Had dinner here on a Saturday night. We arrived and it took 10 minutes to be acknowledged and then seated as there is no formal hostess. Once we sat down the table stank like cleaning products. The food was underwhelming and was majority overcooked white rice. The drinks were good. The lava cake was admittedly microwaved on high for 2 minutes and it tasted like it immediately after we took our first bite. Really disappointing. The restaurant is well decorated and visually pleasing but the vibe is completely missing and is really more of a family restaurant than anything. I will not return.
The only thing was i had requested a birthday cake when i made my reservations, never heard anything, I advised the hostess (male), he said ok yes we will bring you the cake and it is no charge (I didn't know that , and thank you for that! very nice of Sesame), however the waitress did not know this, she did know that we were celebrating our birthdays. So she asked if we wanted dessert. We reminded her it was our birthdays and i had spoken to the hostess.
So nice. Loved the atmosphere. It was a total vibe. Clean & comfortable. The staff were all fast and kind. The server of our table was especially nice. This place made up for another place we had gone to earlier in the day big time. So glad we decided to stop for lunch here. Definitely recommend the tasting menu. My fave thing here was the papaya salad. It’s a must on this menu. The mocktails are also so pretty and actual mocktails. Not just random mojitos. Get the oranji, it comes with this incredible mochi. Highly recommend it.
First time customer... Went with my family to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. I was so happy we chose Sesame. She's a Vegan and their choices were amazing. The atmosphere is so perfect and quaint. The host and waitress were both amazingly pleasant and fully on point. If there were 20 stars, I'd hit them all. Thank you for a great night, I'll be seeing you all again for sure.
This is such a beautiful restaurant. Amazing decor and cozy seats . Beautiful bar area. I shared the dumpling taster and it was out of this world!! I don't think I have ever had a chicken dumplings I liked before now We then reordered the shrimp dumplings and shared some sake Really great service. We were not rushed. Our waitress was amazing and really helpful The keylime pie is super tasty too
North American types of Asian food. The small wonton soup ($6) has only 3 wontons in it; a bit salty for my taste. The fried chicken main dish comes with 2 pieces of fried chicken, and a small papaya salad, it was tasty, but not Asian flavored. Cute and cozy decor; super comfy chairs.
Came back for a second time. Food was delicious and the lady that served us had such a nice energy! Good ambiance and trendy. Food was flavourful and portion were just ok. I had the salmon tartar and was pleased. I recommend
Where to begin? The dining area of the restaurant seemed cozy and well furnished, with a nice little bar in the middle. Upon looking at the menu, at first, I felt like the prices were elevated. However, this is more a result of the state of the economy and not so much overcharging. More on this later. The food was, in all honesty, incredible. I ordered the karaage chicken, a Japanese style fried chicken. It came with a papaya salad, and I ordered an extra side of pork dumplings, all as take-out. Everything tasted excellent and fresh. I felt I could pick out all the nuanced flavors, and nothing was overpowered by another flavor. The chicken was probably the best fried chicken I have ever eaten, period. It paired well with the included spicy mayo. The papaya salad was also delicious, providing gentle sweetness with an occasional bite of spice. The pork dumplings were perfect and came with a soya style dipping sauce. At first glance, I thought the portion was very small, especially considering the price I paid, which was about $32. However, after I finished my meal, I realized that this price was not for nothing. The ingredients felt and tasted fresh, natural, and wholesome. I was perfectly full: satisfied, but not bloated. I think, as a culture, we are far too accustomed to receiving enormous quantities of food and feeling nearly sick after eating it all. This was not the case here. Yes, I could have eaten more, but I felt like what I had was the perfect amount. In terms of service, I have no complaints. The lady who dealt with me at the front, presumably the manager, was very warm, friendly, and professional. I will definitely go back another time and take a table to explore the menu further. In summary, if you're looking for something new to try, I highly recommend this newly opened restaurant for the delicious, fresh food!
