At Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill, our expert chefs aim to elevate each and every dish by combining culinary elements from across the globe. Whether trying Nepalese, Indo-Chinese, or Western cuisine, we aim to provide you a new experience with each visit.
This place was packed on a random Monday night at 8pm, the food is good to do family-style so it’s best to eat with multiple people so you can have variety. We got mild-medium spicy level and it was a good amount of heat and everything was delicious and very savoury. Will definitely come back again to try other things.
Found this Nepalese restaurant out of nowhere. They provide some warm soup as a welcome drink. We tried their momos and thali set which exceeded our expectations. The chilli chicken Momo was warm, meduim spicy with good size. Also, they provide 10 pieces of Momo and came with two different sauce. The red spicy sauce was a hit which could go with anything like rice and lentils too. Talking about thali set, there were 6/7 varieties in the thali starting from rice to naan. The butter naan was soft, hot and was melting in the mouth . If you are ever in Vancouver and want to try authentic Nepalese food , do visit this restaurant and get a chance to get served by Nepalese fellow with warm welcome and beautiful smile…
Service was ok but the food was great! Large portions came out quickly and hot. We ordered mild Lamb Korma Curry and Goat Biryani with a Sweet Lassi yogurt drink. The korma was a bit too spicy for us, but both dishes were delicious and had leftovers to take home.
The music adds to the vibe and you feel as if you are sitting in a cozy Nepali restaurant. The staff was simple but friendly and efficient. It didn’t take too long for the food to get to the table. The chai was amazing and full of aroma from cardamom and ginger. Paneer butter masala had perfect gravy and generous pieces of paneer. The momos were one of the best I had in Vancouver. The quality and quantity was worth the price which is very decent compared to their competition. The chef knows his stuff well and the food is very fresh. I would definitely recommend when visiting downtown or around the area. Places like this is when you feel your tip was worth it.
Im a regular at Mt Everest. Their food feels like home. The only place I can order blindly and be sure to be served the best food ever. I guess, I’ve tried everything on the menu that has chicken in it. My top choice is tandoori momos, chicken thupka and biryani. And everything is fairly priced. I love their complimentary soups too.
It’s a gem in downtown to enjoy large portions of delicious south asian cuisine. They provide a complimentary soup that is different to each other. I liked the corn soup. We loved their tandoori thali, that comes with fish pakora, tandoori chicken, rice, butter naan, dhal curry, salad and a dessert. Two naans can be finely shared by 3 people with a curry. Mixed Veg Pakora as an appetizer is tasty and a great starter. I have tried lamb and prawn curries so far that goes well with Garlic Naan and rice. We always take the leftovers home as the portions are really huge. I never miss their Ras Malai whenever I visit that comes two portions.
I had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant, especially with their incredible fish pakora and chicken chow mein, which were absolutely delicious. We also tried the biryani; it was a bit oily but still tasty and satisfying. The menu offers a great variety of Indian dishes along with some excellent Nepalese options, perfect for anyone craving flavors from Nepal. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for family dinners or catching up with friends. If you’re in the mood for some authentic South Asian cuisine, this place definitely won't disappoint. Highly recommended for its vibrant flavors.
Decent Experience, But Lacks Authenticity I recently visited a Nepali restaurant and tried their momo and thukpa. The overall taste was average, with the tandoori momo standing out as the best dish I tried. Unfortunately, the thukpa was disappointing—it lacked authenticity and was made with spaghetti instead of proper noodles, which took away from the dish. On a positive note, the service was friendly, and the staff were attentive. While it’s an okay place to visit, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for truly authentic Nepali flavors.
Unsponsored Review: Complete 5 stars. Best Nepalese food in the city. Must orders are mutton Shekuwa, momos and chowmein. A must try place in Vancouver!
5. Momos were good but not sure we ordered the best food. May be worth trying again
Food was amazing as was the service. We started with the highly recommended tandoori momo (dumplings). They were hot and served with a nice sauce. We also ordered the Kukhura Ko Masu (chicken curry), tandoori chicken which came with mint chutney, raita (yogurt sauce), and tandoori roti. Everything was hot and delicious.
