Cactus has become an oiled machine to get you in and out efficiently. The beer selection is small, the food is boring. This location has great view which makes it more bearable

I made a reservation in advance and was shown a spot with a nice view. I visited during happy hour and was able to eat relatively cheaply. And this is already my 5th visit, and the staff wasnt that friendly except once.

I normally love Cactus Club as its a consistant and quality meal. I wanted to try the new 14oz rib eye and it was so bad, absolutely not remotely worth the price at $64. The cut was very fatty, but not good fat, more like inedible fat. I ordered rare, and it was more blue rare, zero crust and cold inside, no rendering of the fat or any internal flavour. The cut somehow lacked any cap, which is always the best part of a ribeye. It was just a very low-end grocery store cut of meat, not at all tender or flavourful. It was covered with their burgundy peppercorn sauce, which was watery and completely lacked flavour or depth. I didnt send it back because there was never a guest quality check-in, and I was with my family. Service was pretty bad. Id have at least asked for some salt to flavour my steak if the server had come back to chek in. And we were there for a birthday dinner, yet zero offer of dessert, coffee or anything else. Side was just green beans, which were good but kind of weird to just have a bunch of beans and fries. My familys meals were all good, hence the 3 stars. Had I been alone, it would have been 1 or 2.

6 or 6.5. Tuna poke bowl is great and healthy. Red curry is also really good but maybe double chicken since there s not enough. Worth coming if around the convention center for sure

Food was very good as was the service! Definitely recommend reservation. We came by on a Sunday night with one, and it was packed. There did seem to be a line available for walk-ins. I got the spaghetti portofino and my husband got the tuna poke bowl. The Portofino was one of our favorite dishes we had in all of our Vancouver stay.

Best in everything - food, ambience and service. One of the best sushi (vegetarian) we had. Their menu is truly international. Eclectic and delightful place to have great culinary experience.

I went to this restaurant and my review was deleted earlier as well, this is a restaurant for people with white and pretty privilege. The server was racist and you re looked down if you re from any other ethnicity. Server brought the drinks first and then asked for the ID. She only asked for one person s ID in a group of 5 people. This is rude. If you want to see the ID you should request it from everyone on the table to avoid any awkward situation. She looks too young, I would need her ID, everyone else is fine quoted the server. When we asked why it wasn t asked from everyone else on the table, she bluntly took the drinks back. We got up and left and she and other management had no remorse on their face. Servers are rude and think they can get away with anything because people will keep coming to this restaurant no matter what. If you delete this review now, then you know you re guilty. 0 stars for your ambience and your atmosphere

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our dinner, the food was amazing and the service was wonderful! We will definitely go again the next time we are in Vancouver.

I celebrated my bday here. All day long since 1 PM was calling to the restaurant to make an adjustemt on my reservation otherwise, they will be charging fees to my credit card as the policy indicates I have until 2 hrs before the reservation to make the adjustements. No lying I call more than 20 times, they put me in the waiting line for more than 1 hour, so I coul never talk with someone from the staff. The service at the restaunrant was good, however, as the restaurant were so busy, the waiter never come back again to asks us about if we need something or if the food was good. I ordered the sushi salmon and the steak and fries and everyhting was sadly cold. :(

Annual late lunch/early dinner with my 5 other buddies....who use to work in the hospitality business together. The food was great as usual and all the staff was very attentive and pleasant. Cactus Club Cafe Coal Harbour is the perfect spot for great food and stunning waterfront views. The atmosphere is lively, and the service is always excellent. Super nice vibes and service :) probably my fav cactus club to go to in the city. It s a big location and we didn t need a reservation for 3 people when we went on a Friday night @ 9PM (for Happy Hour!). And as always, their peach Bellini drink is super yummy, and I also recommend their teriyaki chicken bowl!

The Cheddar Bacon Burger at Cactus Club Cafe is delicious, and the restaurant is very accommodating for food allergies. The atmosphere and vibe here is nice with a good view of the mountains. But unfortunately, the service here is terrible. It doesn t look busy but we waited 45 mins for our food to be served. The food was good but it is on the pricey side.