Ambience perfect. Cleanliness, and service great. Food, delicious. Our second visit and there will surely be more.
Parking: Plenty of parking, if not near the restaurant, there are still plenty of options available around! Food
We loved it thank you A lovely girl s evening
3rd time the food is excellent as is the service. The waitresses and the young man at reception are super welcoming and friendly while being very professional. One of my favorite restaurants
Fantastic restaurant. Been there a few times. Food is fantastic. Great service and great ambiance. Would highly recommend. Awsome soups as well. A++++
I had a reservation for 6:30 p.m. and they accepted one. Good 15 minutes in advance, the welcome was courteous and pleasant, although the table where we were was next to the entrance door I should have asked for a bench or table at the back where it was more intimate, detail that I overlooked when making my reservation. The tables are pleasant and the armchairs are padded so you are quite comfortable when seated, The waitress was nice and gave us good service, we had questions and answered us accurately, the food was delicious for me general tao and rice with vegetables in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce, it was exquisite! Beautiful large pieces, a large deep bowl with a generous portion, shrimp in starters and imperial rolls, well flaky and delicious shrimp tempura, I had a wongton soup which was very pleasant to look at and delicious, all the dishes were pretty to look at and inviting for drinks my wife had a pink slush style drink which was delicious a pink which includes kamouraska lemon vodka strawberry puree, I recommend this drink, for my part a very high quality sake which was silky and at the right temperature, note by the way my wife took the small dish on the menu which she really appreciated, for the bill I paid $140 and I gave $18 tip for the excellent service is approximately total cost $180 for one exquisite dinner in a beautiful atmosphere and beautiful decor. I remove a star because the places at the front near the entrance do not Its not recommended, for the rest we will definitely return and I RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT Kid-friendliness: Yes, smaller portion menu Wheelchair accessibility: Yes 1st floor
Went again on Saturday nov 30 as we love this restaurant and we I really liked our server! We were sitting in the first booth- food is amazing of course - love the different version of the margarita!

This place sucks!! Horrible food(microwaved lava cake, bland general tao, mostly pepper papaya salad, just bad) horrible service (waiter in a hurry for no reason), atmospehere was so bland and the place smelled like dirty mop
Great welcome and service from the server. Parking: Many places available
Great service. Poutine General Tao excellent!
Fantastic!!! The tom yum soup is the best I have eaten so far and the soft chocolate cake is perfectly balanced!!! Well done!
Food wasnt it. Vegetable were very soggy, meat wasnt so great. Drinks also where a bit disappointing. However ambiance was nice and service too.
Food was top notch and service to match.
Great little place, drinks and food were delicious We were there last Wednesday and the waitress whom I don t know her name was so sweet !! Great service, can t wait to go back !
What a charming and cozy lunch spot. I very much enjoyed both the Papaya salad and Tuna/Salmon Poke. The bathroom was super elegant.
Absolutely delicious amazing food. Wonderful atmosphere. Delicious Sake tasting. Great spot for a date night or a cocktail with friends!
The food was not good, it was not authentic asian cuisine. The dumplings were frozen, the general tao was basically a chicken nugget covered in sauce, the thai beef curry tasted like It was made from beef bouillon and water, my soup my cold. over all not good food, not worth the price
Very nice experience. We are already looking forward to going back to try more things on the menu. The service was excellent too!!
I visited this restaurant on Saturday October 5 and I was pleasantly served by the quality of these dishes. I had a guest from world renowned singer Zale Seck to receive on Wednesday and I decided to invite him to Sesame. The welcome, the courteous service, the food everything was in place for a pleasant culinary experience. Thanks to the owner who, despite her busy schedule, took the time to greet us. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Ginette and Zale Parking: Opposite the restaurant, so in case of rain you get inside quickly.
My son loves your food and we ourselves order it occasionally as well. Tonight my son has a friend over and we tried to place an order for take out: two kid meals. We were told over the phone that to be able to order this we would need to order an adult meal as well. This came from the manager on duty tonight. Conclusion: you lost a customer forever!
