Friendly service and excellent presentation of the dishes. The wait before the 1st course and between each dish was a bit too long. I was told to come at 5:30 for a 6pm reservation. It finished around 8:30. My daughter fell asleep waiting for the desert. They substituted chicken fingers with Beyond meat chicken for vegetarian kids. I was not crazy about the food, but they were descent. The welcome drink and a take-home chocolate in a gift box at the end were very nice.
We had an amazing experience at Le Petit Chef tonight! A special thanks to our servers, Dora and Sophie, for their outstanding and attentive service. Watching the little chef prepare the food in the animation was such a fun and unique experience—our kids absolutely loved it! Not only was the presentation entertaining, but the food itself was also delicious, especially the dessert, which was the perfect finale to the evening. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Our dining experience at Le Petit Chef was world-class! After learning about this restaurant from a YouTube video, we had to visit and see it ourselves! It was such a fun & unique experience! The food was very incredible & delicious! Our servers, Dora, Sophie & Lucy were attentive & thoughtful. The service overall made it a fantastic experience! We're very grateful for this memorable evening! Would definitely return if we ever visit Vancouver, BC again! 🥰
Best family dining experience. All dishes were greatly present. Thank you for the birthday surprise at the end. More than you can expected - welcome champagne, coffee after meal, chocolate gifts and birthday cup cakes… such a great memorable night to have with my wife and daughters.
The experience per se was great. I went with my 6 years old daughter and she had a blast. The food was delicious and very well prepared. The tomato salad from the Spanish little chef was something I've never tested before. Incredible flavors. We had a hard time in picking the best little chef!..the room though was quite small and with very simple decor. Overall nice experience!
This is my second time going and I love what they’ve done on this season. Smaller and more intimate seating, and I was really pleasantly surprised with the food. The menu looked more simple and bistro-like but far from being basic! WOWED by the plating and presentation. I like the subtle twists on some of these classic dishes. Was really nice to sample all these flavours from different places. My husband and I both got the classic menu, but I regret not getting the kids dessert 😃. Adult dessert was mind blowingly beautiful and the kids dessert was this caramelised banana split that was fit for any adult! sorry - no photo. But even the kids dishes were beautifully plated. Service was super friendly and made for a great date night. ALSO! Was celebrating my husband’s 11 year cake. They were so sweet to make him something.
Le Petit Chef offers an extraordinary dining experience that transcends traditional dining. From the moment we were seated, we were mesmerized by the innovative blend of fine dining and cutting-edge technology. The intricate animations projected onto our table told a captivating story that complemented each course beautifully. The food itself was nothing short of exquisite. Each dish was a masterpiece, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was impeccable. The attention to detail in both the culinary and visual aspects of the meal made this a truly unforgettable experience. The Paradox staff at Le Petit Chef were attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our evening with their excellent service. They were more than happy to explain each dish and the unique concept behind it. Overall, Le Petit Chef is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a unique and immersive dining adventure. It's perfect for special occasions or simply to enjoy a memorable night out. We can't wait to return!
It was an amazing experience watching the Le Petit Chef 👨🍳 cooking in front of you and the delicious food arrived 😋. We also had a welcome drink and snack handed out with friendly staffs when we first stepped in before the dinner show started. During our dinner last night, we had a couple was celebrating 🍾 their anniversaries there. Paradox also prepared Le Petit Chef 👩🍳 animation as well and gave the couple surprises with the cake. It was very sweet and warm 😊. Last but least, we also had a thank you chocolate gift box from Paradox. Highly recommended for any occasion and kids would love it as well.
The show was fantastic and the food was not bad. Service was a bit messy and unprofessional. It s clear that none of the staff have had any restaurant experience or training. They keep rushing you to eat faster and stand next to your table and watch you eat, and if you put your fork down, they take away the plate even if there is food left. I think it might be because of the next seating schedule, but no one informed us about speed or timing at any point throughout the reservation or dining process. There was also no one to greet the guests, so all the people who arrived early were wandering the halls of the hotel trying to figure out where to go. It was a cute and interesting experience overall, but WAY too expensive for the quality of food and service. Worth about $100 per person, but with drinks and taxes and mandatory tip, it ends up costing about $230 per person. If they bring down the price, I d recommend it for a new, fun time. But if not, you ll feel that it s way overpriced.
not worth the price, it should have better food than this.
I had an amazing time here with my family!! What a fun, unique dining experience, my kids loved it too. The staff were super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the touches of art as well! Will definitely be coming back the next time I visit Vancouver!
Its worth the price because of the experience you get. The food is great but makes it even better is the whole setting, vibe and your experience. Watching the little chef prepare the food just make it out of this world.
The dishes are not only visually stunning but also bursting with flavor, a perfect blend of creativity and culinary experience. Highly recommend
This was a wonderful experience. It made for the perfect date night. I ordered the vegetarian option and my partner got the regular option and we both really enjoyed each of our courses.