12 ounces steak was perfect!

Wait list outside the restaurant was longer than expected. When it was time to be seated, we had walked by so many tables that were not cleaned and set. There were a lot of staff just standing around that we were surprised how long it took to clear tables, which would have helped with the wait listed table guests. Also, walking from our table to the restaurant was very long and far away. Parking: Parking in the convention centre lot is very expensive and there were limited street parking available

Amazing Happy Hour with equally amazing food choices. Packed even at 3PM, means it s popular and well liked. We were served exceptionally well and did not feel rushed. Would be a regular if I lived closer!

One of my favourite, reliable restaurants in Vancouver. They have a good happy hour and great cocktails (their peach bellini is a stand out).

I had a very mixed experience. The food was amazing! However, the service was a real letdown. From long wait times to inattentive staff, it felt like we were an afterthought. We had to look around and wait so long for our server for basic things like refills or even to place our order. While the food and atmosphere made it worthwhile but I m hesitant to return due to the service. Never felt like this in any another locations.

Beer served in a warm glass. Wrong wine (2× price, asked gris got noir). People who sat after us ate before us. Bartender/servers never checked on us, on their phone or chatting with off-clock staff. 25 minutes wait before anyone talked to us to order, after that we actively tried to get their attention, otherwise they would just walk past. Over 30 minutes waiting for food (burger and tacos). Burger overcooked and very thin.. Me and my partner both got a side of fries. Mine was hot and fresh, hers were cold and soggy. We asked to sit at the covered patio, but we were told it was closed. They sat some people there after we sat at the bar. Some guy (a busser I guess) kept giving me weird looks... The restaurant was not busy when we came, this was one of the worst experiences Ive had at a restaurnt. To sum it up: Just because its well known and in a good location, doesnt mean you can skimp off on untrained staff. The only time when our server was attentive was when it was time to pay. When she realized we didnt tip, her face and tone dropped. Obviously disappointed. I feel bad, but Im not going to tip on a sub-par service. Im as disappointed as she was. To recap: -SLOW service, even when not busy -No attention to food -No attention to guests -Lack of professionalism -Long waits for anything -Awful and mediocre service -Untrained Staff (or thats what it feels like) Im not pulling all of this out of my a**, I work in restaurants too, been doing so for 10 years. FOH and BOH. Ive worked at places like cactus club and this is NOT the standard. This is a failure of the management and leaders in charge of running things smoothly and efficently, and no one else. We went there on monday nov 11 around 10-10:30pm. Wont come back.

Great service and food

So i made a booking and wanted these U shaped booths overlooking the water. Didn t know whether they are part of Dining or Lounge. I selected Dining but in the notes I specified the seats i wanted. Later received a message saying because i chose the wrong area they cannot promise those seats. Which is absolutely absurd. I made my booking well in advance, instead of checking my notes and reserving the right seats they just decided to put the blame on me and made an excuse to not give the seats I requested. I canceled the booking and took my business to Joeys, requested their booths and without any fuss they gave me those seats. If you look at the reviews of average Joey and Cactus you would see JOEY is consistently better. Because they hire servers with great attitude. It s very unlikely I would give much business to Cactus anymore.

Good atmosphere. My group stayed and chatted for a long while . Very busy. Service reflected the full house. A bit slow but nothing to complain about. Very over priced for what you get. I love Salmon and I did NOT love their Dijon salmon. It was good fish but I did not care for the dish flavor itself at all. Very disappointed. Everybody elses food was fine. Nothing spectacular and not doubt it was worth the huge bill. But it was a good place to sit and catch up with family.

While the atmosphere and food were fantastic, the highlight of my evening was being attended to by Lauren. She is professional and knowledgeable, yet simultaneously friendly and approachable. The quality of service that she offers is rare these days, and I highly recommend that you not only dine here, but ask to be seated in her section (if she is working).

We dined at this restaurant without a reservation and were seated right away, but our experience quickly declined. We ordered around 9:30 PM, received our drinks in 5-7 minutes, but waited over 40 minutes for our food, which included just three items one being fries, which shouldnt take that long. The server seemed indifferent, and to top it off, they almost charged us twice for our order. Fortunately, the manager was helpful and resolved the issue. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant unless you have plenty of time to waste.

