Giro D’Italia Ristorante is modern setting where the authentic flavors of Italy come to life in the dual menu. Regularly the menu features homemade fresh pasta, traditional Neapolitan pizza and delicious protein based dishes. The distinct innovative menu that distinguishes the restaurant from any other is the ever-changing monthly menu. Each month the restaurant features the cuisine of a distinct region of Italy on this second menu. Here the characteristic flavors, cooking styles and ingredients of each region are explored in an elegant manner which leave you coming back every month. This unique concept makes Giro D’Italia Ristorante the ideal place to come back to for your favorite traditional Italian dishes, while being able to constant
What a great experience, theidea of a different menu every month . From different regions is absolutely fantastic. Today was the region of "Abruzzo". Some pictures I will share from the delicious food. Service on point, super service. We were a table of 14 and is difficult to get everything correct, but for us was just perfect. Tha ks so much for the team. Cocktail are pricey but worth it. I have a paper plane and my friendsartini expresso. Worth every penny you pay for the food. Will be back for an special occasion.
The food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend the Assassina pizza!!! And the tiramisu 😍 The ambience of the restaurant was very nice and our server was so attentive to our needs, one of my friends has alot of allergies and the kitchen was very accommodating! Can't wait to come back and try their pastas! Thank you for such a wonderful experience 😊
This restaurant never disappoints! With dishes from different regions of Italy rotating every month, the menu is always delicious. Giro is one of the best Italian restaurants in Woodbridge.
I m a huge Napoli pizza fan! Giro has great authentic pizza, which made me been here twice during one week! The blu mare pasta is excellent! Only thing I m not very satisfied is the sangria, which was little bit watery, like too much juice or spritz instead of wine. But overall I love this restaurant, will def come back again!
An Unforgettable Italian Dining Experience with Authentic Flavors and Live Music I visited an incredible Italian restaurant on Thursday night and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by live Italian music, set the perfect tone for the evening. We ordered pizza and lasagna, and I must say, both dishes were absolutely delicious. The pizza, with its thin and crispy crust and fresh ingredients, had an authentic taste that reminded me of a trip to Italy. The lasagna was rich and flavorful, perfectly cooked to melt in your mouth. To accompany our meal, we had an Aperol Spritz, which was simply amazing. The highlight of the evening was the dessert—“Granita al Limone,” an iconic Italian treat made with frozen lemon juice. It was incredibly refreshing and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, this restaurant provided an extraordinary dining experience with its delightful food, refreshing drinks, and vibrant live music. Highly recommended!
Came here for a cute double date and the food was amazing! We started with the calamari which was delicious. The calamari was cooked perfectly and was not chewy, batter was light and the seafood pieces themselves were rather large. I got the monthly region special, a pesto based lasagna with sautéed shrimps, potatoes and green beans. The ingredients were definitely different than the typical lasagna but everything came together perfectly and it was extremely filling. My gf got the gnocchi with the duck ragu in tomato sauce which was also good. The pizza was light and you could taste the fresh ingredients. We ended off with the lava cake which really surprised me in how smooth and light it felt. The chocolate filling was rich and not bitter, so smooth I could only feel the ice cream and cake. Will definitely be coming back every month as they change the menu to represent a different region of Italy!
I had high hopes for Giro Italian Restaurant after reading some positive comments online, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. I attempted to make a reservation by calling the restaurant as instructed on their website for tables of 5 or more. However, no one answered the phone, and even after leaving a voicemail, my call was never returned. The food itself was quite disappointing. The Sautee Di Cozen E Vongole had a few mussels that were stinky, which was off-putting. The TARTUFATA white pizza was soggy and subpar, not meeting my expectations for Italian cuisine. Mediocre food - I have definitely had better Italian meals elsewhere at an even lower price point. Unfortunately, based on my experience with the lack of communication and the quality of the food, I cannot recommend Giro.
Absolutely my favourite place to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. Today I hosted my birthday lunch for 15 ladies at Giro and the celebration was flawless. The food, service and atmosphere was 10/10. Thank you to Anna who looked after all the details and ensuring that this event was successful. See you all again soon! Xoxo
I attended Giro Friday night Dec. 20th for the first time. My reservation was for 7:30, I arrived at 7:05. The hostess confirmed my reservation and said the table was still occupied that I could have a drink at the bar. I said thank you asked where the bathrooms were and proceeded there. After exiting the washroom I was approaching the bar as the hostess came up to me and abruptly told me my reservation was for 7:30 that I would have to wait outside. I confirmed outside and she said yes outside. That s where I waited till my other companions arrived. What kind of restaurant operates like that!!! Should have zero as a rating.
