The restaurant was great my server was Luc he was nice explained everything clearly. The food was good, the steak was tender and flavourful.

Absolutely disgusted with the walk in hostess person tonight with the way she was talking to me. I was so excited to finally be trying this amazing restaurant that has such good reviews. The first time I tried coming here, I didn t get a walk in spot for my family as I arrived just after 5pm. I previously phoned and was told to arrive just when they open to get a walk in spot. This time around, I arrived 20 minutes before the restaurant opened. We waited outside in the cold rain and were the first in line. When the restaurant opened we re told they didn t have a table of 4 for us. I am really surprised this restaurant doesn t have a table for 4 people for walk ins. If that is the case, they should really mention this beforehand. If I had known this, I would not have driven 30 minutes and had wasted my time coming all the way here.

Having enjoyed this restaurant for a long time, tonight s dinner doesn t have me excited to return. Chef s menu was very heavy and had no flow. Service was mediocre. Being brought the bill while someone was still finishing dessert was the icing.

From start to finish, divine!!! Everything we ordered was amazing! Biscoff cheesecake at the end was so good !!!!

What was always one of my favourite restaurants was unfortunately disappointing. Food was fine but inconsistent, team made some nice efforts, but didn t live up to the standards they have set for themselves. I am not one to write reviews, but was left feeling quite disappointed with one of my long time favourites. 830 birthday reservation, were sat at 850, nice touch of Prosecco for birthday once we did sit down. Salads were good, initially were sold out of ribeye, but found one for us which was kind. Two in our group are gluten free, salads came quickly, pastas came around 940, and were excellent as usual. Meats did not land until after 1030 (40 mins between courses), and no one came to check on us between courses for us to even ask when the next was coming - the two gluten free in our group had not eaten since the salads (didn t stage their mains to give them something in the middle), so half our group was hungry and so we lost a bit of steam. When the steaks landed, they were cold unfortunately and one was undercooked (leaning more rare rather than medium rare), tasted fine - but should not land cold after more than a 40 min wait, chicken was not as good as I remember. Restaurant was emptying out - we had lost energy by the end, asked for bill quickly, they did bring a scoop of gelato and a candle which was nice. Wouldn t rush back, although the team made nice efforts - I expect more of this restaurant.

Food so yum

recently dined at Osteria Savio Volpe as part of a large group, and it was an incredible experience overall. From the moment we were seated, our server, Shonynn, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. The family-style dinner was fantastic every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The drinks complemented the meal beautifully as well. The planning prior to the dinner was also appreciated they reached out to confirm details and even asked if we were celebrating anything special. However, it seemed like there was a disconnect between the pre-dinner communication and the execution. When we arrived, I had to explain everything we had discussed via email and phone again. While this wasn t a huge issue, it felt like the earlier coordination wasn t relayed to the team. That said, the server handled it all with grace and professionalism. Overall, the food and service made this dinner memorable, and I wouldn t hesitate to return or recommend Osteria Savio Volpe to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience. Decent food, great vibe

Went for my husband s birthday. He ordered a medium steak. First, the steak was not cooked evenly. When cut the steak, the bottom half of the steak was well done and the upper part was at medium well. We told the server and she took our steak to the kitchen. Came back saying the chef says it s a perfect medium. They offered to make another one but claimed that it would look pretty much the same and the uneven cooking of the steak was natural as the steak was cooked on a wood fire. OMG. That s the most insincere response I got from staffs when our food was obviously not properly prepared.

Absolutely amazing. Great vibes. We ordered kale salad, saffron fettuccine, a pasta special, meatballs, and broccolini and we cannot decide which one we liked best. Came to vancouver on a quick trip and we were so happy we chose to come here for dinner. Absolutely superb experience. Our server Nate was fantastic!!!!!!!

Amazing restaurant. They put in a lot of thought and effort into their dishes and it shows. Taste is amazing, service is amazing. One tiny issue is it can actually get a bit loud when its full but thats very minor

The atmosphere of this place was great with upscale contemporary vibes. The dishes served on the tasting menu were creative and flavorful. The staff were very attentive and the place was busy. My wife and I had a great time!!

Went there last Wednesday with a few clients from switzerland. We ended up sharing all kinds of dishes. It was amazing the worst part was I had to share! Lol Wonderful service and amazing food Do yourself a favor and get your ass in there ASAP Food : 5/5

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was nothing short of fantastic. First off there was a card from the restaurant for her at the table which was a nice touch. I feel awful for not remembering our servers name (Nate??) But also because he had a fantastic line which was if you dont like the service my name is Steve and if you do its (Nate I hope lol). Regardless Nate was fantastic... knowledgeable, humorous, personable and made the night so much more enjoyable and pleasant. We opted for the ALLA FAMIGLIA 5 course tasting menu for which Nate was sure to include our preferences but allow for some creativity and mystery. All the courses were delicious and to our surprise ... we were stuffed silly . As for the ambiance its a great place ... but seating can sometimes be a little close to other patrons which on this occasion had a rather obnoxious couple beside us which was rather annoying lol

