Had my birthday here with 35 people and service was wonderful. The food and portions were quite sizeable. Very good food, would definitely recommend and definitely return.
Excellent Italian restaurant. The food was above what we expected and the staff were great. We were a party of 6 people. I highly recommend going. We know we will be back. Thank you for a great evening.
Amazing staff. Shout out to Brigitte.. for her exceptional hospitality. She makes you as if you are eating at your mother's house🏠 ..... Thank you guys for everything. We enjoyed our meal tonight. 😋
Somewhat underwhelming for an Italian restaurant. I was surprised that bread was not brought to the table prior to the entrée, we had to ask for bread when salad was served. The food was mediocre. Pizza dough was somewhat chewy, implying it was perhaps frozen as some point. The flavour was there, but the dough was a big miss. The veal was good, as well as the sauce. the staff was nice. There are other authentic Italian restaurants/options available. I wouldn't go back.
Good restaurant, have been many times. An adequate portion of food is served, price is reasonable. The fact it's a bring-your-own-wine place is very attractive. I preferred the original location in St. Lazare inside an old house, rather than the new location in the strip mall. Still enjoyable for an evening out to dinner if you're looking for a better culinary experience than the chain restaurants.
I never write reviews. My gigi pasta was terrible. Warmed cubes of grocery store ham steak (not something delicious like pancetta or prosciutto) with what I think were canned mushrooms (zero colour on them) and overcooked, breaking pasta in a so-so sauce. Super disappointing with shockingly bad quality. I would have willingly mentioned my disappointment about the food but I was not asked, which was unfortunate. The eggplant starter was nice and my partner's all you can eat mussels were good enough (the white wine sauce version was better than the boring lemon version). I live close by and will not eat here again.
Amazing experience at this new location. Tasty pizza with spicy olive oil. white wine mussles and pasta with generous portions. Hot bread and bring your own wine to top it off!
One of our favourite local restaurant. Food is great but lately as everything prices have gone way up. We also miss the previous location in an older house but the new place still feels inviting. Service has been consistently great over the years.
Not bad for a small restaurant.
The food was plain and dry Had to change my order because there werent enough and if I wasnt happy to go eat elsewhere Do yourself a favor and do eat elsewhere
not crazy for the price. The water tastes like piss
the carbonara sauce was extremely watery when its supposed to be creamy and the water tastes like piss.
Expensive for so little portions
The food and service at this place is always incredible. They handle groups quite well, too. And BYOB is a plus ;)
Nice service!! Very fast service end amazing food love the place
Good service, very good food, fast end very testi!!
All the dishes in our group were too salty...veal escalope, mussels. Damage!!
Arancini on point.
Restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Bring your own wine. Very noisy grounds. Large parking lot.
Went yesterday with the group of 20. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious as always! Thank you!
Very noisy...but excellent! Kid-friendliness: Yes
New location but great food as usual. Enjoyed birthday party dinner, great service and perfect evening.
Table of 10 the dishes do not all arrive at the same time food ok without more for the price you think it will be fresh pasta but no so the dessert is excellent the rest ordinary as you wish table too close to each other but I think that the biggest blunder is the serving of the meal not at the same time there is a rule in catering the table comes out in full or it does not come out to our table when we all ended up having our plate ah no I was missing a plate so for that reason and the fact that its expensive without being fresh the note thank you
Good food good service
Amazing experience. Held a private party here and all my guests raved about how delicious the food was! The fact that it is a BYOW is a bonus
The service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food was expensive and bland. Can you just imagine spending over $60 for 2 plates of pasta? Do yourself a favour... Pick up pasta, sauce and a bottle of wine, and do the dishes at home instead.
What I like is the dishes are not made in advance and since COVID finally a restaurant that is reasonably priced and very good. Thanks to the cook. Parking: Perfect
Funny how they only show good reviews. This place was terrible, might as well have eaten in a warehouse thats what it felt like. as for the food, awful. ordered a seafood pasta i looked high and low for the seafood, found one shrimp and maybe 10 tiny scallops, sauce was super watery. The other 3 friends of mine also complained about the food. Service was terrible. we are never going back.
