How about giving them more than 5 stars? Good place, relaxing and the food is awesome! 🤩🤩⚡️ Higly recommended 👌
Looks like the place was sold and new owners have really reduced quality. Fried rice was mushy and breaded shrimp were so small they were 90 % batter and 10 % shrimp. It’s unfortunate since there are so few Chinese food restaurants in area.
Ordered from Maison de Chine today for the first and last time. The wonton soup was flavorless, the chicken chow mein tasted only of garlic, the general Tao tasted like fish/seafood, the beef and broccoli tasted like water and egg rolls with only meatballs, no vegetables in them... really not impressed, way too expensive for what it is!!
I’ve ordered here for years. The food quality was always satisfactory. However my last order was terrible. Ribs were all gristle and fat. Wonton soup had no flavor and was cold. Rice had very minimal chicken and practically no other veggies mixed in. Just à poor job all around.
Difficult to rate because some of the items we ordered were good, others were bad and some were somewhere in the middle. Good Wonton soup (Great broth) General Tao (Great sauce, I did not think chicken was dry as in other reviews.) Chicken Fried Rice (Easily best part of the meal) Bad Vegetable Spring rolls (Awfull taste) Hunan Dumplings (Dumplings were soggy and peanut sauce had little flavor) Mediocre Singapore fried curry noodles. (Noodles were good but meat and shrimp were questionable. I prefer my noodles a little more well done than this, also a tad salty but that's Chinese food.) Was hoping this would be the new go to for chinese seeing as it's close by, alas it doesn't seem that way.
Right. What was that? I grew up on Vancouver Chinese food so this was really something else. We placed the order at 2:45pm for pick-up at 6:30pm. Ample time to get it right, right? When we arrived, the food was ready. When we un-boxed the food 5 minutes later at home, the food was cold and soggy. 😳 We live 4 minutes from the restaurant. The shrimp was veined thawed shrimp ring on yellow lettuce? General Tao was mostly batter and dry. There was no beef in neither the Ginger Beef nor the Beef & Broccoli. The noodles tasted like dirty pan. The chicken in the Cantonese Chow Mein lacked chicken & noodles. The steamed rice was fantastic as well as the commercially-packaged fortune cookies lol. I had to reheat, refry and nuke ever.y.thing. We ordered for $134. Ayoye. Most disappointing for my birthday dinner ☹️
You need to order at least an hour and a half in advance to get the food so it’s a very long delay. And then my husband and I got the food and the General Tao chicken was so dry, tasted dry & burnt and the shrimp tasted like they were old. Questionable food quality. Not Fresh or left sitting too long somewhere. We will not be returning.
We have only Ordered food from here twice but both experiences were excellent. The food was delicious and was ready when I arrived to pick it up. I also really like the way they package up their orders to take home. Their prices are also very reasonable. Will definately be ordering from them again!
This was my opinion a few years ago: We loved our meal! Excellent quantity-price ratio! We will return! Now: their food is not what it was. Nothing was edible other than the egg rolls! The rice looked like it had been cooked last week and recooked multiple times! The beef macaroni was overcooked and only tasted like cayenne spice. In fact, nothing tasted like it should have. This place went from my favorite to the most disgusting Ive tasted!!!
Best Chinese food in the whole neighborhood and I would even go so far as to say that nothing even in the West Island can compare! Delighted with every order
*they had very good years for a long period (2005-2020) but the staff and opening hours have changed and it is very deteriorated! I took a chance last week because the restaurant was sold and after 2 minutes 12 seconds of repeating my address and postal code I closed the line!!!
I go once or twice a year to the China House and it was always good. Now it seems to have changed ownership. Today I went there and it was inedible. My brown sauce spareribs were in broth and the wongtong soup tasted watery and they forgot to put the eggrolls in the order. And a tall man with untied buttock hair came out of the kitchen. So I will never go again
Don t order their battered shrimp as they don t clean them and the whole order was filled with poop! Nauseating.
Takeout only.. slow, overpriced, and last order was over cooked after I gave 3 hour notice and they were still late and I had to wait.
Maison de Chine is our go to for Chinese food. When we order it always comes warm packed in a box.
