could see the chef making fresh noodles in the kitchen. We all enjoyed our meals, would certainly return again.
Fantastic atmosphere, and the food is even better
This place is a hidden gem noodles are fresh, great flavour and lots of vego options for non-meat eaters. Will be coming more often
Fantastic
very delicious noodles, Id come back any time
Very cool little Chinese restaurant with absolutely authentic Chinese dishes. We lived in China for three years and am happy to be able to enjoy Chinese potato salad and handmade noodles again. First class!
Little authentic gem. We love this place so much that every time we come to Vancouver we stop by. Homemade noodles, good and fast service, and intimate atmosphere. Food : 5/5
Quiet and cosy. Hand made noodles were the perfect choice for a rainy evening. We shared stir fried flat noodles with chicken and curry and a bowl of fat noodles with beef brisket. Piping hot and freshly prepared. Both were flavourful and there were no leftovers! We may be back to try other menu items. We returned a year later and were disappointed to discover that our meal was not as flavourful and enjoyable as our previous dining experience. The spicy beef brisket cut noodles and cut noodle stir fried prawns tasted bland and as tired as the décor. Probably won t return.
Amazing dim sum, delicious dumplings. Not my favorite scallion pancakes but overall awesome!
As soon as you enter, you feel like you have stepped into a restaurant in China. The decor, smell of the food, the energy of the place - they all add to the feeling. It feels like an efficient family run restaurant. It felt like the parents were running the kitchen (it is an open kitchen) themselves and the admin/waiting was taken care of by the daughter. The waitress was very helpful in explaining the order and the favourites. We ordered the favourites and we weren t wrong. It was super yummy and authentic in flavour. We saw the noodles being made fresh. They have 3 types of noodles. There are a various customisations available using various add-ins. Along with the tasty food, it was an additional treat to see the chefs in the kitchen at work. Highly recommended.
Food was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef!! Definitely going back again!
This place is like an abusive relationship you keep going back to because it was so good in the beginning you cant help yourself! They used to win awards for their food, everything was delicious and consistent. Now the only consistent thing about it is the mistakes and bad service! And the gas lighting! Im addicted to their hot and sour dumpling soup. It used to be full of vegetables and 6 dumplings. Then they decided to secretly change it to noodles (they wont admit it) now its 4 dumplings AND noodles (and almost no vegetables). Dont bother asking for no noodles all dumplings, they wont get it right. One month they were putting off bamboo shoots in and they said I just didnt like bamboo shoots (I just kept ordering it and picking them out until they bought fresh bamboo). For about a year it tasted like an entire bottle of worchestershire, Id add water and vinegar and chili crisp and hope it would get better eventually! Its been 5 years sinse its been good. Yesterday I paid for extra dumplings and what did they give me? Shrimp wonton! Theyd probably swear thats how the dish always comes! So, Im breaking up with you Legendary Noodle (dont get me started on your $3 for 3 tiny pieces of meat add on). If anyone knows where I can find a consistently good dependable hot and sour dumpling soup Id really appreciate it.
I ve always liked this place. Visited again for the first time since what seemed like forever I come to the west end as often as halley s comet visits Earth. I had the Lanzhou Beef Noodles, still good but slightly saltier than I remembered. I still like the atmosphere though. It was overall a nice late dinner.
Great food, great staff, can t ask for more.
Best noodle place for well over a decade. Homemade and delicious. Go there, dont do takeout, and get the spinach vermicelli to start along with some dumplings.
Service is good. A great place if you are hungry for noodles. Prices are good too.
I eat here everytime I come to Vancouver. The CUT noodles are indeed LEGENDARY and they are also NOODLES so the name is pretty much bang on. I go for the Cumin Lamb most of the time.
Nice noodle place in downtown Vancouver. Good and fast service and nice delicious food.
The food was bad but appetizer Was soo goood Food
Overall great value; stir fly noodles are great, the soup noodle was just alright. Big portions and nice staff.
Honestly the most authentic noodles in the city. Beautifully freshly made and broths are piping hot and delicious. Small side items are lovely too. Great unique place with historical link to west end. Still has the original ciao mirrors from the coffee shop it used to be in the 70 s and 80 s. Just a west end must visit gem. Lovely staff.