We were there for a group party in December and the service, staff and food was amazing!
Great food and Service
Very good, the service also excellent, very disappointed that there were no drinks, our evening ended a little earlier otherwise we would have had small coffees and digestives My apart from its good Disappointed to see that if you dont drink wine or beer you are a little limited the table next to us had sangria in a can and was accepted Im for a cold and coke not accepted yet you bought their liqueur you should be allowed to add your rum
So delicious. The food is always amazing
I would like when we pay in money not to ask if it is complete, because it makes us uncomfortable and out of annoyance I gave a lot more than I wanted...
Amazing food (tried the pasta, calamari and portobello) and service!
Really excellent, still a little expensive, but when its good, it goes well. Its a bring your own wine restaurant, its a plus, especially for the bill, I gave it 4 stars for the atmosphere, maybe because of the place and the exterior we dont expect to this dining cavity at the first sight of the place. But if you like pasta and mussels, then you have to go.
Great attention to detail. Excellent food, prepared with care by a true chef.
Bad service- waited very long for sever to come and then again waited for her to open our wine- when she finally did she didn t even pour the first glass. Food was mediocre and salty. Had to ask another server for assistance and for bill. Very limited plant based options. We were quite disappointed I was hoping for a much better experience. On a good note the bruschetta was very well done and served in a great smart manner. Vegetarian options: Very limited plant based options which is too bad. Server still offered Parmesan and brought us butter even after we told her twice that we are plant based what a waste of that butter. Unfortunate. A little more care and attention to detail would be appreciated and beneficial.
Very good value for money.
Dropped by for a meal on the tail end of our road trip and we were not disappointed. Friendly service, great food. Our waitress(cant remember her name) described the entire menu for us in detail and didnt miss with any of the recommendations. If we are ever in this area again, if will be on our list of places to eat.
Scallops and the shrimp were wonderful, loved the live music and all around service was great. I will be returning for sure
Weve been here a couple of times before. Food used to be great! NOT ANY MORE! Something changed. Quality and quantity of food changed for the worst. Veal was hard and no taste. 3 small pieces when we used to get 5-6. Pizza was horrible. DRY... BURNT... SMOTHERED WITH SAUCE. The sauces: bolognese... Bland. Tomato sauce... Bland Bruschetta had no taste. Really, really disappointed. Very expensive and quality down. Its very unfortunate.
Everything was great from start to finish
Ok but not great. I had lunch there and took the mussels with mustard sauce on the table dhôte. The sauce had too much salt, pretty much covering the other flavors of the sauce and the taste of the mussels themselves. Also, note that if you take the table dhôte, you forgo the fries that usually accompany the mussels for a salad/soup.
We enjoyed our entire meal until the last drop. Very. Good, excellent service from Brigitte and it s a bring your own wine
Great family place and BYOW. Recommend the Santa Barbara and Gigi pasta. Food
We were pleasantly surprised when we visited for dinner, based on our neighbour s recommendation. We loved the soup (minestrone) and the main courses ( linguini with shrimp and veal pomodoro). But next time we ll skip the antipasti course. Our server, Chloe, was very attentive and always made sure we were well looked after. Pricing was reasonable especially since it s a bring your own wine restaurant.
A perennial favpurite of mine for more than a decade. Their new location is ideally situated right at the Hudson exit off Hwy 40 and when we showed up for a birthday party with 26 guests they easily managed everyone on the reservation and there was not one peep of a complaint from any of them...and you know how catty people can be. The food was hot, delicious, and (especially these days), affordable. I had a linguini off the table dhote that came with bread, soup, dessert and coffee and my after tax bill was $46. Not bad for fine cuisine. Highly recommended and we will continue coming back every chance we get.
Good food, good portion, good service.