A friend introduced me when I first came toVancouver. And I had an amazing time. The experience was so unique! The animation presentation and of course the food itself was great and delicious! The staff is great, Sophie and Lucy our servers, did a good job. P.S really really loved the green tea cheese cake
Great place
Le Petit Chef in Vancouver offers a unique dining experience combining immersive 3D animations with gourmet dishes inspired by global cuisines. Guests are entertained by the world s smallest chef as they enjoy a multi-course meal in a creative and engaging atmosphere. Perfect for a memorable outing, this blend of technology and fine dining promises an unforgettable evening .
Such a fun unique experience that I wouldnt have even thought was possible before experiencing it. Good value for a fun night with my girlfriend
I went to Le Petite Chef in Vancouver with my friend in September. This was an enchanting experience that was interactive from beginning to end. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was not a fine dinning experience but above average quality food paired with decent wine. It was fun to watch the chef cook in front of us and entertaining to watch the animation show while dining. The customer service was amazing. Id highly recommend this experience overall.
Le Petit Chef proves that dinner can be more than just a meal it can be an adventure, a story, and a memorable performance all rolled into one unforgettable evening. Its a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to be delighted, surprised, and very well fed.
I tried the Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and it was exceptional perfectly cooked pasta filled with earthy mushrooms and topped with a creamy, aromatic sauce. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was inviting. A great spot for a special meal!
Was a lovely dining experience that I had the chance to partake in with my family. We never encountered anything like le petit chef. The visuals on the plate were surreal, the kids loved the interactive aspect of the show!
Great food and amazing service! The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. Definitely coming back!
Amazing and unique experience you won t want to miss out!
Le Petit Chef is such a cool experience! The food was great, and the way they tell a story with each course is so unique. Definitely worth trying for something different and fun!
Great food!
Very good atmosphere and nice services
Really enjoyable experience, went with my girlfriend and we found it to be entertaining as well as delicious. Reasonable prices too
What an amazing experience at Le Petit Chef in Vancouver! The food was incredible, but the real highlight was the interactive storytelling during the meal. The little animated chef adds a fun, unique touch to each course. The vibe is cozy and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Definitely a must-try if youre looking for something different!
The food was exquisite, and the presentation was truly one-of-a-kind. Special thanks to the staff for their amazing service, making our evening unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Vegetarian options: Delicious food Food
My friends and I had such an amazing, unique experience here at Le Petit! The staff were very friendly, and all courses tastes scrumptious. The animation was a fun addition to the meal as well! What an unforgettable experience. Would love to come again!
Feels small eating here. Very cool.
We had such a lovely time at Le Petit Chef! We got the Friends Menu Classic and it was divine! The Matcha Green Tea Cheesecake was probably the best cheesecake I ever had. Will definitely be back.
I had a great experience yesterday at this restaurant. The taste of the food is out of this world and the service they provide is first class. Will visit again for sure.
Good atmosphere, nice staff, mouthwatering meals
Our experience with Le Petit Chef was on our cruise. It was an amazing experience for the entire family to watch the cool effects and enjoy our meal. Highly recommend the dining experience!
If youre looking for a dining experience that s both innovative and unforgettable, Le Petit Chef is an absolute must! From the moment we entered, we were captivated by the unique blend of immersive 3D projections and fine dining. Watching the tiny chef prepare the meal right on your plate was both entertaining and magical. The food itself was exceptional each course beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor.
Le Petit offers a fun, interactive dining experience with animations and an exceptional tasting menu! The food was delicious, service was top-notch, and the whole evening felt very special. A must-try to anyone looking for something unique!
First time family and I ever experienced a dining experience like this. We all loved it, especially the presentation and welcoming staff!
Fantastic night out, hope to experience again! Definitely a must try if you re from Vancouver as it s unlike anything else we have out here!
I recently dined at Le Petit Chef, and it was an unforgettable experience! The immersive show truly sets this restaurant apart from others. Watching the tiny chef come to life and prepare dishes right on my plate was both entertaining and magical. The projection mapping technology used is impressive, creating a unique blend of storytelling and gastronomy. The culinary experience was elevated by the visual spectacle, making each course a delightful adventure. The flavors of the dishes were outstanding, showcasing creativity and attention to detail. Le Petit Chef offers a dining experience that engages all the senses and leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something extraordinary!
What a fun and memorable experience. The projections were a cool touch and really made the meal feel like an event. The food was delicious, with each dish perfectly crafted and full of flavor. The staff were amazing so friendly and made us feel really taken care of. It s a great spot for a special night out or if you want something different from the usual dining experience. Definitely worth checking out!
The location is perfect right in the heart of the city, making it an easy choice for a night out. The 3D projections added a fun touch, and the food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and made the whole experience feel personal.
Le Petit Chef Team Vancouver has set a new standard for immersive dining, and I cant recommend it highly enough. Whether youre a foodie or just looking for a unique night out, this is an experience you wont want to miss!
