J ai fais affaire avec leur service traiteur pour un événement de type cocktail dînatoire pour 35 personnes et c était parfait! Les bouchées étaient délicieuses et très jolies, notre chef et notre serveuse étaient très gentilles et la communication avec la gestion du traiteur était très facile. Je recommande fortement de faire affaires avec eux, des gens professionnels et une équipe très sympathique!

Unsuspected place because it is well hidden but which allowed us a very nice evening with friends and children. The service was very efficient, good advice and fast. Last Wednesday, June 26, 2024, me, my wife and one of my sons went to Bistro V for the blind menu that we love so much! However, not only did the incomparable former butler, Martin, leave there less than a year ago, but the one with an always welcoming smile, who had replaced her (Audrey) also left recently. A young man with bandages on his hands told us that he was taking Audreys place. I prefer not to mention his name. In summary, here is our evening: 3 hours in total during the week between my arrival and the end of the meal. I told this waiter and maître d that I wanted dessert quickly, because I had to leave because I was getting up early for a contract the next day and he said he didnt believe me! During a conversation between me, my wife and my son, the waiter lingered for a very long time. While bringing the dessert platter to share, a glass jar fell into my expensive red wine glass, shattering the glass and splashing me! However, the waiter only offered me a slightly larger dessert to replace the broken dessert and I had to persist in getting 3 shooters to replace the expensive wine glass and they saved money in the process. the price of the wine glass versus the cost of the 3 shooters and nothing was offered to me to compensate for the red wine stained pants. Then when he left with the empty desserts he almost broke everything and dropped it all on the ground. A nearby employee above him took the opportunity to frankly belittle him in front of his large table who laughed loudly, crushing the morale of the young novice already at its lowest. The next day I contacted the restaurant and spoke with the one who now manages the catering part and she told me to look into it and make sure that Benoit the owner was there to call me back quickly on this subject. 3 days later it still wasnt done. Never in my life have I experienced such poor and pitiful service in a restaurant and if it wasnt for the fact that the food was impeccable as always, I would obviously have given it 1 star. To demonstrate how different it was before, I leave below the text of the 5-star review that I wrote for this restaurant 5 years ago: 2019: Me and my wife have tried most of the great restaurants on the south shore and without hesitation their 5-course blind discovery menu (that is to say that it is the outstanding chef who decides what is you are going to eat) is in my opinion the best restaurant available on the south shore of Montreal. And if you go on Wednesday evening, you will also have 40% off your bottle of wine and this extraordinary gourmet meal is also on discount on Wednesday evening. In addition, all the staff are great, Martin the head waiter in the lead! So even if this great restaurant is a little isolated, almost in the fields and in the heart of the booming industrial district of Varennes, dont stop there. Because once there it s very beautiful. I end by saying thank you for the big royal party they had last Wednesday for their 3rd anniversary. They and the Méchante Virée then received their numerous guests like kings. Drink extras, cold meats, tacos, oysters etc... Long live this restaurant which I can no longer live without!!!

Practically perfect, there were 4 of us, everyone loved it, my dish was the one that lost 1 star. But the atmosphere and everything is a place where we will return with great pleasure!

There was a group of us and the restaurant was full, it was a bit noisy. The food was good but nothing more, however the dessert was delicious . The service was ok considering the number of people to be served at the same time.

Disappointed! Following the publication of many good comments published on the Julivillois FB page, my partner invited me to eat at this restaurant for my birthday. First of all, I would like to point out that my assessment does not in any way concern the atmosphere, the decor and the service which are still up to par and I even give a special mention for the choice of the background music which is really tasteful. I ordered the dish combining two tartars (beef and salmon) and my partner the fish & chips. My dish was not at all spicy, lacking in taste, the salmon tartare was ok but nothing more but the worst, the beef tartare looked like porridge for cats...On the other hand, the fish & chips was good.

Unfortunately very mediocre. Starters that are much too expensive for frozen food, tasteless tartars, dry-rising ribs and very slow service. Thanks anyway

Breaded Shrimp as a starter, it was good. The pudding was okay, nothing more. The tartars were good but next time I will try something else. The brownies were excellent, to be had again. Calm atmosphere, we can chat.

The service was ok, you had to be patient. we asked and waited and asked again. The restaurant was almost empty, we wonder if one is the consequence of the other. The overcooked ribs which tasted mainly of mustard, the tartars without love (or taste), the 2 stars are almost fair for the fries and salty and fried starters. This was the general observation of our table of 12 guests.

