The name may be a bit confusing at first, because I didnt find a moose, neither on the wall nor on the counter. Maybe I didnt look too closely, it was my first evening in Vancouver after a loooong flight. After 40 hours, every long-haired rocker next to you at the bar probably looks like a moose. So when, after a few minutes in the minibar at the hotel, I looked for a place with a typical Canadian atmosphere, I quickly chose the Moose. If you want to get to know a city, you should visit a bar shortly before it closes. The later the evening, the more original the guests. And especially if you choose a bar with a Pacific Northwest flair. And everything worked out. The woman was quickly talking to the long-haired rockers, or was it the other way around...and the service was just great...unfortunately I cant remember the name. Regardless, it was great, even though I cant remember how I got back to the hotel, but I was complete and unharmed. And isnt that what its really all about when you go to a strange restaurant alone in a strange city?

One of the only bars in Vancouver with any character. I ve been in plenty of places that have put a lot of thought into cultivating the kind of vibe that this place just exudes without a second thought. Cheap beers too.

This is the place if youre looking for a real rock and metal music bar. Amazing vibe, quite nice music selection, there is a jukebox too. Dont expect anything fancy on the menu but the quality of the food and drinks is really good. Friendly service, nice staff. Overall, I spent a very nice time, and for sure will be visiting again. The best was the music, real hard rock, heavy metal and classics. 100% recommend

Been wanting to try this place since moving to Van, place is smaller than expected, but the laid back feel of a neighbourhood pub is amazing, definitely hard to come by in downtown Van, little slice of home I guess To give you a better impression of what to expect; cook was out front at the bar area playing nerf gun with a couple of the customers :D Taste 1/1* Ordered the bacon cheese burger, juicy, well balanced, and plenty of lettuce, one of the best pub burgers I ve had Onion rings were nicely seasoned and crispy Value 0.5/1* Decently priced menu, though having no happy hour was a little bit of a let down, especially when everywhere else has $4 beer for HH, and they had their in-house ar $5.50 For the $2 onion ring upgrade, 10 onion rings feel a bit skimpy Service 1/1* Standard neighbourhood pub style, quick, on point, and friendly Cleanliness 1/1* Aside from the normal wear and tear on the seating and table, I d say it s above average when it comes to cleanliness of a pub Overall/Revisit 1/1* Would definitely revisit whenever I m homesick, or just feeling like having a good burger Paying for Reno? 0/-1* No Above and beyond? 0/+1* No

Alright place to go. Pretty cool rock n roll atmosphere. Theres a bunch of hanging bras behind the bar which is really cringy, mostly because they look store bought rather than some party girls leaving them behind. Food looked ok, there wasnt much option for vegans.

This place scream dive from the street. That s why we went in. It was great and the staff inside were friendly and even were having fun at work. I will go here again when I come back to Vancouver.

The Moose rocks alot of history of rocknroll and metal at this establishment with all the photos on the wall of famous celebrities who have visited there,and still do,if you have never been there,get there,,and the food rocks too

Bartender got upset about tip, coerced the drunkest person to tip more. I watched the bartender tap the drunk persons card on the machine.

Fun place, decent atmosphere. Food was surprisingly good!

Loved it. We went there after going to a fancy dinner out and werent full with small portions. Some chicken tenders, fries, beers, a couple of cocktails and Top Gun on the TV later we were happy and had a blast.

We discovered this bar by chance. Fast service and unbeatable value for money. The atmosphere is great and the dishes delicious. There are many drinks, for all tastes! Rock fans I recommend this place!

The cocktails are good. Prices are reasonable. Service is good. The space is a bit cramped up and the music can be a bit too loud.

Always friendly and speedy service and they have the best nachos when all you want is standard, tasty nachos that arent pretentious. I appreciate that they always let me have an entire table or booth to myself even though its just me. Great specials all week mean its always a good day to go to The Moose! Cheers!

So good - Australians visiting the most metal bar ever and they chuck on random Australian punk while were there. Good vibes, great drinks selections - maybe a couple more vegan options on menu? But doesnt remove the 5 stars! So good - amazing place, guys!!

Rock and roll bar. Really good food.

Perfect eclectic dive bar with lots of stuff to look at, great atmosphere, good beer, excellent service. Would love to go again. The late night eats menus was reasonably priced at $12.50 for everything including wings, nachos, etc. Wings were solid and came with a delicious blue cheese dip. My wife and I got a plate of wings and a craft beer for about $40 total before tip, which was an excellent deal.

A must visit. Loud rock music, fun atmosphere and most importantly, incredible staff!! If I cant get a stop in at the Moose then my Vancouver trip isnt complete.

Love this place. Its become a tradition that every time Im in Van for a show I pop by for at least a PB&J, and usually a burger too. Food is great, drinks are great, prices are unreal, and I always feel surrounded by the best people.

Great spot for a drink, decent music and pub grub. Waitress was excellent and kept the beer flowing - a proper pub.

Needs improvement. I think its time the bras get removed from the ceiling as they really dont do much for the ambience other then collect dust and make the place look trashy. The food was affordable but all our wings where cold. It would have been a more pleasant experience if we didnt need to leave to go somewhere else to use the bathroom as Ive seen cleaner public bathrooms in gas stations. I get they are going for a certain look but dingy and dirty isnt exactly welcoming for a pub/restaurant.

I think the bra on the wall is really silly to be honest (but I am sure some people find it funny and amusing) small place and too dark for me Food was good though and decently priced though, but I think I will give this place as a pass as the atmosphere is not really my thing.....but if you are into the rock n roll thing, then this place will do

Been going to the Moose a long time, kind of a tradition to visit before and/or after a show at any of the venues along Granville. I love the music they play, food is cheap & the drinks arent too expensive either.

There may be likes and dislikes depending on the person. For us, it was so-so. However, we visited the pub because we really wanted hot wings. It was a bit noisy and quite dark. However, I think it would be okay for those who like this kind of atmosphere. Hot wings taste not bad~

The bartender was rude, and the waitress got our order wrong but the food was good.

Stopped in for 1. Sat at the bar, not busy. Made eye contact with both girls behind the taps. Theyre chatting away....time goes by. They putter around and keep chatting. I left. Im all for a chill environment, but lets focus on the service too, ladies.
