Finally a authentic Mexican please , fresh food , great variety, behind kitchen staff friendly and attentive We love the Mexican music and the desserts bar So yummy 3 Included drinks were just to die for the orchata one of my favourite ***But my only but was the service , plates pile on your table , never approached to ask if you ok but when they charge you at the entrance you have to add tip We will go back for sure but I’ll tip by the end to see if they have a willing to improve The best Mexican buffet in town all food is on point as if you are in Mexico ❤️
Went for the Buffet and it was absolutely amazing, so many flavours and everything was cooked perfectly. The meat was falling off the bone, and all the flavours were there. Everything was hot and perfect temperature. I will definitely go back and highly recommend. Great service as well.
I loved the place; it's very colorful, the atmosphere is incredible, the food is very delicious and the Very good service. I highly recommend you to come and especially on Thursday because there is Mariachi. Feel the Mexican atmosphere.
Great for socializing and big groups! The atmosphere was very uplifting and bright. The food tasted ok, big portion size tho. I highly recommend their drinks! The horchata was really good!
Great food! Great atmosphere, definitely worth it one hour waiting time! Be prepared to be on the line, arrive early and enjoy!
Food is ok, I expected more for the price. We went to the buffet and it was very limited, not a lot of options. If you're vegetarian don't even bother, might be better to order from the menu instead. The service was really nice and the place is big and good atmosphere. However they mostly have tables for larger parties, if you're a small group you might be asked to share a table.
I had great tacos from this restaurant. The employee was very friendly and asked all of my questions about the menu. We went on taco Tuesday where you can get 3 tacos for 12 dollars. The quality of the ingredients were great and they were all tasty. It wasn’t enough to fill me up but your mileage may vary. I would definitely come back here to try other items on the menu in the future! If you’re nearby and want to try good Mexican place, I would recommend this restaurant.
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at this restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The quality of the food was top-notch, with great portions and incredible taste. In my opinion, the flavours were similar or even better than the Mexican food I’ve had in Mexico. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant had good vibes. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Mexican cuisine around Vancouver. Try out the Mahi Tuna dish, the cream cheese flan, as well as the cucumber lime fresh water!
Really delicious food
Good taste, clean, and good service however, it was my first time and I thought that somebody could attend me in the door but never happened so, I waste 5 minutes waiting for someone.
Excellent service and food, at the buffet all the dishes are delicious.
El Comal
Delicious food and very friendly people, I recommend it!!! Thanks for everything
This place is worth every penny. It was SO good and there were so many different dishes to choose from!
Craving a taste of Mexico without the plane ticket? Look no further than Toloache. This hidden gem serves up authentic Mexican cuisine thats so good, youll be salsa dancing in your seat. From the moment you step inside, youre transported to a colorful and lively atmosphere. The decor is vibrant, the music is upbeat, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Its the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family . The menu at Toloache boasts a wide variety of classic Mexican dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The guacamole is creamy and flavorful, the nachos are crispy and cheesy, and the mole poblano is a rich and complex masterpiece. For the adventurous eaters, the tacos al pastor are a must-try. But thats not all. Toloache also offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, so theres something for everyone. The chilaquiles are a hearty and satisfying dish, and the tacos al pastor can be enjoyed without the meat. Toloache s a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly authentic Mexican dining experience in Vancouver. With its delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and excellent service, its easy to see why this restaurant has become a local favorite. So, what are you waiting for?!
Amazing place to try different mexican dishes
Super delicious food, with flavor of Mexico
Hate to say it but it was the worst burrito I ve ever had tons of cheap grocery store style guacamole with a little bit of white rice, salsa and beans. Avoid.
The food is great! Many options and the staff is very friendly
Food here is amazing! Especially the flan!
Best burrito I ever tasted. No other Mexican food in Vancouver compares.
Definition of mediocre. I ordered two burritos through doordash and they were very tasteless. Food was decent but not served hot or fresh. dont buy the vegetarian burritos, they are very bad.