I love this restaurant, always good, there is no better place to eat Chinese
Its good and its really cheap! Im finally eating my hot and sour soup that Ive been craving for a month! Yum
It was always just ok for the most part, as in it filled that hole if you wanted american type chinese food, however the last time we ordered the egg rolls tasted like trash. I dont mean that they were just bad, I mean quite literally like the ingredients inside were all bad. The pineapple chicken was mainly batter and the chicken pieced that you had were full of cartilage if thats even possible. I cant honestly recommend this place anymore as we both got sick that day
Before the pandemic you could order and the food was good. Since then we have tried many times to order: if you call for lunch you are told that there are no orders before 5 p.m. (they have to make egg rolls!!!) and at 5 p.m., if you are lucky, you can order but there is a minimum 2 hour wait!! I called at different times and days to see..IMPOSSIBLE to order! Honestly maybe it s a front !! But now I give up
Schedule incorrect! Called a Saturday at 12:30 got a message that it was closed when schedule says open as of 22 noon
It is impossible to call, too busy
Its the best Chinese Ive eaten. I always have it delivered and its hot when it arrives.
Never tried the food I called and the one who picked up was really rude !
Ordered twice during Covid, and while lately it is tough to be able to place an order due to high demand, the food is always excellent! Price quality is really good, and everything tastes great. Tried other Chinese restaurants around and this is the only one I want to re-order from.
Its good no more for takeout or delivery only
This is really good Chinese food! The kind that you ordered when you were a kid. Ìf you looking for new trendy Chinese this is not your place, but if you want good old fashion recipes, this is great food.
Excellent except often late to pick up order
I have a violent reaction to MSG, and have never been sick when ordering from this restaurant. The food is always perfect, large portions. ENJOY
It seems not opening last time when I reached there.
Tasty soup, thats some good soup Scrumptuous touch with the fried wonton That rice chunky and moist The perfect sesame goop With a sweet and spicy penut butter dumplig
Nice bite I found they put less and less in the plate but it s a nice place food good service is good will repeat for sure
Great chinese food, but the wait for delivery is often quite long so plan ahead.
The food is very good, the reason I give 2 stars is that on Sundays, dont EVEN try to call after 6:00 p.m., because its impossible to get a line, its is still engaged and they dont respond, last time I tried for 40 minutes and still without any responses!
Beautiful with good service
Great place.
Best chinese food in the area, even better than those in the west island. Price is very good too!
Disappointed with general tao Like frozen croquettes with too much dough and little chicken Very good vegetables
Lukewarm meal.....disappointing
Very kind people good abd cheap food
Excellent service!!! You have to order early, a busy restaurant is always a good sign. We always ate very well.
The food was not good. I ordered the Sczechuan combo. The shrimp were cold on a bed of lettuce, They shrimpshould have been cooked in a Sczechuan sauce, The Chinese vegetables werent cooked. The General Ts Chicken was so so. For what we got the whole thing was ridiculously expensive. $40+ tip. It would have still been expensive at half the price
Ordered some garlic shrimp, vegetable noodles and wonton soup for takeout. Was very good and the girl at the front was very nice too!
Food is neither great or bad, not cheap either. Very average. Although the general tao chicken is terrible. Chicken balls with sauce covering a third of the chicken. Theres not many decent Chinese take out in the area, would give it 3 stars if it wasnt for the ridiculous long wait. Even if you go pick it up, you can easily wait 2 hours.
Average Chinese food. I mean there is better, but there is definitely worse. If you want Chinese food, and theres nothing else around, this would be a good spot to pick some up. The chicken soo guy was a bit dry, and the chow mein didnt seem like a traditional chow mein.
We had driven in front of this place a few times and there was always a line in front of it. We had also heard about this place from a co-worker and having moved into the area, we figure we should try it instead of going al the way into the city to pick some up. The gentleman we had lined up beside said that we wouldn t be disappointed so needless to say, we were excited, but MAN was this place disappointing. We had grown up eating good Chinese food and this place unfortunately did not compare. The food is comparable to buffet style Chinese food - it was cold and starchy and not very flavourful. We were told it would take 45 mins to prepare our order which was fine, but when we got there to pick up our food, we waited an additional 40 mins before we received it. Upon receiving our meals we were underwhelmed by the fried rice, which was just soy sauce and rice and, the wonton soup dumplings were bland and starchy (although the broth wasn t too bad! Especially with the crunchy noodles they add on the side!) but the kicker was the chow mein.... there was no noodles?! It was just bean sprouts and your protein. We thought maybe they had made a mistake so we asked and they said that the only chow mein they sell with noodles is the Cantonese one. I wish we would have known, but we didn t realize they d make a completely different dish because we chose a different protein... The lady at the cash seemed really sweet and the restaurant itself seemed really busy, but I think it s mostly because they ve cornered the market in terms of asian food in the area because the nearest place other than there is about 15 mins back by car. Take away? If you re looking hit-the-spot, traditional, family-style Chinese food, you re sadly going to have to trek into the city :(
My regular place. Fairly consistent with quality and portions.
