One of the best ramen I have ever ate. I took the spicy miso ramen, the flavor was good, spicy but in level you can continue to eat. I recommend to take an ice cream at the end
We went to grab dinner at BEEST on a Wednesday evening and it was half full. There were too many options for soup ramen so we chose what was available, the tomato broth and the garlic. They had 4 separate page menus and it added a lot of clutter to the table as we thought it was the same menu. Once we ordered, the food came within 5 minutes. The tomato broth one tasted a bit like watered-down spaghetti sauce and the garlic one was super garlicky. The ramen was ok and the portion was good for one person. The roasted beef was good addition but the white thing on top wasn’t very good. The yuzu drink was very refreshing. We didn’t really like the fact that our waiter presented us with the check as soon as we finished eating. It felt like they required a quick turnover when the restaurant was only half full. Overall, just an ok experience. I think I would prefer the traditional ramen with its pork broth rather than these flavoured ones. Good that they had refillable hot chili oil and fried garlic at the table.
We ordered shoyu Ramen, spicy miso ramen, smoked beef mazemen, and chicken karaage, and everything was beyond our expectations. Food was yum; Restaurant itself was clean with beautiful interior design. I would definitely recommend to try their fry garlic flakes (on table, free), so fresh.
You can even become a member and get free extra noodles and ice cream Got a nice vegan ramen from here ! I couldn’t even tell it was vegan. Packed with flavor and personality. Restaurant has good vibes, option for bar and table seating. Great with friends for lunch or dinner~
Came by to try this restaurant as my sister loves beef and wanted to take her later if it was good. Sadly I have a crustacean allergy (shrimp, crab, lobster etc) and was glad I asked about it. Turns out most dishes have shrimp in it (it's in the beef tallow for more punchy flavour) and can't be removed from the mazemen. Instantly I can't eat half the menu, so I opt for the black garlic ramen. I am typically ok with a little cross contamination and was prepared for if there was a lot (there is). I think with the limitations of my allergies the cooks had to omit a fair amount of what gives their dishes big punchy flavor (the tallow). The ramen noodles were nice and bouncy, and the fact they have a slew of condiments available for free on the tables (a lot of places now charge for fried garlic chips for example) was great. The beef really shines in these dishes. Sadly for me, the broth wasn't nearly as flavourful and there wasn't too much garlic in the dish compared to other chains (but easily remedied by the garlic condement but I could have gotten the regular ramen and done that). The pickled onions were a great texture and added brightness to the dish but there was very little of it so felt a but overwhelmingly one note after I finished. Honestly this is likely due to my food allergies and many other customers were very happy with their food. They have a nice points program as well, so if you go sign up since it's free and you get stuff like more noodles, ice cream and the like. Long story short, if you have a crustacean/shellfish allergy, give this place a pass. I had mistakenly thought a beef noodle place would be safe for me to eat everything on the menu. Otherwise if you can eat it, go for it! Please enjoy what I cannot.
Fruit fly! Don’t use onion sauce until they change the container! I’m visiting Vancouver and my friends took me to one of their favourite, BEEST. I was impressed with my mazemen at first, tasted great with the balanced flavour added by the buttery tallow, garlic, and onion sauce! However, right as I was about to finish I found a fruit fly soaked in sauce on a piece of garlic flake. My stomach dropped. It took a moment until it all made sense. The onion sauce was sweet sugary, and a bit acid. It was in a small container with no sealed closings. And you know how apple cider vinegars can be used as a fruit fly trap? I believe the way the onion sauce is store on the table, and the sweet acidic nature of the onion sauce causes exactly that! The server was nice enough to offer a discount and ice cream. But I would recommend staying away from the onion sauce until the container is fixed. It is unsanitary and a fly trap.
