Me and my family visited this place and ordered Italian dishes. The kids went on with lasagna and spaghetti, I got ravioli mushrooms and my wife ordered chicken parmesan with alfredo sauce. Food was decent and fresh and the waiter was also very accommodating and friendly

Stopped for lunch, rats running everywhere, horrible tasting food and no reduction for the bill for rats jumping on us and servers didn t care about rats and left it wandering around then it went into the kitchen and nothing was done!

Dropped in for just the Caesar on the patio after a rough day. Pleasant spot a bit above the street, so sidewalk ambiance without pedestrians checking your plate. Reset my weekend, Ill get inside next time. (Impeccable service.No attitude at all about my modest order.)

The Ravioli was delicious.The staff was rude, asked for the tip by saying we need to pay as a team on behalf of you guys if you don t provide tips. It s a culture here to do the tip. That s extremely inappropriate.

Ordered one of my favorite Ravioli pasta. Extremly Delicious. Staff lauri was really rude and when i asked for the cheque we paid it Nd paid the tip as welll and later she said we really appreciate ur help if you dont pay much tip then we need to pay and she taunted us to give more tip. She told thats its culture here to give tip and was being so rude . They r clearly asking for tip in this manner. I always loved this restaurant bcoz of my fav dish raviolis pasta but after this i wont be able to invite my friends Sadly saying i didnt felt welcoming and a bit embarrassed that we were treated like this

Summary: Mice infestation, humdrum service, and thoroughly mediocre Italian food. Listen, I love Ratatouille as much as the next millennial. But rodents in a restaurant in real life is terrifying. I first saw the furry intruder while eating complimentary bread and my heart almost exploded. And he returned, darting past our table in the main dining room throughout the meal. The waiter brushed off my concerns like this is a regular occurrence. Which ok but maybe a heads up so I don t choke on a breadstick? He explained they were excavating next door and mice are hard to catch and they won t bother you. But the hairy little bandit was zipping around like he owned the place, so it was a little hard to tune out. I would forgive the infestation if the food was good. But unfortunately it was thoroughly mediocre (had the pesto gnocchi and spaghetti carbonara) and the waiter was weirdly detached the whole time. No introduction, no smile, curt. To be fair, the rodent conversation was a real mood killer. This experience was next-level terrible and I feel like I succumbed to a tourist trap via the absurdly high reviews l don t think these reviewers understand good Italian food? I m not judging, but they should probably branch out a little more. I promise it only gets better.

Wanted to try Frankie s so we ordered a mushroom pizza and chicken Marsala through Uber eats and were very impressed with the quality and flavours of both items. Next step is to dine in.

We went in two nights ago for dinner while on holiday. They currently have a rodent problem - literal mice running around during dinner service. If we hadn t already ordered and felt rude to leave we should have left running. Surely a place should be closed until a rodent issue is resolved? Food was below mediocre, overcooked seafood in the linguine. The only plus was the waitress was nice and clearly felt guilty about the situation though it wasn t her fault.

I had beef dip sandwich and calamari. Calamari was probably the best I ever had! Beef dip was good. Dip was a bit too salty. The bread was nice. Also had veg benny and it was delicious! Cappuccino was good too!

We ate very well in this Italian restaurant. The setting was really pleasant as was the service. Everything was perfect we had a great time. Breakfast the next morning was also very good.

Server was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. I got a gluten free pizza that was pretty terrible, probably the worst one Ive gotten in a restaurant actually- the crust was thin and chewy, not in a good way; it was like a frozen pizza. The ceaser salad had polenta croutons that were good but there was only like 4 of them total. I felt safe as a celiac and there was lots of GF stuff on the menu to try, but definitely avoid the pizza. (If you want good GF pizza in the area go across the street to Per Se, its the best Ive ever had!) I would come back to try the other options though. Dietary restrictions: celiac, gluten free

Best lasagna

Booked a reservation for two people before a concert at Rogers Arena and had a lovely meal. We were seated at a table tucked away, which felt private - much appreciated! The meals were just delicious! Service was great - they were very accommodating about us being 10 minutes late. I will definitely be back for another meal and will recommend to family and friends.