The best Chinese dishes in the region
Great food....!!!!! ......but long wait to get it
Very good
very good service
I only had egg rolls and they were awesome
Great place and the food is good
Correct
Best Chinese
Not a buffet, but excellent take out. We wait a bit for our order, but its fresh and good! Delivery service too.
The soup and egg rolls were great as was the mixed vegetables. The fried rice sou guy and general Tao were super greasy. The general Tao was also over cooked.
First time ordering there. I was really craving some chowmein noodles. I was so disappointed and my craving was not satisfied. They gave me some undercooked chicken with just a bunch of bean sprouts. No noodles. Every other chowmein I have ever ordered had noodles. I dont know what the rest of the food is like but I dont really see myself going back after such a disappointing experience.
My only Chinese food place. Love.
Wow quality food
Not fresh. And for 62$ this is very sad for a restaurant......
delicious good portion very good service nice person
Take out restaurant with good food at good prices. Being the only good chinese shop around, the wait can sometimes become very long. I have seen them run out of food one particular time. The place is worth it but know what youre getting into and call to order early.
Excellent! Ive been there several times and each time it was great! Very affordable price
Good food, free catch
The food is very good. Great to bring. Little room to eat there. The service is warm and courteous.
Good portions, good price and its delicious! Btw I love your deluxe soup :)
Its good
Unfortunately, the food there was tasteless and awful.
Super good! Fresh and very hot food And good price!
First time and not the last fast delivery for a hot and delicious Thanksgiving meal Bravo
General Tao tasted like it had been defrosted with a hint of freezer burn. The eggrolls and spring rolls were good as was the won ton soup. Chow Mein was pretty tasteless.
Nice place!
Good food. Takeout only.
Good food, good portion!
Food and packaging to go is amazing.
Long wait on hold then was advised food would be ready in 50-60 mins. Arrived to pick up simple order 1 hour later and was told they needed another 10-15 mins. Finally received my food after 1 hr and 40 minutes, without apology, explanation, or offer of any sort of discount. I will never allow this place to waste my time again.
Best Chinese spot in vaudreuil. Best singapore noodles in town and fantastic service.
Perfect American Chinese food type place. Reminds me of when I lived in the states. Just good Asian inspired cuisine! Call before and prep your order in advance. I usually call it in the afternoon for pickup in the evening and it s always ready when I show up.
Great place, very good, but often busy ... make sure to call ahead of time.
My husband had to wait there for more than an hour even though I called 45 minutes before he showed up to have my order prepared. It was after this long wait that the employees noticed that another customer had left with my order which they put in a rack at the entrance. Thats the problem, the employee does not check the orders taken from the display by customers. In short, we no longer think of returning to this place that we have been frequenting for ten years, once a month. And the order was not complete either. Melanie
Delicious, quality food
Nice food , fresh
THE place for this style of food in Vaudreuil!
Delicious food and generous portions. We are a family of 4 and when we take for 4 people, we have enough for 2 dinners. I recommend it to everyone!
Great food good prices everything had wonderful flavor as a resistant of cause roil there arent that many good Chinese dining choses.. I dont think I could recommend any better in the area..
Was told it would be a 45 minute wait for pickup, showed up 45 minutes later to the restaurant and waited for over an hour in addition to that. 15 people waiting for over an hour to pick up their order in the cramped waiting room with 6 chairs. Avoid if they say wait is over 30 minutes.
Large portions, great prices and tasty food.
I decided to try that place instead of going at Win Wah in Dorion. WOW! Its AWESOME! ***Pick-up or delivery only*** right beside the 40! The price is good, THE FOOD IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS! YUMMY! Sorry but I will never go back to Win Wah. Period. I decided to try this place, instead of going to Win Wah in Dorion... WOW! *** order for takeout (10% off) or delivery only *** Its right on the edge of the 40. The price is affordable, the food is FRESH AND DELICIOUS! Sorry but, I will NEVER return to Win Wah!
Best food ever. I drive from Toronto for this food.
The owner is rude, the employees are always making out in the front of the restaurant or in their cars, the guy who works the front is playing games on the computer, food is always cold when they deliver it. Not worth your time and money.