Had some high expectations because everyone talked about it. Food is really good. The Garlic Bread, Pasta and the complimentary wine was so delicious. Im giving 3 stars because of the food but other than that; service was just meh. Since we arrive the host completely forgot about us. She keep giving samples to the other people infront of us and they totally just keep avoiding our existence? thats how we felt, so my husband had to ask to a bartender for a sample and he couldnt understand so I think he asked a manager and they still couldnt understand so I had to go and they still didnt get it? i was just asking for samples since we didnt get anything? finally some other staff apologized and brought us something. We dont even have a difficult accent to understand so IDK what was their deal. We waited 30 mins for our table even tho we had a reservation. After we got our table, we got a really small one and the couple next to us had a big table just for themselves, that was really unfair. The server was just giving an ok service and we kept looking for him just to refill us water. After we paid the bill I wanted to pay with cash so I had a lot of change and he said it was fine, but after I was handling him the money he seemed annoyed & the moment of the famous tip arrived i just gave $5 because I didnt feel to give more than that because of the whole experience. He really just took the tip and said Thank you in a really passive aggresive way and left IMMEDIATELY. Usually other places they thank us for coming and wish a good night. But ok sure. Would not come again just to receive this service.

I had my birthday dinner at Osteria Savio Volpe and it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant and all the dishes we tried were delicious! The service was absolutely incredible! Pork ragu pasta and pumpkin cake dessert was perfect

the best dinning experience I have had in Vancouver, from the knowledge and expertise of the waiters and sommeliers, to the quality of food, outstanding!

We were able to secure a table for 2 on a Saturday night at 5 pm the day-of through their online reservation system, which is quite handy. We had seen the restaurant when dining next door, but were hesitant to try because it seemed so busy all the time, and we hate lining up and waiting. However, after multiple different people consistently recommending it, we decided to give it a go. We ordered the alla famiglia dinner, which is like a chef s menu. We were asked a bunch of questions about how we feel about certain types of food (e.g., olives, onions, capers, mushrooms, meat, seafood, raw food, truffle, etc.). Because we have no idea what we ll be eating, we asked the server if they have wine pairing for the menu. The server set the menu and consulted with the sommelier to recommend two wines. We ended up trying both and they went well with the food. For our visit, we had: Kale, pecorino, pangrattato, lemon pepper dressing: this was very well cooked, and thoroughly seasoned. I thought it was a little too lemony on its own but it went well with some of the other rich food served afterwards. Truffle arancini, black pepper aioli: creamy and rich. The aioli was perfect. Carne cruda, black truffle aioli, calabrian chili, focaccia: I don t know if they hand dice the cruda, but it tasted very different from what you d expect of ground meat, because it still had a bit of bounce to it. The focaccia were a bit burnt though, so left a bad aftertaste. Fettucce ricce, venison ragù, red wine, sage pangrattato: this was my partner s favourite dish of the night. I wanted to say it was very salty, but it wasn t actually, just very flavourful and rich. The meat was tender and the pasta was perfectly al dente. We had to take home about 25% of it. Primrose Farms pork chop, brown butter, mushrooms, lemon potatoes: butter mushroom sauce as very well balanced and super creamy. The fat on the edge was perfectly rendered. Cooked perfectly to a medium. We had to pack about 75% of it to take home. Grilled broccolini, aglio e olio, chili, lemon: partner thought this was bordering on undercooked, but I liked the crunch. tiramisu: fine, nothing special, kind of too late and lacking in mascarpone flavour. The service was professional and attentive. Dishes came and plates cleared promptly. The entire affair wrapped up in about 1 hour and 40 minutes. The restaurant was bustling and though we were able to hear each other and the tables next to us, it felt a bit loud, crowded. They ve opted for the Scandinavian design of lots of white and light wood, which I appreciate over painting the ceiling black, it also requires more maintenance. It s kind of unappetizing to look up and see a layer of greasy dust on the vents. All in all a fine experience. Will recommend and will return.

Came here last minute for my mother s birthday dinner and the food absolutely delivered. We weren t that hungry to begin with but we ended up ordering more off the menu just to try and we re so glad we did! Arancini was good, the pasta was amazing, but the chicken ?! Really wowed us! Definitely will find an excuse to be back!

The chef, who is also an artist, will blow your mind and spark an eye-opening revelation thats exciting, enlightening, and seriously enjoyable. Every dish, expressed an emotion in the same sense that music or painting does. This is what the experience with @savio_volpe felt like. The crudo, consuming it, not only that it taste good, but it was full of life. The kanpachi, served raw, was clean and delicate. The other elements such as grapefruit saffron, lemon and pink peppercorn enhanced the natural taste of the fish while adding a bright and refreshing dimension. The agnolotti with rich and luxurious sauce, generously filled with consistent finely pureed braised beef. The pasta was tender, Italian al dente. Filling was smooth, and well integrated. The sauce was not overpowering the delicate flavours of the pasta and filling. The canestri, ridged texture, did capture the sauces, and subtle wheat flavour complemented the pork ragu sauce accompanied with guanciale and chili, finished with pecorino romano adding richness and umami flavour. The gemelli, which means twins in Italian, accompanied with the pork and lamb sausage offered a bit of spice. Sundried tomatoes, spinach and seasonal pine nuts added freshness and texture, the outcome, heart and satisfying dish . The polpette, juicy and not overly dense. Well balanced, allowing the well integrated taste of tomato, currants, pine nuts and grana padano. All paired with a bottle of 2022 La Stoppa Trebbbiolo Emilia IGT. Earthy and rich fruity flavours, casual natural wine that pairs well with anything. Lastly, the tiramisu, met the standard with its creamy sweet mascarpone that balanced slight bitterness of coffee. Service was beyond bare essentials, staff knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring the glass of water was never empty. Dishes beautifully presented, with high quality ingredients. What a fine day to end the night, with a delicious meal and happy hosts, and most especially endless laughter with the right company . Grazie Mille, for the second time.