I like it a lot, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant.
The only good thing about the buffet is the desserts; the food is either too salty or tasteless. They lowered the buffets quality this is the reality of Mexican restaurants in Vancouver.
Ok, this place is more or less set up like a fast food joint. Its neat, its clean and brightly lit. Ill give you that. Its nice they have the hand-wash sink at the side without having to get to the washroom. Music is much too loud, no good unless youre eating solo. Please turn it down! Service? What service? Like I said, fast-food level. You order at the counter, find a seat and someone will bring your order out. I object to paying first and asking for tips (on the machine) before Ive even received any service or food! Now about them food. I dunno about the buffet but the regular menu is really skimpy. Mostly just tacos, burritos and rice bowls. Thats pretty much it. Even the taco selection is pretty small, like theres maybe 6 options to choose from? The quality is ok. Just ok. Definitely not the best tacos Ive had, not even close. The tortillas are just like the decent stuff you could buy in any Mexican market here. The filling quantity is big, Ill give you that. In fact, Id suggest they should just give you 3 tortillas with the same amount of filling. It would look way better for a marginal cost increase. So the problem for a SINGLE taco, its $6.95. And despite what the guy says, 2-3 tacos is not enough, even for a little kid, unless its just a light snack. So youre looking at $14-21 for a small appy? Hmm....yeah, good thing we werent hungry. Thats the only way we got away with spending under $20 per person. If we had been hungry wed be looking at close to $30 per person, without any drinks. Is it worth a trip out here to try? No. There aint nothing here to surprise or delight you. Would I return? No. The variety is limited, the quality is just ok, average Id say while the price is high. Theres nothing unique to try here and its gonna be PRICEY. You want authentic Mexican? Even in Vancouver you got better options.
It was my first time in this restaurant and I absolutely loved it. Good mexican vibes since the moment you enter the place. Original music that brings you to Mexico and proper mexican food at a reasonable price. Since it was my first time there I asked Jafet for some recommendations and It was a good choice. Jafet was very attentive and friendly.
The best Mexican food and buffet place in Vancouver and the service is excellent
I came to Canada to study for 6 months at VGC College, this restaurant is close to me and I have had breakfast here several times, the food is delicious, the service is good and they speak Spanish as well as English!!^^ the place is quite nice and clean, the staff is helpful and attentive ^^
Restaurant with very spacious facilities, the service is fast, the attention is very good, the dishes they offer are typical Mexican and have an acceptable flavor Kid-friendliness: They have special chairs for children
Rich rich rich
Everything is so good! especially the deserts. Will come back again
Was the most incredible experience, the service was amazingly and the real authentic Mexican food was delicious they give us the best service ever for me and my family.
Service excellent
The food was delicious and the staff was very kind to us, I highly recommend it, its like trying a piece of Mexico in Canada
It is very delicious, one of the best Mexican foods in the city, very similar to that of Mexico. Its not TexMex fortunately. The only problem is that the food is sometimes not very hot but you can ask for it to be heated and thats it. This is a Mexican food restaurant that includes meat, eggs, cheese and cream, so you wont be surprised by the menu. I recommend it and of course I will return.
The best Mexican buffet! They have a variety of dishes, desserts, waters and juices, recommended 20/10
Everything is very rich Dietary restrictions: None
This guys are the real deal! Trust me from the little conchas to their juicy birria, everything fresh and very authentic. If you try their weekend buffet make sure you go really hungry, lots of food
I love this food
The food is excellent with large portions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it
Expensive but that s probably the landowners fault! It s worth it, if anyone wants to collectively lobby the landowner into lowering their rent so they can stay and provide delicious food for a long time at a good price hit me up! Parking: City parking!
Wow, I really liked everything I tried. Considering that I dont eat meat, they have a great variety, and everything is delicious. From the coffee and natural drinks, especially the horchata, to the desserts, everything is very tasty. So, go try the buffet on weekends!