By far, it is the best food I have ever had. The service was amazing, and the staff were as well. You have to eat here.
I recommend this place to everyone. Food, appetizer and dessert were absolutely fantastic. Service was great and atmosphere nice and quiet. I took my staff to this restaurant for Christmas dinner and every one loved it. 5 star. Thank you Paul Covino for recommending this place. Vegetarian options: Enough in the menu. Dietary restrictions: No one among my guests, but staff were very helpful. Parking: Plenty. No worries. Kid-friendliness: so so
Great food and engaging service.
As (real) Italian, I am a picky eater when it comes to Italian food abroad. This place is the only one where I go when I want to feel at home. Excellent service.
Nice place, friendly welcome. Pizza with lamb ragout 10. Platter of cold cuts 10. Tiramisu bono bono known as Tuscan style. The staff are all very empathetic, professional and friendly. Marco....not only with us Italians.
SIMPLY THE BEST ! A gem for Italian cuisine lovers and not only. Definitely worth it . Food : 5/5
The food at this restaurant tastes just as if you are in Italy, absolutely amazing! The service is excellent, including the manager Tomassi, who makes sure you have a great experience. Highly recommend!
Food is amazing!
Love this restaurant. Food is tasty authentic Italian cuisine. Service is fantastic. I would recommend it. Food
Authentic as it gets!!! The hospitality and service is 10 star. Diego was sn amazing server. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Perfect flavours. Exceptional service. 5/5 stars Food : 5/5
I have always enjoyed dining at Giro d Italia , which is why I was surprised by my last two visits. Unfortunately, the quality of the steak did not meet the high standards I had come to expect. It was disappointing, especially since I have always praised your kitchen. Additionally, I had an uncomfortable experience with the wine recommendation. The waitress suggested a wine without checking the menu or informing us of the price. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see a charge of $400 for a bottle that, to be honest, did not impress us in terms of quality. We assumed the price would be reasonable, so we didnt think to ask beforehand. I have always appreciated the service at Giro d Italia which makes this experience even more disheartening. I hope this feedback helps improve future visits for myself and other patrons. Thank you!!!
Perfect place for a good food
Great food, nice service, excellent atmosphere. Good for Date night or famalies
Amazing experience
Had a great time at dinner. Food tasted fantastic, service was good, and the atmosphere was lovely.
Amazing food, service and overall atmosphere. They did an excellent job to make you feel like you re in Italy having a beautiful meal. Fantastic!
I ve dined here many times and the food is amazing. This is more of a review for the owner to see to coach the waitress Anna as she s not to the level of the Italian waiters. I can reach out via email to tell you more details.
Love this restaurant! The pizzas are excellent! Oysters are always fresh too! I had the pesto ravioli and it was super tasty. You can t go wrong with the tiramisu here!
Surprised that this place rates so highly. I must have caught them on a really off day. The salad was way over dressed - to the point where the leaves were extremely wilted. The pizza was probably on par with a place like Pico at best, which is not what one would expect here. The vongole pasta was inedible. The amount of sand in the clams was unacceptable. The clams didnt seem fresh either. The flavour was off and pasta itself had poor texture. Service was extremely slow.
Second try at Giro and failed 1 out of 5 rating! Overhyped Restaurant. Food was subpar at best. Service was good. Beautiful space with open kitchen. Sorry, will not be coming back! Out $ 450
Great unique tasty food and nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Best margarita pizza i ve ever had. the crust was soooooooooo fire
Excellent service Incredible dishes Great atmosphere Food : 5/5
The atmosphere, food, and service are of exceptional quality.
Upscale Italian restaurant with a great concept of monthly regional ingredients of Italy. The food was hearty and made with fresh ingredients. An extensive well thought out wine list.
Love this place! Incredible food, service and atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Great, great, great..food, service and everything else was fantastic. Parking: Can be busy at times but lots of spots just need to walk further. Food : 5/5 |
One of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto
I understand that maintaining original Italian recipes is difficult...but if you are Italian you dont have to change the ingredients, especially if there are Italian restaurateurs at your table
The food tasted amazing and the service was great!
Great place! Great staff! Great kitchen!