We went for a birthday dinner and had an appetizer, an entree (both in picture) and drinks. The food was amazing and so were drinks. However, service was slow. It took them awhile to get back to our table. Asking for entree recommendations was not very helpful, the server did not offer much of a suggestion. Overall, great food and service was okay.

I ve been here a few times and wanted to take my partner who hasn t visited. Unfortunately because of my last visit I don t think I ll be coming here for a while. For what we are paying I think the food was mediocre and nothing extraordinary. We were sat by the wall of 2 top tables, we were way too close to other tables but I guess they are well informed from these reviews and decided not to consider the concerns of their guests. We also felt like the staff kept touching our table too frequently, and I m not sure if there is miscommunication between staff or they were trying to be extra attentive but I felt like our quality time was robbed from being constantly interrupted by multiple people. Because of this, we kind of felt like we were rushed out of there to get another table in for a seating (even though we had a set reservation.) I don t usually post reviews but I felt like I needed to share my underwhelming experience especially when this place is highly talked about.

I booked this restaurant for my boyfriend s birthday. We weren t very hungry to start with. The kale salad and squash pasta were really good. The seating arrangement is quite congested and atmosphere was really loud. The service was good, the server gave us good recommendations and he did check up on us couple of times. I was expecting a small desert as I mentioned in my booking that we were there to celebrate a birthday. I took one star off the service for that.

Food was outstanding...very good atmosphere. Our server was not engaging or present for the most part...only drag on the experience.

If you want to have your mind blown with great food, this is the place to be. We love the option on the menu let us cook for you You get asked simple questions from the staff lf what you do and dont like. Allergies and even dietary restrictions They make the hard decisions of what to pick and wave after wave of delicious good arrives. If you are an adventurous eater this is a fantastic experience. You can also do an optional wine pairing with each plate. It is not a cheap restaurant, but it is not outrageously expensive either. This may be one of the best restaurants in the city and I hope it stays for years to come 10/10

Came here for my birthday dinner and the food and service were perfect. We did the tasting menu where the server asked us our preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions etc. We enjoyed every dish as vegetarians. My husband and I can t stop talking about the tortelli. Our waters were never empty and service was so fast and friendly.

We enjoyed this experience so much and it truly was an experience! The team service model was greatly appreciated. We felt very well taken care of. The food was creative and delicious, with beautiful and unique presentation. We enjoyed an appetizer, salad, pasta, wine and cocktails. The restaurant was completely packed but every team member was calm and smiling. We were very impressed. Sommelier was extremely well versed in the wines and told beautiful wine stories that made you fall in love with the wine before it even hit your lips. Definitely recommend reservations!

Brayden was our server, and I can confidently say she s among the best in the business. Despite being incredibly busy with multiple tables, she remained calm, courteous, and extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. We had an amazing time and felt lucky to snag a last-minute 7 PM reservation on a Wednesday. The restaurant is fantastic! The beet salad is a must-try, and you can t go wrong with any of their pasta dishes. If you re looking to treat yourself, the bone-in ribeye is absolutely worth it simply to die for. We enjoyed the chefs menu, every dish was delicious. The service was amazing, we were so well attended to, and my water cup was never empty. My son loved the kids pasta too!

Thank you for the last minute reservation. The Vajra wine is complex and frustratingly engrossing. The kingfish cruda is a unique choice, my palate is at a loss. The beet salad was well complimented by its accoutrements; succulent, crisp and creamy. The rabbit ragout was a fascinating play of buttery flavour washed with subtle acidity. The pasta was the most delicately delicious al dente Ive encountered. I bit off more than I could handle with the cannoli, too much chocolate for me, one day Ill find that gritty filling I had once in Prospect Point. My compliments to the wait staff, above and beyond.

My girlfriend and I shared a wonderful evening here for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Our hostess was the gem of the night! She asked if we had any questions and ensured our drinks were always full the entire night We did have a small mishap but it was easily resolved. shout out to the manger (I believe) she brought us a lovely glass of wine. Neither I or my girlfriend enjoy wine but we loved this glass. All in it was an amazing dining experience. Great cocktail s, amazing service and food to die for.