This was our first time dining here, was referred from a friend. The food, service, atmosphere and ambience were 10/10. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and genuine and we really enjoyed our meals. We highly recommend it!!!
Great place
So delicious!!
Absolutely amazing experience. Food was delicious, waiters were kind and friendly. Couldn t have been more pleased. Will be coming back!
Amazing gourmet cuisine and great service
Enjoyed having dinner at the restaurant. Very interesting concept and cool place to visit! Would love to try again in the future!
My wife and I enjoyed the Le Petit Chef dining experience onboard the Celebrity Solstice Pacific Coastal cruise in September 2022. We were able to purchase and book the dinner at 20% off prior to sailing. The three course dinner was interactive, interesting and awesome choreographed by the food servers/presenters. We enjoyed the artistic, immersive and playful storytelling with our food. The food portions were adequate and the taste was good. The star of the show is the unique experience that patrons are paying for. Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy the playful interpretation and storytelling with the food, cutlery and tableware.
Super cute and a lovely atmosphere. Food was great too!!
Dora is the best! Love everything!
Love the atmosphere! It was a fun experience with the 3D effects. Both Dora and Sophie are very attentive and provided very good service, couldn t have asked more.
Sam, Dora and Lucy were wonderful, we had the beat time!! Thank you!!
We had a great time at Le Petit Chef! Came for a birthday and enjoyed all of it. The servers, Sam, Dora and Lucy were so friendly and really helped both set the scene at the beginning, but also were friendly and helpful throughout. Each of the four courses were great. I loved the salad, the ravioli was great and the steak and cheesecake were fantastic. Lots of fun and great food. I like that they did provide a little present afterwards, and a treat for everyone celebrating an event. Just a great experience all around.
Absolute joy to watch the little chef animation cook your food! The food was also absolutely amazing, and the staff were so nice
Having a clean white table cloth on a single table I feel would have helped to animation presentation. We enjoyed the show. The food didnt match the animation which was our expectation....not critical, but the small things can matter. It was pretty special that the restaurant knew it was my wifes birthday and she was presented with a special birthday animation and dessert. Thank you very much for that.
Everything is perfect and interesting video I love it Food
A must try experience! Fun and very entertaining show, food was great! The ravioli and matcha cheesecake was my favorite.
Food was superb! I loved all the food from appetizer to dessert. I would recommend this to everyone especially those who have kids and who are kids at heart. Will be back here definitely!
I was here last Sunday!!! This is an amazing restaurant! We had a lot of fun! Thanks to Kelly and her team, they provided us the best services weve ever had! Thanks to Chef and his team, the foods we had are awesome!! Strongly recommended to bring friends and loved ones to this wonderful restaurant!! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian option
Definately a different kind of evening dinner but super fun. Most enjoyable to follow the 4 different chefs doing their thing. Food is actually delicious especially the dessert. Staff was kind and attentive. Setting is quite intimate. Perfect for a date night :)
Staff was outstanding. The salad was good. The mushroom ravioli was exceptional. The steak was delicious. Due to allergys they changed my dessert. The only issue was the couple beside us and their choice of dinner conversation. Dietary restrictions: They gladly changed the menu to accomodate my allergy.
Came here for the 1st year wedding anniversary. My wife and me really enjoyed all meals and services. Thank you so much.
Interesting dining experience, great atmosphere, 4 courses, good food quality, very attentive service, overall a very enjoyable dinner, good
Simply amazing. Everyone must experience it at least once!
Namei, Sophie, Choco & Sam were terrific ! The hospitality was very welcoming , overall experience was great as well Food surprisingly kept me full and tasted good! Usually with pops ups like this I would be mindful about the food but it was solid Definitely a great place to gift someone an experience
Our family experienced discrimination at Le Petite Chef in Paradox Hotel, Vancouver. Despite arriving on time and waiting for half an hour, the host warned us that if our 22-month-old baby caused any disturbance, we would be asked to leave. Our baby did not exhibit any behavior that warranted such a warning, as she was enjoying our outing. This treatment was unexpected and disheartening, making it clear that families with young children are not welcome. When we requested a refund of our deposit, Le Petite Chef refused, despite their discriminatory treatment. Disappointed, we left and found a more welcoming environment at a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant, where our toddler was provided with a high chair and we enjoyed exceptional service. If you have young children, we advise avoiding Le Petite Chef at Paradox Hotel due to their apparent lack of accommodation for families.