Edited to add: I responded to the management response right away and they have yet to make it right as they said. Soooo crap experience start to finish. I saw all these amazing reviews and made a big order of off Uber just to be disappointed on every. Single. Dish. The overreaching theme of everything we ordered was that they were thrown together quickly with no thought for flavour or quality. $8 for a mixed vegetable dish that was only half full and was so poorly seasoned that I had to throw them out. Both the main dishes of pad Thai and pad sew were both also not full portions and the flavours were underwhelming to the point of us having to add our own sauces at home. The tofu in the pad sew was not only not marinated, it was as though it was cut and thrown into the dish raw - the insides of the pieces of tofu were completely flavourless and raw. Both the coconut Thai soup AND the Tom yum were bland, barely room temperature and had half a baby bok choy each. The highest quality item we received were the napkins. I m not gunna give this place a second chance - have never been so disappointed in a Thai restaurant before.
Wok stir-fry + sake tasting. Tasty fast and the waitress super nice. Already looking forward to going back!
New discovery for us, very good, I recommend it to everyone
Staff is very nice and efficient. Food was excellent. 2nd visit for me. Beautiful restaurant Food : 5/5 |
Food was better than i thought going in. First time at Sesame. Service was great by MJ. Plenty of parking. Nice atmosphere, especially towards back of restaurant. Terrace available as well. I ll go back.
Great food. We took a combo menu which was more than enough food for two! Vegetarian options: Most meals can be adapted to vegetarian Food : 5/5 |
A girls night out. Had the sharing menu which was lots of food. Service was great, attentive but not intrusive. A great value night out. Well done!! Food
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!! We will come back again with friends. Dietary restrictions: I can t have dairy and it was easy to find a variety of options to choose from that are dairy free
Ordered 70$ of sesame in takeout, the chicken was extremely dry, the quality of the food was extremely poor. Cant believe it was 70$ for that quality. Thought it would be better than all the chain restaurants in Vaudreuil but it was as bad.
Still so good! I love the small dish formula, ideal for a lunch or to share with friends
I loved this restaurant my cocktail was excellent me and my friend before had two dishes which we shared and everything was excellent as was the service thank you for this beautiful evening Parking: Very accessible
Food was good
Calamari was good but the sauces are put on top so you cant choose the one you want. Classic General Tao crispy and just the right heat. Good Pad Thai too. Service was a bit slow, only 1 server per section who also has to make drinks. Nice decor but music was a bit loud. Food : 5/5
Celebrated a party and it was great! Excellent service and very warm atmosphere
Best food I ve had in a long time! Staff was so friendly, great atmosphere. Our server Antoine was amazing!
I love the place, the service is great and the food is good. I already have several visits under my belt since the opening and still as good.
We had the taster menu for 2. Everything was just lovely. Food is fresh, tasty and plentiful. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
My partner and I ordered butter chicken and a spicy salmon poke bowl at this restaurant. The avocados were moldy, the edamame too, the chicken was half cooked, a real disaster.
Food is always served hot and delicious! The general tao is lightly breaded and perfectly crisp, and the won ton soup is delicious. Love coming here. Definitely try one of their tasting menus for two of its your first time! We ve been three times since it opened and it is consistent :)
Good food, great drinks!!!
Thank you very much Laurence for your service, your joy of living
Pleasant outing with colleagues and friends for a dinner in an exotic, attractive and comfortable setting. The cuisine, delectable and generous, delighted all taste buds. As for the service, it was courteous, friendly and authentic. Great discovery! Vegetarian options: Several dishes with tofu, seafood and vegetables. Parking: Large parking lot shared by several restaurants and other businesses. Wheelchair accessibility: On one level. No steps. Easy-access individual mixed toilets. The space in the individual toilets is large. Circulation areas in the restaurant are quite clear.