Unfortunately overall just an okay experience. Main issue is that the food took so long to come out (altho the servers were very nice). Got the chefs selection which is not worth the $22 given its meager selection. The capelletti was good (def more on the al dente side) although the ragu was alil watery. My friend got the cappelletti and the portion size was so small. Can t recommend that. Atmosphere is more lively but quite packed. So hard to really have a conversation.

This place is nuts. Talk about ultimate value for upscale dining. We had the kingfish, polenta, ciabatta, pork chops (yes, you get 2 huge ones), beets, and the saffron shrimp linguine, and we left with our stomachs full and our brains tingling from the pure and unrelenting enjoyment. Everything was just so dang good. Our server Shonynn (hope we spelled your name right man), was an absolute star, and was extremely hospitable, friendly and attentive. We got fine dining quality service tonight. Worth mentioning... decor is great too... Perfect for date night... or any night tbh. Highly recommend. Toronto foodies here, and we love Vancouvers Osteria Savio Volpe.

Great ambience. The typical Vancouver vibe if youre looking for cozy intimate and good food. Prices are reasonable, perfect for a good night out or a date. Canestri is a good reco, and so is the beet salad. Agnolotti leaves something to be desired but otherwise good night.

DO NOT GO HERE. I had the worst experience at this restaurant. Main dish was served an hour after the order. It tasted like I had a mouthful of salt. Worst restaurant in history of restaurants. Save your money and go some place else. Please.

Great place, food and staff. Clean washrooms. Big variety of drinks. Parking: Hard to find a spot to park, better to find a spot blocks after or before the venue.

As good as it gets

Service is amazing, probably the best I ve had. Our server was attentive and I appreciated the pacing of the meal. We went with the tasting menu and requested the addition of their risotto. It was definitely one of the highlights of our meal alongside the tiramisu and starter. Will be back again to celebrate another occasion!

My first time visiting here, but I ve already heard lots of great reviews from people. It was amazing overall! We ve got recommendations from a server, cus I literally had no idea what should I order even though I throughly looked at the menu lol The starter was amazingly scrumptious and main pastas were very tasty even the portion wasn t too small. Also, I highly recommend blueberry tarts for dessert- it was the BEST tart i ve ever had in my entire life for real!

Spent my 31st birthday with an early dinner and I have no regrets. Everything we ordered was delicious and my favorite was the burrata paired with the sweet cherry tomatoes. The servers were really thoughtful as well.

Excellent service and amazing food!

My husband book a table for my Birthday dinner and it was the wost dinner I ever have in my entire time living in Vancouver. We were so excited and had high expectation on the menu. But the food are so horrible & not even edible. The kale salad so sour & bland, the beef tartar so salty & the bread is so burned. I order 2 pastas & none of them taste good. The aged beef is the only hope that we have and guest what ... Its also a disaster just bland no flavor at all. My mood was completely down & Im so mad I can not even eat 1 thing in total 5 dishes that I order. 2 hours waiting for the food that destroy my Birthday. I will never come back here again &everytime I pass by this restaurant, it remind me of that horrible memory .

100/10 for not only the food but also the service. Our server Stephanie was very courteous and helpful in explaining the menu in detail. This is one of the places you understand why they got a Michelin Star. Every single impressed our taste buds, especially the tatton spring pork shoulder and rabbit ragu pappardelle.

We finally visited the restaurant after a long time wanting to do it. We arrived around 5:45pm on a Tuesday. As a couple, we decided to get the 5 course meal. I am vegetarian and my spouse isnt, so they explained since we wouldnt be sharing the same plates, our main course would be pasta dishes (instead of a protein, such as a steak). No problems with it, the food is indeed very good and you can taste the ingredients are of very good quality. We had the non-alcoholic peach Belini and the sparkling lemonade. The peach Belini was very delicious but it doesnt justify the pricing of an alcoholic drink ($12). The sparkling lemonade was just as good and was half the price. We waited for a very long time between courses and ended up spending around two hours there. Service was great, however it is very busy which makes it extremely noisy. The tables around are also very close so you need to speak very loud to be heard and also end up hearing others conversations in the meantime. Again, the food was great and I would love to try the Cauliflower risotto the next time. I will however, do my best to go on their least busy time, if they ever happen to have one.

We did the chefs choice dinner, I have a dairy allergy and my mom does not - every dish they brought to us was dairy free and amazing. Things I would have never ordered off the menu. Staff were all so nice. This was one of the best dinners I ve ever had! What a phenomenal experience

What an amazing experience! Heard lots of good things and they didn t disappoint. The food, the service, and the staff were all amazing! I went there for the 2nd time on my birthday and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The service was really friendly, well paced, and at the right temperature. I don t like it when restaurants just make you feel that they want you to leave so thankfully they didn t make me feel that way. Loved the focaccia bread, the rabbit pasta and the agnolotti pasta. Would definitely recommend especially for family style or special occasions.

This restaurant doesnt have many menu options, but it offers very authentic Italian meals and a rich selection of wines. You need to reserve a seat in advance. Its so busy on weekends that you often cant get a reservation.