Such an amazing experience! Worthy coming! The food was delicious and the service was really good as well! Food
the experience was fantastic, it was a whole new one I couldnt imagine from a restaurant - I wish it could reopen in Korea which closed not long ago. Dietary restrictions: theyve excluded what I cant eat and replaced it to something else
Excellent experience with fantastic meals! Exceptional services from all servers from start to the end! Food
It was a lot of fun.... will definitely return and experience again
Beautiful experience, appreciate the art and the delightful taste
I had such an amazing experience tonight at Le Petit Chef !! The service was excellent, super nice staff, and the animation was really fun, I was surprised by the quality of the designs. The food was so delicious, so tasty ! And I m French so I m quite exigent with food, and this was just incredible I really enjoyed tonight and would definitely recommend to anyone, without any hesitation !!
We had a really fun experience at dinner. The food was excellent, service was amazing, and the cartoon was funny and creative. Would definitely recommend!
The food, service, and entertainment was fantastic. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is interested in a unique dining experience! Vegetarian options: Services are offered
Le Petit Chef at Paradox Hotel delivered an extraordinary dining experience that surpassed all our expectations. From the moment we made our reservation, the professionalism and dedication of the staff were evident. Dexter, who followed up on our reservation for two weeks, ensured every detail was meticulously planned. His attention to detail set the tone for the impeccable service we received throughout the evening. Namei went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time, taking special care to accommodate food allergies within our group. Her thoughtful and attentive approach made us feel valued and well-cared for. The team, including Bella, TJ, Choco, and Jordan, were incredibly helpful in arranging our seats and ensuring our comfort. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added to the overall positive atmosphere of the restaurant. The food at Le Petit Chef was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and presented with artistic flair. The enjoyment of the meal was further enhanced by the captivating video presentation, which added a unique and entertaining element to the dining experience. It transformed a formal dinner into a fun and engaging event. Le Petit Chef at Paradox Hotel is highly recommended for anyone seeking a delightful dining adventure. The combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and innovative presentation makes it a must-visit destination. Dont miss out on this wonderful dinner show! Vegetarian options: It is great to have vegetarian options. It was delicious and I very much enjoyed it. Parking: It is convenience to have valet parking. Saving me a lot of time to look for parking around downtown and the prize is not expensive.
We had an opportunity to experience the Le Petit Chef dinner show in Vancouver at the beautiful Paradox Hotel and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the ingenious Skullmapping produced simulated 3D video/audio presentation accompanying each course was delightful and humorous. And I must give thanks and kudos to the wonderful Paradox staff members who provided the service along with the actual chef who I suspect was not quite as petit as those we watched. Special thanks and warm regards to Cristina, Sam, Choco and Hana who made us feel very welcome.
Such a spectacular experience dining at Le Petit Chef! Staff were so attentive to our needs, and I loved the experience of watching the tiny chefs make the food on my table, before enjoying the dishes itself.
Awesome, best experience ever. Kid-friendliness: Very cute Food : 5/5 |
Positives: servers were wonderful and the food (particularly the ravioli) was absolutely delicious Negatives: The presentation of the food don t match the show, ironing the table cloth would have enhanced the experience. At the end of the day this was an amazingly wonderful once in a life time birthday celebration. Vegetarian options: We saw other people eating vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Chicken strips looked delicious Wheelchair accessibility: There was an elevator
Great time!!! So much fun
Very special experience.
Very fun and yummy experience. Kid-friendliness: Had specific menu created for children to enjoy Food : 5/5 |
We just happened to get lucky finding this place on our way back from Whistler. It ended up being one of the best places we went during the whole weekend. I dont know where they find the time to make all the homemade food, drinks, and dessert. Its hard to pick which one thing was my favorite, but I am going to go with the homemade english muffins. I was originally going to skip the bun, but I was glad I tasted it and devoured it with my double salmon delight. The selection of main courses was terrific and interesting. More incredible was the choice of side dishes. It was tough choosing So we all ordered something different. The group favorite was the homemade vegetable chips and Hummus. My only way regret is that I live so far away that it will be a while before I get to come back. Shout out to Tommy, our server. His smile is completely genuine. Angie was happy to accommodate us in any way. ,
I enjoyed every second of this incredible show and experience! Food was delicious, staff very friendly, service was outstanding and the visuals were great! I highly recommend it!!!
Wasn t the greatest experience, we had the vegetarian option. The ratatouille was mainly bread, and vegetables were over cooked. the pasta was dry and crunchy not much flavour to it as well. The dessert wasn t half bad tho I enjoyed that. Other than the food the service was very nice, very nice people involved! The atmosphere wasn t the best, screaming kids running around.. while everyone was trying to enjoy the experience. The prices were to high for the food, it was all presentation based and tho it did look very pretty, I d save your money if I were you. Wasn t worth it
The food is not good at all Paying so much for a premade food is horrible! Steak was completely raw and cold salad no tast and desert was just blah with a nice presentation. My son couldn t even eat his food it was so bad. I understand it s an experience but paying $320 for 2ppl!!!! I thought the food should be decent. I don t suggest it at all ! Dietary restrictions: I m gluten free and they said at the door if anyone has allergies to anything when I shared they said sorry food is premade we can t do anything
Le Petit Chef offers an exceptional dining experience with its delectable cuisine and impeccable service. The menu boasts a diverse selection of expertly crafted dishes, each a culinary masterpiece. The attentive and knowledgeable staff enhance the overall experience, ensuring every visit is a delightful journey for the senses. From presentation to flavor, Le Petit Chef consistently delivers a memorable and satisfying dining adventure.