Larger portions than expected for tacos, but not the most flavourful. However, great selection of hot sauces really helps. Taquitos were delicious. Food
Weekend Buffet @toloachemk Sat - Sun 10am to 3pm CAD $39.50 - Adults Lots of authentic and delicious Mexican dishes, lots of dessert options, and non alcoholic drinks included. Alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. Pay upfront at the entrance. Try it at least once, Im sure youll be back, just as I will. Owner Bruno and the whole staff are extremely polite and professional. A wonderful experience indeed! Thank you!
Pleasant, comfy, friendly and good food
Great place for Mexican food! We went on a Saturday for the brunch buffet and it was amazing. As newcomers in Vancouver we were looking for a good place to go whenever we feel homesick and Toloache is just that. Great food, authentic Mexican flavors, everybody is very nice and buffet service is clean and fast with great options. The 3 leches cake AMAZING.
Good service good food. Good everything
Amazing place good food nice environment
Awesome food and service!
Huuuuuuge portions on the nachos. First time there but I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.
Bad experience We were a group of friends and BEFORE paying the buffet asked if they had vegan dishes and the person at the entrance told us yes. Once we paid it turned out that they didnt have any... the person lied to get them on the hook and pay everyone. The very kind waitress Majo regretted the situation and gave us the option of having the money returned to her and the opportunity to bring vegan food to the restaurant so that she could continue with us. It was because of its vegan food and when she wanted to return to the restaurant with us, the person at the entrance did not want to let her pass. I feel sorry for the fact that even though the person at the entrance (who from the badge he had apparently is the manager) had told her that there was vegan food and it turned out that there wasnt, just to consume, he gave her a hard time my friend and everyone for not wanting to let her pass. HE LIED TO HER AND ALSO HE DIDNT WANT TO LET HER PASS. Nor as a gesture of the mistake he made. We are very grateful to the waitress Majo for her great kindness, empathy and support in everything. You are an excellent person Majo! Vegetarian options: Yes there was, but as a suggestion they could also have vegan options. Identify and have knowledge first between vegetarian and vegan
Bad experience, good food. I went with a group of friends and one of them is vegan. We asked BEFORE we went through and paid if there were options for her. The guy at the entrance made bad jokes but in the end they said yes. Confident in that we went, paid and began to serve ourselves. At that moment we realized that the only thing I could have eaten would have been beans and chilaquiles but they had cream and cheese (and thats not worth the $39 CAD). Looking for a solution, we asked if we could bring food from outside; They said yes and when my friend came back with her food they didnt want to let her pass. In the end he came in but the bad faces didnt stop. We ONLY thank Majo, a friendly girl on the staff, who advocated for her and tried to liven up our stay. Vegetarian options: Beans and chilaquiles, thats everything and there are NO vegans.
Delicious food, quick counter service
Food is great. However , Service is extremely slow. Rating them down only for poor service. Go there with time in hand !
The worst Mexican food experience in Vancouver, the burritos only have poorly cooked white rice soaked with a pinch of meat of your choice with very bad seasoning, accompanied by a ramekin of green sauce that is only water with a greenish color without any flavor or consistency, finally, the tortilla soup was a thick and lukewarm paste, the truth is not worth it, first and last.
One of the worst places in Vancouver tu eat Mexican food cuisine . Really bad burritos Must erase the word Mexican from this place. Don t go there! Food : 1/5 |
One of my favourite Mexican restaurants in town! The Consome Toloache and Pastor tacos are my go to. 10/10 would recommend.