I had made a reservation for my parent s anniversary, and I called ahead to leave my payment information and specify that I wanted them to have the set menu and that I would take care of everything. Today after my parent s meal they were not only brought the bill because they were being hurried out, but I also found out from my parents that my set menu wishes were completely ignored. I had to speak to a manager after my mom had already paid the bill to try to rectify the situation. There s not much excuse to hurry a 5:00 reservation out at 6:45, when the booking site clearly states tables are booked for 2 hours. Luckily, they still enjoyed their meal a lot, but I feel the service here was extremely lacking. I would hope for a restaurant of this caliber, that the management would pay a little more attention and care to special requests.

I went for my birthday dinner and dined Alla famiglia and it was absolutely fantastic. Pricey but worth it for special occasions. For two people we got 3 starters, a pasta, a main, meatballs, a veggie side, and dessert! We were absolutely stuffed by the end and everything was incredible.

This place deserves all the hype, loved the sourdough bread, steak and pork ragu. The meatballs werent my favorite but overall it was an amazing dining experience.

The best Italian food in Vancouver

First time here, and will be back many times in the future. Everything staff, menu, wine list was exceptional. Our sever whose name I regrettably forget was delightful: friendly and attentive without being overbearing or insincere, and patient and helpful in tailoring our menu options to be exactly what we all wanted. We used corkage for our first bottle of wine, and the sommelier, Lisa, was so happy to chat for a few minutes about what we brought and what would pair best with it, as well as a follow-up recommendation to ensure we had some variety for our entrees. She is friendly and so knowledgeable without the slightest hint of pretension. I am already planning the next friend or family celebration that will provide me with the opportunity to return.

A truly exquisite dining experience. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Osteria Savio Volpe and I do not mince words when I say that I cannot give high enough praise to this little treasure of a restaurant. From the moment we stepped in, the waitstaff were warm, inviting and attentive; they even went so far as to treat us to a glass of sparkling wine as a little treat for our celebration. Our waitress, Pascale, was incredibly quick witted and an absolute joy to interact with throughout our nearly 3 hour stay. We asked to dine Alla Famiglia which I would highly recommend. She took a few moments to clarify any dietary restrictions and then went to the kitchen to organize a menu specifically for us, the sommelier then came by to suggest a wine pairing for our dishes. Naturally the pairing that the sommelier suggested was impeccable and we thoroughly enjoyed the bottle. On to the food. Just wow... words cannot encompass the quality of food at this restaurant. There were moments where my wife and I were literally without words, all we could do was smile like a pair of idiots because we were so blown away by how delicious everything was. I even made a special request of the kitchen; I asked them to make one of my absolute favorite dishes - Cacio e Pepe. Not only did the kitchen follow through, they made us what is undoubtedly the best Cacio e Pepe I have ever eaten. Long story short, eat here... thank me later

Loud and proud, this Italian knows how to put an impression in the plate. The pasta dishes are so good you will continue to think about them for years to come. Wish they had a quieter venue, but know you are there purely for good food and theres a reason it takes months for a reservation.

Kake salad was pathetic. Our dish was brought out to the wrong table. Waited over 45 mins for the main. The main was meh. Would recommend other places way before this. Third time here and has disappointed.

Returned while visiting Vancouver as I love the restaurant so much. Great food and service. Sure doesn t disappoint except I forgot how difficult it is to find parking. Parking: Next time no driving as it s just about impossible to find taxi drop of and fetch.

The one star review is for the kitchen staff. Based on reviews for this establishment, we were expecting a great experience. The experience barely meets expectations. Whilst the table staff did their best to create an enjoyable experience, the food was overly salted, the kitchen staff managed to ruin perfectly good ingredients by coating it with heavy salt , this caused a sore on my tongue. The final insult was an uncooked halibut tail the skin was burnt and it was raw inside. The redeeming moment of the evening was that our server who seemed equally embarrassed with the poor quality of our food.

Cheers for making a birthday celebration awesome! Family loved the dishes they chose, rabbit ragu and pastas were over the top. THAT HALF CHICKEN! Destroyed it, cannot believe how juicy it was, crazy good! Thanks for being attentive to my food allergies as well, felt at ease and was able to enjoy the evening. I like this restaurant. I think the food is great but i recently had an experience that turned me off. I tried to make a reservation for 8 recently. For that party size, the restaurant requires that everyone orders the family dinner. My wife and i recently had the family dinner. We both found it an excessive amount of food so ended up being bloated and wasting food. Also, the restaurant does an automatic 20% gratuity. Are restaurants tone deaf? I recently read that 85% of Canadians are fed up with tip creep. I recall when mandatory tips were 16%, then 18%, now 20%? Has the price of restaurant food gone up substantially over the past few years. So, isnt the amount of a previously typical tip (15%) increasing at the rate of inflation anyways? Why does the percentage need to increase? What is the point of the tip if i dont get to choose the amount? Why dont you just pay your staff a fair working wage and let people choose the tip or make your mandatory tip 15%-16% and stop pissing off the majority of Canadians. PS. This is, of course, typical of many restaurants now but not all.