You guys used to spaghetti in thukpa this is not a authentic nepali thukpa test is so bad.
I used to be a regular customer in this restaurant I used to order jhol momo, but one day on weather demand me and my friend order Nepali thali and thukpa but I miss the authentic Nepali vibes in the food that we order in thukpa they use spaghetti instead of regular noodles and when it comes to thali presentation, it was too worst they serve naan instead of giving papad and in curry I feel like they serve butter chicken.
Amazing food Must recommend there thukpa Absolutely a traditional taste Food : 5/5
Been here twice and literally every single item I have tasted is so delicious. Amazing customer service by the staff as well. Would def. visit again .
WOW!!!! This place is amazing great food great service felt like eating no in my mums kitchen
We ordered veg Manchurian and veg chow-mien ,Crispy Manchurian reminded me taste of India. Also, chow mien was enough alluring ,must visit ,if you are looking to satisfy your Indian food carvings in Vancouver.
A friend recommended Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill, and I m so glad they did I ll be thinking about this meal for a long time. The tandoori momos were the most unique dumplings I ve ever had, and the Samosa Chaat is the only way I want to eat samosas from now on. The thalis were generously portioned, and every bite was incredible. I wish I could try everything on the menu!
nice food, best service by sunita liked it
It says its a Nepalese restaurant, but it has a lot of overlap with Indian food (curry, tandoori chicken, lassi, etc.). The food was plentiful and delicious, but the hall was very busy, so it took a long time to call the staff to order and pay. In a similar vein, it was inconvenient not to receive services such as water refills because the staff did not come during the meal.
The nicest people. Amazing food.
Loved it! Great momo. Proud of you guys. Yestai unnati pragati wako dekhna pau
Although the place does not attract attention, the food is very good and plentiful. We tried the Thali, momos and mango lassi and everything was delicious. On a second day we repeated and tried the Butter chicken, 100% recommended.
Was here to try some authentic cuisine, however, after providing a table and menu, they abandoned the table. Nobody came back for about 20-30 minutes to even take the order or inform about delay for whatsoever reasons. If the restaurant had less staff, they should inform the customer rather than just keeping them on the table. Not recommending or visiting ever. Such a poor service wasn t expected.
My friend being a Nepali compelled me to accompany her for trying momo. We visited here but nobody attended us and left us on the table for 30 minutes and did not even take the order or came to attend us. We left the place after waiting as this was not expected as a customer. If anyone is keen to try momo, opt for other places as this place has zero customer service.
Extremely disappointing service
We tried their steamed chicken momos, chicken chowmein and vegetable Manchurian. Amazing food and the spice level (personal preference is spicy) did not disappoint.
The flavors are authentic and well-balanced, showcasing a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. Whether you re trying their curries, freshly baked naan, or grilled specialties, each dish is crafted with care and packed with flavor. The portion sizes are impressive, making it a great value for money. It s a perfect spot for anyone craving satisfying and flavorful meals!
Awesome food everytime and there portions are also quite generous
Great tasting food. Good service. Our server Renu was very sweet and knowledgeable. She made sure to get our food customized to our taste. We will be back for sure and highly recommend it to others to try this place.
The portions humongous
Delicious food, super friendly service and fare prices! I will go back soon.
Awasome testy food
The food is good and the price is reasonable Curry is delicious Naan highly recommends
The food was very tasty, but I strongly suspect they are using lots of MSGs to improve the flavour. I have been to lots of restaurants and almost never had any adverse reactions, but this place was an exception. After the meal, I feel very thirsty, heart palpitation, and dizziness, etc. I also experience slight diarrhea. I visited this restaurant two or three times and same things happened every time, and I became certain that the discomfort I experienced was caused by this restaurants food, instead of other factors. My symptoms were consistent with MSG allergy, but most restaurants never caused any troubles to me, so I guess this place uses a huge amount of MSG. The staff were not especially friendly, but not too rude either.
Loved the food. Spicy dishes werent that spicy, though. Loved the tandoori chicken.