Cafeteria style then you have food served to you. Lovely fresh. Vegetarian options: Nachos with refried beans. Guacamole was amazing! Food : 5/5 |
We stopped by for lunch on a weekday, and the place wasnt very busy. We tried the rice bowl and tacos. The tacos were good, but the rice bowl was just alright
I loved the food, the place, everything. I recommend it one hundred percent. the taste of the food is authentic mexican
I m from Mexico and I am looking always for a place that taste a Mexico. I highly recommend to visit the restaurant for the buffet on saturdays and sundays (yes, Sundays offer buffet). I went around 10:00 am and there was no line wait. Food has a really good flavor and variety. I am gonna suggest something for the owners: you need to set up the chilaquiles in an small container to keep them fresh because after some hours in the same place they look dry and nobody was eating them (so became in a food waste). Price is worth it, waiters are fast and friendly. Place is clean. I like I definitely will back.
Maybe just the vegetarian options, but found their green chorizo very bland. Those I was with eating meat seemed to enjoy it. Nice space, but Taqueria was better.
The food is delicious, the place is super comfortable, if you go you have to try the burritos 100% I love it
The best mole I have ever tasted in my entire life! The food is an 11 out of 10 authentic Mexican flavor and seasoning
The food was very salty, the water tasted like jatabe, very overrated
A good buffet! A lot of variety, my favorite was the three milks cake and the flan
Toloache Mexican Kitchen is a vibrant and inviting culinary haven that seamlessly fuses authentic Mexican flavors with a modern twist. The restaurants vibrant decor and welcoming ambiance set the stage for a delightful dining experience. From the zesty guacamole to the flavorful tacos and exquisite entrees, each dish reflects the chefs dedication to qality and innovation. The extensive tequila and mezcal selection further enhances the dining experience, offering a diverse range of premium spirits. With attentive service and an exciting array of flavors, Toloache Mexican Kitchen stands as a must-visit destination for those seeking a taste of Mexicos rich culinary heritage.
Delicious food, I ordered some green chilaquiles and they were very delicious, the beans a little tasteless but they were passable. The service was very bad, they didnt bother to assist me, I had to call them. In the end I called them again to order a drink, but they took so long to answer that in the end I just asked for my bill.
My bf and I were super excited to come and eat here but were a bit disappointed with all of the food being cold, and appearing to have been sitting out for quite some time. The staff were super friendly though! However, you do have to pay at the door before you get to see any of the food so you don t really get the option to say you didn t enjoy it or have a refund, I m not sure I will be coming back here. It wasn t worth the price we paid.
The chicharrón and the birria are the top Food
Went for their weekend buffet! Food was delicious, i know they offer more vegetarian options on their resultat me u but there were a few thing that we could have that were great! Would recommend the chilaquiles!
Very impressed! I never have particularly high expectations for buffets, let alone ethnic ones. As a Mexican, I am also EXTREMELY picky about Mexican food and quite honestly, I am rarely happy with Mexican cuisine in Vancouver, however, I noticed a lot of other Hispanic people waiting in line so I figured it must be decent. I love the variety of dishes similar to what I grew up with. It truly felt like a brunch at my abuela s. The cochinita tacos and chilaquiles were a definite favourite. I don t eat gluten and there was a ton of gluten free options. My boyfriend loved the tres leches cake. For the price, I would say this place is absolutely worth your money and the service is really great too. Smiles all around. Will be back!
I went to their buffet on Saturday morning, they open at 10 I got there at 9.30 am and there was a line up already. When I went inside they charge you at the door which is understandable because it s very busy. The food on the buffet was great! They have lots of variety and lots of pastries! Which all tastes delicious!! They even had ceviche !! I do recommend the place just get there before 10 if you don t want to wait in line
the tacos are unbelievably good, must try Dietary restrictions: Lots of gf options Food : 5/5 |
The food comes out fast and is really delicious. The staff are super nice.
Was very accommodating even though we had a very large family group for the buffet. Friendly and professional staff.
Pretty good food in General but there are some stuff that you have to consider before to try it. 1. Waiting time can be around 90 min or more, since you form on the line until you pay to access. 2. If you go with a couple that can play against you on the line, because They ask all the time for groups of 5. (That happened to us two times this morning when we went there and people who was on the line after us just entered first). 3. I think the price could be way better. Parking: I suggest to pay two hours minimum, cause you could easily get a ticket if you pay less than that Kid-friendliness: Servers are really friendly but is not a Kid friendly place Wheelchair accessibility: There are no ramps and definitely is not friendly with people with mobility limitations.