The food was incredible! Lovely atmosphere and great service. Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian options from papaya salad to tofu as a protein for most dishes Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options
Service was spot on but issue with the general Tsao Im kinda disappointed felt like they gave 6 small pieces of chicken fingers and tossed it in there sauce which wasnt bad . I just I think they should batter there own chicken price was 25 something I felt like they could of put more meat for that price range rice was kinda bland and over cooked same with the veggies theres some new game in town Im sure this place has some other dishes I could flatter them about but this just wasnt the one .
Everything is great BUT the food is the white American version of Asian cuisine, and i say Asian because they have Chinese Japanese Thai Korean and Indian food on the menu. The dumplings were VERY small and dry and not worth the price, the salmon tartar was ok but there was pickles in it with no sesame oil or soy sauce. The karaage came with a fancy coleslaw. And we had to ask for chopsticks because there was none on the table. The ambiance is great, everything is clean and the staff is nice but Im never going back.
Food was fresh and tasty. The won ton soup with the spices is delicious. Everything on the taster platter was fantastic. Having English content on the website would be appreciated. The key lime pie is a nice refreshing way to end a meal. The lava cake is large but unfortunately too dry. The servers are very pleasant and helpful. Very clean premises.
Youri is truly an exceptional server
The waitress was super nice and helpful!! Impeccable service. The food was good, especially the starters! Drinks too, good choice... but a little expensive.... $17 for a mojito... in short, its a great discovery but not really worth the price
Food good service of manager not good
I love it, it s my favorite restaurant!
I celebrated my birthday at Sesame Vaudreuil and it was excellent. I had the Basil Mojito which was delicious and my husband and I shared a bunch of small meals. Everything tasted amazing and fresh. Our server was very attentive and made my special day ever so special with a celebratory sake bomb! I highly recommend Sesame if youre looking for great asian cuisine and a chill atmosphere (loved the music they played, I felt like I was on vacation).
Ordinary Asian cuisine, pad thai has nothing to do with a real pad thai, too much sauce, the noodles must be larger and better quality, lack of lemongrass, shallots, coriander and peanuts, some pad thai in Thailand are even cashew nuts. Tereaki beef lacks flavor. In short, very ordinary and expensive. Ordinary service! Nice place though. Not sure to go back because there are many alternative options and especially cheaper
Nice atmosphere but Tables close together. Not for intimate conversations. I will try the terrasse
Every menu item is made incorrectly. Awful awful food that has no business considering itself an Asian restaurant of any nationality. Absolutely awful.
Food was substandard. Vegetables were tasteless they offered to add salt or soya sauce, General Tao chicken was over fried/cooked & the sauce was vinegary. Service was good I would rate them 4 out of 10 Food : 2/5
Super nice, the food Were coming back for sure!!
First-time there, loved it! Will definitely return.
Impeccable service! Excellent food The only negative point is the fact that some chairs do not have backs
Extremely disappointing. Prices are not worth the portion nor the quality of the food at all.Took the teriyaki chicken bowl and there was almost no meat and no vegetables. The general tao plate is the only thing that has reasonable portions but again almost no vegetables. Wouldn t recommend.
I ordered food for takeout and was offered fries or salad with my meal. Now, in an Asian restaurant I dont expect to order fries and get anything special but when an item is offered as part of a meal, I expect it to be something other than McCain string fries from the freezer section of the grocery store that have been barely cooked. The portions were small compared to other Asian restaurants Ive eaten at and the prices were too high based on the quality of the food.
We dined here for Mothers Day and were extremely satisfied with the food and service we received. We look forward to our next visit here in the near future (Hopefully!).
The ambiance is amazingly beautiful and a bit of Zen. Food we ordered was delicious, fresh and the presentation was very nicely done . Our service was exceptional and Thank you, Alisha for our first time experience. You made it wonderful! We will return soon.
First visit for my birthday, we tried the Discovery dishes. Very good portions for 2 people. Reasonable price. It was good, it smelled and it was beautiful! I cant wait to go back.