Restaurant that surfs on a good reputation. It was full, which is a good sign. During a birthday, there were 8 of us. Which allowed us to taste and see a good variety of dishes. Beautiful decor but noisy. The service is good. We can bring our own wine. The menu is varied and complex for a small brigade and without photos which leaves a lot of room for imagination and disappointment. The prices are no problem. The gratinated Portobello mushroom starter was extremely salty: 2/10 The experience continues with a pizza (bread dough) with good cooking. The sauce lacked punch and was sprinkled with dried oregano. Its not worth the detour! The neutral-tasting mussel dish lacked generosity. Impossible to enhance with broth. At our table, the best dishes were the breaded cheese bell, veal and pasta as well as the fish of the day. The desserts were attractive and good.
We will return soon. The dishes are excellent and the portions perfect. The price is reasonable and we bring our own wine. Vegetarian options: Good choice
Pizza Margherita was a Napolitano. Mussels Marina were definitely not Marina. Waitress actually asked us rudely what were in these two dishes. We were 7. 50% of food choices werent what we received. Good ceasar salad. Good lasagna. No grace on the bill with the not so wonderful dishes. Disappointing
1st time for me, it was good. The arancini arrived frozen inside so we told him to put it in the microwave because we didnt really have time to wait for another one.
Decent Italian food.
Great food ¡
We discovered this restaurant for the first time for Valentines Day. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products, the tasty meals and the very good service even though there were a lot of people. Thank you William for your impeccable service. We will go back there for sure.
Excellent food and service
Another great experience. The food is always excellent. The ambiance is rustic. Despite the recent challenges, the service still excellent.
Terrific food, good service lovely atmosphere.
Good food and good service. We were 3 couples.
Mussels were great, Isabel provided excellent service with a smile
Service and food was excellent
Fantastic! Great portions! Friendly staff !
Great staff, great food and its BRING YOUR OWN VINO!!
Great food. Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. We have been going to Il Tesoro for years in St. Lazare, unfortunately interrupted by the pandemic. Their new restaurant features old favourites as well as some new items.
Staff : Our waitress was personable, funny and efficient! Appetizer: Calamari was good Food . (only cause half star emotion doesnt exist) We were a table of 5 . I had white wine mussels that had zero flavor and were filled with sand. Sent it back. The 4 others at my table had pasta and it was agreed that every dish had zero flavor . Very blan. Considering a plate of pasta is $25+ thats unacceptable. I have never left a bad review for a resto in my life but this was so beyond awful I felt the need to share. Sorry Il Tesoro , but you need to step it up big time . Im giving it one based on the fact that pasta shouldnt cost $25 and have no flavor .
Terrible service, we waited 2 hrs for our meal and finally told the waitress to cancel our order. We left without eating.
I had never been to the restaurant before and I had organized my moms 80th birthday there. Wow service was great and the food was outstanding! Thank you to the staff.
Beautiful atmosphere and we had a great experience in this restaurant! Our server Chloe gave us amazing service and the food was exquisite and delicious
Superb veal, perfect mussels. Their tomato pasta, we are in Italy!
Tuesday & Wednesday All-you-can-eat mussels with a great choice of varieties. Its always good!
Good food & good service... friendly
This restaurant is a little bit on the expensive side but very high quality. I had the goat cheese pizza, for takeout, was delicious and not too heavy (thin crust). Others had the penne alla vodka, which was apparently very good as well.
Excellent food, nice atmosphere, attentive staff, say hi to Kenny and Cami...
Great food excellent service .extra personal very pleasant thank you
1st time here and I loved it ! Would absolutely go back. Great food and staff ! Lots of menu options. Calamari recommended was amazing and the shrimp pasta dish was also very good, huge portion! (leftovers ) Dessert and cappuccino to finish was also great !
Excellent food , excellent service bring your own wine as well .. highly recommend
Everything Good
DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE - I booked a reservation online for my wifes birthday. I never got a confirmation either by email or by phone call. When I decided to call back the next day to see what was going on, they told me too bad, you should have called to reserve and now we don;t have a spot for you. Terrible customer service and not much compasion for their mistake. Too bad for them, I spent 175$ eating at another restaurant and will never go back to this place.
