Amazing. Great food, great service, and great food

This place is always on our list. We live 2.5 hrs away and have other business in this plaza and this is our go to. Staff and managers always great.

Good eggs, bacon, and sausage but constantly needed water refills and potatoes were a little bland

sign says open and server sitting behind the counter on her phone says we r still closed...wow

when making our food, they literally scratched every part of their body. I saw them scratching their butt, underarms, chest, EVERYTHING, and then touch our food??? No gloves by the way. The food was not well cooked, cold, and overall the whole hygiene issue made it all fall apart. Terrible experience, what a waste of money.

This sunset grill is a small restaurant, the place was busy, that was nice to see. Food was a bit too salty and the pancakes were NOT good. The wait staff was very good.

Very disappointed. I came to get an early breakfast and this place was closed. I came just after 7 and the restaurant was closed. The door says open at 7 and so do the hours online, but the lights are off with no one inside. If you guys changed your opening hours, you should advertise it. I am very upset about the false advertising.

We were in Vaughan visiting from Sudbury and stopped to eat at Sunset Grill. Food was fresh, delicious and great portions. Staff were very welcoming and excellent service. We will definitely go back next time we re in the area. Would highly recommend this location.

This is my favorite breakfast place to go to in the neighborhood. Service was extremely nice, the food came out fresh and well seasoned, our server was so kind and lovely. It s nice when breakfast places don t try to rush you to eat your food, this place is perfect. Love coming here and look forward to coming more when it s the summer time!

Food is fresh, and service is always quick. Spinach and egg white wrap is a favorite.

The place was only about 25% full, with 2 servers on shift, that should be enough but service was extremely slow! Food is mediocre, nothing special Recommended dishes

We got seated promptly but anybody ordering the Avocado toast beware because it is absolutely NOT real avocado. What gave it away was the bright green colour and extra smooth consistency. It also tasted too acidic. Just like the ones you see in stores in a plastic sealed container that is bright green. Real avocado is pale in colour, thick in texture and creamy. Ive tasted the manufactured one before and it is not the same as freshly made. It looked like it was processed in a blender and colour added to it. Do not recommend this dish. ---> Replying to Sunset Grill: Excuse me but I do know how to read a menu and know exactly what it read so you need not reiterate the description of the dish I ordered. I did not expect the avocado to come from a processing plant. Do you care to elaborate on that or just ignore what I just wrote like you did in my previous review?

I ve been to this particular sunset grill for sometime now, every time I feel that I m treated differently by being black. I also, observed that all black customers are treated the same way as I was treated. Now I drive about 15 km to another location and it is completely welcoming. I believe the franchisee has some racism against black people and color person should ever spend their money there

My favorite breakfast place not only for the food but also the great people who work there. Lydia is always friendly and Johnson makes the eggs perfect.

I always order the breakfast poutine. It was good as always. Atmosphere is typical chain restaurant. Server was new and didnt know anything about the special crab cake eggs Benedict-- could not even tell us if the crab meat was real or simulated. Oh well. Felt a little put off that the minimum tip amount on the point of sale machine was 20%. Standard tip for decent (not excellent) service is still 15%. When we pointed this out to the young woman at the till, she became defensive and blurted, Yeah, thats why theres an option to enter your own tip. Very unsympathetic and unprofessional.

Worst breakfast place terrible French toast French toast should be made with brioche bread not English white toast bread also no fruit just a plate with 2 slices of bread I ve been to other breakfast places where the French toast is about an inch and a half thick with loads of berries on top Won t be going back again

Major Mack and Dufferin Location - The server couldn t speak well. The breakfast menu mentioned fries and they didn t have any. The quality of the French toast and scrambled eggs were awful. Wanted to stop by for a quick breakfast but was extremely disappointed. I guess the new management is not trained well and the ambience looked terrible. Will never go there again and don t recommend anyone trying this location at all.

Awesome place! Must stop everytime Im doing Toronto/Barrie. Workers and managers are great, very friendly. Delicious food always served quick.

The eggs are stale. Customer service is extremely poor and the staff are unhygienic. And if you mention this to the owner/manager her response is I run 3 locations. I do feel bad leaving this review during covid. But had I been treated fairly I would have ignored it.

I would like to share what REALLY happened with the previous review posted today. I am a regular customer at this location, I come every weekend never a complaint. The individual who left the negative review ordered an item that contained meat knowingly, came to the restaurant rudely, yelling at the workers and the owner. She threw her order at the owner, even though they had already made them a new item. You were rude and displayed inappropriate behavior. And then went ahead and wrote a review, as a witness. This is an amazing restaurant, I have been coming since they opened. Amazing service and amazing food!

My husband and I were greeted by a friendly hostess who told us to sit anywhere theres a menu. We sat at the table by the door and ended up leaving after 10 mins because no one came to take our order.

Today to our surprise our bill was paid by someone else who was already there for breakfast, kindness still exists. I promise to return the favor to another family on our next visit. I wish can give more then 5. Good service. Keep up the good work. Cheers guys

My boyfriend and I wanted to go out for brunch this morning. We decided to go to Sunset grill, we got there and sat down at a table. We were waiting for 15 minutes and still nobody came to us to ask what we would like. We couldn t wait anymore so we just left. Not the greatest customer service.

Large portion, great staff. Definitely walked away with more food than I ate. You wont need to order much here, when the food comes the serving is at least double what Im custom too.

