Last October 6, my daughter made a reservation for 4 people to celebrate 2 birthdays, mine and her fathers - Saturday October 26, arriving at the restaurant barely seated at the table, the waiter who welcomed us informed us that we will have to vacate the table by 7:40 p.m. because there is a 2nd service the same evening which requires the table we occupy. We had to repeat it because we did not understand the message (less than 2 hours to have our meal?). Since I was invited, I didn t want to make a wave as they say. We were offered to finish our meal on the terrace although it was heated (evening at approx. 5 degrees) - was not interesting: was not our choice! What is this way of treating customers? Am speechless. Why not warn of this constraint??? In terms of value for money, it doesnt live up to the praise Ive read in the reviews. A suggestion, at the price you charge for your dishes, would it be possible to offer a few pieces of bread and butter to your customers without it being an extra? To finish, the music was way too loud in the small room where we ate.

SAND in the mussels is terrible no matter the cook knows how to clean the mussels no look on Google its the first time this has happened to us we went there often and during the pandemic we ordered often for fear that the restaurant will close permanently, even though its a mussel factory, Im so disgusted I think Ill never eat mussels again in my life.

My partner and I went there last Saturday. The meal was excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that the menu changes every 2 months. What a joy to know that we dont have time to get tired of a regular menu! We cant wait to go back! To try!!!!!!

Another amazing meal by chef Stéphane! We were eager to try out the new November-December menu, and we weren t disappointed. I had the salmon tartare, duo of deer and duck breast, and crème brûlée. Hubby had the beef baluchon, lamb risotto, and poached pear feuilleté. All of it excellent, served in the most cordial way, at a perfect pace, for another wonderful evening. We love that we can bring our own wine too! This is a real gem.

Each time we visit, everything is perfect! The food is very refined, and the Bring your own wine concept is even more appreciated. Blue cheese mussels and fries are a delight! However, we would have liked to have finger rinses to dry our hands. Welcoming staff. We came for a tartare, but it turns out that there is only one as a starter, very good in fact. Dont forget to bring your wine. The terrace is pleasant but its proximity to the road makes the experience a little noisy. Parking: Parking available but quite small.

Went there several times because I enjoy the food, but always find the service bad. The servers seem inexperienced , one of the girls is dressed like she works in a bar. They always rushed but somehow the service is slow. They ask you if you want sparkling water or regular water but don t inform you that there is a cost for sparkling (ended up paying 10$ for sparkling water).Server took the liberty to add himself 20% tip before handing us the machine (how about you let me decide how I found your service)Went recently for my birthday and don t think on returning anytime soon.

I loved the place, food & service. I gave 4 star to atmosphere simply because the dining room where we were was small which made the conversation noise level quite high at times.

The food was wonderful, especially under the circumstances. There was no power due to Flooding. The catering staff must have really worked hard to produce such great food under the circumstances of no electricity. And the serving staff to serve all those meals in the dark. Thank you.

For my fathers birthday, there were 6 of us on the terrace and everything was excellent! The attentive service from Alexandre, our server, the braised beef risotto, the coconut-curry mussels (finally back!!), the salmon/shrimp fritters and the succulent crème brûlée with fleur de sel caramel...yum!

Yesterday, I took my spouse to your restaurant with the expectation of enjoying a nice, relaxing evening. Unfortunately, our experience was far from relaxing. I have never felt so rushed through a meal as I did yesterday. It seemed like your staff was in a competition to see who could clear tables the fastest. While the food itself was good, the hurried and inattentive service was unacceptable to us. We felt like leaving halfway through our meal due to the lack of a leisurely dining atmosphere we had hoped for. Based solely on the customer service we received, I regret to say that we will not be returning to your establishment.

Absolutely delicious! Chef Boudreault impressed us a lot. Very kind and efficient staff.

We recently had dinner on the terrace. The service and quality were certainly top-notch. I tasted several of the dishes which were served at our table and everything was EXCELLENT. My favourites were the beef-stuffed ravioli and the venison medallion. The scallops were delicious, and what can I say about the stuffed portobello... WOW. Top-notch food, served without pretension, by an amazing team. I highly recommend it.

Charleville is my favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. The time between the different services is very good and we do not feel rushed. I cant wait to go back!

Went for dinner last night with my wife and it was fantastic. We had the smoked salmon followed by filet mignon and mussels in a Roquefort sauce. Amazing can t wait to go back.