Food was served hot and quantity was very good Vegetarian options: I tried veg thali was worth the price Food : 5/5 |
Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill is a hidden gem! The food is fantastic, with a perfect balance of spices that keeps you coming back for more. I especially appreciated the service from Rojin, who not only brought our drinks but also helped charge my phone. His pleasant demeanor made our visit even more enjoyable. He was attentive and welcoming! Overall; a wonderful dining experience.
We decided on this Mubar restaurant on the spur of the moment. We ordered chicken buns and pancakes, which were beyond our expectations. The other dish, shrimp, was less special, but I really want to go back and try other dishes.
Staff is extremely polite.. They offered a complimentary brocoli soup till I waited for the takeaway.. this felt so warm and welcoming.. just like back home.. ambience was positive with nice aura filled with customers. Excellent customer service..
Everything was good except food.
The service and the atmosphere was pleasant but the food was not worth it. Totally disappointed Food
The atmosphere was good service was good but the food was not worth it.. In simple way I can say Everything was good except food. Food : 1/5
I have visited for the first time and order veg thali khana set it was very much disaster Very bad experience.
Very tasty food. Pleasantly surprised.
Such authentic nepalese food, blend of spices were so remarkably served in such a flavourful way. Also the amazing customer service was super pleasurable, everyone was so polite and sweet towards customers. Overall superb place to go and get a taste of nepalese food. I highly recommend this restaurant, definitely coming back. If I could rate more than just 5 i genuinely would. I am from Nepal and the food here tastes like what you would eat in nepal. Truly soo nostalgic
Everything about this place is amazing, the food, the service, the portion size and pricing :) Amazing indo nepalese food, authentic butter chicken (unlike the unreasonably priced, tomato sauced version of butter chicken that is commonly found in Vancouver in the name of Indian food -.-) and kebabs! The tandoori chicken and thali is also awesome. Would definitely recommend for authentic indo nepalese food :)
Good jhol momo
Awesome food, great value, friendly service!
I dont get it why people are giving them high ratings. Last night, we had butter chicken and their tandoori veg momos. Both were bad. Sorry to say, but they didnt taste authentic, or maybe I had better tasting food in the metro vancouver area than this place. Had very high expectations from the reviews people left here, but the food wasnt delicious at all!!! Never going back to them.
Food was great, staff were polite helpful the store is a bit of a hole in the wall but who cares the momos are fantastic
The best Nepalese Momos in all of Vancouver! Love love love their food, takes me back to eating amazing Nepalese food in Kolkata! Love their Mixed Fried Rice specifically and Chilli Chicken
Came here twice in a week which is unheard of! Can t recommend this place enough. Excellent, delicious, and hot Nepalese style cuisine which pleases everyone, including my mom who is a picky home cook. Complimentary soup is lovely. Great service as well. They are quick to rectify any issue, and took my meal off the bill for a small issue that they dealt with promptly already. Bathroom is not so nice though unfortunately. I recommend the lunch thali options and any of the tandoori items in particular. Looking forward to trying their other specialties like the momos.
**Review of Mount Everest Restaurant** (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mount Everest Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! Nestled in a cozy location with stunning views, the restaurant excels in creating an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and adventurous. **Ambiance:** The decor pays homage to the Himalayan mountains, with beautiful artwork, soft lighting, and comfortable seating. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. **Service:** From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured we felt taken care of throughout our meal. It s evident that customer service is a priority at Mount Everest. **Food:** The menu features a diverse selection of Nepalese and Indian cuisine, which is a delightful treat for the palate. We started with the momos (dumplings), which were perfectly steamed and packed with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the chicken tikka masala, and it was one of the best I ve ever tasted. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portion sizes were generous. My dining companion ordered the vegetarian thali, which was equally impressive, showcasing a variety of dishes that were both colorful and delicious. **Desserts:** We couldn t resist trying the traditional kulfi for dessert, and it did not disappoint! The creamy texture and rich flavors were the perfect ending to our meal. **Overall Experience:** Mount Everest Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. I can t wait to return and try more dishes from their extensive menu. If you re looking for authentic Himalayan flavors and a memorable dining experience, look no further than Mount Everest Restaurant!