We loved our evening! Thank you very much Estel for your exceptional service! We will definitely come back!
Unique and delicious food. Excellent friendly service.
Laurence gave us excellent service and good advice! The atmosphere was perfect and we enjoyed discovering the sesame ice cream. We will definitely come back!
Ordered online, the whole order was wrong. Terrible. First and last time
For a first visit we were delighted. The discovery menu for 2 is a great way to taste several items from the menu. Very good cocktail
Great place, Great service amazing food
Great experience! Very good fresh and tasty food. Nice selection. Server was well informed and had answers to all our questions. We were three and all were happy with our meals. Cozy environment. Lots of parking. We will be back. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options as well as nut-free make sure you inform your server.
First time trying the restaurant, we took a take out and for the price the portions are very small, we were quite disappointed. From the proteins, the vegetables and even the rice quantity was on the low side... Will not return. Food was tasting good at least
Excellent food and a good atmosphere service a little long but for the quality of the food its worth it
This is my favorite Asian restaurant, the general tao tofu is so good
Everything was A1 Our server was so kind. Very professional. Food : 5/5
It was my first time tonight for date night at this awesome new resto in my area. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Atmosphere and vibe are fantastic! Laura was our waitress and she was very attentive for every part of our meal. Our entrée was a nice portion of edamame seasoned to perfection. After this the peanut butter dumplings were absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of sauce! Our main meal consisted of menu B for 2 which included: red curry beef, shrimp pad thai, general tao chicken, rice, papaya salad and tom yum soup. Desert was a mango sorbet with a big pot of tea(of your choice). Jessica the manager was super friendly as always...will definitely be going back as often as possible! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
Food is too expensive for what you get. I don t mind expensive food but it needs to be absolutely exceptional which this restaurant clearly isn t. Wanted to like it but can t come grip with the price/flavour. Go downtown if you want Korean food or just be rich and don t care spending 100$ on mediocre food
We went to Sesame as a group of 4, 2 couples. We took the tasting menu for 4 (D). Some miscommunication seemed to have occurred & it took 20min to be acknowledged by a waiter after being seated. The food experience was overall very good, although there were no pork dumplings or tasting dumpling menu available that evening. The main dishes were very good, we had the pad Thai, the beef & coconut shrimp. The general tao was a bit too sweet to our liking & a bit too breaded. The black sesame ice cream was a hit. I would come back although I feel the value for price is pushing the pricey end of the spectrum. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes & tasting menus
We wanted to try this place since they opened but ended up so disappointed! Its way too expensive for what it is and not worth the price at all.
Great food made with the freshest ingredients with generous portions!! Amazing ambience with a great service from Antoine. This place will not disappoint.
Awesome service, good bloody ceasar, the poke bowl mix salmon and tuna was amazing , un vrai délice
Good food but I take one star off for the higher prices than other similar restaurants
Excellent Asian food. We have already ordered twice to bring. We cant wait to go to the dining room, the decor is welcoming
First time attending this restaurant. Was quiet for a Sunday lunch, which I particularly enjoyed because it was easy to converse with the person I was there with. We ordered one of the sharing options, and the food did not disappoint. IMO, authentic Asian flavours throughout the meal. I loved the green tea ice cream, a must try!
I adore
very long service but surely a lack of staff
Food was fresh hot and plentiful, waitress was very kind and quick! Would definitely go back, each mouthful was delicious!!!
Ordered through doordash and was disappointed with the tom yum soup, which was basically tomato soup with 2 tiny shrimp and the Bol Tao, which only came with 4 pieces of chicken in the bol..