I believe this restaurant is fairly new and unknown. I was the only guest during dinner time whereas there was a huge line for ramen danbo. Their roast beef ramen concept was interesting and good, however, the flavor didn’t convince me enough to give 5 stars. Noodles reminded me a little bit of wonton noodle soup rather than those yummy soaky ramen noodles. The service deserved more than 5 stars and the restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and new. Please go and try it yourself! ☺️☺️🍜 Food: 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambience: 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Total: 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They were pretty skimpy on the beef. Also, they asked me to sign up for the rewards and said I would get a free ice cream and extra noodles right away for doing so. I said yes to ice cream and the server said I could have both but by the end of the meal was expecting it yet they never brought it out or said anything about it not being available so when I asked about the ice cream at the end (which I actually really wanted) the same server who asked me to sign up then said they didn’t actually have any tonight but could get it next time I come in… yea as if that’s going to happen after this first experience 🙄 like are you lying or really don’t have any ice cream - but then why not even mention this change the whole time??! The fact that they don’t even do anything to try to make up for this oversight was just very poor service in my view.. didn’t even tell me until I had to ask about the ice cream when I asked for the bill. Why suggest it in the first place yet not even tell me if they realized they didn’t have any? - it also does not look like they added any extra noodles. This is the Creamy Truffle for $29.8 below… it’s not even the price that I care about it’s that they literally asked me to sign up for the rewards saying I would get ice cream but then not even bring it or tell me they don’t have any… like? Seemed callous by not communicating this change at any point in consideration to the customer. Nor was it clear if they added the extra noodles. It’s not even about the extra noodles it’s just the very poor service in consideration of the customer based on what you communicate to them. I was literally the only one at the restaurant tonight as the fireworks were going on so not sure why the customer service was so bad as to offer ice cream and extra noodles and then not do so or require the customer to ask you about it at the end when no ice cream, in fact, was brought out or mentioned thereafter. Also, pretty sure I saw a mouse run across the floor Edited for update: response to this review from this establishment was complete useless - sure you need to train your staff better but how does that remedy my experience what did you offer me that actually makes a difference to me - you essentially stole from me not just monetarily but also in terms of time and energy by not giving me the full value / experience that you would offer other customers the response is not a resolution in my view.
I had the standard size portion of roast beef. They give you a larger portion of noodles if you give them your number. The beef itself was tasty, but the sauce they used for the noodles wasnt really my thing. It was ok. Looks great if you like taking pics of your food.
#mazemen with lots of #beef always #delicious and #HeartyEats on a cold night #authentic flavors #downtownvancouver quaint #LateNightEats
Best Noodle!!!!! The first bite makes you feel like in heaven Love, love it!!!!
Quintessential Vancouver ramen. It was alright.
First time try this Raman fusion restaurant and it was right decision! New fav at Robson for me.
Black garlic ramen was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned, filling, and for a great price. Vegetarian options: Available
The taste was average, and for a regular $19 CAD bowl of ramen, it only came with four slices of beef, which were comparable in quality to sliced beef from Save-On-Foods. Additionally, they didn t ask if I wanted the complimentary ice cream after the meal. Of course, I m not a regular customer, so I can understand.
Delicious, highly recommended
Delicious
This place was fantastic! Great Ramen and the service was superb!
Creamy mazemen is the best!!
We passed by and came in to try this new Beest Ramen in BC. We ordered shoyu Ramen, and spicy miso ramen, and everything was beyond our expectations. Food was yum; Restaurant was clean interior design looks cool. We will definitely come back! (forgot to take picture)
Delicious beef ramen and noodles. You can also get it all with wagyu. Very friendly service and easygoing atmosphere
Unconventional stuff, not exactly normal ramen. The beef is solid in flavor but I suppose Im not entirely convinced that roast beef and ramen go together. Truffle dry noodles were tasty. Chive mochi was an interesting treat.
late evening visit The boss is kind. I tried spicy ramen. It was delicious. Its high in sodium and has a strong seasoning flavor, but is a bit pricey. The kitchen is open and clean. The signature menu here is mixed stir-fried ramen.
Tried their deluxe mazemen and I like their garlic chips!
like the free garlic. compared to other ramen places, they give you a lot of meat. the noodle was perfect.
Glad vancouver has a spot for japanese beef noodles! Its an unusual treat that we are lucky to have locally!
Had the truffle beef noodle, delicious. Easy walk past the cool shops strip from where I stayed on Granville St. Nice vibe and smiley service. Food
I had an amazing time eating here at BEEST. The food was so good and the beef was unreal. I definitely would recommend checking this spot out. I will be back again !
The reviews seem misleading, as they offer ice cream in exchange for them. The noodle i ordered was dry and overly salty. It felt like the beef used in the ramen had been repurposed for making the broth, leaving it extremely dry and unappealing.
Delightful and delicious everytime Ive been. I reccomend this place to everyone and would argue theyve got the best noodles in Vancouver
My sister and I have been coming to Beest since its soft opening and every time, we have a pleasant experience :) The serving size is quite good and the mazemen is amazing with very unique flavours. They ve recently introduced onion sauce as well which pairs really well with the roast beef. Watty and Soomin gave our family excellent service. 10/10 would recommend!! We will definitely be back!
So Good.
I loved their shoyu ramen and the happy hour there is good.