The seafood pasta was amazing, very filling I had to take it home. Absolutely amazing servers they deserve At least a 30% every time. Amazing job guys

Great place to get a bite before a show. Foods delicious.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Decided to order room service while staying at the hotel. Besides the 18% auto grat, and $5 delivery charge to walk it 20 meters, the prices werent the worst I have seen. We ordered around 430 and were told 25min, the food showed up over a hour later. This is what were were greeted with: Veal - Meat was clearly cooked hours before serving, then reheated to the point of over cooking. Now just chewy chunks of leather covered in Campbells mushroom soup. The beans had less flavour than a warm cup of water, and the gratin was frozen, then cooked, then burnt, what was once soft is now hard. Pizza - Or should I say SALT block. Almost to the point of being not edible. Our dog wouldnt even touch it. Shrimp Tag - Overcooked gooey noodles, with overcooked rubber shrimp. Mmmm tasty. Spaghetti and Sauce - Custom order since they didnt have any kids options. Just sauce and Spaghetti, only thing that was edible thankfully for my daughter. All together this was $170 of complete disappointment and 3 adults still hungry. They should loose thier Italian Kitchen name for producing food that bad. I realized afterwards, the average clientele was 65+ and it started to make sense that they didnt need to make better food when their customers cant taste it. As someone from the industry I woudla have never order from there after seeing that red flag. Take note travellers.

We came in last Saturday after the Weezer concert and sat at the bar. Multiple waiters and the bartender ignored us for almost 10 minutes before someone eventually came and helped us. Even after helping us with drinks and food order, we were barely checked on..glasses sat empty for a while.

Having seen this restaurant while passing by, I finally decided to try it. We were lucky we got a table because this restaurant was packed early evening around 5 pm on a weekday! The service was outstanding and so was the food. I tried the arancini, risotto and the fungi pizza. Others on our table ordered the mussels, a shrimp pasta and another entree, and were very impressed with the food. Vegetarian options: Very vegetarian friendly with multiple different options.

We had a lovely get-together meal with friends, and I only have good things to say about the entire evening. The atmosphere was upscale and elegant, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, especially our waiter, John. They had vegetarian and vegan options for the food, which was delicious and beautifully served. I look forward to returning.

Went last night as I was staying at the Georgian Court Hotel, was really excited to see it was authentic and it did not disappoint. I got the Spaghetti Carbonara, made with the guanchale. the fococcia bread and the oil and balsamic was very well presented and my cheesecake I had for dessert was a perfect end to an amazing meal. The restaurant was quite busy when I was in so the prompt service was quite a nice site to see and experience. I returned for breakfast this morning and got the funghi omelet, and that was amazing too. Will be back to eat at this establishment again in the future.. or maybe again tonight who knows

Ate there tonight and it was amazing! Between us we had the lasagna and seafood linguini. Both super flavorful and filling. Was a bit of a wait to get in but was certainly worth it!

It was my first time visiting Frankie s, and I will definitely visit again. Food, atmosphere, service was excellent, thanks to our server Audrey who provided us with excellent service. We were amazed how fast we got our food, within the blink of an eye. I ll definitely recommend.

Service: Superficially very nice, but technically poor: Forgotten cutlery, wrong order of dishes and a long wait for the drinks, some of which were wrong. Drinks: The ginger ale tasted like chlorine and was probably made with tap water. The food was also rather mediocre. Anyone who is used to real Italian cuisine from Europe will not have much fun. We were particularly disappointed with the spaghetti carbonara. No pictures because the restaurant is pretty darkly lit in the evening.

Attractive, Delicious, Rich! This restaurant did an amazing job of making us feel welcome, it has a beautiful vibe to it. The waiter was very helpful and kind. There were a lot of gluten free options which is always a huge plus! Although pricey, the food was absolutely incredible! It was rich tasting and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend this for others! And we will definitely be coming here again!

Food was absolutely terrible. My friend and I both experienced severe food poisoning after our meal. The pasta dishes tasted old and frozen, lacking any freshness. It was a truly unpleasant experience.

Tried Frankies for the first time last night and both my friend and I were underwhelmed by our food. While our server was lovely, I ordered the Cobb salad and it started off with a very unappealing looking dish. Then taste wise, while the chicken was very tender, it seemed to have been seasoned with Indian spices which didnt work for a Cobb salad. The avocado was not fresh (brown), there was way too much dressing, and just an overall unsatisfying dish for 24$. Its never a good feeling when you walk out of a restaurant regretting spending the money and this was unfortunately my experience at Frankies.