Super cool vibes. The pizza was very good, all the food was really good! The Graffe Fritte was soooo good, like unbelievable. 10/10 all around
Great ambiance, great prices for the quality and the size of the portions. Attentive and friendly service and welcoming manager. I had a great lunch more recently, see the photos below :). Food
Giro is the artful mastery of Italian Cuisine. Serving dishes from all over the peninsula, Giro is a special dining experience - blending traditional regional recipes with modern inspiration. We enjoyed a very tasty Calabria month menu dish Cappellacci Ripienindi Coniglio and the Regular menu Giro D Italia pizza - delicious works of art. Kid-friendliness: Giro is a family restaurant -
I ve been to this restaurant twice. Each time was a great experience. My first visit was for a bridal shower, they had a beautiful set up, one very long table that had everyone able to interact with each other. It was served family style and the food was delicious. My second visit I happened to be in the area and luckily for me they were able to accommodate my last minute reservation for 2. It was really busy when we arrived but our server was so friendly and attentive. To start we had the fritto misto di paranza. We also tried out the pizza Versace off the Calabria menu, and the butternut squash risotto (The risotto was my favourite.) Thank you Giro for your great service & delish dishes. We will definitely be back. :)
This is an amazing place. The regional menu changes every month and the main menu changes frequently as well, allowing you to try a wide-range of specialities that are rarely seen outside of Italy. The antipasti, primi, and secondi are all consistently outstanding. I try to eat here at least once a month so that I can try something from each regional menu. I have only two minor complaints: (1) For some reason, the deserts are often too dry, even those that have custard in them. (2) Sometimes the servers are overworked, so it can take some time to get a drink or a desert menu.
Amazing food and amazing staff very kind and makes it feel like you re in Italy !
It was honestly a phenomenal place, I took my girlfriend here and we absolutely loved it
Had a great time there, food was good, service was excellent and vibe was quite nice.
Unique, authentic Italian food! Love the concept of offering different foods from all over Italy. Great service!
It was great
The food was amazing and they sat us right away. If you have a large party make reservations.
Great service from a fantastic team!!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended
Service was horrible my server was rolling her eyes at everyone at the table I genuinely couldn t wait to go home. The food was maybe mid at best. Kitchen was strict and wouldn t accommodate any changes. Everyone s food came out at different times it was awkward and strange.Over all I wouldn t recommend this place. Literally pick any other Italian restaurant :)
Terrible experience would not recommend. The waitress was extremely rude and judgemental. The food was terrible and very overpriced. When asked to accommodate the food because of a food restriction, they were not able to help. They have absolutely nothing for kids, unless your kids like duck with everything. Overall, very bad experience wouldnt advise, unless you have some extra money to throw away.
excellent place a very good atmosphere the food is simply exquisite the attention and service the best
Easy to find and lots of parking . Amazing food [ though pricing a little on the high side ] The monthly added menu from different parts of Italy a bonus . The waiter could have been a little more attentive but in all a fine dining experience . The linguini al scolgio was perfect paired with the buratta e prosciutto and the mixed greens salad .
This is probably the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. Cant say enough. Our server Anna was also wonderful. Nothing bad to say here.
I love this place. The ambiance is perfect. Our servers are very nice and prompt. Overall is a fabulous experience.
This restaurant has been on our bucket list of restaurants to try and it did not disappoint. We visited on Thursday July 11th. We were greeted by a very nice hostess who also became our server. She seemed to be doing both door and serving. She was very sweet, knowledgeable about the food and very professional. Appetizers - pizza and pear salad. Both delicious and favorable Entrees - rigatoni pasta with lots of sauce (like I like it) and done just right al dente. Dessert - lemon tartufo - cant go wrong with that. They had a singer who had an amazing voice and was not over powering that you couldnt hear the person across from you. Just the right volume. Great experience and we will definitely be back :)
Couldnt believe we got charged $2.50 for each glass of hot water!! It was not cool that the restaurant didnt say anything as we ordered our food and we only found out ourselves when we saw the bill. What an unpleasant surprise for a birthday celebration! The waiters service was good. The ragu dish was delicious, but the swordfish cavatelli with barely any fish was surprisingly too fishy for my liking... overall, not a great experience.
One of the best Italian restaurants Ive experienced in Toronto. The quality of the food and the exceptional service made it a memorable evening. One unique aspect of this restaurant is its special menu, which features dishes from a particular city in Italy, changing every now and then. This innovative approach keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting. We sampled a variety of dishes, including pizza, and steak, finishing with a delightful tiramisu. Each dish was outstanding. The steak, in particular, was a highlight, served with three different types of salt, each enhancing the flavor uniquely. Overall, an amazing dining experience that I highly recommend to anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine in Toronto.
Tried to book a table for 13 people, the hostess had no clue what the menu was like and asked to call back because it got busy all of a sudden . As a hostess, it s literally your job to accommodate the customers and know the menu. Food is great and the rest of the staff is pretty competent.