Nice food great
Delicious, tasty, I love the sopes and tostadas!!! Ill be back Food
it s not good not bad
Everything was delicious, the atmosphere great,
Wasnt given much direction, albeit a buffet, we just looked around awkwardly and left the table for food. Food is just decent, not sure if the $45+tax is warranted. Not sure what to make of the ambience, but more-so confused about the lack of service and pre-payment om arrival. Food
Very tasty, Mexican flavor and excellent price, very filling portions
Super proper quality authentic food
Went for the all you can eat buffet. They have a range of different eats to try. All was delicious. They even had a fruit stand and small baked desserts. So good. The wait time to get in was short.
Went to the brunch buffet with my husband who is vegetarian, we weren t expecting them to have many options for him but the staff at the restaurant were so nice and helpful offering options to accommodate his needs going even out of their way to find a way for him to enjoy the food and his experience at the restaurant. We had a great time and the food was delicious. Eager to visit Toloache again!
Kid-friendliness: Bien Food
Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options Food
Excelent Parking: Parking a few steps ahead Food : 5/5 |
Great place to share Mexican cuisine with friends.
Great place to have Saturday Brunch. Authentic Mexican food! Food
Went here for their ACE buffet and it was really good. However, make sure to arrive early as after 11 am the wait time is 1.5 hours if not more. I waited for around 1 hour and 25 minutes and by the time we got in most of the food was gone including the desserts. They kept refilling the dishes but sometimes it would take awhile, they also ran out of conchas (sweet Mexican bread) and their creamed cheese flan which I was quite disappointed. However their Tres Leches was really really good, with caramelized nuts on top, and fresh fruits. Having said that I would give it 5 starts if they would have refilled the dessert bar with all the desserts they serve for those who arrived at 11 which is honestly just one hour after they open. I really liked that you can pour however much juice or coffee you want. The taste of the food was also very good, everything was very flavourful with the exception of their tamales which I wouldn t eat again, they had a strange after taste. Service was very good too, everybody was very patience and you could genuinely see they wanted you to enjoy your stay and the food you were having.
I just like the name. I have not been there. Toloache? Cheguro? Cómoachi? Buena suerte!
Unfortunately, I didnt like the food, it has no seasoning, what Mexican restaurant do you go to and they give you bottled sauces for tacos al pastor or sopes? Its very expensive for the portions, the only thing passable was the horchata water, that video they send on IG is promoted by a Canadian who doesnt have the slightest idea about real Mexican food. The service is terrible, they are not attentive to customers. I could have gone to cactus club, ordered a cut of meat with mashed potatoes, shrimp and asparagus, eaten more delicious and spent the same.
I m here right now is saying is open till 10 and surprise is close . Not nice u would update the info
Ordered the food at the counter and they brought the food to your table. The burrito bowl was delicious.
Thinking about mexican food, definitely its not worth it. We waited for 20 min to get 3 tacos that were a bit cold and they werentbusy at all. They dont serve salsas. The horchata was tasteless.
Newly opened Mexican Restaurant with great food. The Tacos are outstanding and staff is super friendly and helpful. My recommendations for Tacos: - ALAMBRE RIBEYE - COCHINITA PIBIL - PESCADO FRITO Beautiful presentation with fresh ingredients and prepared in the open kitchen. Really good food, for a fair price. Surprised there is no Franchise of this.
Amazing service. Rodrigo did a great job solving problems. Thanks Food
Visiting from Montreal ~ we were 4 ladies, service and food was outstanding!! Best Mexican food Vegetarian options: Variety of choices to choose from
Alambro Rib Eye Taco and Pastor Taco are highly recommended!
Food was delicious and all the staff are so kind and welcoming! Will definitely be coming back :)
The service is so lovely and the food was yummy and quick!