Great place to enjoy good foods & drinks and live jazz band.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is top-notch. The appetizers are fantastic, especially the pizza bread pockets, calamari, and garlic bread with sauce. I had the seafood linguine, and the flavors were incredible. This is a must-visit Italian spot if youre in downtown Vancouver.

Great Service, good food, we ordered off the happy hour menu and happy with our dinning/social experience.

Reservations are highly recommended. Saturday evening is super busy, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot at the bar. We ordered 2 pastas, mussels and a pizza. The pasta I got reminded me of hamburger helper, so I wasnt thrilled with it (Casarecce Boscaiola). My husband ordered the Shrimp Tagliatelle and he enjoyed it. For pizza we tried the Italian Ham & Mushroom. Loved the thin crust but I wasnt wowd. Would try again for sure and mix up the pasta choices.

Excellent food, very good flavor, I ordered a beef carpaccio to start, it tasted delicious accompanied by fresh arugula, I ordered a pizza with olives and parmesan, with slices of ham, the pizza is of very good quality, the light flour is enjoyable to eat, they put grated parmesan to your food and they are very kind with the portions, I was very satisfied, we also ordered a traditional lasagna, served with plenty of sauce and lots of cheese, excellent option, a comfortable and delicious restaurant

I ordered the seafood linguini and it was absolutely fantastic! Its toppings includes shrimp, scallops, clams and pieces of salmon covered in lobster sauce. This is a very popular establishment, so be prepared by making reservations beforehand. It was full when I got there for dinner and they only had spots at the bar which I gladly accepted. The bartender was super friendly and there was an interesting soccer match on TV, so I was thoroughly entertained. I was also there for breakfast and ordered the eggs benedict which was also tasty.

Very good food & service! Environment a bit noisy though.

Very kind staff, excellent food, gorgeous place. Have tried the pizzetta pepperoni as well as the spinach and artichoke dip; both were extremely tasty. Saw two shows there one evening; someone had cancelled their reservation so I was able to get into the otherwise sold-out show. When the group un-cancelled their reservation, I was offered a table with an inferior view but theyd waived the cover charge. I was very happy indeed with that compromise. I stayed for the late show and was grandfathered in to that performance as well, which was also wonderful.

Attended Frankies Italian Vancouver for dinner Sunday July 14th 2024. We were shown to a booth inside and our waitress (Michala, hope this is the correct spelling) took our orders and shortly after, our food was brought to the table. The dishes were hot and very enjoyable. Michala was very attentive and helpful during the meal. She very polite and answered any questions we had. She was what you would expect an employee to be and we were very impressed with her. Kudoos to her. Wheelchair accessibility: I was using a walker but there is a ramp at the entrance and lots of room inside.

The food was incredible and the service was just as great. We started off with the Spinach and Artichoke dip. Holy cow was that delicious. Not enough flatbread for 3 people and certainly not enough flatbread to consume the whole dip but it didnt matter, the taste was killer good. I had the seafood linguini, my friend had the chicken linguini and my other friend had the funghi pizza. The seafood linguini was full of flavour. So much flavour. I could eat the dish for days! My friend enjoyed the chicken linguini but it was pretty heavy so he had to take it to go. The funghi pizza was also well enjoyed. Our service was great. I dont remember the womans name but she friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable, she took our orders quickly and made great suggestions. The place was not busy so our food came out very quick. I cannot say how long we would have waited if the restaurant was peak busy, but it was nice not having to wait long for our appy and then for our lunches. Prices were competitive for the location. All in all, I would recommend and I would go again.

Great location for an event at rogers Arena, or QE. Good atmosphere, Food is great and service is good. Decent wine list. If you go it will surprise you if you have never been, lots of regulars because overall, great place.