Great experience in this restaurant where the whole team is at the top and friendly with the customers. I really loved these dishes which are excellent.
First time here. Friendly staff to explain the menu. The ramen was super fragrant. Broth is full of beef flavour without the brine taste that s usually in ramen.
Amazing food and service. Always happy to eat here!
Food was really yummy!!! And it was very quick for the food to come. The soup was really flavourful and beef was the perfect texture.
The food was great, the service is very friendly and gave us a second upgrade and the shop looks very nice.
I ordered the Shoyu Mazemen. The flavor and texture of the noodles mixed with Shoyu tasted great, and there was a healthy portion of roast beef on top. I wouldve liked to see a larger portion of noodles as I had ordered the upgrade. The soup provided was a bit salty and they ran out of ice cream today. Service from staff was amazing, very polite and fast service, and the ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice.
Full of garlic. Too rich for me. If your stomach is strong, that s okay. But not, I would avoid this place in a heart beat
Overrated:( Beef slices were not what I expected. They are kinda dry. The noodles doesn t have much flavour and it tastes like a bowl of noodles with soy sauce and sesame oil.
Ive been to this place a couple of times now because I love roast beef. However, the ramen noodle can be inconsistent. The last time I went, it was very chewy and bland (I got shoyu ramen). I liked the atmosphere though, nice little restaurant. Service was quick.
We had spicy miso and black garlic ramen. Both broth were bland and very fatty at the same time. We had to add more garlic chips and sweet sauce to add some flavour.
Great restaurant with really good service and very good food. The service was very courteous and pleasant. The taste of the frames was a 10! Price/performance fits here. My absolute recommendation.
Delicious food and great service! The best, most authentic Ramen!
Best mazamen in town!
Mazemen is great, beef is tender and moist. Rice bowls are delicious too! Would recommend
Vegetarian options: Delicious vegan options Food
Excellent ramen with spicy
Honestly, my fav place to eat when I m in Vancouver. Everything is ten out of ten.
Absolutely incredible !! I m in love with the vegan ramen
Amazing Ramen. Just great all around. Everyone should go here.
Their Ramen was amazing!! Roast beef was tender
This was my first time trying dry ramen. Quite flavourful. Meat was tender. Overall, it tasted better than I expected, although I m still more of a soupy ramen person. A must try if you like dry ramen or haven t had it before.
If you enjoy tasty ramen on a cold night, this is the place to visit. The broth and noodles were just as delicious as the roast beef. Everything was cooked fresh (you can see the entire kitchen) and tasted as such. The restaurant (despite being small) is tasteful, elegant, and clean inside. The only reason I knocked off one star is because: Its a small location and there are very few tables. There is a very high chance that you will end up waiting outside in a line until a table frees up. This being the case, the staff tries to turn around tables very quickly. Prepare to eat and leave in a hurry. I would avoid coming here if you want a long, peaceful date night dinner. That being said, I would definitely visit this restaurant any time Im in town.
Really enjoyed the mazemen here. It s a good combination of flavours and not a very common style of ramen you can get which is nice. The noodles were bouncy, sauced, and very flavourful and the roast beef was tender. It was nice to have many slices of roast beef (even at the base price) compared to one chashu in a traditional bowl of tonkotsu ramen. A bonus is that the space is designed nicely so it was very pleasant eating in. Service was great as well!
First time I tried beef ramen. Nice change of flavour compared to pork based ramens. Very tasty broth. Noodles were great. Great ramen. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Place was clean .
Great food. The staff was so helpful
I ve been coming back at least once a week. They ve expanded their menu with some really great choices, such as Creamy Tomato Beef ramen. So good!
Sublime ramen one of the top in the city for sure. Worth a shot
Very good
Absolutely amazing food. I had the black garlic shio and it was probably the best ramen I ve ever had. I m from Courtenay and this blows our ramen shop out of the water! Service was fantastic; our waiter was eager to help us with recommendations and made us feel very much looked after. He even got us a couple free ice cream cones when we told him it was our first time. Amazing experience will definitely come by again next time we re in Vancouver! Can t say enough great thing!
Food
I got Creamy Mazemen and that was so good. I ll definitely come back !
Creamy truffle one is amazing
The ramen was decent enough. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. If you sign up to their rewards program you can get a free ice cream with your ramen. Vegetarian options: I believe they have beyond meat for Ramen toppings Wheelchair accessibility: It s on street level, should be easy enough to access in a wheel chair
Great value for their Beef Rice Side. $5 only. Try it. Food
Very delicious ramen and rice bowl appetizer, I ll definitely be coming back
I ordered the truffle creamy mazemen and it was amazing. The other side dishes like karaage and chive mochi was also good. Severs were very nice and the ambiance is chill
Amazing service y all.