He was incredibly accommodating, attentively listened to all our requests, and ensured that everything was perfect from start to finish. I m the grandson of Italian immigrants who makes pasta in my home regularly and I was blown away by this meal. Probably the best Italian plate of food you can get not cooked by my Nonni. Service was also incredible.

Highly recommend coming here! We came in without a reso at 6 but they were able to find us a spot! I would recommend getting a reso though as it is busy! The staff are soo friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The aesthetics are aesthetic-ing. And the food is definitely food-ing to the top tier. Such a good flavour profile on all the dishes, some were complex and reminded me of a Michelin star I ve been to. Chefs kiss. Shared 4-5 dishes with 4 people and got drinks and it came out to a reasonable price! Cannot wait to come back here!!

brunch food is fast and tasty. please try their hand made pizza. However, each tables internal is tiny. our seats are near the kitchen, we have to move chairs when other customers or servers pass.

First time coming here after many recommendations from friends, and I couldn t be happier with my experience. The service was fantastic, the vibes were cool, and the food was phenomenal. The pasta here is the best I have had in Vancouver so far. We started off with the Kingfish crudo and Ciabatta, which were both delicious. The Crudo was light and very flavourful and the bread was cheesy and garlicky (how can you go wrong with that?). For drinks we had the Ciao Bella! and the Amaretto Sour and for our mains we shared the Cappelletti and the Canestri. I would highly recommend the canestri as it was the highlight of the experience - the pork was intensely flavourful and melted in our mouths. The cappelletti was also fantastic, very rich and flavourful. Overall we were super satisfied with our experience and we can t wait to go back!

This restaurant is highly overrated. The three of us were there on Saturday night and decided to do the Chefs choice for $85 a person. Disappointingly there was nothing special, it was just dishes off the regular menu, and we would have been better of making our own choices off the menu; if we had ordered the dishes we received a la carte, it would have cost less than $85 a person. There was not consideration that there was three of us sharing, there were five (not six) crudités on the plate and one dessert (a tart) for three of us to share, absolutely no consideration! It seems that Savio has now become a mainstream restaurant. There is nothing on the menu that we could rave about. The halibut was of course over cooked, which means hard and dry. I even asked our server that if we were getting halibut that we request it was not over cooked, but it was. They have taken less care on each plate and are literally pumping out the food. We will not be returning any time soon. After being unfilled from our dinner we had to order another dessert and a we had a coffee and one drink each. Out night cost $350 for three. Not worth it!

Service was great and the atmosphere was okay, but pretty typical of a lot of places now. Food was so, so greasy and over priced. I can t see coming back here again.

My wife and I just arrived from England yesterday and had dinner here (had been recommended to us). 20 min taxi ride from harbour hotel but well worth it. Great atmosphere, amazing Italian influence food which was very modestly priced. Simon, our server made the whole experience with good recommendations and friendly service. All together Fab!

We were a table of 6. First of all, they struck us in a booth. No space, made it super uncomfortable. Couldn t get the attention of any servers. Our server was nonchalant. 3 of us ordered pasta, unfortunately all pasta dishes were over salted. The fish and scallop risotto dish, were fine. Too bad, I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately most mainstream restaurants in Vancouver overcharge for subpar food.

Our server Nate was the absolute best - we laughed, talked about our love for food and sharing a good meal, and were taken care of the whole night. Nate truly made our evening by creating a one of a kind tasting menu that offered tastes from all over the menu to be enjoyed family style (the elite way to dine:)). Everything was perfect from the timing, service, flavours, and balance of the dishes. Despite being the last table we did not feel rushed. We will be back and recommending this place! This place was absolutely amazing..my sister brought me here for my birthday!!...the level of care and effort was unreal!! Firstly the food was just absolutely phenomenal!! Every bite was just exquisite!!! Our servers were all just so caring and knowledgeable about the food they were serving us. I ask a lot of questions about the food and our server answered them all!! You just feel cared for by everyone who serves you here....the service is next level and again the food was just phenomenal! Definitely gonna bring my gf here soon!!

Our first experience at Savio Volpe s was one to remember. we went for our anniversary and from the moment we walked in the door it felt like we were dining at a friends place. the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Steven, our server was very knowledgeable and made the experience great! highly recommend dining alla famiglia style and tasting all the best dishes they have to offer. we can t wait to go back!

We booked a table for dinner and opted for the tasting menu. This wasnt my first time here, and I definitely recommend the chefs tasting menu. Its even better with more people because theres more to try. Everything we had was delicious, and the ravioli was definitely the star of the show. It was a special on the menu and sold out pretty quickly while we were there. Servers were friendly and attentive, coming by often to check on us. The only downside is that its pretty crammed in there, especially the 2 people tables at the back, so everyone around you is listening in on your conversation and youre listening in to everyone elses conversations, too. Its a great restaurant, but I wish there was a little more space between seats for privacy and comfort.

The dining experience was nothing short of divine! We indulged in half of the menu, and I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to make a pilgrimage to experience it at least once.

Great spot, I will come back for sure. It s great service too, paced really well and attentive. All but one dish we tried were superb. We had the rabbit pasta which was 2 mins too soon from being el Dante - and the rabbit was a bit dry. Just needed some sauce and to be boiled a bit longer. The rest tho, was so damn good. Great value too!