Been twice, it is good

If I ever write reviews I always try to find the good in anything. But not this place. Its under a really nice hotel actually but this place is absolute trash. Sat there for 25 mins only 4 tables around and not one person came to take my order. So I got up and went. She didnt even know what ginger ale is. Which is fine so I pointed to the menu. Then she was like oh I guess. Hm ok then. The breakfast was horrible. Old and stale and at almost 20 Dollars it could at least be a little better. The staff is rude also for no reason. Just wait a little longer for everything else around to open and go anywhere else. This place should of closed long ago

I cannot wait to return here! I came from out of the city and had the chance to dine at Frankies with my sister, and we both had an amazing experience. We had the seafood linguine and the mushroom ravioli- both were delicious! I loved that it wasnt too heavy and that the portions were so generous with fresh ingredients. Ambience was great and the service we received was pleasant. Apparently they also have live music in the lounge side of the restaurant so Im hoping to come back and experience that next time! I just feel bad that my husband (who loves pasta) didnt get to enjoy this meal with me :P

Update: Had lunch with a group of 8 people, the service by Brody was excellent and the food was very good. I had the kale and spinach salad with steak and it was the best but everyone enjoyed their meals. About 20 of us had lunch here for colleague. We ordered ahead and the food was delivered pretty quickly upon our planned arrival. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was SO good. Really high marks for the service for a large group.

Appetizers were good, but their pasta was so disappointingly bland. Didnt seem to have enough salt and the sausage was just chewy and flavorless. The service wasnt bad but could have been more attentive as far as frequency of check-ins. Cant see myself ever coming back here, wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Brody made sure we had one of the best meals during our trip to Vancouver. I had the lasagna and my wife had a salad and meatballs for an entree. Brody took care of us and made sure we had a wonderful dining experience. The lasagna with some of the best Ive ever had. Brody recommended the meatballs and he was spot on.

Food was okay, nothing impressive. But service was friendly. Overall not a terrible place but wouldn t necessarily come back. My brother had the lamb shank and that was probably the most redeeming out of all our food.

Had a great experience here. Food was yummy and Brody our server was amazing. Brody made sure we were well taken care of- gave us great recommendations and our waters were always refilled. Charming and would come back for the food and Brody again.

We had a lovely server, who offered to refridgerate my leftover Spaghetti and Meatballs while at a Whitecaps game. Unfortunately the meatballs were undercooked. I felt okay after dining at the restaurant but was quite ill the next few days.

Carbonara w/ egg no creme

The group (3 adults, 12, and 15year old) had generally positive comments on the food, but the highlights were the Cobb salad and the linguini. The cocktails were sub par. It seemed there might have been a post game crowd and was thus so loud that talking at the table was nearly impossible. Our server was very engaging and friendly.

Great food. Not fine dining, this is more family style but quality was very high. Server was a tad aggressive but he made sure we had everything we needed. Part of the charm! Drinks did take a little bit to get, but espresso martinis were very well done.

We went there. The band was dry, pasta was not fully cooked. The atmosphere was good. Just was a little cramped everyone into a small space. This was the jazz side. We went to the restaurant side 2 weeks earlier and the food and service was great.

Had a great meal and drinks here on Friday night. It was super busy, we didnt have a reservation, but got seated at the bar right away! Our Bartender Jason was awesome! Had a fantastic experience at Frankies Italian Vancouver. Contacted them prior to making reservation about garlic allergy given that its an Italian restaurant. So impressed at their professionalism and willingness to accommodate. The Chef made a special pasta dish and sauce without garlic. Also best gluten-free gnocchi ever! 5* Highly recommend this establishment. Will definitely return. Dietary restrictions: Took allergy concerns seriously. Very accommodating. Recommend contacting ahead of time if possible.

Frankies is our favorite place to be. We go there for any special occasion and every date night. We absolutely love it. We always get the Aranchini and Meatballs to start and for our main course Spaghetti and Meatballs and/or Lasagne! Always sooo good! 10/10 recommend. My favourite drink is the Vino Limone- never fails!!

Food was good, cant complain but server was horrible. It was game night, restaurant was slow for dinner time, but service was horrible mainly because of the server. He missed items on the order and was very rude. Kids meal come with pop and ice cream (per menu) He charged extra for their pop and when asked for the ice cream, his response was rude so we left.

Great place, top food and excellent service. Laurie was exceptionally good with her service, gave some great recommendations on food and also on local attractions.

Amazing breakfast. Eggs Benedict was not the typical style I was expecting. No English muffins here. Perfect eggs and delicious hollandaise with crispy nugget potatoes. This is a gem breakfast spot.

This Italian Restaurant has excellent food and is reasonably priced. It has a wonderful and friendly staff. We ate here multiple times while staying at the attached Georgian Court Hotel. Wheelchair accessibility: My wife was in a wheel chair and it was very easy to get her in and out of the restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Very good food. Enjoyed the seafood pasta before the Canucks game.