Food was pretty good. Freshness, portion size and taste were on point. Service was excellent. Interior design was outstanding and comfortable.
We came for a friends birthday this evening and we were served by Marcos. I hope Im getting his name right. Many restaurants advertise their menu as one that tastes so good youll be transported away to wherever their food originates. With Giro DItalia, YOU GENUINELY FEEL LIKE YOURE EATING IN TUSCANY. The servers are fantastic and the ambience is wonderful for a night out. If youre in the Woodbridge area and are in the mood for some quality Italian food, Giro is where its at. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
I really like this place Its a bit pricey but the quality and good service cost !!!!! What I dont like is its a little bit noisy. The food is amazing the portions are perfect. I really wish this place to be a little bit more bigger !!!!
Came on a Monday and they weren t too busy. Food is very fresh and authentic. Our server was very attentive and friendly. They have a standard menu, with a special monthly menu. This month s is Molise so we made sure to try a few dishes from that menu. Will definitely be coming back next month to see what is new. Great food and great atmosphere!
Pretty good and nice
Great experience on the most recent visit. Been year a few times before and you can tell management keeps sharpening the blade. Keep it up. Kitchen was executing consistently well, and service kept delivering. If you have been here before and haven t been recently come to check out the improvements.
Overall, the dining experience was excellent. The food was complemented by attentive service and a unique atmosphere. Theres definite room for improvement on the desserts, which did not taste the greatest. That did not take much away from the experience. We will be coming back.
The staff and service are absolutely wonderful. They are very considerate and attentive to their guests, and the food is always amazing! Dietary restrictions: Excellent accommodation for gluten free/dairy free Kid-friendliness: Staff is very accommodating in regards to toddlers/children
I really enjoyed this restaurant. Great balanced menu with some daily specials on top of their monthly regional menu. Went beginning April but they hadnt switched to the next month, so just call ahead to make sure you know which regional menu will be offered when you show up. Everything was tasty. A bit of a slower service but the staff is friendly and professional. And the accent really makes you feel like youre in Italy. Ill be back for sure!
Me and my wife went there, everything was perfect, also they have a great wine list!!
Tour D Italy! What a lovely concept for a restaurant! The fact that you re greeted with this rustic yet modern theme when you walk in, you just know it s going to be good. Seeing everything made in house, seeing the waiter present the menu and explain the background of their philosophy and the constant attentive to detail showed me the passion and love for this place. I came here with my girlfriend as a celebratory date for her birthday and it did not disappoint. She loves Italian food and we ve tried tons of places but what made me book reservations here was because of the concept of travelling to Italy by having a new menu monthly and paying homage to the different cities / places that reside. The food was also immaculate as the flavours were familiar yet different, it wasn t just pasta or meatballs, it had finesse and elevation that made things much more worthwhile to experience. Seeing owners / regulars come in for service and be treated with hugs and laughter shows me the Italian heritage of family and hospitality which translates to their guests instead of strict favouritism. I ll definitely be returning as it s a gem hidden away; Tucked in the corner of a plaza, there s really no marketing aside from google and knowing from word of mouth. Nonetheless, Fantastic all around!
Tried this restaurant for the first time. Our waiter Tomasso was amazing. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was great. Entertainment was great. Will definitely be back.
A gem in Vaughan! Had a great experience in terms of food, service and atmosphere. A true alternative to a chic downtown place. The restaurant was completely full on a Wednesday evening so reserving in advance is highly recommended.
Food was pretty good but besides the osso buco that I got , all I gotta say is it was dry amd the polenta was WAY overkilled with saffron like so bad that I couldnt even finish the dish , to overpowering and I loek saffron but not like that it was just crazy Service lol The server brought us our food and never came back to check on us once till way after we were done our food , i waited almsot 20 min for a drink because the whole time he was on the food , and i get it u were dealing with something else but we are your table and you should have told the other waiter to take care of us or come back for min to see if we needed soemthing but no they both ignored us and the other waiter a spent the whole time talking to another table.. The reservations were setup with them knowing there was a baby a 2 month old baby and well we couldnt put the stroller on the one side because there was a table right there and we couldnt put the stroller on the other side because every time the door opened it was cold and the hostess desk was there so not sure why they set us up there...
I am beyond shocked ! The food NO GOOD ! If I wanted to eat at the Olive Garden, I would have booked there ! So for those of you who remember the Olive Garden, you will know what I mean ! What a shame to have this in Vaughan !!!!!!!!....and especially claiming you bring foods from all the regions of Italy !!
The first time coming was a very horrible experience food was overpriced and it was not Italian authentic. Don t waste you time and your money.