Tasting menu: Or no taste or too much taste and bitterness Not a single noble product on a 78 menu. Only the dish is acceptable . Frankly disgusted to pay so much for such a tasteless meal . A lot of effort on the visuals for an immediate disappointment in taste.

Passing through for a business trip for 10 days in March, I found this restaurant rather by chance. After a very convincing evening, I decided to come back for the tartare evening. Excellent. I also discovered maple pie, a must if youve never tried it. The cellar is magnificent. Thanks to Martin with whom we had a great evening chatting

I loved my first visit to Bistro V! We took the 5 courses blind for 2 people and all the dishes were delicious! All meals that I would not have been game to order on the menu and that I was able to discover thanks to this service. The service was quick, our food was hot, the atmosphere is good and the decor is beautiful. Our server was excellent, he knew his menu well and always gracious to us. :) I cant wait to go back and try the 5 courses again!

Food very well presented, but lacking in taste. The seasoning on the White Lion burger is bland, the pulled duck is dry and the salad dressing does not bring out the colors of the dish. The service is very good, although a little long.

Following a funeral where we decided to receive family and friends. The restaurant staff is excellent. Thank you Martine for the outstanding service! A small family who wanted to celebrate their mothers birthday... no dishes!! We had a blast! Swordfish, veggie burger and premium beef with a Caesar salad and a shared starter of Buratina and tomatoes to die for!! For the occasion, a cream not 2 crème brûlées to share! In addition, the virgin ceasar and the choice of whiskey completed the meal. I highly recommend! Thank you and happy birthday mom!!

Atmosphere on the terrace: beautiful decor, not too noisy, little background music, comfortable chair Service: very kind and welcoming staff Speed: OK - meal served in 20-25 minutes on a Friday evening (1 person) Flank steak: very bad, nervous, difficult to cut, the meat did not want to separate and it just tasted of fat in the mouth, strange texture. I must have received a bad batch by bad luck (I hope). Cooking of the flank steak: I asked for medium - well done and I received rare - medium. I turned it over and the 2nd cooking was better, but it was more medium. It still needed a little bit of cooking to be medium - well cooked, because there was still a little blood inside when I cut the flank steak. The cook who took care of my meal didnt seem to have mastered cooking meat... I gave up. Fries: delicious Mayonnaise: regular or spicy types, both were good Accompanying vegetables: not classic, ordinary taste, the mushrooms were hard and difficult to eat... Crème brûlée: very hard top, very ordinary taste Presentation of the dishes: beautiful Price: flank steak = $29, crème brûlée = $8 Value for money: too expensive for the quality Compensation: Since I really didnt like my meal, I was given a free dessert. I then asked to speak to the manager, but he was too busy. I had to wait 15 minutes to talk to him. He gave me the meal for free without me having to wait to talk to him. I left the waiter a good tip for his good service and left. Thanks to the manager for this decision. I had chosen to treat myself to a good meal for once, but I had no luck. I can now try again, but unfortunately I will go to another restaurant.

We came here by pure chance and I can tell you that my girlfriend and I were pleasantly surprised. The waiter was extremely kind and the meals were delicious. The prices werent too exaggerated either. I HIGHLY recommend. We will be back without a doubt.

I called to ask if they sold organic... The girl was super nice on the phone and honest! They encourage Quebec products these good and they have some organic vegetables it seems but when I asked if the meat was organic it seems that the cook would have looked askance... Too bad to see that the people judge especially when certain try to pay attention to their diet and do not eat just any 1uoi so I do not have. order so as not to disturb or create conflict damage... Best kept secret in the southshore. Hidden treasure on the south shore of Montreal. Anthony the chef is a virtuoso of the culinary art in a refined setting with unparalleled service. I only have to think of Thomas, Mikhael and the others. I recommend the tasting menu for two at only $89, excellent value for money. Please take advantage of the talents of this young chef. What can we say about the wine list? There are beautiful products there. I even had a Constance wine for dessert this evening. Keep your good work.

Very slow service. Bring a tray of bread on request (never offered) and do not take the sturgeon, it has to be cut with a knife because it is so overcooked. The tuna tataki is delicious and the restaurant is up to date.

It was our 2nd dinner at Bistro V and like our first time we were delighted by the quality of the dishes and the excellent service, friendly, warm and welcoming. In short, we will definitely go back!

Unique place on the South Shore where you can taste many local ingredients that you would not find elsewhere. Superb selection of wines for all budgets. Depending on our tastes, the maître d can suggest food and wine pairings. The kitchen brigade is very flexible about dietary restrictions and allergies. Lounge atmosphere, music not too loud, perfect for going to eat and then crossing over to Méchante Virée to celebrate a little louder!