Food is great, maybe slightly overpriced for soup (prob due to their rent), definitely worth checking out. Recommend the spicy ramen!
Good beef and ramen, fist time having dry Ramen. Must try the soup as well.
Really good beef ramen. The meat was delicious. It was also super nice that they close late, we could have dinner while avoiding usual dinner rush. Service was also super fast. I recommend.
Based on a lot of good reviews plus the photos of the noodle bowl look unique compared to other places, so I decided to try it out at lunch! Went there on a rainy day around 1pm, no line up, only a few tables were occupied. I got my seat quickly and the waitress was friendly and welcoming. I got informed right away about signing up for the loyalty program which I will receive an upsize 200g noodles (+$1 on the menu) and a free small soft serve. I signed up and got the benefits. Some reviews say shio mazemen is plain so I decided to go for shoyu mazemen. Opposite to noodle soup, mazemen is a bowl of dry noodles with roasted beef on top. It came with a small bowl of soup. It tasted like beef broth but I was unsure. The soup was light but had a light layer of oil on top. In the beginning I thought it was for the noodle, like two-ways eat the noodle bowl, but the waitress told me it was for drinking. The noodles came hot, they were chewy and flavourful, but the big taste differences made the roasted beef plain and tasteless. The roasted beef was tender but was at room temperature, they came with the right amount of thickness. Coming to the end, the noodle was quite salty and greasy. I ended up adding some soup to dilute it. In my opinion, the taste and the temperature made it unbalanced. It also came with additional garlic chips which you can add with your own desire. The price is reasonable for the portion of noodles and the pieces of beef. Also free ice cream at the end :) Overall, I would come back to try out types/flavours such as ramen and maybe shio.
ROAST BEEF RAMEN - spicy miso ramen = $21.80 - - shoyu ramen = $19.80 - Roast beef in ramen is definitely a combination I have never considered before, but it kinda works? Beest offers a selection of ramen and mazemen (dipping noodles) with a variety of toppings and broths. If you order off of their special menu, they even offer truffle and uni Ive been to Beest twice now and I feel like its an acquired taste. On my first visit, I ordered the mazemen and I felt like the chewier texture of the roast beef didnt pair well with the noodles. When I ordered it with the spicy miso ramen, it was better! I think having the beef submerged in their rich miso broth helped add more flavour to the meat and softened it also. I think Im just too used to a traditional bowl of ramen with the fatty chasiu...
So Ive been to Beest twice. The first time I messed up and put the soup into the noodles and it tasted bland. I then found out Im not supposed to put the soup in the noodles so the next time I went there, I didnt add the soup and I must say it was VERY good! Im now craving Beest beef ramen, and will be coming back with family next week. I also love how they give you ice cream after the meal. The staff was super friendly too! I highly recommend Beest for a casual night out. Update March 2024: After visiting Beest Mazemen at least half a dozen times, I can confidently say that the quality of the food has consistently been top-notch. Out of the various mazesoba places in Vancouver, Beest stands out as the best in terms of quality and service. As part of their VIP program (which is free to join), we receive extra noodles, beef, and ice cream at no extra charge. Its honestly a fantastic and affordable date option!
We got both dry noodles and in soup. Heavy and a bit oily if you re not expecting for that. Nice option of becoming member to get free ice cream
Food was actually good we both loved it, i got the truffle noodles was very tasty , the pieces of meat my food had was too small and nothing, like wasnt worth the price , very thin i was surprised but the tastes was good , on the other side the other food was good and had more slices of meat in it which makes more sense, picture may not show it as it was but substantially the truffle noodle almost had no meat ,i will go back to try it again as the taste was good, unfortunately our server wasn t welcoming neither the other lady working there looked so sharp and fast and happy and helped our table too even tho our waitress was someone else , she wouldn t even bring an extra plate to share the appies we got and when i asked for plate she was surprised people share appies together the may not want to eat in one plate all together, appi was soo good too! Taste in general was great thanks to chef, cozy place to walk in to and have tasty food, portion was normal towards small than big , worth trying it
This restaurant was amazing. Every dish I tried was great!