Last night, we had the most amazing meal. By far the best meal (appetizer, entree and dessert) we had in the last few years. Every single course, the beat salad, the strip loin steak, the saffron pasta, the strawberry tart were out of this world. The service matched the meal -impeccable. Thank you for the experience.

Went to this restaurant in June while visiting my daughter. The restaurant setting was very understatedly beautiful. The appetizers and sides were the best part of the meal (polenta, broccolini and kale salad were outstanding). Meatballs were bland and chicken had a strange rubbery texture. Server was aloof as though he wanted to go home. No photos to share.

We went there for a friends birthday. We had 8 people in the party and we were told that due to big group and kitchen cannot handle the a la carte menu for us. Also they didnt give us a menu neither on the phone or at the spot. The server asked us what we dont eat and kitchen brought us the food to the table. Food was above average, but found a moving worm in the salad that made us worried although they offered to remake the dish. Service was very slow , we were seated at 8pm and the whole meal took us to 11pm... our server was everywhere and we couldnt find him most of the time. We sat closest to the open kitchen and we saw kitchen staff were chit chating and on their phone when they could have given us the rest of the food faster , earlier. They dont allow us to cut our bring in birthday cake, we had to find another place to cut the cake. Our bill ended up became 99 per person for that chefs menu which not including drinks and the 20% auto gratuity. Overall, its an over rated restaurant

Savio is one of my absolute fave restaurants in Vancouver. The food is delicious, the service is always spot on, and the atmosphere is a vibe. I ve celebrated birthdays here, bought gift cards from here for coworkers, brought my in-laws here, and had many date nights at Savio. Ever during covid I d order their food to go. Can t wait to come back.

Wow, what a meal. I cannot understate enough how delicious each of the dishes we got was. We had gone here once before, done the sample taster menu with friends about 2 years past. We have rarely done any course-style dining prior to this and were arguably apprehensive at spending a bit more. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how each dish was simple, unique and perfectly portioned. After a good experience then, we decided to then come again recently to celebrate our grandmother s birthday and were similarly blown away by the food and service. As they note, their dishes are rotated so it is a new tasting experience each time you go (with some familiar favourites). We did once again go for the taster menu, which enables your party to try many different dishes (customized and curated by the amazing staff for what your preferences are), while being perfectly proportioned in that it allows second servings if you re a big fan of a certain dish, while also not overfilling you for the following courses. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, while also being extremely respectful of your space and vibe. Our server for the most recent time (this past Sat) was Brayden (hope that is correct). She was fantastic, patient and very accommodating for those with preferences and allergies in our parties. Thank you for your service! Further, I am a big fan of the atmosphere and design of the restaurant. While limited to a singular room, the space does not feel limiting, though it should be noted that you will likely be in close proximity with other customers. However, I did not personally feel as though that negatively impacted me as their sound dampeners help with the echo of other conversations. The atmosphere, in my option, is as it should be; in a family style environment where everyone can enjoy the food in a common space. We had the most amazing meal. Chef Jorge really made the experience special. Every dish that arrived at the table was beautiful and cooked to perfection. The service was personable and attentive. I loved that it was an elevated dining experience without pretentious notions. We can t wait to come back.

It s hard but try to save room for dessert because it is very very well balanced and not over powered by sweetness. And~ of course the food is really good! You will be able to see how much the culinary team put effort into their dish. Above 5 stars worthy! Kid-friendliness: Lots of space to park stroller! Awesome kids pasta (that comes with a large meatball). I m surprised that even the kids menu the chef puts a lot of effort in it! Definitely worth the money.

Great restaurant and dining experience. Had the tasting menu. Each course was excellent and overall there was a ton of food. The only slightly negative thing was that the restaurant is very loud and it was hard to hear sometimes, but will definitely come back.

Savio Volpe never disappoints! First, the food is always exceptional. Quality of ingredients, creativity, preparation, and presentation are always top tier. Nate, our server on our most recent visit, was memorable both for his personality and the quality of his service. The room is simple, with natural wood, clean lines, and a sense of subdued, casual elegance. After several visits, Savio Volpe is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver.

Been here many times, never disappointed. The table wasn t ready when we arrived, and the server offered us Prosecco, olives and a snack to tie us over. There s no pressure in ordering, and they noted and mentioned that the dinner was for a celebration. Pork and lamb pasta was done to perfection, broccolini has this charcoal smoky taste that was delicious. Steak was tender but was underwhelmed. Chocolate tart was to die for.

The food was out of this world, the pasta was incredible. Also, the classic Negroni is a good choice if you fancy a cocktail.

Great food but seriously 27$ for meatballs with tomato sauce. The tagliatelle was not worth the price based upon the serving. The server seemed pissed off we didnt want a starter or salad. We had wine and beer and very expensive canoli. Overall great meal but very expensive for what we had.

We consider ourselves connoisseurs of Italian food, and this restaurant was by far one of the best food experiences outside Italy. The food, service and overall atmosphere were excellent. Great night with my family . Food is delicious and we all agree to come again for their pasta. Tagliatelle is a must dish and the pork belly comes with their homemade sauce that just blends together so well. Highly recommended!