It was a go to place nowadays for my gang, the foods are so original tasting like we had back in India. This is the best restaurant for trying south Asian cuisine. Service was good too. Dawa was our server, she did an excellent service for us. Thanks to her above and beyond attitude.
Super duper tasty food. Service is so good .serveurs are very friendly. One of my favorite restaurant ever.
I had dinner at Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill, and it was fantastic! The Mount Everest Special Salad was fresh and flavorful, and the Chicken Sekuwa was perfectly spiced and tender. Cozy ambiance and great service Ill definitely be back! #ContestEntry Food
So nice good services
True to its name this place serves authentic Nepali cuisine. Felt like home. Great place to dine.
The customer service was great, cheerful waiters but If you guys are thinking of trying authentic Nepali food please don t go here, they serve Indian food in the name of Nepali cuisine.
Delicious food at good prices
Best value dining in Canada. Huge portions, fantastic flavours and great variety. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the chili momos were delicious! Good wine too. Super authentic, great value, big portions - what more could you want?
Excellent, filling delicious jhol momo. I havent had better jhol momos even in Nepal. Great friendly staff.
Best Food ever I ate in Vancouver, we tried tandoori momo and chicken biryani and both dishes were delicious. Must try this place!!
Good food but the service is terrible, basically non existent.
I have been here twice and the food here ? Momo doesn t taste good at all , chowmein is really good but they really have to make their Other food better, all the Nepali food doesn t taste authentic at all
We are glad we found this little gem while in Vancouver. The food was good with plenty of selection. We ordered mild, but it was still pretty spicy. They were really busy, and we had to remind our server about part of our order. All in all, it was a good meal and we would visit again.
I live the food here. Its also fresh and delicious. Very affordable. Want good South Asian food, then eat here.
The food was really amazing and the servers were really nice and sweet! Highly recommended
Food was ok, but nothing special. The garlic naan was great, though. Service was mediocre, they forgot about one dish and we kept waiting and waiting until we let them knew.
Incredible filling food, it was honestly so good The momos were great Food : 5/5
Great food. Great prices. Great service.
I walk by this place all the time, hadnt had a chance to come in. So glad I did! Im a huge momo fan, and their deep-fried momos are seriously next-level. Service is great, decent drink prices. All orders even come with a complimentary soup! Only tried one dish so far, cant wait to try more items next time (the momo plate is actually quite filling!)
Mixed experience. My guest really liked his dish, me less so mine. I think there is a way to find another better address. I didnt rediscover the taste of Delhi or Bangalore, too bad I really wanted it. Good service.
Awasom food, I just randomly explored this restaurant but the food specially the veg thali was more than enough in quality and quantity.
I really like this place. At lunch time, full. I was twice already and food always good. Highly recommended
Awesome ! Huge plates, good food and cheap prices. If you want to try nepalese traditional food, it s the place to be !
We ordered tandoori momos, chowmein and chicken tandoor. Chowmein was ok but rest all was just mediocre at best. The waitress was impatient and there was confusion about an order which was not dealt very well by staff. Tables too small and get too cramped once food arrives.
The deep fried momos was a disappointment, no authentic sauces available!!
The food was really great here. The staff very friendly and nice. Monika and Rojin were really great.
Very good food
Really one of the great restaurants to visit if you visit Vancouver. Monica served us well and she was really great and friendly with us. It has a great atmosphere inside if you want to try authentic Nepal cuisine you should visit there
$17 lunch platter. Felt fuller than having a buffet. Need to come back again as I will save one dinner.
So my buddy and I went to this Nepali restaurant for lunch. We started with this aloo nimki thing as an appetizer, then had kadhai paneer and naan for the main course. We ended with cheesecake for dessert. We also tried momos, but they werent that great compared to the other dishes. Everything was delicious, especially the aloo nimki. Oh, and the soup they gave us for free was also really good. But the service sucked. The servers were nice to everyone except us. It was like they were being racist against their own people or something.
The taste was good, but i feel like the menu is limited, the staff was nice and very kind, I like the place
Food tastes good and different. They serve complimentary soup, but the girl offered that when our food was on the table. They forgot to bring the salad and i have to ask for it after waiting for a few minutes. Im still giving five stars because i like it overall and hope that I will get good service when we are back here.
