Sushi Shop in Varennes

Frozen salmon and not at all tender, the worst sushi shop I have tried to date. I should have gone to the red chicken next door instead lol

Every time I go to the Varennes branch, I am disappointed and I tell myself this time it really is the last time. Burrito 1/2 serving. Sushi mistake in combo. Even if mentioned. Then finally, plain hands drop the package of sushi in the parking lot. Because the person had forgotten to put the sticker on the box. Because the sushi boxes Shop is not closing. Ultimately money wasted

The last time I was there, I paid for an extra that I didnt get (I didnt realize it until I got home), the avocado was browned, and the rolls were all falling apart. I will rather go to the Sainte-Julie branch next time: the quality is way above!

This is the second time Ive been to this branch and unfortunately I dont recommend it. Not only was it no longer possible to order sushi from the menu because there was no rice left (at 7:15 p.m.!), but I also ordered a package of Tempura Vegetables which ended up containing shrimp! Very disappointed, especially considering the price ($7 for 3 pieces). Vegetarian options: Not recommended

I really like this branch. Their sushi is tasty and flavorful. The red tiger, volcano, cherry blossom..!! A delight! Even though they were expensive, they are a treat for the taste buds. But Ive been there twice now and its not the same thing at all. $100 worth of sushi and an empty roll of flavor. Rice rolls in soy sauce and no more spices, foods and nothing in the center Damage; I like its location, accessibility.

The second I set foot in the store, they ask me if I made an order. After telling him no, looks at me with despair and tells me the waiting time. I tell him no problem and give him my order. Not even finished, the employees are shouting at each other, insulting each other and complaining. All this to end with a poke bowl that only has salad, rice and chicken with no flavor (thats not what I ordered). Strongly advise against

Worst Poké bowl Ive eaten. Half the ingredients were missing. The ones from the grocery store are really better, in addition to being cheaper. I will never order from a sushi shop again!!

It was the first time I ordered from a sushi shop it will be the last I placed the order online 2.5 hours before to make sure it was ready I waited 15 minutes to be served and yet my bowl was lying around on the counter. When I received it it was room temperature so how long had it been there?! Tk, I ordered the sunrise poke bowl because the fried sweet potatoes on top tempted me... there werent any... there must have been avocados... I got 4 small pieces in each bowl... no more salad only rice in short, very disappointed, nothing to do with the images on the site

The sushi was very good, however all the tables were simply disgusting (Wednesday 12:00 p.m.) no rush of customers there. We cleared a table, ate and left. Skilled employee for sushi but for customer service and human warmth we will come back.

Its disappointing to pay so much for poor quality, incorrect order, poor service and piled up and poorly served sushi.

Well normally I dont have anything to say about this restaurant, but now I need to complain. When calling to have my order prepared, I ask for a spicy shrimp poke bowl and other sushi without fish since I am pregnant. I arrive home and start eating my poke bowl, and I notice that there is smoked salmon in my shrimp poke bowl, even though it is not even listed in the ingredients on the website and also having specified that I am pregnant, therefore that I am not allowed to eat raw fish. I am completely shocked. I will never order from this sushi shop again.

Saturday September 16, I went to pick up my order. Out of 6 tacos ordered, only three had been prepared... Instead of completing the order, an employee began to redo all 6 tacos.... In the meantime, I paid and left a generous tip. 3 young girls and a young man were present in the store, with no manager to supervise them... The one who was responsible for preparing my tacos kept chatting with her friends, taking all her time and interrupting her work to laugh better at his jokes. She could see that I was waiting, but not once did she glance at me... It took a long time... I regret not having taken back my ticket left as a tip... The tacos were sloppy, one of them had almost no pieces of tuna... At the price of the sushi, I find the quality and service dismal. I was a regular customer, but now its over, I wont set foot there again....