Wow I did enjoyed the show tonight, and also my kid really loved all these cute videos. Strongly recommended for family group who has a kid . They have 4 courses dinner. I had Classic adult meal, they also have vegetarian options as well. Of course the food was perfect. Oh and thanks to all the servers with their exceptional service.
Our date night at Le Petit Chef was beyond amazing! From the delicious dishes to the cozy vibes, it made the evening with my husband absolutely special. The staffs warmth added a lovely touch, making it a memory well cherish. Highly recommend for a magical date night!
Beautiful and exquisite experience! My husband treated me to a surprise bday dinner here and it was so fun and wonderful! There are 4 courses: tomato salad, truffles ravioli, medium rare tenderloin w bearnaise sauce, and a delicate matcha cheese cake. Everything was prepared to perfection and the animation provided such a pleasant entertainment. At the end, I got an extra treat (Sakura cupcake) because it was my birthday. I would highly recommend this!!!
The experience was amazing!
I took my daughter to dinner for her 19th birthday. We shared a table with a mom and her son. We all had our own individual Petit Chef at each seating. Wow! . The experience was like nothing else. We enjoyed our evening so much. It was a pop up restaurant, but intimate. The food was specatular. So many courses. So full. The service was professional and friendly. Its a memory to make at least one time. OUTSTANDING!!Thanks for the experience and the memories.
The menu showcases a perfect blend of creativity and classic techniques. Each course was a work of art, beautifully presented and expertly executed. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu is available Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions are asked. The chef was accommodating
I had an amazing opportunity of dining at Le Petit Chef held in Paradox Hotel Vancouver and I must say that all aspect of the experience was top notch! Great food, great service and the videography was absolutely stunning. Highly recommended for celebrating special occasions.
Had a good time and looking forward to its return!
A truly sensational dining experience. Delicious food, engaging cinematic presentation. Delightful and fun, I enjoyed from start to finish. A must try dinner out in Vancouver when its available.
A must-try restaurant when coming to Vancouver - Canada. A super new experience, seeing it for the first time. With extremely new interior space and decor, 3D style creates visual effects and super cute decorative dishes. Reasonable prices with good 5-star service quality, delicious food and a place worth checking in. Ready for 5 stars for service and food.
Our dinner was very wonderful and unique due to the Petit Chef images and stories. The whole experience was very entertaining and the food was delicious. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly - the stories and images are charming and were very entertaining to my young person who accompanied me.
I am not a huge fan of paying $200 per person for a meal or any sort of fine dining but I would say what you created was worth it and literally is the only dinning experience that I would pay that much for. The food was great as well. We can t wait for you to come back with a new production.
Everything was absolutely amazing. Even the short wait was peaceful. We took our 4 and 6 year old and they had a blast. Kid-friendliness: A little something for the kid to take home would have been nice. But not a make or break issue.
The experience was well organized, the food great and the staff was very friendly. The decoration was amazing and the atmosphere very romantic
loved the experience - 10/10 would do again if animations and menu selections get updated :)
It was a ton of fun, and great food. 10/10 would do again.
fun experience, not worth the $$$. food quality was sub par. tasted good but hot items were served lukewarm/cold, seafood in the soup was over cooked & mushy and I found a beard hair in my short rib plate. Vegetarian options: offer a vegetarian alternative to the menu Kid-friendliness: kid alternatives to most dishes
We spent over $200/ person and my short ribs was very very dry. I should have sent it back to the kitchen. Very disappointed with the dishes, except the dessert.
What a fun evening..definitely worth the visit if you are in the area. The projections on the table between the courses are simply adorable, making you smile the whole time and the food is just fantastic and beautifully presented. Kudos to the team for this incredible evening!
It is a fantastic experience. I can only recommend it.
Yes, the little chef is cute but the price is not worth with the food they serve!!! They change the menu from steak to short rib and the short rib is super DRY!!!! Service very good.
the show was great. food portion definitely could be bigger price was a bit much for what you got $680 for 2 adults and 2 kids. it was a good outing for the kids but definitely wouldnt come again.
They oversold there seat apparently, I wanted a refund but they had a no refund policy. I paid $500 I didnt get a seat with a show, just a Chair added on to another table. The food is horrendous. Tiny portions, no flavour. Short rib is dry as hell. Very disappointed in how over priced this place is for what they offered. The kids menu is a joke. Dont be fooled by the gimmick chef. Its not all as it seems or hyped up to be. They need to rethink the menu and really hire a new chef. Extremely disappointed.