I went by the Broadway location on Monday and thought it might have shutdown because of all the construction. We Google other locations and found this place on Denman. I enjoy their hospitality and their portions and selection of their foods.
Visiting from out of town. This place was a huge surprise. The veg options have veg broth and good stir fry. Their scallion pancake was a bit disappointing but at least it was handmade. I had the snow peas leaves stir fry and veg soup!
Quantity! Quantity! Quantity! Quality is also good. Noodles are home-made. Friendly behavior. I only hope pan-fried noodles should be little less oily - but thats it. I surely go again.
Not anywhere close to what it used to be. Food isn t as fresh or as tasty, service is very slow. Used to love this place, but it has gone down hill.
Really nice interior and atmosphere, good for a casual dinner or a nicer evening out. Food was amazing and so was the service.
This place lives up to the name because it truly is LEGENDARY. Walking in, I felt nostalgic for a place I d never been - that says something. The noodles were top shelf and the service was exceptional. Please come here, it won t disappoint.
Delicious food, good service. A bit cramped but well worth it.
Authentic Lanzhou noodles, and good price
Amazing tasting food. Found this place on TripAdvisor and Ill be going back. Noodles to die for.
From the outside looks like a nice little noodle stop. Once experiencing the food though we found the soup to be bland with to much noodles and not enough protein or vegetables. Service was nice but the chef messed up our order and blamed it on the waitress. I could make make a better bowl of noodle soup at home.
Delicious and reasonably priced!
Fresh, tasty, delicious! Pasta made on site. We paid $37 for two (large) portions of pasta, plus a beer and a coke. I recommend it, a 5 star restaurant!
Funky and fabulous! Small, full service restaurant with handmade noodles and dumplings - beyond delicious, generous bowl portions, and reasonably price. A great find, and highly recommend.
Nice little place in English Bay with Asian decor that gives it a more authentic feel. Had a nice mix of noodles, meat, and vegetables which was easy to eat like a great home-cooked meal. Didnt leave my hungry afterwards but not full either
To see the noodles being made was mesmerising. Great value eatery in Vancouver for really fresh food!
Deicious food and polite staff.
Excellent food.
A great noodle place that felt slightly hidden in open sight. Got the new zealand Lamb noodle option with the salt pepper chicken appetizer. The appetizer was so-so but the noodles were absolutely amazing. Would go here again.
I had a terrible experience eating there. The server was very unprofessional and rude as well. The food was below average as well.
I love this place! Their noodles are the best I ve ever had and they have lots of options! This time I got the Garlic and Lemon dish with the thick noodles, and the Xia Jiao Shrimp Dumplings! It s literally my favorite place and I ll keep coming back for years. Fast service too!
Cute place but the Lanzhou noodle soup was very thin and not much flavor. Handpulled noodles were good but overdone.
AMAZING! The noodles are made there by hand and all of the food is simply the best! The place is small and a little old, but dont get discouraged by the looks, since the food is totally worth it. I love the Asian greens, xiao long bao and every noodle soup.
Ordered the black bean noodle bowl which was really poor. The dish was too oily, they used ground pork which I thought unusual, broccoli was non existent, and not really any black bean taste. I like to support family businesses but this is not a restaurant I would return to.
Chicken Szechuan is delicious.
You can eat good noodles there! Also, they are prepared fresh. I can definitely recommend to go there.
Delicious hand pulled noodles! We had curry chicken wok fried noodles and pan fried pork and chive dumplings. The best and also cheapest meal weve had in Vancouver this whole trip.
Absolutely fantastic food.
Can t go wrong with most of the menu. Good noodle spot.
Excellent noodles, great price for Vancouver. Good service
Lanzhou Ramen tastes great.
Horrible customer service. Would give -5 stars if I could. Came with a friend and were met with extremely cold and rude attitude. We were too hungry and tired to look for other place so we decided to stay. The waiter didnt even greet and immediately went with what do you want?. Then came a couple of times to our table staring at us without saying anything. Just looking at us. Eventually he came 5 minutes after the food was served and demanded to pay for it while we were obviously in the middle of eating. They did everything to make us feel unwanted like we were trying to steal their food which was average at best. Avoid at all cost. Save yourself from their horrible service and overpriced food. If you walk down the street you will find plenty of much better and cheaper options around Denman and Robson area.
