The Family's Restaurant & Bar in Vanier

Ate there yesterday and they were so cheap they wouldn’t give full portions. The food isn’t even that good not worth it at all

New discovery for us. The food was tasty but in my opinion the portion was not big enough. My husband had chicken and I had the goat. The goat was over cooked (deep fried) and had more bones than meat. The side salad was a very small portion. The rice with beans was adequate and very tasty. We also got a slice of plantain in our plate, again a few slices would have been appreciated. May give it another try but honestly for the price, I expected more!

Well cooked,served meal in a clean environment. I loved the way their washroom look. Was a karaoke night, every Tuesday!!

Great place. Super friendly. Very tastey food. We had a couple lunch specials to include fried chicken, rice and peas, salad and plantain. That with a beer and a pop was approx $36 and change. That's very good price. Definetly coming back to check out breakfast and the weekend some beers and enjoy live music.

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant, (May 22nd 2022) it was my first time, it's absolutely amazing and tasty food, my wife and I highly recommend this restaurant, we will sure go back next time we are in Ottawa. We purchased (cabrit) Goat and rice to bring back to Toronto...The lady in charge of the place is very friendly, good customer service, she is an excellent cook. A master chef with years of experience. The place is clean and spacious. The best Haitian/Caribbean food in Canada. I wish I was living near Vanier unfortunately It's a 4 hours drive from my home in Toronto.

They just moved to a new location. Lots of space. Great for events. They offer catering. Very excited to try the food. Very reasonable prices. The owner is a very Haitian woman. Always greets me with a big smile. It's a bit off the beaten path, but so worth the visit. It's behind the Shoppers Drugmart and Cadman's bagels.

Amazing Caribbean food. Authentic Haitian cuisine. Food is fresh and full of flavor. Good portions. Eat in or take out. Very friendly staff! Definitely a place to order from. Restaurant is a hidden gem beside 150 Montreal Rd parking lot.