Not good service very slow
Excellent as always food delicious and great service!
Pizza is absolutely garbage. Have they tried it themselves before putting it on the menu?? Shame
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent meal.
We drove all the way to the restaurant for 25 minutes and it was worth the trip. A very fine Italian restaurant with very good service. I had bistecca which was excellent.
The food was very good. However, the quality of service left something to be desired at certain levels.
Wonderful food, great service, nice warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended...
Very long to get served but good food
Located in an old house, full of charm. The dishes are delicious. Beautiful atmosphere!
Superb restaurant...bring your own wine
Very good, the chef is a cordon bleu, all the dishes are excellent, for me its a 5 star! The Valentines Day menu was excellent
Loved it so much, excellent food and great service. Thank you so much.
Excellent dishes and excellent service! Great place for a one-on-one time with my big daughter! THANKS!
Good place for receptions
Always tasty. A pleasure!
My favorite restaurant in Saint-Lazare, the pasta is delicious! A plus for the bring your own wine option!
Delicious food, amazing service and very thorough with the new covid regulations! Perfect place for a quality meal without worrying about this new harsh reality we are all facing.
Super good restaurant and very well served.
Food is good, but far too expensive. 12 oz New York steak, comes with a tiny little basket of fries, thats IT. Plus one small Cesar salad, and one Fettuccini with veggies in a white wine sauce. And one small piece of chocolate cake. 107$ after tip. Remember its BYOB. I also ordered a take out lasagna for my kid. The smallest portion I have ever seen in a restaurant, comes with nothing else, $26. It was my first time there, it was also my last. It didnt start off well at all. COMPLETELY empty restaurant, I get seated nowhere near a window, or anything. We were placed next to a wall that had the advertisement for their all you can eat mussels (Tuesdays and Wednesdays I believe). Place was completely empty until a couple walked in with a kid and was seated right away by a window. Like I said the food was good, I cant fault them for that, but its definitely not worth the price they ask. Not impressed at all. The reviews were good, but obviously far too generous.
Delicious meals with a great deal if you get the family size. We all enjoyed our diner and now I dont need to cook tomorrow ( you get six portion for only double the price of a usual plate )
Always delicious
Very good service, the dishes are ok, nothing more.
This will be twice now that I have been here. The first and the last time. Food is average to poor. Of 6 plates served at best 1 was considered good. Much better choice is in Vaudreuil. Trattoria Lanni is always good.
Relaxed atmosphere. Service ok in general except for the fact that the dim lights increased in intensity after 10:00 p.m. and then the waitress started to turn off the decorative lights in the restaurant. A beautiful invitation to kindly leave. Its very cavalier. However, the website does not display a closing time, only an opening time. We have the right to expect to be able to stretch out the evening a little and chat, especially on a Friday evening. In addition, the price paid for the meal is much too expensive for the size of the portions, the table dhôte that we are sold is without presenting the completely exorbitant price (addition of $16 on the already expensive price of the meal) in addition to not specifying that dessert is required. In short, a good time spent with friends but unfortunately cut short by a staff who did not understand that when you pay $130 with tip for two people, without alcohol because its a BYOB, we have the right to expect a WoW customer experience all the way!
Long service and lack of professionalism
Excellent meal. Warm and courteous service. First choice for an unforgettable evening.
A very nice local restaurant in Saint Lazare. A converted home, it has a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The food has always been very good each time we go. You may bring your own wine and they will serve from an ice bucket if you wish. Although a bit expensive, the food and atmosphere make it a worthwhile trip. Table service has almost always been quite good. I suggest calling ahead for reservations on Friday or Saturday. Highly recommended.
Succulent
Excellent service. I was expecting more food for the price though.
Very good meal and excellent service
TO AVOID.
Very good I liked it
Best calamari weve ever had
Great food to accompany your bring your own wine
What to say the good was excellent, very tasty. Staff were really friendly and funny. Hesitated and almost gave 4 because of noise, but its an old building with ambiance inside.