Great beef ramen. Love the food
We came on a Thursday at 11:45am. I ordered the shio mazemen. We got the smallest portion and I felt like it was just enough. The beef I felt like could have been more tender and more flavourful. It was a bit too chewy for me. The noodles were just cooked to al dente. I liked that there were garlic chips at the table for you to add and also Chilli oil. The garlic chips could have been crisper. Felt like the whole thing was a bit dry as the beef was dry and so were the noodles. The noodles come with a side bowl of soup for you to drink Overall for the price and location I think its an okay option but it wouldnt be my number one option for Ramen. If you are looking for something different then its worth a try
Surprised other reviews stated there was a lack of flavor or the portion was too small.. I, on the other hand, had a fantastic experience. The flavors were unique and delicious! I did upsize to 6oz due to reviews, but 3oz would have been enough. They give you a complimentary soup, tasted like beef broth, which tasted incredible! I got the Shoyu BEEST and definitely recommend it! Nice and friendly service. Ill 100% be back for more!
A rich and decadent bowl of ramen. Great for people who dont like or eat pork. Note, this is a dry ramen, they give you the broth on the side to drink. So its a like bowl of noodles with ramen toppings. They do also have a classic ramen option, but most of the menu is the dry ramen style. Still really good and tasty.
I am a soup lover but somehow I really like their mazemen here. After trying it for the first time I went back two more times within a month So far I tried the shio and parmesan. I really like shio with the garlic and green onion. The sauce is tasty and just the right amount to give the flavor. The side beef soup that comes with the noodles is also very good. Not salty and I would drink the whole thing. I havent tried the ramen but maybe one day! Also you get free ice cream and noodles upgrade when you become a member! The servers are all very nice there and so far my experience has been pleasant. Vegetarian options: Impossible beest
waitress with brown hair sounds like she doesnt want to be here food isnt anything crazy literally pancit canton with roast beef Food : 1/5
Food was great!
I loved this place, its small, but the food is delicious, the service is very good, everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend it
Absolutely delicious food. The servers were so nice and friendly answering our questions and giving us tips on what to order. We got the dry ramen and the miso ramen and both were outstanding. Some of the best ramen weve both ever had. Definitely go here if youre thinking about it. I cant wait to come back.
The food was clean and delicious.
I love coming to Beest! The food comes fast, I never have to wait for a seat, and the staff are always kind and friendly. I love bringing friends here when theyre visiting from out of town.
The owner was kind and enthusiastic. The food was delicious, and the ice cream was rich yet refreshing. Even my grumpy dad was happy at the end of the night! Quite possibly the best restaurant experience I ve ever had.
Expensive and the meat was cold when served
The ramen was good! Would definitely come again. We ordered the Shiyo Ramen bowl and the mazemen beef bowl. The Mazemen is a dry ramen with a soup on the side. I quite enjoyed the bowl and the beef was incredibly juicy. It didn t make the 5 star list because there wasn t anything too spectacular about the taste and the music is non stop rap and trap, which might appeal to the crowd but it gets a little repetitive after a while. Overall would eat here again!
The spicy miso was yummy! The broth was great, the noodles were good and the meat was nice and tender
I did not get the concept of dry ramen. Anyways I tasted the dry noodles the spicy one and taste was good. But the membership thing felt like a gimmick, I took the membership and my friend did not and I did not feel like there was any extra noodles in my bowl. Whatever it is , the membership is free and the portion size (with membership) is good. Definitely does not match extra noodles in danbo. Overall good taste.
Went here for the first time as we had just noticed it on the way to horin ramen the other day. I was surprised at how big it was inside and it is very nicely furnished with a spectacular bonsai tree. The ramen was pretty good and the twist of the beef instead of chasu was a nice twist. Their bamboo shoots also seemed to be marinated in the beef as they had a delicious beefy flavor. The beer was a bit expensive ($9 for Sapporo) and the ramen had wagyu options which we did not elect for. I would say this is a nice place to try but isnt as good as horin or Danbo and some of the other top places downtown for the price.
Great ramen for a reasonable price and a really nice atmosphere and decor.
First time to try Beest earlier and we definitely had a blast! Wanted to go for their surf and turf ramen but sadly their uni wasnt available so I ended up getting their Black Garlic Ramen. I enjoyed it still nonetheless! We also got their Shoyu Ramen, Wafu Beef Don, and Chicken Karaage. All were delish! I still have yet to try their special surf and turf ramen so I will definitely be back!
Awesome staff who were helpful and pleasant. Delightful Ambience and prompt service Will definitely go there again.
Checked this out the other day and it was an okay experience. Portions are small and meals are overpriced, even by today s price standards. Interior decor is nice and trendy, but space is quite cramped. Menu s are a tad confusing and the service is bad. The only thing higher than the price is the levels of apathy from the servers. Despite being empty when we got there, service was slow. We weren t even offered their complimentary ice cream at the end of our meal either. I would only suggest this place if you re in the mood to spend your paycheck on their truffle wagyu uni ramen. Other than that, you can do better at other ramen joints with way better value.