First off our seating arrangement was a mess , our group got was separated into two tables facing away from each other. We had to squeeze 6 people into a 4 person table. 3 of the dishes had a curry flavor , definitely not french cuisine. The main dish of short rib was dry and flavorless , really disappointing for a main dish , Reminded me of leftovers. Worst of all was the price . 200 dollars per person can get you so much more in vancouvers dining scene. Dont waste your time and money here people.
What a waste of money.... Food was very average, and overseasoned. The soup was very salty, the food was dry, and dessert was too sweet. Lack of service, they left my finished plate there even when they had moved onto the next dish. They accidentally overcharged us someone elses table who had consumed alcohol. They also charge a mandatory 21% service fee per person, and a 5% credit card fee. Turns out to be about $240/person. For that amount of money, Id expect great service and food. Neither of which I received today. I am sorely disappointed. Ambience and environment was nice. Presentation was cute. But I would highly recommend against paying them a visit.
Such a disappointment! The meeting room allocated for the event was extremely small, no ventilation at all. Food was way below average, left the half of the short rib and dessert on the plate which cost me over $200.
Lovely Show! Highly recommand
Chef is cute and the show was nice. Food is okay. Main course changed steak into ribs?? Feeling a bit cheated since they didn t even have the courtesy to reprint the menus. Was not good. Dry and tough. Dessert was good. Forced automatic 21% gratuity is unreasonable when there s actually not much service at all. Don t understand how they think it s appropriate to just automatically make you tip 21% on an already overpriced meal. Just a one and done experience.
Best well-done steak Ive ever eaten in my life. Ive never order a well-done steak in my life and I would never but this restaurant does not give you a choice lol. For a french themed restaurant, I think its rather disappointing. The food looks great it terms of presentation and not to mention the animation of le petit chef was fun and entertaining. However, setting a price of $180++ per person plus a 21% fixed gratuity, one would expect a much better food quality and service. Also, Id like to note, if youre charging 21% for gratuity, maybe you should train your staff to pour the soup property instead of all over the plate. I witnessed one of your staff pouring the soup all over the plate and one of the guests meal had to be completely replaced lol. Overall, I would never do this ever again. Id rather go to a much better restaurant to enjoy a meal than spend a dime here. Good animation though.
Very nice show! Food was fantastic!
Great experience! It was a nice and show with fantastic food!
Fantastic show and delicious food. A great event for the whole family!
Really bad service!! Foods was okay, there was Mouse running around we saw it 3 times..
Last week I bought 6 different dishes I really enjoyed it today I went for 14 dishes because it s very good and good quantity
Never experienced a place like this before. Extremely impressed. Food was probably the best Ive had in my life. Would go back again for sure. If you want to try a different restaurant experience go here
After reading some recent reviews from about a month ago, I nearly cancelled our reservations. I m so, so glad I didn t. I took hubby here as a surprise yesterday for his birthday and what an absolute delight. The atmosphere was enchanting, the production was super fun, and the food oh my god, the food! There wasn t a piece of the meal we didn t absolutely love and I can confidently say it was one of the best meals of my life. It was primarily seafood - cooked to absolute perfection. The mixed seafood was crave-worthy, Cornish hen was delicious, but in my opinion the lobster was the star of the show. Absolutely incredible. What a fun evening and hopefully we ll be able to come back. My only (tiny) complaints are they ask you to arrive 20mins before your seating time but the waiting area only has two small tables with chairs so many people including older adults and children were unable to sit while waiting. Adding some additional seating would be nice. The other thing is just the price of drinks. When you re paying so much for the meal, it would be nice to include at least one non-alcoholic beverage or at least a more reasonable cost. It was $8 for a pop and the bartender didn t even fit the whole can into the glass. But again, very tiny complaints and will not deter us from returning at a later date.
Edit because I can t respond: it s been almost a month so the few days is incorrect. There is still no refund in my account and my bank will be issuing a charge back. It s been over two weeks since they cancelled the event and I have yet to see the refund in the bank. When I emailed LAST week they said it was processed on the day I asked. Giving the 3-5 business days for the transfer I m not sure it actually was. It s now been over two weeks with no refund. Doesn t make sense to me.
Experience wonderful. Food wise ...please make sure food is served warm not cold-and I m not talking about the ice creams, lol Oh and switch things around with that cauliflower steak .not only that it was cold but also that miso sauce deserved a gagg. Projectors, animation great! Servers -great. Cook/Chef- time to find a new one I guess Cheers
I really enjoyed it. The food was really good. Wasnt sure what to expect but was happily surprised by the experience and quality. I would go again!
Remarkable experience! A great add-on to a vacation in Vancouver and suitable for a modern business summit as well.
Very good, top service always happy
Mega experience
Le Petit Chef blew my expectations away. The staff were exceptional. Thank you to Kelly for making our experience superb. Every single bite of food was delicious. The art creates a fun and entertaining dining experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves food and art. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available. Dietary restrictions: All of the staff check in with you before entering and ask if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Kid-friendliness: Children menu available.