Came here on a Sunday evening about 10 minutes before happy hour could end. Didnt have to wait at all for a table and got a seat with a lovely view. Our server was really nice and friendly. We had a 4 course set menu, and the food was delicious The Kale salad was unexpected but very tasty. The Ravioli was lovely, although the Prawns were soaked in garlic, which was a little overpowering. Calamari was superb, and the steak was cooked perfectly, and to finish, the Key Lime Pie was tangy and tasty. It was our Anniversary and this was noted and marked on the dessert plate. We chose a bottle of wine but it was dryer than we expected. We only drank half of it, and the waitress announced when we asked for the bill that they were only charging us half price. This was unexpected but a lovely gesture. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Great if you can get a spot on the patio, or near the harbourfront window. If you cant though, its a busy place thats fairly dimly lit. The food is good, but youre paying for it.

Will was the best server. Came on Saturday with the girls to celebrate one of their birthdays and Will did a great job at making it a special night for our girl. Drinks were fast, food was fast, service was great. Even despite it being busy. Very impressed. Also the espresso martini was SCRUMPTIOUS.

Had a girls night with a couple of my friends Monday night around 7pm in the lounge area, it was a vibrant atmosphere. All of us had 5 red wines, jalapeño magerita, yam fries and the calamari between the three of us. Cactus definitely has the best jalapeño margeritas, however our waitress (blonde hair) came across as rude, dismissive, negated come to the table for within a timely fashion for any check ins and when she did, she d be quick to leave before we could even finish a sentence. She wasn t very friendly and the initial interaction was her asking for our drink order immediately. We eventually ordered the calamari, however it was too salty. She didn t check in for a while when we received it after 20 minutes of receiving it she came back and we informed her it was too salty and she told us she would take care of it however she seemed very displeased and bothered to do so. I waited a while for her to come back to order a drink and yam fries, however again she didn t come back for a long time. I made eye contact with a number of staff walking by all whom didn t come by, eventually I went to the bar to order and the female bartender wasn t very courteous and told me to wait for my server to return. When she finally did, I had just ordered the drink and before I could finish my sentence she was already walking away I said excuse me and she walked back in order for me to place an order for another appy. At the very end, she had another team member take our payments. I thought Cactus held a high standard for service however every time I go to this location the servers are generally unfriendly, very forgetful, and dismissive. Disappointing, unfriendly and poor quality service overall.

Great place to celebrate special occasion ! Our server was Kale Bro and he was very courteous and helpful. We had the yam fries, Nashville chicken, bolognese, and Robs burger. Our only complain would be for Robs burger which was a bit too bland without any substantial filling. Washrooms were clean and spacious. Reservations are definitely recommended else you need to wait in a separate queue to be seated. Also, the evening reception staff were rude and standoffish but the staff late night were courteous. If youre celebrating a special occasion, 1 dessert is on the house ! We got creme brulle and it tasted fantastic! Great view and convenient location too!

Dined here last night . Table booked for 930 .Seated at 950 . No server until 10.10 . All meals were cold . Server was rude sharp and not at all pleasant when we told her . She then proceeded to laugh at us to another colleague. When I asked her why she just laughed . And walked off . Compared to the same restaurant in Kelowna it is way below par . Wouldn t recommend it . Food below par service poor .

One of the best locations of Cactus Club Cafe. Right at the waterfront, great scenery just very busy everytime, but still, food is great. I think they have bigger serving (like calamari, truffle fries) here compared to other branches but the same for steaks.

My monday routine. I love the staff, the food is always consistent and delicious (especially the creole steak.), no complaints. The only reason the atmosphere is a 3 is because its just.. Too contrived. Someone in head office designed it and it shows. But thats not a detraction.

There was about a 15-minute wait as we didnt have a reservation. The hostess was well organised and communicative. The server was less attentive and changed twice during the meal. The roll was more filling than I thought it would be and an appropriate size since I was looking for a smaller meal.