If you want the real flavors of Italy, this is the place to go. Food is very flavourful and the portions a bit too generous (they do provide take home containers). You better come hungry and dont eat all the fresh bread they give you at the start or you will never make it past the first course. Marco is the server you want to ask for. He is the true Italian and provides excellent service and advice.
I dont even know where to start. I have nothing against the waiters and the staff. But omg, the food is so horrendous. Its as if they are serving the result of a 5 year old experimenting with food. The food was so bad it made me hate Italy for a bit. I got the pasta with truffle and I barely touched it. I would only recommend this place if u are trying to go on a diet and you want to destroy your taste buds and the will to eat food.
Very nice experience!
I am very impressed with the service and the food 5 +++ They had an outstanding vegan choice for me , they are one of the best Food
Food was fantastic- tasty with huge portions! Service was best I have seen in a long time - exceptional! Atmosphere was a combination of intimate to group sessions and they were able to combine both
What a great experience! Marco gave us an introduction to their menu and restaurant ideology. He was very attentive and helpful with the wines and pairing with food. They have a diverse selection of wine and delicious food (most made from family recipes). The menu changes per season and region. Such an unexpected experience on a Monday afternoon. We will be back! Vegetarian options: I had the Eggplant Lasagne. I very rarely get a chance to have lasagne since I am vegetarian. It was rich with cheese, noodles, sauce and eggplant. Light and flavourful.
Very nice atmosphere! Nice choice of beverages. Very simple and delicious menu! The pasta of choice tonight was the seafood dish. Lots of seafood in the portion and a more than fulling portion. We dined there in Honor to my lovelies birthday and a very nice choice it was! To think I use to work right across the street and never came here!
Our waitress, Maria, was nice. We had a good experience.
Friendly staff and great food. Would definitely go back. Love the idea of the monthly menu from different regions of Italy. Wheelchair accessibility: My cousin had no issue going in and out of the restaurant and the washroom.
Giro DItalia never disappoints. Always very welcoming staff, delicious food and calm atmosphere.
Incredible authentic Italian cuisine!
A beautiful restaurant with excellent food and wonderful service. Makes me feel like I m back in Tuscany
Food was amazing and atmosphere was very nice. However, service wise was not the best. I had a party of 7 and our waiter Anna, did not seem to be very friendly or try to establish a connection with our table. She was knowledgeable about the menu and checked on us a couple of times, however people in our party felt a little rushed by her and we had to keep asking for water refills. Overall a great place to go and would come again specifically for the food.
My third time back at this place. Best Italian food in Vaughan. Food is always AMAZING, every single item I ve had here is an 10/10. The manager is a very friendly and personable man. Great food and great guy. Can t wait to come back again!
You pay a hefty price but its definitely the best Italian food I have had outside Italy Service is also excellent. Been a couple times and every server went above and beyond Cant ask for much more!
Best Italian food and even worth it to come from the city!
The service is what really stood out the most to me. My daughter and I met there for the first time (prior to that we had not seen each other for over a year long story). The servers were so accommodating in giving us extra time after our meal to catch up. At first we were given a 2 hour maximum (I completely understand the why) but that was eventually extended for 2 additional hours without inconveniencing anyone. I couldnt have asked for more just 2 days before Christmas. Will definitely be back there for sure!
To savor a piece of Italy in Toronto...exceptional!
Was super excited to try this restaurant as I heard lots of good things. However, Food was mediocre unfortunately. We ordered the calamari, shrimp etc platter , pasta with funghi and Abruzzo pizza. All dishes lacked flavour and had little to no taste especially the funghi pasta and pizza. Service was good, our server was nice and attentive and explained the menu nicely.
The reason for the low rating is the bad experience with the reservation. We reserved a table for a party of 4 persons. When we arrived there were 3-4 empty tables that fits our party but they insisted to give us the table in front of the restaurant door. I told them we need to get a table away from the entrance due to the cold winds when doors are open. They said no because the other tables are reserved for others, who did not arrive yet. I said no one said when we reserved that we can reserve specific tables and all the empty tables fit party of 4. At least 2 tables were vacant till we finished our dinner. They were rude to do not change the table and we had to stay as we had a celebration. This experience is negative enough to never return to this place who differentiate between their guests. On the other hand, the food experience was not good at all. Service by Maria was perfect. That was the only positive thing in that dinner. Definitely not returning and not recommending this restaurant.
Amazing food and great service! We went for a small event and it was perfect. There were a lot of people Trying to come dine in so I think there re should ve been a sign up - regardless the staff took care of it.
One of the best Italian restaurants Ive been to
Pizza is incredible, a must have!