They food was SO GOOD and they people were so lovely! We had a girls night and it was so fun!
Its a super cool place with very good music to feel like youre in a good Mexican restaurant. The males are super good and I recommend the shepherd. 100% Recommended
The truth is it is a very cool place, the service and music are excellent and they have very good nachos with pastor. The very rich atmosphere! 5/5 Reggaeton 1000/10
If you are in the mood for Mexican food this is s great place to go! Great food and great service, the music and the ambient is very nice but I would go there more for the food. I got some tacos and they were big. There were some other things on the menu that catches my eyes but I was full with 4 tacos. I am going to purge different things next time so I can try different things. Go there with friends on weekend nights, it is a good place to start off your plan is to go out at night.
I was in Vancouver for a week. Went there for lunch 3 times. Good was good, price ok.
Best Pastor in town! The restaurant is very clean and the staff is helpful and very nice, but the real gem is the food, 10/10 tacos and the salsas are very tasty too!
It is incredible that being so far from Mexico the flavor is so similar
Very nice Mexican restaurant. Everything was delicious and the portion was good. We tried the drinks that they had on the stand and both of them were delicious.
Customer service needs to be improved a little and not neglected so much. Parking: It would be excellent if there was an agreement with the parking lots so that they do not charge for parking when consuming at the restaurant.
Excellent service!!
Neat and beautiful
Very mediocre in every way. Had tortilla soup and it was more like tomato sauce than soup
I recieved sombody elses burrito and they recieved mine, however it was okay because we ordered the same one. Tasted good, but i had diarhea after. Not sure if that is related.
I absolutely love the food, very delicious and filling. The burritos will definitely hit the spot. The staff here are very nice and kind. They Always have an uplifting mood. I would highly recommend for anyone who even wants to try they have good happy hour and good selection of beer. I personally am not an IPA Kind of person but I do enjoy the one here. Thank you
The chilaquiles were delicious and the pastor taco was delicious, the tortilla soup 10/10, the portions are quite large
The food was tasty enough, though not fantastic, and did upset my stomach for a day. Although the restaurant wasnt busy, it took a long time to get our food. The restaurant is cafeteria-style, so doesnt really seem like a destination restaurant, which does matter in a downtown location. Overall, meh.
Pretty good.
Not only was the food amazing, but the service was outstanding! I would absolutely recommend. It was a wonderful taste of home while on vacation.
Affordable and amazing! Chicken karrage tacos are the best.
The food is delicious!! We really missed the food from Mexico and without a doubt they have a delicious Mexican seasoning.
Authentic flavour, friendly service...loved the Rose Margarita ! Tacos were tasty. Cant wait for them to serve breakfast too.
Went to get lunch, got 2 tacos, they were really good, great in flavour, portion and price. Tried the Jamaica Lavender, really fresh and not too sweet. The place has a nice, chill vibe; my server Luis was really kind, great service - went with his recommendations and didn t fail to surprise me. Will definitely come back :)
Super awesome staff, great service, food looks as amazing as it tastes. Cozy, big atmosphere as well.
Overall tasty However expected the burrito to be hotter and perhaps less cheese and more beans Reasonable price Yummy guacamole, fresh and flavourful Vegetarian options: Multiple options for vegetarians either vegan chorizo or guacamole instead of meat
Wow these guys have great burritos.
Best food outside Mexico! Definitely I will come back AGAIN!
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Vancouver!
The best in town!
Randomly tried this place for the first time. The Burrito was one of the best I ve ever had will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu. Great Service too!
The service is good but the food is mid nothing really special.. i ordered a bowl and it was kind of dry. For that price point i rather just go to chipotle.
I came in and dined today and tried the Chicken Karage rice bowl which was amazing, also I had some churros that were super yummy. The servers are really nice as well! Definitely recommend! I ll be back soon Food
Fabulous food.
It sucks. Two tables and they still manage to take over 15 minutes to linger before taking your order. Lame.