Stay away from the Vaudreuil location. Had dinner there tonight and all our plates were gross. The general Tao chicken was basically chicken nuggets covered in sauce. We also ordered the Karaage and the chicken wasn t cooked. We sent it back so they brought a new plate, apologized for the wait but they wanted to make sure that it was cooked through this time and when we cut through the new chicken it was still frozen in the middle! Can t believe we basically flushed $150 down the toilet. Will definitely NOT be going back there
we came to sesame and the food was excellent. The general tao chicken is delicious and the peanut wontons I suggest. We fell in love with our waitress Marie Jeanne, she advised us on the dishes and our experience was very pleasant. We will definitely come back
I went for the delicious lunch, courteous service with Laurence to do it again, everything was perfect!
I am so happy to see Sesame finally settle in Vaudreuil. A new warm and friendly space. Gourmet cuisine with fresh products. A young team which I think has good days ahead of it!!! Thank you to the whole team for the great work accomplished Kid-friendliness: Childrens chair, pencil and coloring, childrens menu
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, from the delicious food (poké tofu) to the superb presentation of the dish. Additionally, the customer service was excellent.
Although it was a take-out order, I found the place very beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The General Tao chicken was well cooked with large, tender pieces. The breading was very thin which I appreciated. The sauce was really spicy as listed. I was expecting a spicy and sweet sauce. It was rather spicy and peppery but not sweet. I liked it less. The rice was sticky rice, but in the space reserved for this portion, the bottom accumulated water due to the heat and the rice became mushy and unpleasant in the mouth. The vegetables were all delicious. The quality of the products that created this plate was undeniable. The portion was perfect despite the sight of the transport product which seemed small for the price. Finally, the receptionist, a tall man of color with a smile like no other, was remarkably friendly and very kind. Well done for all of this.
Very nice discovery. We loved our experience and are already talking about returning.
This restaurant is a disgrace to Asian gastronomy. The dishes are tasteless and the prices exorbitant.
We went to get our meal, the restaurant was very pretty. The welcome is remarkable. The food is excellent. I cant wait until next time.
Some chairs have no back, which is uncomfortable. Slow and disorganized service. Several omissions in our order. Quality of ordinary meals that do not stand out from other Asian restaurants. Many dishes are basically spicy even if non-spicy is requested.
Best date night spot, the receptionist really stood out to us with his charm and warmest welcome. Service was excellent even though it was a packed Friday night. Looking forward to our next visit.
Thai soup, peanut wontons, Wok orange chicken; everything was delicious. The service offered by Marie-Jeanne was attentive and courteous and above all always with a smile. In terms of atmosphere, the place is pretty and pleasant but we would have preferred music that was a little less loud and less present.
So disappointed, I wanted to try this restaurant so bad since the last few weeks. The calamari was absolutely horrible, the portion was so small, the calamari rubbery and there was barely any sauce on them. The pad sew had zero taste and the meat was super chewy. The dumplings were fine, but they forgot the dipping sauce. The tao poutine didn t have any toppings and the chicken was dry. The poke had no taste at all. On a better note, the peanut butter wontons were good and the soups tasted amazing. I never write any kind of reviews, but I am just so disappointed that I had to. I could have done so much more with 130$ instead of wasting it there.
Very nice restaurant. My waitress Koralie knew how to make our experience for the first time the most perfect. His service was impeccable and very attentive. She knows her menu very well. The food was perfect.
Despite a disappointing experience with Ubereats, I want to say that the food was excellent. Definitely not my last time at this restaurant.
Superb restaurant with an atmosphere that is both relaxed and dynamic. I was there on opening night, when it was crowded, for a (large) take-out order (I know, its not very nice). Not only was the service, extremely cordial and interested despite the crowds, much faster than I had any right to expect, but to help me wait anyway, I was given a taste of the (sublime) black sesame ice cream, which I highly recommend. I dont even have the luxury of saying that its expensive: the prices are very respectable depending on the offer. Finally, excellent experience, even if I didnt eat there! Long life!!!
Quality food made from natural ingredients. The service is warm and the atmosphere is zen, upscale and you feel like youre in a lounge in Mtl, 2 minutes from the house. Well done!
