I like spaghetti factory I went the location in Montreal several times. I expected a lot Vancouver one because I've heard that Vancouver is the original. However, our server was extremely not nice...? I didn't mind at the moment that my friend kept saying that he doesn't like her because she's not friendly? Although I also didn't like her service, I thought maybe she had extremely hard day or just busy, so I just wished her day will be better and gave her 25% of tips. The problem was that she even didn't appreciate for that. Just simply said thank you with very cold reaction?... and she didn't change her attitude after that.. The food and atmosphere were not bad! But I gave one star only because of the server. I don't remember her name exactly. The short blonde white girl with glasses? Probably Joanna? with V sound.
Nice affordable restaurant! The mussels weren't fresh, but the quality was not bad for the price. The ravioli pasta was a little salty for me, and the tomato pasta was a little bit salty. The onion soup and salad included in the course were really good. I would like to visit again.
During my recent visit to Vancouver, I wanted to spend a relaxing Saturday night enjoying some drinks and food at a local spot. I was hoping for a nice evening out, but unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. We started the evening with a round of drinks. They were alright—not particularly memorable but acceptable enough to start off the night. After the drinks, we decided to order a few appetizers, beginning with the chicken wings. Right away, we noticed something off about them; they had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it difficult to even take a bite. We also ordered steamed mussels, hoping for a classic seafood experience. However, these were far from appetizing—the texture and taste were off, and they didn’t seem fresh at all. We also had some shrimp, which, thankfully, was a bit better and more enjoyable, but by then, our overall impression was starting to turn sour. To make things worse, I had to use the restroom during our visit. Unfortunately, it was not well-maintained. There were no paper towels available, and the trash can was completely overflowing, which just added to the poor impression. This lack of cleanliness didn’t inspire much confidence in the restaurant’s hygiene standards overall. Even though the prices were relatively cheap, the quality was so disappointing that we ultimately decided to cut the evening short. We ended up leaving with most of our food half-eaten, which was unfortunate but felt necessary. Overall, it wasn’t the enjoyable night out I had hoped for, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our experience.
We recently planned a birthday dinner celebration for my 9-year-old, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the start, the management and hostess team were fantastic to work with. They were responsive throughout our email exchanges and went above and beyond by allowing us to bring decorations and a cake the day before, ensuring it would be a surprise. They were always pleasant and accommodating. On the day of the event, we booked an early reservation in hopes of securing the caboose, and to our delight, it was beautifully decorated and perfectly set for our group. It looked amazing! Our server, Raquel, was an absolute delight. With a warm smile and a helpful demeanor, she handled everything with grace, even with three excited children in our party. She was patient, informative, and attentive from start to finish, making sure everything went smoothly. The food was outstanding! With a group of 9, each with different tastes, it’s rare to satisfy everyone, but all of us were thrilled with our meals. When it was time for the cake, the entire serving staff joined in to sing Happy Birthday, which made our birthday girl’s day even more special. A huge thank you to Raquel and the entire team for making our event such a memorable success. We’ll definitely be back!
Stepping into this restaurant is like entering a living museum. The decor is absolutely stunning, with walls adorned with an impressive collection of paintings and museum-like artifacts that create a warm, charming atmosphere. The ambiance alone makes it a delightful place to spend an evening. However, the food leaves much to be desired. While the pesto dish was good, easily the best item on the menu, the rest of the offerings were incredibly disappointing. We tried ten different dishes, and unfortunately, none of them rose above a 1 out of 10. The flavors were flat, and the overall quality was far below what you would expect given the beautiful surroundings. If you're looking for a place with a captivating ambiance, this spot might be worth a visit. But if food is your priority, you might want to look elsewhere.
Don’t usually like to come to Downtown for dinner due to the stress to find parking, but was curious about the all inclusive options that Old Spaghetti Factory offers so decided to give it a try… Very impressed with the food and beverage quality, everything was very fresh, detailed attention to presentation, and generous portions for the price. Wine and cocktails were a hit, frugal prices for the quality and the size of what you will be getting, we ordered a white peach sangria, and it came with big chunks of pineapple, orange and lime, very eye catching. Also have good amount of selection for kids menu, will strongly recommend for families with children as menu comes with complementary ice cream. Our waiter Josue was attentive, smiley and helpful to make great recommendations, even though we were there for dinner on a busy Saturday night, he made sure that we had everything we needed. Vintage ambience for a little of a different style, there is even an old Trolley bus with tables inside, quite entertaining for kiddos. Definitely worth the visit and looking forward to come back soon to try other menu items
We usually don't like coming to downtown for meals because traffic and parking are inconvenient. However, recently, Gastown has been converted into a pedestrian zone. Cars can be parked in the outer parking lots, and as long as you register online when you get to the restaurant, you don't have to pay for parking and can park for three hours. It's only a few minutes walk from the parking lot to this restaurant. This week, I have already brought friends here twice. I can't remember how many years ago I last visited this restaurant, but the interior has basically remained unchanged, still very beautiful with a warm atmosphere. Today I brought my dog, so we sat on the patio, which is surrounded by flowers and plants, making it very romantic. We arrived a little after 4 PM and got a seat immediately, but customers kept coming in and it soon filled up. For happy hour specials, we ordered steamed mussels, tender chicken, fried sweet potatoes, fried calamari and I also ordered seafood spaghetti, which came with salad ,tea and ice cream. I think the sweet yam fries are the best in town. I love the flavor and seasoning. The steamed mussels are a must-have; they are so fresh. The calamari was delicious, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, with perfect batter. I paid an extra $1.50 to substitute the spaghetti with multi-grain, and the tomato sauce was so flavorful with perfectly cooked noodles. Although the restaurant was full of customers, the waitstaff provided attentive service, and the food was served without much delay. My friend and I are very happy to have come here, and we plan to come back because of the great food,prices and service.
A wonderful restaurant to visit at Gas Town - warm & decorative design environment. The "It's All Included" meals were great - you can enjoy the soup or salad, bread, main dish, dessert, & also coffee or tea in an inexpensive price. Service was attentive although I observed that there might not be enough servers for such a large restaurant at that time (I was there at 11:30 a.m., no one was at the reception area & had to wait for a while to be seated - a table for 4). However, when we were seated, we were greeted promptly. I especially would like to compliment the server Victoria, she had a very pleasant personality. She was very busy at that time but still wore a friendly smile. Kudos to her!!! Definitely will visit this restaurant again.
Disastrous, dry and hard bread, I asked for a fruit drink which didnt have strawberries, the waiter said it would have it and came back with a denial of fruit, so I asked for tangerine, the waiter said again that it would have it and came back with another denial, so I had to choose what the house had to offer, not what I would like.