Do not order from this location for delivery. They never follow instructions and Never send everything on the order. They also dont apologize when they screw up. Having to order from somewhere else so half the family can eat. This place is the Worst

Picked up some meals to go for Mothers Day and the food was great and portions were too! Everyone had a little left over and was content! Fluffy eggs and pancakes and the waffles were just the right amount of crunchy for those who had them. Very pleased!

Best sunset grill ever! The staff and management are all so friendly. Specifically, Maya was the best waitress I have ever had in my life. She puts 110% effort into her job and continuously checked up on me to make sure I was satisfied and doing well! The manager, Nathan is also the kindest man and makes sure that you are always happy with the service! I had the best pancakes and could not have left happier. Great place to grab a quick bite with lot of healthy options. However, my favourite is their All Day Breakfast. Quick and friendly staff.

This location was my third choice, and for good reason. I forgot how poor the service was here, and after a few years, it continues to be so. The food is alright, nothing special. Getting a glass of water apparently took the efforts of 2 people for some reason. The wait staff is not attentive to customers by any means. Never coming back.

Not very impressed when it comes to all day breakfasts. Company of 3 ordered French toast, avocado toast and an old school bacon and eggs. The French toast was extremely bland. It had no toppings as you would normally expect such as fresh strawberries, cinnamon, powered sugar etc. Not even an option as a side order...! Plus the plate it was served on was so small there was not room to navigate to your meal without it slipping off your plate. The maple syrup is fake not real maple syrup. The avocado rye toast was spongy the bread had a sponge like quality to it. The avocado seemed like it can out of a can same for the olives. The bacon and eggs dish was ok at best. Overall save your money or Visit another breakfast establishment.

This is the Best Sunset Grill location I have ever eaten at !! Hands down amazing. The best Canadian bacon and the most delicious pancakes. Service was incredible and it s family owned !!! The place is warm and inviting and so clean. Well done !

I was waiting for my food 1:15 minutes she never told me At the door she was backed up on the kitchen I was late to work and she still wanted to charge me which I did pay for my coffee and my drink And she was still taking orders over the phone

I went for breakfast yesterday and my omelette was overcooked and the potatoes were definitely either from the day before or a couple days before because they were not even warmed up. Please at least put it on the plancha. The only saving grace was toast and they didnt have Multi grain, I went with white. Overall disappointing meal. Felt robbed at almost $20, when most of it tasted like it had been cooked previously. Please serve your customers good food.

Service was good. They were nice but, there was lipstick smuged on my cup during covid time unsanitary . Beware if u come check ur cups. To add on bacon was RAW It was like white and light pink and potatoes were also raw and tasted like fish. To add on the workers looked like they didnt want to be there . If you feel like grabbing something for the road... Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing! They cost a bit more than an egg Mcmuffin... But you cant compare the quality and taste! You cant go wrong! On top of that you get the personal experience (the girl at the front remembered how my wife takes her coffee only after her 2nd visit) You cant go wrong here!

Fresh & delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere! This is by far the best Sunset Grill location & our favourite breakfast place. The staff is always helpful, service is great and the food is always so delicious! The owner goes out of her way to make sure that customers are happy. The restaurant is always clean and food always comes out hot & fresh.

Dismal service. I have been here a few times for a weekday lunch, as its close to work. Not always the best service but adequate. Today though tried to go for breakfast with my 6 year old and ended up walking out. Place was about 75%, busy but not packed. We were seated at a table and then.... nothing. No what would we like to drink. No greeting. Nothing. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. 15 minutes. Nothing. Tables around us the waitresses were chit chatting with. Staff was available. Three times I looked over at the cash were at any time there were at least three and often more staff standing around chatting. Made eye contact. Nothing. Honestly. I felt that because I wasnt a woman they didnt want to serve us. It was weird, unpleasant and frustrating. My little girl was getting hungry so after 17 minutes we put on our jackets and left. Id like to say how when we are leaving somene asked how it was or if there was an issue. Id like to say that because again four people standing around the cash doing nothing and it would be a sign that someone cared. But I cant say it because it didnt happen. So no problem, message received, you dont want my business. If I was the owner or manager here Id be pretty embarrassed. Edit: in response to the response. Yes. I know where I was exactly. I am not sure how you would think that the best response to my writing a review to complain about being ignored is to imply it is my fault for being confused on where I was or that i am a liar. To be honest we visit other locations. Queen north mainly and have good experiences. But your reply was pretty irritating to me. I am not the problem here. Please apologize for your frankly ridiculous response.

Best breakfast pancakes - ever!

I have to admit that I am one never to put out reviews since I am pretty critical about the places I eat at, I ve also been in the food industry for over 30 years so I ve seen it all, but I have to make an exception this time. I ve been coming to this Sunset Grill since it opened and I ve never been disappointed, the food is always amazing, the place is immaculate but what I love is the great service they provide always with a genuine smile on their face. The staff is always friendly efficient and seem to take pride of the place they work at. The Sunset grill always has a great crowd which makes me believe that I am not the only one that feels this way. Great job everybody ;)

This place got the worst service. It was only like 30% of the table was seated, I waited 30 mins for just bacon and eggs and then another 15 mins for my toast. Over all it toke longer than Jack astor to get the food and I was there at 1:30pm that was off rush hour. It was just bacon and eggs how long can it takes.........