Authentic Italian food, so good!
Great italian spot in Vaughan
Amazing Service and very tasty food. The 20oz pork schnitzel looks like its from the Flintstones on the big dinasour bone.
I loved the food, the vibe, the service. We were told there is live music on Thursdays. Definetely going back, and I will make sure to call ahead of time to make a reservation. Thank you team for the pleasant evening!
GUANCIA DI VITELLO was amazing. Rabbit dish!! Great wine selection. Service was amazing. Tried pizza, fried calamari.. The donut desert was excellent Service was phenomenal. Parking: No problem parking
Food was amazing. Pizza is really good and fresh. Place is a bit small so understandably it fills up quick, but a must try.
Flavors were fantastic, portions were very meager unless you were getting a pizza. Over priced Italian food once again. Compliments to the chefs for authenticity
Authentic Italian done right. Rotating monthly menu with popular dishes from various Italian cities, in addition to a diverse, stable menu. Calm, classy ambience with top notch service. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in the GTA.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food, service, and atmosphere is top notch. My husband and I always look forward to visiting Giro. We LOVE the rotating monthly menu.
This review is based on service and policy of the restaurant. At the time of online booking, it says we will have two hours for our table. But when we arrived, the hostess said we only have 1 hour and 30 mins for our table, because they already have another reservation for our table for the next party. It took us off guard but we took the chance. After about 50 minutes into our dinner, a waitress came by and ask if she can take away a plate that still has 2 pizza slices on it, then we looked at her in obvious shock and told her we are still working on it. Then, about another 15-20 mins another waitress came by and simply took away a plate that still has some food on it. Normally at restaurants of similar scale, the server would have asked if we were finish before taking the plate away. We felt pressured and not happy with the way we were rushed into finishing everything. Then 20 mins left into our restricted 1 and a half hour dinner time, the waitress left us with the dessert menu to look at. Honestly we really wanted to try a couple of their desserts and to finish our meal with a nice cappuccino, but how can you expect your customers to be able to have the full 3 courses meal all within the 1 and a half hour time? Our experience didn t feel like a good Italian restaurant dining or similar style of experience at all. Considering we ordered wine and appetizer and mains. We felt the time pressure and the rushed service gave us more stress to finish our meal on time were not pleasant at all. We had to keep checking our watch for the time remaining, every time a waitress comes to check our table. So 10 mins before our time is up for the table, the waitress already gave us the bill before we ask. As you can imagine, we still have food in our mouth and we had to rush to get our wallet while still chewing. We really didn t feel like we enjoyed a supposedly relaxing dinner. You are being warned!
3 pizzas at our table tonight... VERY VERY (too) thin... all ingredients soak through making the pizza very soggy and almost wet... you cannot lift a slice... impossible... The polenta served with sausage and ribs was unseasonably... a very underwhelming dish... Frito misto - 5 stars... delicious... well seasoned... excellent appetizer
Kid-friendliness: Very good food for celebration with family. Food
Absolutely delicious cuisine. Authentic Italian food, left very happy
Loved it. The food was delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts. The staff was great. I will definitely be returning to try the pizza it looked very good.
This is a one of a kind special Italian restaurant, food and drinks are amazing!
Great food and service. Amazing menu. A must go
The food is good and the staff is great but the pizza falls apart and is so messy to eat. I pick it up and all the cheese falls off. The fried calamari is really good though.
Very refined place serving excellent traditional Italian. We had a table for me and my friends and everything was just delicious. Also they have a vast selection of wines but not only that, the staff is very prepared and know exactly the perfect wine for your food. I highly recommend Diego as a server, very polite and attentive.
Giro de Italia offered an authentic Italian dining experience that didnt disappoint. The calamari was flavorful and the pizza, a delightful mix of classic Italian toppings. Service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. A place worth revisiting for a taste of Italy. Highly recommend! Parking: Parking all around the restaurant, there were lots of spots when I went.
Delicious and authentic!