The best noodles in town, period.
With the name Legendary noodle , 4+ stars on google, and hand-pulled noodles, I was expecting something delicious and heart-warming. It wasn t that at all. I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup. In the photo on the menu, it depicts multiple, thick slices of beef that covers 80% of the noodles. What I got was basically a bowl of broth and noodles, with a few meagre pieces of what looked like bone scrapings. And two sprigs of spinach. As per another reviewer: the noodle and meat/veggie ratio is completely imbalanced. Even having ordered an additional portion of beef, it was still lacking. My partner ordered rice and ginger beef, and a plate of dumplings, and the ratio was disproportionate as well for both. I left feeling hungry. If you re looking for something hearty, authentic, and doesn t use carbs as filler, I d recommend going elsewhere.
Very much enjoyed Legendary Noodle. We had a group of 4. We were seated promptly. Everyone liked their food.
Absolute top notch. Noodles are beyond reproach. I always get the veggie/garic with extra veg on flat noodles. Get xtra veg, always. Marinated tofu in tow. A real powerhouse of vegetarian delight. Seriously, the marinated tofu, absolutely amazing. Not enough words to describe how great this place is. There is only one other noodle place to rival this on Denman and its Italian. Vegetarian options: There are lots use your brain,
Read about this place in NY Times as a place for good noodles. Stopped by for lunch and ordered ginger beef for take out. It was all fat.. every piece of beef was fat not any beef. Maybe if I ate in I would have received beef dish. Terrible and quite disappointing.
By far the best noodles Ive ever tried. Handmade, fresh, great taste. Teas are also unique. Good prices, service... definitely I love this place.
Awful food!!!!!. We couldn t eat. Also super dirty restaurant!!!! Never again!!! Don t go !!!
Noodles are delicious and fresh! I love that I can tell the noodles were made and cut by hand (chewy with substance) and there are a variety of ways to enjoy them: in soup, dry, stir fry! You can also choose the meat and flavor: creamy, spicy...etc. I am so glad to find authentic Chinese noodle places in my neighborhood! Prices are also reasonable!
Low quality
Not the cleanest or the fastest , but the food tastes amazing and the price is super good , especially for the area
I love this really hidden gem in the west end. Their hand made noodles are really worth the wait. I had the oxtail with hand cut noodles recently, and their super yummy broth is very clean and seasoned very authentically. Theres not a ton of seating in this very intimate dining room, but the staff are kind and the portions are generous. I would highly recommend this on the next raining night out, or get it delivered to your house on uber eats. Would recommend this little family owned spot, in a heart beat!
Mega authentic atmosphere. Noodles are freshly prepared. Large portions. Good price/performance ratio. Different aromas in the broths. Staff was nice. Local is well located. Walking distance to the beach
Amazing food, great value for money and the service is fast and friendly! Great gluten free and vegetarian options. Highly recommended! Food
One of the best places for economising in Vancouver. Massive, delicious portions and great hand pulled noodles. I go every time Im in town.
Vegetarian options: Many options Food
Probably my favourite place to eat downtown. Everything is always so delicious.
Very quiet and cozy place, great food, and I recommened if you would pass through Denman St.
Noodles are perfect! Service is wonderful! Price is fine! The soup.... is a bit weak. Not much flavour.
Great menu with lots of variety. Noodles are made fresh to order and are absolutely delicious.
Cute and delicious. Only negative thing was the 15% tip already added into the bill and was still asking for tips. Didn t tell us good thing we found out.
Yummy noodles, takeout order ready and hot when picked-up at scheduled time.
Sauces are not overly full of flavour. I ordered the peanut noodles and there was literally no peanut flavor and it was runny with yellowed broccoli and two green beans. Had not been in a few years and now I remember why. Noodles themselves are good, just nothing else that with came with. It was dead on a Friday dinner hour so I guess that says something.
Middling. Not particularly flavourful, I shared two dishes with a friend and aside from spiciness it was difficult to distinguish them.