The waitress didnt treat us really well and she was not in a good mood while taking our orders which gave us a bad vibe ! It took so long to bring our food we almost wanted to leave ! Nobody checked on us to see if we are doing good or do we need anything... although there were so many servers and wasnt busy, the service was not good . The fries wasnt fresh and it was cold ! The atmosphere is lovely and chill but bad service makes it a bad experience !

Everything about this place is Great. Great location, very good service, clean and well kept facilities, and above all great varieties of delicious dishes. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

Excellent restaurant, there are several in Vancouver and the quality of both was very good. Well served dishes and good service, I recommend it.

Travelled from out of town for our anniversary. Decided to book a reservation with cactus club coal harbour specifically for the water front dining. We arrived, the hostess had a very condescending tone to begin with and tried to convince us we had a reservation for the lounge. I had to physically show her my email and show that we indeed had a water front dining table booked. Waited an additional five to ten minutes to be seated. We get seated and and our server offers to bring water it took 20 minutes to get just water we order drinks as soon as he gets back to the table with our waters. We wait another 15 minutes for our drinks and order food straight away. Although it was busy it shouldn t be taking 30+ minutes for fries and 3 tacos . Overall, this location sells an idea of being a beautiful view and great atmosphere. Unfortunately it is operated by rude, intolerant staff and mediocre food.

Overall, the restaurant by the waterfront was a good choice. However, I felt that the drinks I had this time werent as great as they have been in the past.

Great waterfront restaurant overlooking the harbor. It was fun to watch the planes, takeoff and land from the water as well as all the boats out. The menu was pretty diverse and all of the food was just great. Service was super attentive and friendly.

I wanted to share some feedback from our visit today. We mentioned that it was our friends birthday and requested that dessert be served last as a special touch. Unfortunately, this didnt happen, which was a bit disappointing. We hope for better service next time. Thank you.for service I would give zero rating

Cactus Club is the best chain restaurant in all of BC in my opinion. It always has exceptional service, quality food and drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. I ve never been disappointed here and highly recommend it.

They decreased food amount too much. So, we have to order more and pay more. I visited cactus club very often. But very disappointed. I wont visit.

Monday night on Labour Day . me and my family went to cactus club we ordered the food we found 3 pieces of hair in each dishes after we were about to ask for the receipt our 5 dish calamari shows up bad service on this location.I saw staff not wear a hair net in a kitchen. I reserve the Table first time in this location. I always go silver dr .I preferred silver Dr Burnaby one the best location.

First time here I made reservations for 5:15. Got there at 4:45 and asked for a window seat instead of lounge. Beautiful view of the water and perfect supper. Julia KE was our waitress and did a great job. She kept checking on us. I had the best fish tacos and my husband had chicken tenders. Excellent food and I highly recommend this place. We will be back on our next visit.

I m from the states, but live in the PNW so I go to a Vancouver a couple of times a year. I ve been to several cactus clubs. We usually go to the English bay location, but went to Riley s across the street from this location and wanted to get a few happy hour drinks after dinner. Upon arriving there was a line outside which was fine because we were sat pretty quickly. Once we were sat the server seemed all over the place, very frantic. She helped us about 10 mins after we were seated despite her walking by several times empty handed. Once she finally decided to help our party (we had a decent sized party of 10). Everyone had two forms of ID aside from myself. I had only my U.S. passport and had been using Apple Pay throughout the day so I didn t have my wallet on me. This is the first out of 4 restaurants that we had been to that day that actually carded us. She wouldn t serve me due to only having my passport and apple pay even though everyone else in my party was 35 and over. That would ve been fine, except she was very rude and demeaning about it. After I told her that I didn t have my wallet all I had was my phone and passport she began speaking to me slower like I couldn t understand what she was saying the first time around. I told her again, I don t have my wallet and she proceeded to talk EVEN SLOWER! I ve never had an experience like this in the service industry or at a restaurant. It was extremely unprofessional of her and I wish I had asked her name so I could report it. She was prejudice, demeaning, rude and shouldn t be working in the service industry. I will never come back to this location.