I went to the store, 2 customers 3 employees I just wanted a kappa philly and they had a 1 hour wait. I work in a sushi shop and making this sushi takes 1 minute to make. disappointed

Where patience MUST be there. Order for 4:30 p.m. and 1 hour later in line waiting with around fifteen customers who all seem to be as patient as each other. Organize yourself better than that!

Everything fresh and well prepared. If you order in advance the service will be faster. Always well served. Delicious sushi. I recommend without problem!!!

2022/02/18 5:20 p.m.: Unclean places, messy kitchen, employee who touches everything with her gloves, another touches her mask and goes back to touch the sushi. Exterior of plastic containers all greasy. Order incomplete. This isnt the first time its all messed up like this. Customers, go elsewhere.

I have just arrived to look for sushi I am very disappointed poorly made no soy I had asked for ginger I dont have any they are uneven they fall apart we have some 2 inches thick others too small. young girls looked new it doesnt take much to lose customers you should watch out.

J arrive in traîne sur le comptoir..j avais peur de le manger et d être malade. Il y avait 3 pouce de salade dans mon poke bowl pratiquement pas de légume et de riz. Ça fait ben dure. Je ne vais plus y retourner

To begin with, all the vegetables (avocado, lettuce and cucumber) had a completely uneven cut, ranging from 1cm to 1mm...Not to mention the lettuce, which was the main ingredient in our poke bowl and which made the whole very unpleasant dish. To continue, the rice was undercooked, but hey, in this case, that was the least of our worries. Plus, well come back for the crispy rice request! The salmon was not even cut correctly, we had large pieces that were still holding together and we will return for the freshness of this one. We suspect this one was thrown loosely in the blender. Finally, after discussion following my dissatisfaction, I was told that some employees filled the poke less than others and that the owner was fully aware of this and even encouraged this. In conclusion, if you want to eat a good poke bowl, I absolutely do not recommend thinking about the sushi shop, Varennes branch.

I decided to recommend this restaurant because my favorite sushi restaurant is closed until the end of January. This one is not my favorite in terms of the quality of the dishes. That being said, I have a taste for sushi so I order with a leaflet presenting discounts on orders above certain amounts. So I place my order by phone and validate the free sushi and they confirm that yes. I arrive there already 5 people waiting there and my order does not seem to be ready even though I arrive exactly on time. The clerk asks me if I have the coupon, I tell him no and he doesnt tell me anything and charges me for the free sushi at a cost of $11 + taxes. I tell him that no one told me to bring it with me. Knowing that most restaurants dont ask for it, I didnt have the reflex to bring it. Again, its not the end of the world. But unexpectedly one of the 5-6 employees on site apostrophes me, making me understand that I am in the field and that I should have brought my coupon, I try to explain my point but then another employee gets involved, a real vendetta! I indicate to remove the free paid sushi and I arrive to pay the remaining bill of $55 and I say to myself no I cant pay to be invested like that. Clearly the employees of this business do not understand the meaning of customer service. It even makes you wonder if they have the slightest social empathy. Should you blame management for this lack of competence? This was definitely the last time for me, stay away from this restaurant unless you want to be treated like cattle

For me we order the day before so that the next day we dont wait in line outside well no you have to wait in line the cashier answers the phone you are freezing outside pass a customer a phone a customer a phone 5 in store it took 35 minutes outside not finished you have to make the line inside, thank you for correcting your orders, pay, dont wait for the others who havent ordered Denis

Lots of errors in orders, half-empty pokebowl bowls (Ive never had this problem elsewhere), poor service.

The sushi is excellent, the employees seem to be doing what they can but after 3 visits to this sushi shop, always the same story. We give you a pick-up time but its not ready when you arrive or there are 25 people waiting too. I think you should take as many orders as possible or give realistic times. I prefer to have my sushi at 8 p.m. than to show up at 6:30 p.m. to finally leave the sushi shop at 7:15 p.m.