The place is a hidden gem! Outside of the store definitely doesn t represent the atmosphere inside. It s a nice authentic restaurant. You can spot a beautiful pizza oven and the kitchen from were you are sitting. They handled a group of 10 perfectly. The sitting was nicely done. What I loved the most about it is that the menu represents different part of Italy. They have a monthly theme on their menu. This month s was Sicilian cuisine. Everyone loved their food. I personally DID NOT like the LEEK as vegetable on my plate it should be killed off of the menu you cannot bring cake from outside as there is an additional plate fee if you do so however our waiter Marco was great and he didn t charge us. The bills were handled perfectly and no mistakes were made for a large group. Great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Had the squid ink pasta. Best pasta. Got the cremoso pistachio dessert. Best dessert. Would eat again. Should go
First off I wanted to say that we found a Google review on this restaurant that said it was a hidden gem. We decided to try this restaurant we had no reservation however, this restaurant found a way of making room for two of us and I m so glad they did. I would like to mention my server Anna she was absolutely amazing, guided us through the menu and through the wine list and pick the most best wine ever, then I would like to add the chefs. Antonio was my favorite and we were sitting right in front of them and watching them was amazing. They took a lot of pride in their presentation of the food and how they prepared their food. I felt like I was on Hells kitchen. We were very impressed. Love the staff and I will definitely be back .
This place is a hidden gem. Great food and service. Marco provided great service and suggestions on what to get. My kids dont normally like margarita pizzas, but they said this was the best they had. Eating here makes you feel like you are touring Italy.
Very inviting and personable service everryone felt like a regular customer
Hi, I ate in this restaurant, as an Italian I can tell you that it is very good, the staff is top notch, I will definitely be back
This is an authentic Italian restaurant. Great food, service and atmosphere. I love the MONTHLY REGIONAL MENU based on a specific region of Italy
Top knotch service and atmosphere. The food was very good with excellent presentations. Vegetarian options: True Italian vegetariana
Place was amazing food was amazing but the guy in the suit kinda hit my shoulder like 3 times it was kinda rude but the food is blessed
Great first experience at Giro! I made reservations and was seated right away. Smaller location, packed and busy for a Thursday night. Server Kristen was friendly and courteous. Topped up our drinks regularly and was a pleasure to speak with. Had the Frito misto appetizer and we ordered a pizza each. Complimented by a montepulciano. Forget the big chain Pizza stores, fresh and artisanal is where its at. Topped everything off with a delicious latte.
Great food and atmosphere.
Very nice service and great authentic Italian food. Love it! Kid-friendliness: Very friendly Food : 5/5 |
New favorite Italian restaurant! Their fresh pasta and apps are truely out of this world. Everything we had was delicious. Service wad also spectacular
Hands down the best Italian food in Vaughan. Reminds me of Italy and there menu refreshes every few weeks which is amazing! Highly recommend!
Unfortunately I did not find this place to be the hidden gem others are claiming. We were a group of six. 3 couples. Spent over $200 for my husband and myself with no alcohol and was not impressed. Our friends spent a bit more because of the wine and bottles of water. The steak was way too salty and only served with 3 pieces of cauliflower. Description was to be served with potatoes and vegetables. Did not get that at all. We should have mentioned this to our server but decided to let it be. Had the grill octopus that tasted burnt. The pizza was gummy and the monthly special of potatoes peppers and sausage was ok but nothing to boast about. Dont think Ill be going back.
Waited a hour and a half for tasteless food , only ate it cause I was hungry from waiting so long. Couldn t find the server , nor did they have a cocktail menu. overrated ! Although the live musician was the only worth wild thing here.
Food was 2.5/5, ambiance was 4/5 but prices were crazzzyyyy expensive for what you get.
Food was outstanding ,service was amazing !
The food was delicious and the server (JT )was nice and engaging Recommended the meal and explained the menu to us. A welcoming environment and kids friendly Food
Delicious food, friendly service.
This restaurant is a joke after we spend $400 they told us to leave not Italians at all. Solo mangiachecca siete
Amazing Italian food! Live music as well!
This is an excellent Italian restaurant in Vaughan! Excellent meal, truly. I will be back.
Booked a reservation here for my husbands 30th birthday and I am so disappointed! To start, the food was really good but none of that matters if the service sucks. The waiter was very nice at first but seemed to get annoyed that we werent getting a ton of food and spending a lot of money which is confusing because I ordered an 18 dollar drink and my husband also got a drink. Me and my husband always split food and rarely get two mains and an appetizer because its just a lot especially if we want desert. This seemed to annoy the waiter and he barely checked in with us after that! All of this was annoying but honestly wasnt the biggest deal until it got worse at dessert! When I called and told them it was my husbands 30th and asked if they did anything, they said they brought something out with a candle. I wasnt sure if we had to order something or if they brought something small out but regardless were way too full and didnt want dessert so we just ordered two coffees. This is where it gets good (see attached photo). Another waitress brings two coffees out with a shot glass FILLED WITH SALT with a sparkler in it and says you didnt get dessert. I still cant believe this happened and at that point, just dont bring anything out!! Also, are you hurting that bad for money you cant make a tray of something cheap to give out for birthdays? Even if not, fill it with whip cream but SALT? Just absolutely insane and I still cant believe this happened still. This was very upsetting for a milestone birthday especially since we drove 40 minutes to come based on recommendations. Overall food was good but the atmosphere and service gave off a stuck up vibe.