The service is very good, the place is impeccable and the food is delicious a nice experience to eat here, it feels authentic Mexican.
Outstanding food and an enchanting atmosphere complemented by delightful music. The experience is so engaging that even a trip to the restroom turns into a spontaneous dance. The service is exceptional, evident from our warm welcome upon arrival. We tried the fusion burrito and taco, as well as the sopes with octopus and chorizo. To top it off, we had a delectable and creamy flan for dessert. All incredible! This restaurant is a new gem in the business center of downtown Vancouver. Its owned by the same couple who run Maizal on Main & 12, known for their mouth-watering chicken Flautas. The owners love of food and expertise in the kitchen is evident in every dish they serve. Im already looking forward to returning to this restaurant because of its incredible range of flavours and sensory experiences. I forgot, the prices are fair.
My experience at Toloache was fantastic! The staff took the time to explain all the available food options. I decided on the tuna tostadas, and I can say it was as good as being in Mexico. I highly recommend them! My partner had the octopus & chorizo sopes, and she loved them!! We finished our meal with flan as a dessert, and it was delicious!!! 10/10!!!!
Burrito was excellent!
Today I tried these delicious cochinita pibil, ribeye and pastor tacos and the portion per taco was super good, the incredible flavor of the stews and the flavor of the tortilla reminded me of Mexico. Very good service and very nice place, highly recommended.
The food is very tasty, some delicious tacos, this restaurant really teaches you what Mexican food really is, super attention from the workers and above all a very nice place to spend an afternoon in pure Mexican style in Vancouver !!
Best tacos youll ever have downtown
it is very nice place to eat Taco!
Wow, Mole really taste like Mexico, congrats to the chef! The staff were amazing and the place have such a nice vibe. Recommended!
Greasy and expensive
Delicious homemade food! The size of burrito is more than enough for one person. The best mexican food that I tried until now in Vancouver.
Some of the best Mexican food Ive had out of my home country Mexico! The place is also so beautiful, an amazing spot to hang out in a big group or small. Staff were all very friendly, and very little wait time despite my coming at the busy lunch hour. This is going to be a regular for me
We had a great experience in this place. Food is delicious, we felt we were in Mexico! Great service too. We had chilaquiles, burritos and flan! Clean and spacious place! 100% satisfied
Really cute space! Had the most delicious and best made chicken nachos there. Also loved the frozen margarita, really great for the price because it s strong and one will do it for you trust lol
Clean and immaculate restaurant with good food options. Extremely friendly staff even though we were the last customers of the night. We did not feel rushed and our server was extremely good spirited. Food was flavourful and prepared with love . Food
Best mexican food in town
I ve eaten at most Mexican restaurants in Metro Vancouver, and this was the worst Mexican food I ve ever had. The rice was at least 2 days old, which was obvious because my burrito was 3/4 rice. I m certain they gave me the week s leftovers and wrapped it all in a flour tortilla - I think I got 3 different kinds of meat when I only wanted pork, and only received a few black beans. If I only wanted rice and a flour tortilla, I wouldn t have wasted $17+ tip as I could ve made my own rice at home with a dash of beans and some hot sauce. What a shame as I was looking forward to having a Mexican restaurant close to work. Go the International Food court instead - save money with TacoTime.
The food did not live up to expectations. I visited for their Tuesday special and ordered the Alambre Rib Eye, Pescado Frito, Spicy Chicken Karaage tacos and Nachos. The Alambre Rib Rye tacos were very dry, stale and lacked flavour. The chicken in the Spicy Chicken Karaage tacos were mostly breading, wasn t served hot and lacked flavour. It was clear that they had been sitting out for a while and definitely wasn t fresh. The Pescado Frito tacos were decent but I ve had much better fish tacos at other places (like Tacofino). The nachos weren t anything special and the beans were stale, giving it a weird texture. I did not feel like it was worth $17 at all. They also got one of my friend s orders wrong but we didn t ask them to remake it. Disappointing experience, I likely won t be back.