The staff are so dang nice, like exceptionally so. The prawn curry and palk paneer was bonkers. Best of all, theyll make it very spicy if you like that sort of thing. Restaurants is clean and has a nice vibe. Ive eaten there once and done takeout 3 more times. Will visit again.
The nann food was great.
This place was jammin for a Sunday night so we were excited to try it. The food was very flavorful but the chatpate was way too salty. Like inedibly salty. The broccoli soup (and cauliflower soup) was better than the Momo but not as good as the saffron shrimp. The Momo was unimpressive really but it may just be me since our waitress advised it was the most popular dish. Our waitress, while pleasant enough, was a little impatient and cared more about moving us to the end of the meal than she did about making us comfortable in a very loud place. The place itself was very utilitarian, offering minimal separation between groups of guests. I was nearly shouting across the table to have a conversation, as was everyone else. Then every third dish that came out was smoking on a red hot iron skillet plate, causing a confusing smelling haze of spices and seared vegetables.
Nice little cozy restaurant @ waterfront. Worth your money. Loved the dishes (chicken sekuwa, pasta, chicken chow mein, prawn chili)
This is our go to place, not fancy but cozy enough.Service is always good and the complimentary soups they serve are always amazing. Must try dishes- Chilli momos, steam momos, veg Manchurian and chowmein! Food
Yes, it was okay, you know!
Very good & delicious food! Enough for everyone :) We can recommend the Butter Chicken and lunch menu #4 Food : 5/5
Excellent and exceptional customer service. Update: Quality dropping with time. Ordered Kathmandu Chatpate (well-made) with samosa and cold coffee today. Terrible coffee (bitter-watery) and even more terrible samasa (no salt & stale multi-fried).
Delcious, well priced and great service! Nothing too fancy but cozy little spot in downtown Vancouver. I m new to the city and very happy I ran into this gem! Highly recommend :)
Go to place as a nepali for food and drinks! Try Dharane Aalu Nimki and Chicken Jhol Momo!
A lovely spot for momos of multiple varieties, many veggie options in the overall menu. Tandoori momos was very unique
We have visited this place multiple times and it never disappoints. Great variety of indo-chinese delicacies, portions sizes are huge and the pricing is on point. Theu even offer a starter size complimentary bowl of soup. Lots of seating available, and even when the dining room is full, the waiting time from placing an order to getting food on the table is very reasonable. Great job management and tbe team !!
We had the best dinner. And Monika was the best for her service. Thank you.
The Chicken Thali is a sleeper hit here and the Chilli Momo was the best I have had in days..service was stellar too, a must-visit for any Momo lover !! next time I m here we devouring that Chow Mein.
I stopped by for lunch today, my third visit, and again was impressed! As during my previous visits, I had a dish from the lunch menu, which was super tasty, very healthy, under $20, and easily could have fed two people! I highly recommend this gem of a low key downtown Vancouver restaurant!
I went over there multiple times in my stay in Vancouver and it was never a disappointment. The food was amazing, especially for the price. Fully recommended Dietary restrictions: Dary free options!
Fantastic
Came here seeing the good reviews. They certainly deliver. Very friendly staff. Food is awesome. IPA they have is better than most pubs Ive been. Definitely recommended.
Soooooo delicious!!!
Great Nepalese restaurant that is reasonably priced and the food is delicious. The staff is helpful explaining the dishes. Must try one of the Momo dumping dishes. We had the Chili Chicken Momo.
This place is so dang good. Ive never had cauliflower soup this good before. To be fair I think this was the first time I ever had cauliflower soup, but I was surprised at how good it was
Good sized servings. Good service. Average flavor.
The food is amazing, and quality food with a great price point.
A nice place for a large variety of cuisines. I wouldnt recommend the chili lamb momo as the meat didnt have much flavor and most of the dumplings had fallen apart. It also took quite a long time to arrive. The grilled tandoori chicken was quite good though, and the naan was delicious as well. The free cauliflower soup was also tasty.