Food was good, calamari was awesome for the price felt high however it was really is enough for 2 people there was a lot of fish. The pizza dough was cooked to perfection and the Gucci pizza was very tasty would have it again.
Excellent food choices. Love the regional selections. Hidden gem of a restaurant Vegetarian options: Lots of choices Kid-friendliness: Great option
Thank you very much for our pleasant experience today. We celebrated pur sons birthday. He was pleased with his pasta, birthday song, and dessert. The atmosphere is outstanding and the food is yummy. Will definitely come back! Thank you again

You made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. You re food is absolutely amazing. The pizza is truly to die for. The giraffe fritte desert was aslo to die for. This restaurant is a must visit. It does everything right.
Great food, great service
The best!!!
Thank you, Marco and staff. Great food and service. Desert was not perfect, but they made things right. I will definitely come back again!
Had a nice time here with my family.
The best carbonara in the gta. Nice ambiance and great service. Food
Too many tables in the space, but the food is incredible. The reason you need to avoid the space is because the kitchen staff cannot get the food out at the same time. By the time the food arrives you have a 50/50 chance it s already cold or cold by the time the rest of the table gets their food. Been here twice and the same experience both times.
Way too expensive. The restaurant is nice, service was good but the prices are very high. There are other Italian restaurants that are just as good, but more affordable.
Been twice and just love the food From the service to the food My new favorite spot
This place is so cute..the food was amazing and the service was awesome. Will definately return
The locals know. Giro dItalia is a veritable tour of Italy that serves a monthly regional menu based on the different regions of the country. We had the spaghetti Blu mare, Gucci pizze, and polpo. The seafood in the spaghetti was a standout as well the squid ink pasta itself. The truffle and prosciutto on the pizza made for an exceptional combination. The octopus was well cooked, but a tad over charred in some parts. The complimentary ciabatta and olive oil was very good as well. A great homey restaurant with a modern twist.
Quaint little, high end eatery which rotates a monthly a regional Italian menu. Vibe is not pretentious as some places in the area tend to be. Server was awesome (Christina). Pizza was amazing , pastas a little small for the price. Best dish was the Burrata app! Avoid the veal main, over sauced and veggies were burnt and could not finish. Wines are fairly priced.
What a great place to enjoy amazing Italian food with friends. They allowed us to enjoy an evening with friends, didnt rush us out.
Birthday celebration on Sunday brunch time! Good food, nice atmosphere, excellent service
Fantastic , food , atmosphere everything was excellent
Fantastic Food, Unbelievable service and a great selection of wines. Ask for Marco or Tomaso for your server and you wont be disappointed.
Food was good. 60 dollars for a 14 dollar bottle of Prosecco is a bit much. Service was very good. I wouldn t go back though
A slice of ! Loved the live singer with Italian background music throughout the evening, and Kristen, our server, was excellent, attentive, and very pleasant.
A friend brought me here for my first time. The food was wonderful, the staff was incredible. Im looking forward to coming back with my wife!
2023 December 4 Step inside from the concrete exterior façade and youll be transported to Italy. Here, their theme is that they serve foods from all parts of Italy. Its like a flavor tour of the country. PUGLIA: FRITTO MISTO DI PARANZA $30 Deep fried calamari, shrimp, octopus, carrots and zucchini served with lemon aioli. Non greasy and light batter. Pretty good. Would recommend. MOLISE: BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO $42 Fresh burrata drizzeled with extra virgin olive oil, served with sliced ltalian prosciutto, homemade fresh focaccia and arugola salad. The bread, almost pizza like, was very good. The saltiness from the cheese and the bitterness a great combination. Its a perfect appetizer. A definite recommend. LOMBARDIA: OSSOBUCO ALLA MILANESE $40 A classic dish from Lombardia, Braised veal ossobuco served with saffron polenta and vegetables of the day. Soft textured Beef and corn meal. The beef was nice, the corn meal was ok. LOMBARDIA: TORTA SBRISOLONA $11 Typical dessert from Mantova, house made almond crumble pie filled chocolate pastry cream. Was ok. A bit dense. CAMPANIA: GRAFFE FRITTE $13 House made fried donuts coated in white sugar and drizzled with pistachio cream, mascarpone, and Nutella, topped with toasted crumbled pistachios. Very light. Nicely done. The beer was good. A bit sweet. The staff was good. Parking free. Would come again.