Have to give a major shout out to Chanho , our server tonight! This guy was amazing, attentive, friendly, fast and accommodating to our special dietary requirements. He was an absolute pleasure to have serving us and couldn t ask for anything better. Highly recommend him an this restaurant.
By entering this restaurant, you suddenly jumped into an old and historical atmosphere. Amazing decoration, specially an old wagon Professional and respectful servers. The pasta and tortellini was perfect The portion and price is really reasonable. Great choice for gathering with friends and family
Raw scallops. I had food poisoning all week so bad I wanted to die. I have been coming here my whole life but now I cant go back. Very very disappointed
The atmosphere is nice, but Im not sure about the spaghetti.
Craving spaghetti and invited my sis out for dinner. She had steak and I had spaghetti. We tried each others dishes. The steak was pretty good. They had this new dessert doughnuts with hazelnut chocolate filling (unfortunately it had a bad aftertaste). We had some ice cream and then paid the bill and left a generous tip.

This location has a old street car that is haunted And the womens washroom here has been reported to be haunted to name a few spots here at this location . Lots of places to sit around from outdoors to indoors from hard chairs to comfy booths . Lots of neat decorations here . Its in a central location in Gastown. Pay parking around and waterfront station nearby and public transportation in area . Its a very friendly family restaurant and it welcomes everyone from families, work groups ,couples, singles, business class types, everyone etc ....it can get crowded at rush hours times so reservations are recommended ....I love when my work places have are meals here .... the atmosphere is my favorite with the old fashioned decor in a historic building ...food portions / service/ food quality is good....am a spaghetti factory fan
The place has a beautiful atmosphere, the price quality ratio is commensurate. The attention is kind. It is one of the restaurants that I frequent, I am allergic to garlic, so there I make a suggestion. But they usually solve it well, I come back, enjoy it and recommend it.
I tell you that the place is very beautiful to spend a good time with family or friends, excellent service, attentive and very friendly staff. While visiting Vancouver we decided to eat there since it caught our attention (we didnt take the time to validate opinions ) We were a group of 10 people and although we spoke very nice English they assigned us a waiter who spoke Spanish. The quality and quantity of the food is quite good, absolutely everything was delicious, I recommend the onion soup, fair price. I would definitely return!