Fine dining at its best in the region. Authentic and original dishes, Michelin stars quality, I have never been disappointed! Refreshing to eat dishes when you dont really know what to expect and having an explosion of deliciousness take over your pallet. Warm family-like atmosphere, Bring your wine resto which helps keep the bill reasonable, I have been multiple time and looking forward to my next visit! Great job Charleville!

My partner and I have been here twice and loved both experiences. They change the menu every few months and the chef uses local ingredients in the dishes which are fresh & delicious. I love that its a bring your own wine too. Additionally, the staff is so kind and professional. Weve left this resto very happy :)

One of the best restaurants in the area. Bonus is its a BYOB. Service is top notch A-1. Food is divine . The filet mignon is to die for.

During the holiday season for a dinner. The menu is quite expensive (between $63 and $71) but it includes 4 courses: Entrance Norman hole Flat Dessert and coffee It s BYOB. First the starter of beet salad served hot was very interesting with cubes of fried goat cheese. The Normandy hole was quite hard and didnt taste much. My flank steak was really excellent but the waitress had praised the merits of the grill for its always impeccable cooking, but I had asked for medium rare and I got medium. On the other hand, in terms of taste it was super good. The dessert I chose (cheesecake, berries and white chocolate) would have benefited from being more balanced and less sweet. I didnt eat it all. On the other hand, my husbands crème brûlée was excellent. For the service it was good, but the restaurant was at full capacity during Christmas parties so perhaps less attentive than one might expect. All in all, a lovely evening

I planned a surprise party for my partner at the Charleville. The communication with the staff, the arrangement of the room, the service, everything was perfect. Despite the size of the group, 34 people, everyone was served in a very reasonable time, with no long delay between courses and the food was excellent. Thank you to the whole team for contributing to the success of my surprise!

An amazing dinner. We sat outside and had the most attentive and fantastic service from Coralie and Catherine. These 2 gals didn t stop for one second. The food was flavourful, delicious, and plentiful. I highly recommend.

Just came back from this restaurant and couldn t wait to praise! We were greeted and served by Catherine, who was absolutely wonderful! I mentioned a peppercorn allergy and she and the chef created a tasteful twist in my salmon tartare as well as my filet mignon main dish! We loved our experience and will definitely go back!

Very good restaurant I recommend it everything is perfect price quality

I dont understand the other comments praising this restaurant. The waitress who is also the chefs wife would be more at home in a bar than in a restaurant where the price for 2 people cost me $160. Luckily I brought my wine. Filet mignon contained about 35% fat. In other words, the muscle has not been cleaned so you pay top dollar but not the quality. When my partner complained to the waitress, she decided that the complaint was not made in the right tone. Rather than report it to the chief she disappeared. We left the dessert and coffee included without taking them but were charged as if we had taken them. Draw your own conclusions. For us it s the 2nd time in 10 years and it s the last time.

Excellent restaurant. Waitress of extraordinary kindness and very attentive (like the other waitresses who came to inquire about our satisfaction). Remarkable and fine food such as, for example, the edible flowers accompanying the starter and the main meal. Simple and diverse menu. Fast and efficient service despite the fairly busy terrace. No extra charge to my bill although the waitress offered me two small slices of toasted walnut bread with my cheese plate which included a blue cheese at my request. Although the cost of the meal is a little high despite the fact that it is a bring your own wine (we are here in the restaurant business.....) I absolutely do not regret this expense. Food was good. But the service was slow at the end probably due to a shortage of staff. After our main course we waited half an hour for our dessert and coffee. Coffee was cold and we had to ask for spoons to stir. We also asked for more cream which we never got. . Atmosphere

Nice little restaurant. Good French type food. Correct portion, 4-course menu, bring your own wine. Friendly atmosphere, inside the seating plan is quite tight. Otherwise the service is great, a nice menu.

Had a big birthday celebration. Probably our 5th time here, and it was one of our best experiences. Food was excellent, though on the pricey side. Our waiter Alexandre, was outstanding. For such a big (and probably obnoxious) group, he was amazing. Would highly recommend.

The food didnt impress me, the terrace wasnt too solid...shaky and the cherries on Sunday the waiter who lowered it was a competitor, thats when I understood that I wouldnt go back there again.

We chose this restaurant for our wedding and I want to say Wowww!!! It was so good, refined, delicate. The quality of the dishes served surprised all the guests. We felt very welcome, the waitresses were very attentive to us. Thanks again. We had nothing but compliments to share with the chef. This restaurant was unanimously appreciated by our guests.