Best tortilla soup and chilaquiles ever!
We love him!! We ordered tortilla soup, different tacos and tried the fresh waters, everything was truly delicious. Excellent service and attention to . Highly recommended. We love him!! Good not that good and overpriced for what it is. Would rather go to chipotle lol. My favourite part was the Coca Cola
The food is really bad was cold my tacos and the burrito don t have any flavour, the service worst they did a mistake on my order and the concept I didn t like it. Worst Mexican restaurant in downtown
Took the lack of care and food quality personally. Please dont waste your money eating someones sloppy decisions, especially if the food is expensive. Im disappointed someone called this a must-go to Mexican joint. Anyway drinks here are okay
Excellent place to hangout with friends and colleagues, you can eat a bunch of tacos while drink a beer, the nachos are tasty and the service is great.
Excellent service, delicious desserts
Great food, the pastor is very delicious as are the margaritas, the karaoke night was very fun, authentic Mexican flavor
Everything we tried very good, the chicken rice bowl was my favorite, the margaritas are very good , totally recommended,
LOVE IT! Amazing Mexican food. I always go for the cochinita and fish tacos, and the flan is just AMAZING. Also great service and super comfy place. Definitely recommend it. Food
Nice lookin place. 2 stars because I waited 20 mins and they gave me the wrong order which I later found out. Food was mid
Had a very nice breakfast at Tolache yesterday: eggs Ranchero plus an excellent cappuccino. Highly recommended.
Great place and food. The manager was so friendly and gave us a taste of a salsa made with chocolate Food : 5/5
Such great food and staff in a great location. Highly recommended!
Stopped in for the Huevos rancheros breakfast today. It was delicious and excellent coffee. Highly recommended.
The colors and music were great, and the washroom was very clean. The food was good, although I think the chips should have been on a separate plate from the salsas so as to keep them dry. The Jamaica (hibiscus drink) is excellent and authentic.
Very good service, food, drinks... but I really loved Karaoke nights!!
I love Maizal RMF on Main St, so when I saw that the same people also had a restaurant downtown, I had to try. The specifics of the menu are different from Maizal but its the same sort of offerings. I got the green vegetarian chorizo bowl, the horchata cardamom, and finished with the cream cheese flan. I wasnt sure what to expect with the vegetarian meat, but I really enjoyed the texture - I think it was soy chunks or some similar simple vegan protein instead of a fancy meat substitute, which is great since thats what I prefer. The green sauce was really flavourful but different from the usual tomatillo-based salsa verde and everything in the bowl tasted so fresh! The horchata with cardamom is a great combination. It was thoughtful of them to ask if I wanted it with or without ice. Finally, the cream cheese flan was a decadent finisher. It was so delicious but I wouldn t order it again unless I have someone to share with because it was rich and big. Give them a try if you like Mexican food! This visit was about a month ago and I was surprised to see the place was so quiet. Maybe things have picked up by now, but they definitely deserve more business!
Really good place to meet with your friends and eat good tacos
I really loved this place, I got there by some random events, and it was such a surprise. Great location in the middle of everything in downtown. Food is great and portions are just about the right size. The Nachos are big, also recommended. Price is on the average.
A super nice place and the attention of the owners is incredible, close and friendly. All the staff were very nice and made you feel like you were among friends. Go try and support other Latinos businesses, this way we will make our community stronger and stronger
Great value for money! Seriously, you should come hungry and be prepared to share - meals are amazingly large. Impossible to finish on your own - I made a concerted effort but..... Also, very authentic Mexican, right down to the corn chips that Im pretty sure are made in house. The only thing I didnt enjoy was the noise level of the music - this is more a group venue than for couples or solo. Vegetarian options: From memory many dishes were vegetarian with the option to add meat - if you are vegetation you wont be limited
Loved it!! Very excited about this place
Just had a beer My friends order food. It looked good Food
Tasty, but pricey for the amount of food...