The food was good, and the service was excellent. Ive been wanting to return for years, though it s usually very difficult to get a reservation. Tonight, however, we managed to get in on a Tuesday. We opted for the tasting menu, which had its highs and lows. The pasta was spectacular, and the pork and pork belly were delightful. The Kale salad was excellent. Unfortunately, we received a tough piece of steak, but they promptly took it back when we mentioned it. Overall, its a fantastic place to share some plates and have a great evening.

Was trying to book a table for 8. I was told up front that they charge 20% gratuity for parties of 6+. Fair enough, a bit high for sure. Then I was asked for a credit card number to put in file, so that if for some reason we can t make it, then they would charge us $25 per person as a penalty!! Am I the only one who thinks this is totally insane!! Obviously I decided to book a table at another restaurant.

Amazing pasta. Truly an experience but expect slow service as it s super busy. If you expect to be full by eating just pasta then good luck and open up your wallet to spend over $200 minimum

Service was good, pasta was on the mediocre side and was expensive. I ordered the saffron linguine but all i could taste was an overwhelming amount of lemon and no saffron at all. Way too much lemon was used. A friend ordered the chicken which was good, not dry and decent portion. I tried a couple other pasta dishes that friends ordered which were also mediocre for the price. Not worth trying again in my opinion.

Tables were placed a bit too close to each other near the back of the restaurant. Not much privacy. Other than that, food was delicious.

We went for our 2nd anniversary, as someone in the service industry I tend to like to own my own experience and choose my partner and Is dishes, but today we went for the Alla famiglia ( They course out a 5 course meal for $85 per person based off dietary restrictions and preferences). Our server Nate chose 5 delicious courses for us, we left happy and full with leftovers! Was a great value with sophisticated and charming service. Thank you to the team for making our night out a special one!

Loved the food here. We wanted to get the surprise dinner where the chef decides what you get. We provided all of our restrictions and were pleasantly surprised that there were so much selection. We did not pace ourselves well as we assumed the portions were small and it would end after the pasta but it kept on coming so we were very happy. All the food was delicious and very tasty. Remember to book early as it is impossible to book last minute.

Came here with high expectations given all the praise online and was frankly quite disappointed. Service and atmosphere were good, but the food unfortunately wasnt. We tried a salad and a few pastas, and most of it was okay (6-7/10). We also tried their red pesto on special and it was overpoweringly garlic (3/10). It was all we could taste for the next hour. Perhaps it was an off night but not sure if wed come back.

First the food is really good. I highly recommend the saffron Linguine. The seafood sauce was very flavorful. The focaccia was really good too. After we had the linguine and focaccia, we waited for about 40 mins for the next dish. We did ask about it after waiting for 30 mins... I would expect the waiter to notice the problem as we were simply sitting there. I gave it 4/5 for service even though our food were forgotten but it was probably an isolated incident and they gave me a gelato for my birthday The atmosphere is nice and simple but can be a bit noisy.

I came for my birthday dinner with my girlfriend and we were seated on a busy Sunday night. Pascale served us and she was a class act and absolutely outstanding! Strong professionalism, a hilarious personality and warm service, with all the know-how. She informed us of specials and as first-timers, the ethos of Savio Volpe: a family-style eatery with a focus on sharing. Never had an empty glass of water the whole night too. We ordered the Ciabatta and Grilled Broccolini to start. Ciabatta was fluffy, fresh and buttery, and massive. Broccolini was fresh, had a deep smokiness from the grill and had excellent bite to it. For mains, we ordered the Pork Ragu Guanciale Tagliatelle and the Saffron Linguine with Side Stripe Shrimp. Top of our list for pastas weve ever had, bar none. Perfectly toothsome and al dente handmade pastas with both rich sauces and delicately seasoned offerings on each. Both highly recommend. It being a busy Sunday night, the entrées took longer than expected but was not anything out of the ordinary for us to note. Leela, the GM, took the liberty to offer meatballs from the kitchen on the house for our patience. To me, it was less that we now had meatballs with a delicious marinara sauce on the table, but more of the principle and gesture to have that done for us out of respect for the longer wait that spoke volumes and really elevated our experience. Excellent management and a great team to back it up. Pascale and Leela, youre the best! Well absolutely be back soon. If you havent tried this place out, let this long review be your sign.

Ive been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, but it ended up being a disappointment. The food was mediocre at best especially for its price. We started with the sourdough focaccia, which was probably the best item we had, and the chefs selection of three salumi and three formaggi, which was nothing special. For pasta, we had the Gemelli, which was too salty for my taste. The pork belly we ordered as the main dish was also unimpressive and took too long to arrive. The roasted Brussels sprouts were just okay. We ended up taking leftovers home as we lost our appetite waiting for the food to be served. The service was good, with our server being attentive and checking in on us several times. The ambiance was nice, but the two-person tables were too close together, making it awkward to have a conversation with my partner. I could even hear the conversations of people seated at a table away from ours. Overall, the experience was underwhelming.