This place randomly caught out eye while driving down the street. Place is not too impressive from the outside but food is AMAZING. We got fried rice, cumin lamb noodles, shrimp dumplings, pea shoots, ginger beef and some other dumplings. All items were great and the chili oil was delicious, amazing service as well! I would 100% recommend this place, try it out you wont regret it!
I visit them based on the reviews, but I come to regret it. Worse experience in long time. I arrived just as they opened, so it was empty but become packed very quick. The server was very busy, thus the service very slow. The spiced oil jar was empty, same for the soy sauce. After waiting for a while to get their attention (like 10min or so), I had to go in the front and show them the empty spiced oil jar. Took them another 5 min to bring me a replacement. The replacement was taken from another table and was holding abut 1/2 inch at the bottom of another dirty jar. My food was already cold at that point. Noodles made in house? yes, but I found the food being bland and not particularly tasty. Anyway, there were a couple of more hiccups and at the and I asked for the bill. I was looking to tip 10% as I wasnt at all happy. To my surprise, 15% was already added to the bill and the terminal handed to me to pay with the credit card was asking me to make my choice between several options of other tips starting at 15% and not a word about the other 15% already added. So, you go there and you should tip 30% by default I imagine... I got pistoff. I intended to tip 10, but at this point I said I want to pay only the bill and the food and drinks that I had. Sorry, we cant remove the tip, you have to pay that. How come? It is added automatically as you ordered so many dishes and the kitchen is more busy and you have to pay for that... Soo many dishes? It was a family out thing. two adults, three little ones. We had 3 junior meals and three other full sizes dishes. I hardly can call this many dishes. Usually the tip is added automatically when you are a party of 6 or 8 or more, depends by the number of persons served, not dishes out. Finally they found a way to remove the tip. I paid the bill and thats it. Not coming again ever. I was not impressed by the food and the service was bottom.
Really good quality, freshly made food. The noodles are a tad too greasy but still delightful
Really good food and great ambiance. The shrimp dumplings were delicious
The containers leaked out all the soup. We experienced Rude customer service. Their Website does not work and neither does Their phone number. We had to go there in person to make the order again. Legendary Noodle not so legendary.
Had the best food we ve eaten in ages!! Flavour was outstanding and huge portions! The waitress was so kind and the restaurant had great cozy vibes! Can t wait to come back Just added the pic of our food the veg & tofu fried udon was to die for the handmade noodles are unreal so saucy and delicious and huge portions. So worth 13$ I wish you guys had more locations I keep dreaming about this place
This is my go to noodle place since I moved in nearby (a short walk away). Ive been 3 times and all the noodle dishes have been delicious. Decent portions and a fair price too. No complaints.
If you are hungry this place will really fill you up, nice try
Very warm and intimate vibe. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. First time trying dumplings, amazing! You must give this place a try if you are around in town. Their shrimp dumplings, their spring rolls and and their lemon chicken are all great! Highly recommend it!
Must visit place <3
Best Chinese restaurant in this area.
BEWARE!!! They add service fee without telling you! Check your itemized bill. Food has too much oil. Mediocre taste. Also they ve charged service fee of 15% for our party of 5 without telling us (I have the receipt and the credit card slip to prove). Since we weren t aware of their con, we ve paid additional 20% on top of that.
Greetings, We have been living in the west end for over a decade. If you live in the west end you know, ordering take-outs, having dinners in the local restaurants, BBQ on third beach, is pretty much a daily thing, our tiny kitchens are used sparingly. We have been ordering from the local suspects for over a decade, Pizza, Greeks, Sushi... Including LN, always satisfied... A bit up a bit down. but nice. Tonight. I have no idea what happened. I gave my FN order to my dog. I could not eat it. It was not just blend it was, I do not know... have you ever eat meat that taste like warm watered paper? I then cooked a pair of Stitzels I had in the freezer. My partner said her food was 0K, nothing like usual and just like sustenance. I am really sad about this since LN has been a go-to place for us for a long time.
The chopped noodles are fabulous
One of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver.
The review is in the title. LEGENDARY! Seriously though, this place is really good. Not busy when we went around 5 pm. Soup dumplings are a must.