Delicious food Good customer service : Our server was very kind and friendly Food : 5/5
Cant wait to try more of the menu. :)
The food is amazing, chilli chicken momos is a must have here. The staff and service is amazing. The only draw back is the temperature here, it is very hot inside every time I visited this place
Vegetarian options: We ordered: veg thukpa (spicy) and chilli momos. Chilli momos were good but veg thukpa was excellent. It really took me home with the authenticity. Food : 4/5
Awesome food is halal
The lamb tikka masala was absolutely divine. Tender lamb with a masala sauce that was among the best I ve ever tasted. Great service in a basic no-frills environment that is both welcoming and casual. Excellent choice for a delicious dinner.
I would not recommend eating here. I might ve just gotten unlucky with a bad experience, but the food was not very good. Now, I really enjoy Indian food, but I can t eat spicy food. It usually isn t a problem for me if I just ask for everything to be mild, which is what I did here, but the food all came out so spicy that I could barely eat any of it. The meat Samosa was the best thing that I had, and also the most mild, but it was still the spiciest I ve ever had. The other dish I got, I think it was curry over rice, was so spicy as to be inedible. If you like spicy food, this won t be a problem. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also terrible. They had music blaring over a very cheap Soundsystem, with the bass turned all the way up. If you re someone who s sensitive to sound, do not enter this restaurant. By the time I finished my small meal and got out of there, I had a pounding headache. And they were only about three tables with people at them because I went so late, so the ridiculous volume level of the music was absolutely overpowering. I couldn t even hear the servers when they came to take my order (when they finally came. I was mostly ignored and had to flag people down for every little thing.) and I had to shout and ask them to repeat themselves multiple times. There is way better food, and a way better dining experience, to be had in Vancouver, don t waste your time here.
The chilli momos are good. But the last couple of times they have been giving us little to no meat with our chow mein. Prawn chow main had 3 prawns and cost $18 on door dash and same with beef chow mein. A whole lot of noodles. Come on guys do better
Momos, Paneer tikka, noodles are amazing and the overall menu is tasty
Huge portions of delicious food!! Quick service!
Great food. Our part of 4 (including our 10 and 12 yo boys that have never had anything like this before) had a few different curries (veggie, prawn and fish), some naan and the tandoori wings. It was way more than we could eat, but we are excited for leftovers. I wish I lived closer than a 37 hour drive!
Great!
Mpunt Everest retaurant in Vancouver offers a wonderfully friendly atmosphere with attentive and welcoming staff. The food is outstanding, with a variety of authentic Nepalese dishes that are full of flavor and generously portioned. The cozy ambiance makes it a perfect spot for a satisfying meal. I highly recommend it for its superb service and delicious food!
Very delicious food
This place is great. The prices are good and the food is delicious. I got the Beef and vegetable entree and I would get it again. Give it a try!
Perfect restaurant for good indo Chinese and nepali food Must try their jhol momos and chawmein Food : 5/5
The chili momo is a must try! The mixed drinks werent good, but didnt expect much for that price.
I had the prawn curry. It was delicious! The place gets super busy, so at times it was a slight challenge to get the servers attention, but the overall experience was great.
Been to this place for lunch few times. Nice ambience and the food is excellent. Always there s left over food which I have to take it home, due to huge quantity. Nice staff and keep up with the good work . Always worth the $$$ Food is tasty and delicious
The food is so good and the price is very reasonable. The place was busy when we went, so we ordered take out. The plain naan and garlic naans were so good
Great service and amazing food
Repeat customer, Feels like home !
Nice food Vegetarian options: Nice food Parking: Less spots are available
Two visits- I tried Chinese and Momos and both were average. Manchurian were good. Quantity is good. I did not like the fried rice as it was too sticky.
If you are looking to find something subcontinental in BC, this is somewhere you want to be.
If you care about quantity but not quality, this place is ok. Everything is fried. We ordered chilly paneer, came fried and so hard from outside, that ir was difficult to chew. Same with momos. No garnishing on chilly paneer. Taste was also so so. An OK place.