Omg soooooo good. Everything was perfect. Cant wait to go back.
Honest review: The roast beef was very delicious and it comes with a side of beef soup with it (different from the shoyu soup and tasted a bit like instant gamjatang but it was pretty good). The noodles that came with it were a bit thick and tough. The shoyu ramen had thin noodles and the soup was light and good. Unfortunately the meat in the soup overcooked the beef a bit so it wasn t as good as the one in the roast beef dish. You also get free ice cream for joining their membership. Overall pretty good and would go back for the roast beef.
Awesome ramen and great service will be back again.
I really enjoyed the food here! You can select the portion size, I had the truffle with sea urchin and beef special! So amazing! Service was great too
Sweet ramen, with ice cream after.
Tasty. Despite including Ramen on their shop name BEEST specializes in Mazemen which is broth less ramen (no soup). Their dishes are tasty tho. We got the Shio Mazemen and Shoyu ramen. The Mazemen was great. Beef was tender and nicely marinated. The ramen was good. My wife enjoyed it, saying the broth was the perfect blend of flavor and salt. Portions were small so we both left hungry after the meal. I cant give too high of a rating for the atmosphere because it felt too pretentious for my liking. It looks like a group of rich Gen Zrs got together for a Ramen shop idea and designed the interior based on their lifestyle. tldr; great food. pretentious decor.
The food was amazing. You can sign up for a membership for free ice cream and extra noodles.
Went here with a bunch of friends, we all loved our meal. The Spicy Miso Ramen was excellent, it had a great balanced flavor and spice level, and the roast beef was done really nicely. It was some of the best meat I ve had on ramen despite the fact that I don t usually like roast beef all that much. I d say the true rating is closer to a 4.5/5 and that if there was a little more value it would be 5, but I d recommend this place to anyone easily.
The restaurant decoration style is exquisite, making dining feel comfortable and pleasant The roast beef slices are soft, tender and delicious, without the greasiness of barbecued pork. The beef soup is very fragrant. Butter thin noodles are my favorite ramen noodles. Men will not be full after a normal bowl of noodles, so three of my family All men pay for extra noodles! The portion of soup is also very small, remember that there will be an extra price if you add soup! The service staff forgot to tell us that we need to register on the official website first to enjoy free 200 grams of extra noodles and free ice cream I m not very happy that I didn t get any ice cream! The friendly service to tourists needs to be strengthened!
I have been here twice and I enjoy their unique ramen menu. As someone who likes beef more than chicken and pork, this is the perfect ramen spot. It is on the pricier end and there are plenty of pricy add-ons but it s well worth it because you get ice cream after providing your phone number to them.
Omg I became a fan of your beef and noodles now!! Everything is great in there no kidding even the price! Thank you!
Delicious dishes, very friendly and efficient service, they serve you a delicious meat toy, good prices, very good portions, accompanied by golden filleted garlic.
I have very little experience with ramen restaurants, however this one inspired me to I go in. I m grateful that the waitress was patient with me, not understanding the ramen principles. lol I liked their food, meat was really good.
The server explained the dry ramen (no liquid), but the taste of the roast beef and ramen had no flavor. Service was friendly and quick, but I was not impressed at all with the meal.
Hands down the best! Service is quick and food was really good. One of my favourites with Danbo Food : 5/5
Delicious roast beef dry ramen with side beef soup! Roast beef were so fresh and they will cut in front of you(if you seat in the counter)Amazing experience my friends ordered their ramen, portion of noodles was big we can t finished . Soup was good Food
It s always a pleasure to eat here! I love it!
Had lunch at Beest Ramen for the first time not too long ago. Food was fantastic. Meat they give is delicious and hearty. Will be back for sure. Food
The food was overpriced for what we ended up getting. The appetizers were tiny but a lot. The ramen was really bland? It was really unseasoned and it felt so flavorless. The noodles were okay, the meat was okay. I don t think worth the hype for their broth ramen
Its different and not bad, but I am not sure its better than my favorite soup based ramen in town.
A new way to taste ramen, the smoked beef is the bomb. Id recommend with miso since it is packed full of flavour. Parking: Parking was hard to find around Robson, Id recommend to park at Alberni Street.
The beef in this noodle joint is sliced so thin, it practically melts in your mouth! Totally worth it!