Amazing experience! Food was delicious, and the unique presentation to go alongside each course made it a special experience. Highly recommend for everyone looking for a very special experience with a loved one, family, or friends!
Le Petit Chef is a perfect dining experience for anyone looking for a unique and immersive culinary adventure. The moment you step into the room, you are transported into a world of wonder and delight, where you get to witness the magic of a tiny animated chef preparing your meal right before your very eyes! The real star of the show is the food. Each dish is expertly crafted, and the flavors are simply out of this world! All courses were as beautiful as they were delicious! It is the perfect fusion of technology, art, and gastronomy
Fun and delicious culinary adventure! Vegetarian options: Had a delicious alternative menu for veggie lovers! Kid-friendliness: Had a kids menu for little ones to enjoy as well!
What an amazing experience! Great evening out with friends, a stunning and funny animated show from this little chef that prepares the food before you, the ambience was lovely like you re in a secret garden. And wow, what food! 5 courses all done so well. We had a fresh salad with the best goat cheese I ve ever tasted, soup with seafood (mussels, prawns, octopus, the torched sablefish was to die for), then lobster and caviar for the third course. I would have been over the moon if we had a seafood main dish too, but that s only because I love seafood too much. The fourth course was a roasted Cornish hen, tasty and tender. We were getting full but I finished it and that says a lot. Finally dessert was a white chocolate mousse with pumpkin spice cream filling, a a crunchy cornflake base that I ate in tiny nibbles to make it last longer :P, and a choice of coffee or tea to finish. Very happy overall. Great dinner and entertainment.
We have a pleasant dinner with out of ordinary experience at Le Petit Chef. 5 courses are well served with a smile on each employee s face. Highly recommend
I wanted to go but because of the mixed reviews, I was back and forth. In the end im SO GLAD WE WENT! If you love tiny cute things, you are going to love this!! I went with my wife for my birthday and it was really fun and unique, something totally different instead of just going out for a fancy meal. I have worked in 5 star hospitality so Im pretty strict when it comes to what I expect especially when they are charging an auto gratuity. I was not disappointed at all, the service was excellent very profesional, attentive and the way/timing the food was served was perfect . I only give 4 stars because some of the food wasnt very hot and the cornish hen was a bit dry/overcooked. The portion size was perfect and everything tasted delicious!!! Again, im sooo glad we went! It was a memorable experience!
Awful!!! 500$ for vegeterian dishes!! How pitiful that!!
Incredibly overpriced, overrated, overeverything. $500 for 2 including $80 auto service charge of 21%. Do NOT go there.
Adventure on a plate. Breaks the barriers of traditional fine dining. Five courses of intrigue and delight. The salad to start has surprising flavors, especially the whipped goat cheese. Laksa broth soup was satisfyingly spiced. Each course has its own story. With a finishing dessert which pairs decadence of texture with a sweet yet not-too-sweet flavor profile. Service is unintrusive and friendly. I asked for caffeine-free tea at the end and they brought me a comforting organic chamomile tea complimentary. A must try dining experience! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian menu option. Kid-friendliness: Magic moments for the kids, very engaging presentation and kids menu.
Nice theme and surprisingly, food as well!
Chef Kevin showed us how to prepare ravioli. He was courteous, efficient, prepared and very pleasant to be around. The ravioli were divine! I highly recommend!
Booked this a soon as it was announced coming to Vancouver, 3 months ago. I get an email 2 days prior to the event cancelling it due to room unavailability. When I called to ask about it, the lady hung up on me. Do NOT recommend
Cancelled booking by email, 2 days before. This is infuriating. You took my deposit. What are you gonna do now to compensate me? Pay me money for the cancellation on top of returning my deposit? Dont waste your time with people like this.
A terribly unpleasant experience. Firstly, the dining environment was extremely poor. It was set up in a shabby tent on the hotel terrace with no decoration whatsoever. There were only a few cheap fans on the ground, and small insects kept flying around the table. Secondly, the projection technology was highly unclear, and the content was very brief. The food tasted average, with no notable difference from a slightly upscale Western restaurant, leaving no lasting impression. Most importantly, to have a meal in such a rudimentary setting, they charged me $400 CAD and even imposed a mandatory 21% service fee. What gives them the audacity to charge such exorbitant prices? I specifically checked other peoples reviews, and they dined in a grand ballroom. I dont understand why all of us were seated in a hastily constructed tent today while being charged the same price. It was not only a waste of money but also a waste of time, and it didnt even bring me as much joy as a meal at McDonalds!
Chicken wasnt cooked properly, was still pink and raw inside, and tasted bad too. Serving raw chicken is very dangerous and irresponsible. The octopus tasted awful as well, which was a first for me, because octopus is a favorite of mine, and it never tastes this bad. The dessert was so out of balance that no one managed to eat more than half of it. The salad was ok. Two stars for the animations only, because unfortunately the food was garbage.