But what disappointment? Several ingredients are missing and the bowl is not full. Nothing to do with other sushi shops, its half of what I usually get. 3 pieces of avocado, 4 edamame, 1 salad leaf, almost no rice... Is this a joke? I hesitated before going there after seeing the review. And honestly I should have avoided it like the reviews suggest. When I opened my bowl at home I felt like going back to my car to return the meal and ask for a refund... incomparable compared to the menu and photos of the sushi shop.

UNACCEPTABLE IF YOU CLOSE AT 9PM FRIDAY CLOSE AT 9PM AND NOT EARLIER BECAUSE I DROVE THERE FOR 15MIN FOR NOTHING.

3 online orders refused despite it closing on a Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. Thats 40 minutes of time that I wasted because of their really pitiful app to confirm my pickup time. In the end, I wont get my order, its refused. Last time I used their services.

Poke boils down to a few grams of tuna, a little rice, too much mayo and too much lettuce. It s supposed to be a fresh and light dish, it lacks vegetables! No edamame, no carrots, no mango or avocado, just a few cubes of cucumber. Very disappointing, especially for the price. Its heartbreaking because of the excess of mayo.

If you dont order before, the preparation time is very long for a Tuesday before 5 p.m. And if you really want to eat them, dont take the ready-made ones. Consider picking them up at IGA. Youll pay less for more fees.

Not fresh if you eat pre package sushi

Horror story. I had to cancel my order because the wait time was 1 hour longer than the hour that was expected when paying. (So total delay of 1 hour 45 minutes) Worse, they did not reimburse me despite being promised that it would be done. Worse still, the last time I ordered there, when I got home, the dish ordered was not the one that had been delivered to me. In short, if you order something from Sushi Shop in Varennes, either you will not have the correct dish you ordered, or you will not have your order at all and you will even lose your money altogether. Go to Hamachi Sushi in Boucherville, the sushi is better and they keep their promises.

Première et dernière fois que nous allons manger à cet endroit. Nous avons attendu près de 45 minutes pour 3 poke bowls. Les employés passaient plus de temps à se critiquer lune et lautre quà préparer la commande. Nous regrettons davoir donné un pourboire à cet endroit. Nous préférons le service de chez Maki Maki et nous retournerons à cet endroit pour les prochaines fois, puisquils ne rient pas des clients.

By the way, the Asian employee with dyed gray hair, I think and with a few tattoos, is beautiful but my embarrassment made me leave without telling her. Call to order, 55min wait for a pokebowl and 2 veggie rolls! Okay, you accept. Arriving there the pokebowl is not ready and they made a mistake in the order too! 1h15 Later...1H15 FOR 3 STUFF!!! I don t know who the owner is but let me tell you that the only reason you re still in business is because there s little competition! Plus its not the first time Ive had such crappy service at this branch.

I have been to this restaurant several times. The sushi is always excellent. On the other hand, the waiting time is excessively long. I dont blame the employees (3 including 1 who doesnt seem to know what to do), both girls worked very hard. The problem is in labor management. They are unable to deliver orders within reasonable timeframes. Please consider this suggestion.

I arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes before closing and they refused to serve me because closing was approaching...it was a small order for one person. why close at 8 p.m. if they stop serving people at 7:45 p.m.?

We were refused service because they were closing in 10 minutes. This is disappointing behavior coming from this establishment. So we went to maki maki.

Very good sushi compared to other sushi restaurants in Boucherville (yuzu, bento, sushi palace). Many people are unhappy with the speed of the service.. but for a sushi shop the service is still very fast. Regular customer...always welcoming. Very good service :)

Before going, I consulted on your site what time they closed and to my great surprise, when I arrived, I had the impression that I was disturbing, (it was 8 p.m. and they closed at 9 p.m.) I did not have any made a case and I asked, Do you have any sushi left?, a nice young girl answered me only.......:( Its Saturday evening, it seems to me that sushi can stay fresh for at least 2 days!! What was left was shashimi with sushi but I wanted something else and no one offered to prepare it for me, so I went elsewhere.......I am. a very good customer I go there almost every week, not sure if I will be treated with such indifference, I will go back......:(