He was very friendly, always smiling, and gave us great advice on what to order. It was our first time there, and his recommendations made it even better. Cen was the waiter for me and my friends and he made our night! So friendly and he has such a good energy! Also there was another waiter young with dragon ball z nails and blonde hair who kept bringing us bread and things but I didn t catch their name. They made it such a nice experience along with the food being really good.

Food was excellent as always, but the service was so overwhelming as they were trying to turn the table over as we were still eating our mains and ordering more drinks. It was the weekend of the Eras Tour but still...we shouldnt be getting rushed out of there after only sitting down for around 30 minutes.

Its a shop that takes you back to the 19th century, with its retro, antique furniture and decorations set in a red brick townscape. The stained glass creates a calm atmosphere. Theres also a retro train. is located inside the store, and you can also eat inside. Founded 55 years ago, Of 15 stores, this is the first store. Spaghetti with Meatballs is the main dish. Large sourdough, bread (warm). Whipped garlic butter . minestrone soup . Main dish. It was very delicious.

Where should I start writing ... It was the BEST experience. I had a reservation so I reccoment you get that. Their prices is so make sence. They had a basic menu which include 1 bread with garlic butter, 1 soup(we paid extra for onion soup), 1 main dish , 1 ice cream and coffee/tea. All of them was unbeliable. I can still taste that garlic butter with hot bread. Onion soup was so good, lasagna was so enough for one person and it was tasty with tomato and cheese. The other pasta is so good too but I forget the name. I recomend get the other ice cream. This wasnt taste perfect and get a coffee instead of tea. Our server was so helpful for the night. He reccomend good things.
I had a wonderful dining experience at The old spaghetti factory Gas town. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch! What really stood out to me was the staff s honesty and dedication. I accidentally left my phone at the restaurant, and when I called about an hour later, they had already secured it for me. Even though it was almost closing time, they kindly waited for me to come back and retrieve it. I m truly grateful for their help and highly recommend this restaurant not only for the great food but also for the outstanding customer service!

Great meal. Friendly staff and very attentive. Was busy, so as we didnt book there was a short wait for a table. However it was well worth the weight. The all inclusive concept was great. Main meal plus choice of salad or soup, ice cream and tea or coffee. Couldnt fault the visit at all.

Interior is so nice with an old train installation, people are free to take photos and dine inside , feel like going back to the 80s! But clam linguine is too blend , can t even hold on to the last bite clams is canned ones not fresh ones garlic butter bread and soup are as good as always though , the set is so good in value to end with a tasty vanilla ice cream

We were able to make a last minute reservation here - like an hour before we wanted to eat. We got there and while it was crowded, we were seated right away. We both got pasta dishes and both were delicious. All of the food was so good. My dish in particular, the pasta with meat sauce, was even better the next day. Prices were reasonable. Service was kind of hit and miss. While we were seated right away, and the food came out quite fast, it took a long time for us to get our check. Like we kept trying to flag down our server and it still took longer than we wanted. We would definitely go back!

Good is delicious and the atmosphere too. However, the service is not the best. Waiters are pushing all the time. The last two times the waiters interrupted us several times by picking up the dishes but we still had food left. The last one served the iced cream in plastic cups.

Enjoyed the food and appreciate the history of the place. Sad that theyve spoken out against the pedestrianization of Water St, seems illogical that they believe this is bad for business- personally Ive never seen Gastown so vibrant as it is now with the area closed to cars, feels European and looks like far more people are spending time there. If there are concerns about losing the suburbanites perhaps they can offer incentives like discounts if you show your compass card, or bike helmet...? Would prefer OSF to seek solutions rather than ruin it for the rest of us.

Sister and I had a fantastic meal here today. Food great and Tommy our waitor (from England, like us) was very friendly, attentive and could not do enough to make our meal there lovely. Sat in the tram which was awesome. Defo recommend and the price was excellent for what you get. All included as described on menu with no hidden extras. 10/10, thanks
The food was excellent; the Calamari was especially good. Jose is a credit to the business. Very friendly and professional. I saw he took time out to stop and chat with other tables that had obviously become familiar with him. Rare to see hospitality staff take their time with customers. Kudos to him.