Couldnt find a better beef noodle spot in Vancouver! Fresh ingredients make every bite a delight
A must-try in Vancouver! Fresh beef, budget-friendly, and the real deal. Cant stop thinking about it!
We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, it s different type of ramen but tasty
Portions for the regular Shoyu Beest without any add-ons was kinda small. Nothing too special about the noodles in particular, but it was a good meal.
quite excellent
The shoyu beest was delicious. The host was friendly. I loved the restaurant.
Just kinda mid, limited food selection too. Expensive for the quality.
Delicious ramen especially when you put the dried garlic in! But my credit card didn t register this place as a restaurant so I missed out on points. I recommend to try and sit at the table with the tree it s very nice.
Excelent find. You will not be disappointed. The quantity was perfect, the flavors were there and the service was very good too. We ordered the Parmesan base one, highly recommended.
Came to try with friend, both food poisoned. Ramen broth was greasier than we expected and came lukewarm with almost raw beef. Got bad diarrhea even before we got the bill! Was urged to leave to sit new customers when there was still space.
Im a ramen enthusiast, and thisplace exceeded my expectations. The beef ramen here is top-notch. The broth hadlayers of flavor, and the beef slices were so tender they practically melted in my mouth. Its a must-visit for any ramen lover!
Ive been searching for the perfect beef ramen, and I finally found it here. The noodles had a great texture, and the beef was incredibly tender. The presentation was beautiful, and the staff were attentive. Ill be a regular at this ramen spot for sure
The beef ramen at this restaurant is a true masterpiece. The broth was so rich and savory, and the beef was cookedto perfection. The service was also outstanding, making it an all-around fantastic dining experience.
Food: The food is good! Thick cut and a bit bouncy noodle, savory and spicy sauce, a lot of meat and perfect when pair with an onsen egg. Decent price for a place in Vancouver and you will get extra noodle and free ice cream every time if you make a membership. Service: Service is good and the employee was really understanding. Atmosphere: Not a big place but good decoration. You will not heard a lot of noice from the street.
Beef noodles are so delicious and rich in flavor
Lovely welcoming staff. Very tasty ramen which was also nicely presented!
Tender beef and beef broth oh god
It s a super beefy ramen restaurant. If people love beef and ramen, they should come and try their beef ramen here. Broth has a very strong beef flavour. Ramen is chewy. The portion of beef is decent. I would recommend adding more noodles as the standard one might not be enough for someone who eats a lot. I gave my phone number to the restaurant; so I could collect points. I got free upgrade of 200g noodles and a free icecream at the end of the meal. Loves them all!! I wouldn t mention what I ate or ordered. You can see them on the attached photos. It s hard to find parking in downtown. Highly recommended to take public transit to get here.
If you are allergic to shellfish thier broth contains it...unfortunately they do not have shellfish free broth therefore I took away a star. Hubby enjoyed his
I had an incredible dining experience at this beef ramen restaurant! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the beef was tender and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a great spot for a comforting meal.
cant believe you can get such amazing beef noodles at this price! Every bite is super satisfaction. A must-try in dt van, Fresh beef, budget-friendly, and the real deal, I enjoy their free ice cream in the end. Cant stop thinking about it!
Ramen is nice. I like how chewy the noodles are. I think there is enough food without upgrade but if you are comfortable giving your phone number, its possible to upgrade for free.
tried their signature beef ramen. the meat was tender and juicy, and i do love japanese street style curly noodles, but i think they did not accompany this broth. was quite shocked by the $10 uni - two pieces of pinky-sized portions. the free ice cream cone u get for signing up for membership makes up for the $20 price for a bowl of noodles.
Yum, generous meat on my noodles! I love the customer service, they assist you with their menu options and they offer loyalty programs + ice cream!
One of the most unique and modern ramen places in Vancouver. BEEST is a really delicous and unique take on ramen. Their roast beef were delicious and noodles were flavourful. I had their Ramen the first time I came and their Mazemen the second time. Their ramen was served with a super fragrent roast beef broth, it was aromatic and smooth, with most of its flavors coming from the roasted beef fat. The Mazemen had a lot more options with customizability. You get to choose your portions aswell as the dressing for the noodless. The flavors were all exposion bombs and paired really well with the roast beef and fried garlic chips. Atmosphere was really cozy and the staff were friendly. The only real con to this place was the portion sizes, by default I would say the noodle portions is not enough for a meal, you could order more portions for the Mazemen and Ramen but at extra charge.
Amazing ramen and great customer service !
Been here as a weekly routine. Staffs are friendly and food is awesome! Can t wait to grow my account and get more rewards!