Very fancy Italian place. Server was very knowledgeable of the menu and wine selections. Our party was attended to well. The food was great. I ordered, the risotto and also tried the carbonara which were both delicious and pretty filling. Overall atmosphere feels very intimate and comfy. 5/5 stars!

Celebrated a late birthday dinner. Food was delicious!

First time but quite happy with the experience! The ambiance is lovely with good aesthetics! They had a happy hour menu and I tried Mussels which were delicious ! 4.2/5 They have the house made fresh bread along with olive oil and soy garlic as complementary - 3.4/5 We had chicken linguini pasta - 4.5/5 We had proneto Parmesan Fries which are made with corn instead of potato , I would say it tasted more like a corn bread -2.5/5 I ordered ginger ale as it s not the time for alchohol but they have huge options for alchohol as well. The only things is they served ginger ale in a glass and filled with lots of ice cubes and the flavour was getting lost by the end of the lunch!! Good experience over all, give it a try!

Frankies has this perfect combination of an amazing menu, excellent wine selection and live jazz five nights a week. One of Vancouvers few remaining love jazz venues. And the staff are wonderful, helpful people

I loved the taste of the food, good atmosphere and if you are served by a countryman, even more excellent.

We were here for New Years eve. What I really liked and appreciated about this restaurant: 1) they didnt have a fixed menu and gave you the flexibility to order any dish 2) they offer freshly baked focaccia bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar 3) generous on the beverage pour :) and the portions were sufficient for the price. We enjoyed the salmon dish. Very crispy skin and perfectly cooked. Salad was sufficient and deliciously light. Service was great. Overall the experience was great. We really appreciated that they didnt take advantage of patrons by increasing their prices on New Years eve.

It was our first time at Frankie s and enjoyed our dinner experience. Although there were errors in all 3 of our entrees, our server was beyond exceptional and corrected the issues. There was live Jazz music next door which was loud enough for us to hear but quiet enough for us to have dinner conversations.

Delicious pasta! Will definitely come again! Drinks are a bit on the expensive side.

Overall, the restaurant is great! They had some nice jazz music coming out from the bar on the other side of the door. The pasta I ordered was nutritious. The server was nice, and especially generous with cheese and pepper :) the only complaint is that it was kinda dark, even during the day.

The soup was bit salty and the carbonara tasted bit sour because of the bacon. And didn t taste the egg in it. It was a bit disappointing.

Excellent waitstaff. Food was feel good and well prepared. Not a quiet atmosphere but no problem having a conversation at your table. I would recommend the restaurant to others

The bar food is great, but the Italian dishes were subpar.

Was not disappointed. Started off with wine and focaccia with oil/balsamic. The focaccia was delicious and warm. The main courses we ordered was the Alfredo Tagliatelle with Chicken and the Amato Pizza. The tagliatelle had a lot of sauce and melt in your mouth chicken; it was a basic dish but it was executed extremely well. The pizza was flavourful but was hard to eat because all of the toppings would come off during the first bite. For dessert we ordered the Tiramisu; it was light and creamy with a classic coffee flavour and lightly boozy aftertaste.

The waitstaff are on point and Jason the bartender was excellent. I will come here again even if I m not staying at the adjoining hotel. The focaccia bread rivals my Italian stepmother s and the house cocktails are nice, new takes on old favourites.

Excellent all around, appetizers and dessert tasty, lasagna fantastic. Was taken there for a business supper, and will definitely go again for a personal meal.

I stayed at the hotel attached to the restaurant but didnt venture in until a separate occassion. I was blown away by the food, from top to bottom each dish was fantastic. The service was great as well for such a large gathering we had for the holidays. Well done Frankies!

Had the breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Have had other meals here and the food and service has always been great. Reasonably priced.

Service was great and very accommodating. But the Frankie s pizza was way too salty for our liking, had to ask for ranch to be able to eat it. There was also an olive that still had the pit in it and I bit into it, not pleasant.

Restaurant was nice but food wasn t that great. I ordered calamari as an entree, they were soft and looked like springs. Never seen that before. Wasn t good. My shrimp tagliatelle was pretty disappointing as well. I guess if you don t know Italian food at all, you might enjoy it.

Great spot to go for a reasonably priced Italian dinner. Lots of food choices and specials!
