Royal Prince Restaurant in Vanier

Charged me way more than what was on the menu.

I didnt like the food at all. Its rare to see Haitian cuisine not good. There was a bitter aftertaste. Really disappointed. We had to throw it away unfortunately.

I was overcharged. When asked why he said the tax. I just laughed it off. 16.99 plus tax does not equal 22 dollars.

You can tell the food ain t fresh but it s delicious. Could be way more generous with the Pitzijk and the macaroni salad with plantains+rice is too much carbs. Theres no salad n there should be

Delicious! The marinated beef and jerk chicken melted in your mouth and the sides were perfect. Special mention to the pikliz which was very spicy. Additionally, the portions are very generous.

One of the last great family-run restaurants in Vanier, great Caribbean food and wonderful service. Make sure to try the goat, chicken rotis are amazing! Food

Had the jerk chicken and rice. The chicken was flavourful and saucy, and had a good amount a spice. Would buy again!

I ordered a large jerk chicken . Good portions the salad and macaroni were good everything was really juicy and flavourful.

Best Haitian food hands down and I ve tried a few restaurants. Idk their full menu but I ve read things amazing! And I know good Haitian food my mom is a chef w a restaurant herself! Food

I recently dined at Royal Prince Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. I truly enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I decide to try this place and now we cant stop raving about it to our friends. We got the jerk chicken and the kabrit goat, both were fantastic. Even the sides they serve are so well done. The sides could be treated as an after thought but everything was cooked with care

Everytime I come here and ask them if they sell jerk chicken or patties they say they dont sell anything. This place doesnt even seem like a legit business. Never seen anyone order food there or seen food for that matter

1st time here. Good food. The problem is this place can not take off with out support. Construction zone on Montreal. Buy local Ottawa I did by saying I am picking any local biz. And no man , I dont know these people. Happened to be in Vanier and got take out.

I ordered the Jerk Chicken platter. Inedible. No jerk flavour at all, and extremely salty. The plaintains were like a brick.

Not only is this place authentic with delicious items on the menu and not only are the staff so kind and personable but let me tell you about the honesty and respect that they have for their customers. I personally only eat halal meat. They have some items on the menu (always changing) that are halal. When I called just now to place an order, the gentleman told me I unfortunately cant sell you anything because we use one oil right now to fry and earlier a piece of pork fell into it, I am so sorry. THAT IS EVERYTHING truly gained a regular customer as of this moment. I cannot wait to order again from them soon! Any other place would just want to make a sale and wouldnt be honest with me like this person was. It means so much to be respected this way :) Edit: i called twice again and they said the same exact thing. I cant believe how played I feel. If you dont sell halal anymore, please just say so. Dont come up with fake excuses smh. How disappointing.

I have been going here allot since i moved to the area. Reasons are food is great price for what you get. I recomend royal prince to anyone who has not been and to try the soup of the day and one of the combos.

You know that warm fuzzy feeling you get from that down home, feel good food you used to eat with your family on special occasions? This food is that feel good that just makes your pallette and taste buds scream give me more! Unfortunately we were on a strict lunch budget other wise I might have had to order a second plate! Super casual setting and r&b in the background made it fun and exciting as my wife and I tasted the Carribean flavour the good people at Royal Prince are serving up. I had the Goat and my wife had the Curry Chicken. The goat was perfectly cooked. A Combination crisp and crunchy on the outside and succulent and juicy on the inside. My wife said it was the best curry chicken shes ever had. Five Stars and hats off to the chef. Need I say more? :)

Delicious! Haitis best flavors in your mouth

Food was ridiculously delicious and flavorful! I was so surprised I paid so little for something this amazing and they were very generous with the portions. I couldnt finish my meal even if I tried.

This is an awesome restaurant, great food, cold beverages and great staff. I am so happy to have found this gem that is near my work. I encourage you to support this family run business and enjoy and enjoy their tasty treats.

Just what I needed for my Friday dinner. delicious tender chicken, crispy but juicy griot, delicious and perfectly spiced rice, etc... And very affordable. Will be back.

Just opened a week and a half ago and Im already stoked to have such tasty Caribbean food such a short stroll from my house! Owner seems like a super nice guy and hot dang do I ever love that spicy coleslaw!

Love this place and the people who work there. Its so nice to have tasty food in the neighbourhood. Place is usually pretty quiet at the moment but with the exceptional food that comes out of there it will be no time before their rockin. Phenomenal food, very generous portions, and by far the best Caribbean food in Ottawa. The owners are clearly passionate about their restaurant and it shows in their food, the wonderful service, and all the details. I hope that everyone discovers this hidden gem!

What an awesome restaurant! I love Haitian food, but have never ordered from a restaurant. I got the legumes with beef and it was amazing! Super flavourful and perfectly spiced! I will definitely be ordering from, or heading there again in the near future! The portions are huge, the food is amazing, and you wont be disappointed.

Great food. Meat is crispy outside and yender inside. Pickly, plantains and rice (few varieties depending on the day). It is worth your time.

Decent breakfast at a very reasonable price. Service was a bit slow but it was very obviously a single person doing everything. Overall a satisfying experience

Tried this place last week and loved it so much that we ordered for take out less than a week later. Great food, very friendly service, unreasonably well priced. Best rice and beans Ive had in awhile, and I have no idea what that sauce is, but its amazing.

Very Happy Vegetarians! It was our first time at this restaurant and it will now be our new go-to spot! We were pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian option that was offered here. The food was enriched with flavor, the portions were satisfying (even the small plate was filling) and the prices were exceptional. The restaurant was very clean and well-designed. The mood was further enhanced with the sound of reggae music resonating in the background. The host was kind and considerate. It was evident that a lot of love and care was put into the food and restaurant. Overall, the energy and experience was welcoming and we will definitely be returning!

Best Haitian food in the city! I highly recommend to anyone who will listen! Their take out special is perfect for a cheap price and a quick bite to eat! While the more expensive meals are well worth the extra penny.

You cant go wrong with Royal prince. True Carribean flavors. Freshest ingredients Ive had at a restaurant in a while. Ive had the goat, the pork, chicken...all absolutely tender and juicy.