My meal cost 57$ i recieved 4 baby scallops the plate was unacceptable. Made a commemt, waitress agreed it was acceptable and nothing was done about it. Its too bad i will never return.

We have wanted to try Charleville for a long time and this evening we celebrated our wedding anniversary. They offer a 4-course table dhôte menu and what we chose was delicious. The service is courteous and the waitresses are attentive to the needs of customers. Everything was Perfect!

The food was SO GOOD! Portions were a bit small but nobody was left hungry so it was fine. Bring your own wine is a nice option. I had the salmon tartar (fabulous), filet mignon (so tender and juicy, the roasted veggies that came with it were amazing) and for dessert I had the blueberry cheesecake which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I cant wait for the menu to change so we can go back and try something new! I love the atmosphere. It has a great romantic feel to it. We never felt rushed. The pace was perfect to enjoy your company.

Portions where small. Food wasnt that great. The mashed potatoes had the biggest uncooked chunks of onions I gagged. The sword fish had a weird taste. The outside terrasse is so dirty and outdated. I had spiders coming down on their cobwebs on to my table... Not sure what all the hype is with this place

Beautiful restaurant, however very little space between tables, not very intimate. Average service, aimed at only one person at the table. Food ok. Given the price we would have expected a slightly more filling plate, however the fish was cooked to perfection. Ordinary dessert, it felt like an IGA dessert.

Excellent, quality and well prepared food served over several courses. A BYOW place. The food is original and prepared with care. Excellent value for money. A restaurant of this category should change utensils between courses instead of removing them from the plate and putting them on the side to be used for the next service or have tge customer request it. The tables are too close together removing the possibility of having an intimate dinner.

We went to Charleville for our wedding reception dinner and the treatment we received was simply wonderful! Amazing service! It made our day even more special! And what about the food, everyone was satisfied and had a great time! It was our favorite restaurant and we introduced it to our guests who fully intend to return! Thanks again for everything!

Excellent tasting food and charming atmosphere. Only one waitress for a Thursday night. She did a marvelous job but it could have been an even better experience had she been able to talk to us a bit more. As it was she was very busy but handling it well.

A meal that lasted 3 hours 30 minutes before seeing a waitress to open our bottle of wine and get a glass of water. Another 20 minutes before coming to take our order. First contact: I hope you didnt come to eat mussels! Exactly, yes we came to eat mussels because your restaurant is known for its mussels. As it was already late due to the slow service, we stayed.... What to get when the other choices are $20 more? A rabbit parmentier for my husband, period. Very small portion without vegetables... For my part, I had a hybrid meal since I dont eat meat. I like shrimp, but they missed that too. I really liked the scallops in the end, but I dont understand anything about their stock management. Then until the end of the meal, the service dragged on. We even had the chance to eat the entire basket of bread... Couples who arrived well after us left well before us. The table service was also deficient in my opinion. We expect at least eye contact and a smile when our food is brought to us. In short, the food was good, but I suggest you reserve your mussels by phone in advance and choose inside the restaurant. It felt like a race track on the terrace on Friday evening. This is constructive criticism.

Very rude ! Reservation was at 5 pm and we got there at 4:51pm and they made us wait in the parking lot saying that it was their time to relax. Once they allowed us in they were really rude and the food wasnt really good. VERY disappointed! Will not go back there. If youre planning on going be prepared for the attitude!

Ive riden my bike by this attractive restaurant for years and finally convinced my wife to go. And, I was not surprised that the food and service were as excellent as charming the restaurant looks. We ate inside, where the decor and ambiance really make you feel like you are in a Belgian country inn. You can also eat on a very spacious outdoor terrace. My entree was bison tartar and my main was oysters in a coconut milk sauce. My mother had escargot followed by an incredible filet mignon. Impeccable dishes and the portions are very generous. This is why we visit restaurants, right? Because there is no way you can make food taste this good at home. This is fine dining without all the fuss and pretence. Excellent service with the exact amount of time between courses. I had a lime tarte for dessert and my mother had a caramel cheesecake. There are gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu and they are well indicated. And, the other bonus; bring your own wine and beer. 5 people had 3 course meals and coffees for less than $300 including a generous tip. Great value.

What a great food experience! Menu had several distinct dishes that we can not find elsewhere. We enjoy tasting different cuisines and what a change it was. Even if we live 300 km from here we will be dinning here the next time we are in this area.