Excellent food and very good service. The waitress very nice and good sense of humor.
Reasonable prices, good food & bring your own wine.
The food is delicious, the menu is varied and the service is excellent. We can bring our wine there. What more could you ask for!
Excellent
Good food decent price
Too expensive
Very disappointing
Good service, at first the waitress was in a hurry. We liked the food. Subsequently, good service, good food and satisfied with the service. Its good and pleasant. Quite expensive.
I really liked bringing your wine
Once a year in December. Always satisfied!
Tresagreables
When the menu states that your dish has fresh tomatoes, you should not have to search for 4 small pieces of tomatoes at the bottom of your bowl; sorry, the Provençal mussels did not make the cut for me. Partners veal was ok, nothing more.
Good food but a little pricy
Love this restaurant. Food is exceptional & innovative! Best place to go for any occasion!!
Food very salty and peppery, frozen dough surely reheat in the microwave. Responsible pricing for mediocre food. The waitress came to see us to take our order and gave the check, there were 3 of us couples in the restaurant...
Great muscles on Wed night very nice
The food is excellent the service and staff is super will definitely go back
Great place! Bring your own wine
Unparalleled culinary experience.
A must eat. Kenny will come from the kitchen and visit you at you table. Delicious food. Alfredo is amazing as well as the veal. Mussles if you are a fan.
Excellent, fast service and nice atmosphere
The food is good, the all you can eat clams are recommended...
Excellent food professional staff! We are going back!
Always delicious and great service
Good pleasant great service by Jade
Nice welcome. Good service. Good food.
BYO variety of stuff on the menu..
Extra mussels
Staff is great! Very kind and patient with kids! Food is excellent
we ordered at 7:20 p.m. and received our meal at 9:10 p.m. Lots of service too long... The waitress didn t come to offer us water or bread
Very cozy place, clean, nice environment, delicious food, prices are reasonable due is a gourmet food. Very tasty food. Excellent plates presentation and great service. You can bring your own wine.
Very nice restaurant and good food!
Food was ok. Service was slow. Too loud.
Quaint atmosphere, staff are friendly however food is good but overpriced. The restaurant hikes food prices since its a bring your own wine. Pasta prices are quite high fettuccine gigi $21.95??? It was average but it was pasta after all. A party of 7, 5 thought it was average food and A few thought it wasnt great. Will pass next time. Menu on website doesnt include prices?????
We returned to the IlTesoro restaurant and like last time the food was very good, and the service as well.
Incredible service. Relaxed atmosphere and affordable price.
Bon restaurant
Amazing flavors
Great food!
Wednesday, mussel all you can eat.......... it takes 30 minutes between each serving......... A small bowl each time. If you like mussel all you can eat do not go there Fettucini Alfredo, bricks of noodles stuck togethers Over rated if you know what cooking is all about. I will make sure all my acquaintance avoid this place. The best part of the meal was the bottle we bought.
A hidden gem
Very good mold table dhôte. However, the coffee was not very good..
Great place, super atmosphere. Weds night all you can eat mussels. Delicious.
Delicious Italian cuisine, in a charming local venue. Bring Your Own Wine keeps the evening affordable. Good customer service but can be noisy at times due to the small rooms, particularly on weekend nights. Dont forget to reserve.
A fiasco from start to finish. There was a group of us and it took them 45 minutes to take orders. Another 45 minutes before serving the starters. Almost an hour before having the main course. Plates are not served at the same time. We are not served any other water. We wait forever for dessert. The only good thing was the steak. It was very tender and well prepared. At $50 a plate I wouldnt have expected anything less. In short, it was my first experience in this restaurant and it will definitely be my last. Service is poor quality at the price of restaurants that serve fine cuisine. The people who manage this restaurant will have to review their practice.
Good food, bring your own wine friendly and good service. Way too expensive for the portions given. We were all still hungry, even after the table dhôte.
Very good service but long wait for the dishes and especially lack of steak???
Great food & price. Nice ambience.
Great experience!