Great for indo-chinese dishes especially Momos
So I ordered the tikka masala and a garlic and onion naan to go. It came with a side of rice. Unfortunately I did not recieve any utensils or napkins in my bag so I ate the naan by hand. It was quiet as I came at 11am and one table was being waited with one house staff so i grabbed my bag and left. The food was delicious. There were chunks of marinated chicken, vegetables, and spices, you can even see whole chilli peppers in the photo. The container was filled to the lid so I knew I was going to get fed. The onion naan was loaded with onion, herbs, and spices to the point where I just let it fall into the sauce for added complexity. For $25 this definitely filled me up. The food was great, but the spice level... lets talk about that. Im no stranger to spicy food, but as a white guy I know my limitations. I ordered this in a medium as it was my first time eating here and I wasnt sure what their definition of hot was. This was definitely on the hott++ side. My eyes were watering by the end and my tongue has lost all sensation 30 minutes later. My stomach is screaming at me Why would you do this! So I know I will pay for it later. Honestly there were no regrets, I forgot to ask for cutlery before I left so that was on my part. I dont think I could have comfortably enjoyed my food had it been any spicier. The masala was earthy, creamy, and I could taste individual spices and vegetables at times. It wasnt some ground up slurry with butter+milk. The whole chillis were probably a bit over the top, but I ate them anyways cause mama didnt raise no fool. It was delicious nonetheless and I highly recommend. Would almost give 5 stars.
Food was tasty but bit spicy hot.
Came from Toronto and tried Nepali restaurant here. Definitely recommend this if you are craving for nepali and indian dishes.
Food was super good! Briyani is served in a huge portion.
Incredible food at a great price with friendly service. I had the chicken sekuwa. It was new to me and very good. Garlic naan is heaven on earth.
Happy place, good customer service with excellent food. Best in Vancouver Downtown
The food here was so good! I was expecting a lot, but it exceeded my expectations. It had pleasant atmosphere and very friendly serving staff as well. Highly recommended.
Amazing food and service. The momos were delicious.
Its not fine dining but the food is outstanding and value for money .. tasty authentic food in large portions.. we were a big group and tried many items across the menu and none of them disappointed.. Vegetarian options: Lots of options.. Kid-friendliness: Relaxed atmosphere
Tasty food, very large portion sizes (1 dish can be easily shared by 2 people). Given the size of the portions, price is very reasonable.
One of the best Indian style Chinese food. Nice and spicy and quick service Food
Best
It was nice. Food was good.
Probably the most authentic and delicious Nepali food in Metro Vancouver. The staff are always so courteous and kind. My go to place when I miss food from home. Vegetarian options: Veggie Chow Mein, Veggie Momo, Kathmandu Chatpate, Dharane Aloo Nimki, Paneer curries etc. Dietary restrictions: Meat here is Halal and they have loads of Vegetarian and Vegan options
Very good and very generous, excellent welcome!
Yummy and fast food. Indo-Chinese cuisine with lots of options.
The best Indian Resto in Vancouver for me, Amazing service and the portions are a lot . Very affordable too
Love the complementary soup and lots of vegetarian items too. Very warm and homely vibes even tho i m indian
Best by far. Absolutely amazing food. The service was great but I can t say enough about the food. Highly recommended if you are a tourist.
Pabi was wonderful and the food was awesome its been a while hand never had such amazing Nepalis food
Loved the portion sizes. Great value for money given the location.
Bad customer service it s not once or twice but more than that every time I go there employees either ignore or give late service showing their lack of interest in serving us. They be talking nicely to other customers but show attitude to us and not even smile even when we are being polite or talking nicely to them. One time also they made me stand for more than 10 mins but let other customers sit who came after me and my last straw with them was when they made us sit in the corner near kitchen where it was too hot. Also, I visited with my friend as it was her first time dining there and she was feeling cold and we talked to 3 servers about that but no one changed our seat and didn t even care about that. That day they literally just crossed the line. The only suggestion I have is that a restaurant is not only based on food but also customer service no one wants to eat in a place where they don t feel welcome. I hope they will improve their customer service. They should learn customer service from other Nepali restaurants.
A gem. Very chill place. Busy. You see people know its good. Food felt authentic. Being Bhutanese, I really couldnt say if its authentic Nepalese food, but I can testify it pleased my Nepalate.