I tried beef ramen. It was delicious.
The broth and ramen are of authentic flavor. The soup is rich but not salty. The beef is tender. The inside is clean and contemporary. Sitting is spacious compared to a typical ramen place. We also got the free ice cream by signing up the free membership !
Certainly one of the best ramen places in Vancouver, matching up to the ramen I had in Japan. I ordered the spicy miso ramen. The broth is rich, the noodles have a nice texture, and the roast beef is tender. Great choice of music in the restaurant as well. If you give them your phone number for the membership, you will get free ice cream every time you go.
The roast beef on top of the ramen was delicious but some pieces had too much pepper on it. Ramen was the perfect thickness. I was really disappointed by the rice. The ramen restaurant looks like a premium ramen place and the rice was average. Better quality rice should be used. Service was not really good. At the end of the dinner, the server came with the bill without even asking if we wanted something else.
A lot of hype at this place so gave it a try and it lived up to it. Beef soup ramen instead of pork, and it really brought the flavour. Noodle was chewy and delicious. Not complaining about the beef, but I do think pork belly is better. Also had the spicy miso, thats like the kokoro mazesoba, but the roast beef was amazing with it. The don was also really good. Joined the membership and just by joining theres free ice cream each time and extra noodle, does increase the value.
Recommend the new truffle cream! fragrant
Honestly one of noodles places on the west end, also nice not to be just a ramen place Vegetarian options: They have impossible beef
It is good for being a roast beef ramen, the service is great and fast, the place is very nice.
Food was alright. It s exactly what it says on the tin, ramen but made with beef bones and roast beef instead of pork. Got the Beef ramen.
Amazing beef ramen, great atmosphere, and quick, kind service. Would definitely recommend!
The most over priced restaurant with roast beef you can get anywhere put on top of ramen noodles. Definitely not coming back, and the menu isnt transparent with the pricing.
It s ramen, adding this adding that at the end it s about 30$ because the portion is not enough. I guess the price is set based on the location not the actual food anymore
We went for lunch just right before the crowd arrived. Glad we didnt have to wait in line. We both ordered the smoky miso beest and both enjoyed it. I ordered the max upgrade for beef with bamboo, poached egg and chopped Wasabi. The flavour of the smoky miso was really good. Just enough kick for the spiciness. The service was good and the server continuously gave us a new jug of water when we were running low on water. Next time, I will try the Wagyu and some other side dishes.
Amazing food, quick service and great atmosphere. I got the creamy truffle surf and turf, perfect amount of truffle, the side soup/drink was also amazing.
First time having beef ramen and it s so tasty! Had the spicy miso beef ramen and the flavours were bursting and beef slices were generous (vs the usual 2 slices of pork at ramen places). Really enjoyed the meal. The place was modern, clean and service was prompt and attentive. Would recommend!
This was my first time in this restaurant. I had mazemen the aged parmesan cheese, shoyu ramen and chicken karaage. Noodle in Mazemen was a bit hard for me but the taste was good. Shoyu ramen was great. I love beef on both dishes. Don t forget to sign up for a free ice cream cone!!!
Went on a Sunday at around 7pm. The restaurant was nearly full but luckily we didnt have to wait. Food: Ordered a shoyu ramen and a shio ramen. The ramen came with complimentary beef soup that I found a bit too greasy. The shio ramen was a bit too plain compared to the shoyu one. The shoyu ramen was rich and delicious. There were free condiments on the table (chili oil, black pepper, white vinegar, fried garlic pieces) for us to customize our ramen. The beef amount was generous. Service: Slightly below average but still acceptable. Servers did not bother to collect our empty dishes after we were done. Our servers attitude was also quite poor and mean. Atmosphere: The decor looks high class. However, the tables and chairs were wobbly and that slightly affected my dining experience. ***There is a free membership program which gives customers complimentary ice cream and free noodle size upgrade. However, everyone at the table has to join the program in order to receive the complimentary items. The restaurant staff also sounded quite mean when she mentioned that.
Ramen was decent but not surprising. Services were only acceptable. For me, I felt its a little bit overpriced.
A good experience. Tried some new dishes Id never had before. The chicken Karaage was so good.
Exellent Ramen. Host was great at explaining the menu and the difference.
I am very impressed with Beest. They only serve roast beef with different flavors of noodles and the beef is very high quality and the noodles are fresh and chewy. The only thing I wish was different was the beef was served cold, I just wish it was warm. I got the creamy Parmesan base with truffle and it was so good! The service also was very excellent
Good portion but the price could be a bit better