GIMMICK. Venue was hard to find. Staff aren t instructed properly by the manager on what to do. And unhelpful when a customer raises a concern. Unorganized. Manager lady seemed very inexperienced at her job and had a very indifferent demeanour over all. The projection was low resolution. Each course had a set time to be eaten by because there are visuals to be seen on our table between courses but a whole row of us for every course get the food late and when the visual is about to begin they asked us to move the plate away from us while we are eating in order to see the visuals. Price is wayyyyy too high and it was for a bad experience. In the end after paying the bill and as we were heading out, we were told to return back to our seats by the manager for another video. It was a surprise video of another dish that looked like was gonna be served but nothing came to our table. We had to awkwardly get up again after that and leave. Adding the Cherry topping to the whole BAD experience. Over all it felt like a scam.
The place was hard to find. This must be just pop-up venue for certain period. I do not understand why it has to be so expensive for that place. There was no accurate direction to get to the venue. We were stuck at the hotel lobby 10 mins to find. And the place was changed to different ball room. Well. I was suprised that 1. it was just located inside of ball room ( not isolated or specific spot) . 2. and the time I got there, I was told that it was moved to small ball room which I did not get any update regarding it. Unorganized overally. Worst/unpleasant atmosphere. Beam project. Obviously hard to see because I was basically eating almost outside. It was like meeting room outside and they just put dividers to make the space as small room. Terrible place I have ever been with paying over 400 dollars with mandatory 21% tips. About service? Speechless. * But the asian waiter and waitress were trying to be helpful at least * If you want to be treated like xxxx with paying more than 400, then visit here. Small ethnical restaurant have better attentive and better service I bet. The waitress who seems to be my designated food runner constantly throwing my plate to the table every time she brings. I really wanted to say something but didnt bcause I dont want to ruin my day at least. They all look sad there. And food. all seafood fishy. all vege not even fresh. food portion was evil. I am pretty sure people who manage that place will not take a look my review because they dont care at all. If they do, I feel they can partially refund to anyone who suffered the fraud like I suffered too.
The entire experience was amazing. Food was delicious. The staff were great. Overall it s a great experience. Surely costs $$$$ but 1000% worth it. I ll go again for sureee
Ate here last week so my review might be slightly faulty from memory. Didn t go into this with fine dining expectations or high expectations on the food due to previous reviews despite the price tag, but I d like to add my 2 cents here as well. Overall, fun experience and I was able to surprise my friend for her birthday. (Wish I remembered to call them to let them know it was my friends birthday, I saw them do an anniversary dessert placard for the table next to us) Projection was slightly blurry, but it s okay. Things that could have been improved. It s mostly the attention to details that was missing: 1) signage: we had to muddle our way to the dining area (I know it s the last month, but I ve seen proper signage in other reviews) 2) the backdrop and props were non-existent: I saw it from my sister s photos so I was looking forward to take photos with them with my friend. 3) server training: they were super nice, but it was a bit inconsistent. Sometimes they collect my utensils, sometimes they don t. So I was confused as to what I should do with them. And for the lobster dish with caviar, why in the world would a regular spoon be used. And the dessert at the end a small dessert spoon instead of big dinner spoon would have been the better option. The minor details. Now.. dish by dish: Garden of Eden: delicious after eating this dish I thought, wow maybe the previous reviews were a bit harsh Sailing the Stormy Seas: soup was a bit overly salty, but the torched sablefish was unseasoned (no salt at all), but I did enjoy the chew to the charred octopus. Hymn to the Ocean: It was okay. Lobster cooked well. Sauce was a bit overpowering. And once again choice of spoon for caviar. Does it really not make a difference? ((Shrug)) Secret Diary of Haruto: meh perhaps better than their previous menu item they replaced (the ribs), hen was okay .but I did not enjoy the veggies much. Case in point Something that resembled a broccoli but tasted like a cauliflower was completely hard to bite into. Treasure Island: surprisingly good ~~~ And after the last animation I seriously thought we d get a cupcake as a gift to go. So to not get anything at the end was a bit disappointing. Overall a solid 3 star experience in my books. But lots to be improved on for sure . But since it s a nomad type dining experience with no fixed home it s to be expected. P.s. the auto gratuity was off putting to say the least.
The food was delicious, we had the vegetarian menu because of allergies to seafood. Its a cozy small space, and the show is funny, our second Petit chef experience, the first one being in Mexico. The door gets opened to bring the food, letting a cold air draft inside, which is uncomfortable if you are seated in the doors path on a windy day. The plates werent brought in sync most of the time, but I assume this is because of dietary needs of children and adults. And the price is steep for what it is, since they add a 21% gratuity, for 2 people it ends up being around 450 CAD for both. I would still go to another experience like this, since it is fun and original.