Great place for good food!

Went to got drinks with a friend. The restaurant is really nice, but the service was pretty disappointing. We saw our server twice the entire night. Wouldn t recommend.

Great staff, great food, great location.

The food was as expected but Rachel (the one who is going to the Pink concert) and the woman that attended to us on the afternoon of 5 September 2024 was excellent. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I will be back with a bigger group and will surely ask for her. :)

The busiest CC location Ive been to; not often Ive seen lineups at other ones Ive been. The staff were very excellent, past paced and professional. Normally steak frites during appy hour is my go-to but they had this halibut dish that I had to try. Artistic yet delicious especially when the sauce was poured in front of me. That is pretty cool! If I were to be back in the area, def would eat here again. Parking: There are two paid parking lots that I noticed and used during my visits to Canada Place. Probably your best bet.

Ive been calling them for a the whole week but nobody pick the phone up!!! I forgot something on the table and i had to go there personally to find out if it is there or not. Any way, The food was good but not great. We have ordered sushi and calamari. The foods were over priced in my opinion. The location is great. In front of harbor. Overall 4 out of 5.

If there is a way to mark no stars at all I would have done it. I made a mistake in choosing this restaurant to host my wedding reception. From not being flexible in my requests to worst customer service, burnt steak, suggesting ketchup for steak and mashed potatoes, food served extremely late, upselling food from agreed menu without consulting me first! they even had the guts to charge me extra for their own mistake! such a disappointment; it was supposed to be a night to remember for me and my partner but they ruined it! Great food, service, location and atmosphere. Nothing was rushed, good time in between meals and no pressure for table to be cleared. Always have a good experience in this Cactus Club anytime Ive eaten there and very pleasant, attentive staff!

Great restaurant with a harbour view! I came by Cactus Club Cafe Coal Harbour after my trip back from Whistler and I was so hungry, I ordered 2 mains. I had the salmon steelhead which was delicious, and I also had the wagyu carpaccio which was delicious as well. I highly recommend both dishes! I did not expect a Cactus Club chain to perform this well in terms of food and flavour, but it did! My waiter and I vibed as well so it was a great time overall. This is a great restaurant and if you ask for a harbour view, even better!

We were there in September (i.e. not main summer season, but close to it). Without reservation, we were lucky to get a table with the open window harbour view. I would recommend a reservation, though, especially on warm days. The staff was really friendly, and surprisingly quick for such a large venue. The pepper steak was amazing, and they do a very nice Moscow Mule! A wide selction of foods, all of high quality, makes it hard to choose what to get! The music selection is contemporary and targeted to a younger audience; if youre looking for a romantic intimate experience it might not be for you, but if youre looking for good quality food with nice drinks with friends, its great!

This is a very busy location. Make a reservation. Nice view but hard to get an outside table as the restaurant is quite large with many interior tables. Food was very good, service was excellent and staff are plentiful and friendly. Prices are high, but the place is almost constantly full.

Right next to the Olympic torch, this place is really easy to find. When we showed up there 3 lines. 1 for reservations which was the smallest, 1 for inside dinning and then another for outside dinning. We stood in the outside dinning because we were the 6th in line rather than being 10th in line for inside. Inside looked pretty cool but the patio had a DJ and carried a little more relaxed vibe. We stood in line for about 20 minutes and then was seated. The menu had a great mix of plates that would appeal to a wide range of tastes. Service was really good. Especially for how busy it was. Drinks were priced decently and our entire evening was just lovely.

We had a 6 pm reservation, if you book in advance you can choose which table view you prefer, max 2 hour stay with reservation. They have a great viewpoint of the harbour. Love the tuna poke bowl, always fresh. Our waitress was very attentive about our guest with seafood allergies to ensure we had the best dining experience.

Visited on my first night in Vancouver. Although it seems to be a chain store with several stores in the city, it was a popular store with always a waiting line in front of the store.

Everything was delicous but the Szechuan Lettuce Wraps are amazing! Elaina took excellent care of us and made the perfect suggestions for a perfect meal. Thanks Elaina