Overall, we had a nice experience dining at the restaurant, but I d like to mention a few points. There were two of us, but at first, we only received one glass of water. Later, a guy (maybe busser) noticed that we were two and brought a second glass. Our server, Ryan, took our order and brought the soft drinks. Later, I noticed that every table around us received the complimentary bread and butter, even tables that were seated after us. Eventually, Ryan realized we didn t get the complimentary bread and brought it, but it was a bit late because we just received the soup and then the pasta. However, about 5-8 minutes later, the chicken wings were served. I feel it s important to serve the food in the correct order: 1. Complimentary bread, 2. Appetizers (chicken wings and soup), 3. Main dish (pasta). In the end, we took the chicken wings to go. Also, please check the soft drink machine regularly for maintenance. My drink had a terrible taste, and I ended up cancelling the beverage instead of ordering another one. Despite these issues, the service, atmosphere, and food (pasta and soup) were very good. Ryan, our server, was kind and attentive. We will definitely come back.
There was a bit of trouble when we were ordering - our server did not seem to understand our orders, which led to more back-and-forth than necessary (e.g., my friend was ordering a red sangria, and he asked New York?). And he did not back to refill our waters, even once. We were disappointed with the service, as it seems to declining. The portion also appears to have shrunken, but I may have also just remembered wrong. This was our go-to spot for us whenever we met up (given where our group of friends work/live), but we likely will not be coming back.
There was a place very similar to this in the Houston, Tx area called Old Spaghetti Warehouse, so we were very hopeful that this would be a similar experience. It had virtually the same decor, same atmosphere, but that is where the similarly ended. The food was OK at best, the fettuccine alfredo had no flavor and there was very little alfredo sauce. The service was horrific, The waitress said it is a slow night, so we thought service would be good. We were seated fairly quickly, then just sat there for about 10 minutes before our waitress arrived, and that was an indicator of what was to come. We would finish one course of the meal and have to just sit and wait for her come back. The only good things were the atmosphere and the sourdough bread.
Visited the old spaghetti factory in both Vancouver and Banff on our recent trip over the rockies. We both had excellent food at extremely good prices with very good service.With a main course you automatically get a free soup or salad and ice cream desert. Beverages selection was excellent all at very reasonable prices, good draft beer.
Good food and good atmosphere. The all-inclusive menu with soup, main course and dessert is highly recommended in terms of price-performance. The portions are large. The service was friendly, but since we were sitting in a corner of the restaurant, it took a long time before we got the service staffs attention. Due to the size of the restaurant it is also rather loud.

The design of the restaurant is special and beautiful. The clam chowder soup the best I ve tried in Vancouver. The steak is a little bit overcooked but overall I would rate this restaurant a 5 star. I would definitely come again next time.
Excellent service, tasty food, large portions. Bread and garlic butter tasty as always. I d recommend the goat cheese cranberry almond salad with chicken. Also enjoyed the pistachio-chocolate-vanila ice cream and lemonade.

Very great restaurant.
The restaurant has an incredible decoration, which invites you to enter and creates expectations that unfortunately will not be met. On the menu you find many all-inclusive dishes that are very good for the price and quantity. However, we ordered three different dishes and none were outstanding. In addition, we tried the three companions they offer to complete your menu: sourdough bread, soup and salad and these were disappointing. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was not a bad experience but it is not a restaurant to repeat.
Stopped there for a quick lunch with my sister. We had great Seafood Linguine and great Fettuccine Alfredo. Definitely a stop worth. Kudos to our fabulous waitress Sofia.

The atmosphere is nice. I can see some history in the restaurant. Howerever, I am disappointed with the food and service. The chicken wings was way too sour. The Onion soup looks good but salty. There was no service at all. I can not find a single servicer. No one fill-up the glass even we asked for it. I am just disappointed. Not recommended.
We had a good time at this location. Our server was nice and attentive The food came out a little slow as expected because it was busy. Their all included menu is so helpful when you are a little tight on budget but still want to enjoy. They don t offer dessert if its your special day but they do have ice cream included in the set and will sing if you want to

Charming restaurant with wonderful service. The last time we went was in the 80s, and we were pleasantly surprised to find the old character persisting to this day. The place is deceptively huge with space for large groups. The food, while not remarkable, is without question tasty and incredible value for money. We highly recommend the OSF, especially for family gatherings or office parties.
This place has given me different impressions, but the last time was good after all. I hope the quality and service will be maintained until the next time.

Love the atmosphere and food
Went to happy hour and enjoyed shrimp and steamed mussels as appetizer and seafood linguine was so good. And clamchowder soup(costs extra $2.5 but worth it) with bread was excellent combination. My children loved ice-cream smoothie as well. All in all, everything was excellent with classic lamps and interior.

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Wir waren diesmal zum Mittagessen hier. Der Wunsch im Trolley zu sitzen wurde uns erfüllt. Der Service war wie immer super. Auch das Essen war wieder sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt unserer Meinung nach hier einfach noch. Wenn wir wieder in Vancouver sind, kommen wir mit Sicherheit wieder. Danke schön!!!
I used to really enjoy the tomato soups and pasta in my childhood, but lately, the pastas been always overcooked (spaghetti with spicy meat sauce) and the sauces too watery (seafood linguine marinara and alfredo) during multiple visits. The pesto linguine and spumoni ice cream, though, are still the #1 highlight and always worth it, so Id firmly recommend those two.
There is a lot. Try to remain kind. Its a good place to eat out. However, there is a slightly hectic atmosphere and an unknown waiting policy. Its a reasonable price.

Place is great but they have a fish tank so dirty and the fishes are swimming in it, that should happen.

I m not saying Edward at the Old Spaghetti Factory is a wizard, but I ve been to Hogwarts and his service is pretty spellbinding. Let me break it down for you: 1. I m pretty sure he knows the secret to eternal youth, too, because he s been working there since the dinosaurs were roaming. 2. Speed of Service: Faster Than a Caffeinated Cheetah - You ll blink and your food is on the table. I swear he s mastered teleportation. Either that or he has a magical portal behind the counter. Either way, you re not waiting for anything here, not even a single second. 3. Attention to Detail: Hawk-eyed and Highly Intuitive - Edward doesn t just listen to your order; he reads your mind. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and he must have seen into my soul because my plate came with an extra meatball that I didn t even know I needed. 4. Positive Vibes: Absolutely Unstoppable - Nothing bad ever happens when Edward is working at the Old Spaghetti Factory. It s like the universe aligns to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of perfection. I even saw a rainbow in the restaurant once just saying. In short, dining with Edward at the helm is like being on a reality TV show where everything goes right. If you re not eating at the Old Spaghetti Factory with Edward, you re doing it wrong. 10/10, would recommend to my friends, family, and anyone who asks about the secret to a flawless dining experience.

Just Wow, went with my best friend . The food is lovely the service is perfect and the atmosphere is just Wow. I advice you guys to book a reservation before going as it gets crowded pretty quickly.
We had a party of 12 go before the Pink concert. Made reservations a week before with the manager Summer, and she was awesome. We got stuck in traffic and were late and they were supper accommodating and understanding. Dinner was great, service was great, but Summer went above and beyond to ensure our party was happy and taken care of. If only I had an extra Taylor Swift ticket to bring her with us! We will be back! Thank you Summer, you rock!
Good value pasta and all-in price is worth going for. Getting more like a chain restaurant at busy times.

A good recommendation for dinner on a night out in Vancouver. Good food, not too expensive, but still far above your generic fast food chain. You can get a full menu for a decent price, have a glass of wine with it, enjoy the decor, have some fun, take your time and then go on to explore Vancouvers night life, since its located in a nice spot as well for that. Reservation recommended but not mandatory.
You have to go! The restaurant is very nice, large and they take care of all the details. The prices are affordable and the portions are large. I would definitely return
Nice food, lovely staff, they let us enter and hand the train or monorail that was there ( I really dont know whats it called ) I loved the spaghetti, the ice cream for dessert was delicious and lovely decorations definitely another togo list Fyi: you cant leave withought trying the lasagna and you have to eat it completely.

Absolutly a place to go in Vancouver! Perfect service and best value for money you can have downtown. All mains include salad or soup and ice-cream or cafe afterwards. Given that prices are absolutely outstanding, especially compared to the restaurants around. Quality of food is also excellent, so I went here twice during my stay and will come back once I come to Vancouver again
Very good restaurant at a very affordable price compared to what is around. Excellent cocktails, the pastas are good but quite basic. The staff on the other hand is super friendly and the atmosphere is very cool!
