My first time. Took 10 of my good friends. What a great experience. Food was 5star,service was amazing. Our server Guilia was incredible. It was a super busy nite but she was still able to meet all our needs& food came fast& piping hot& fresh. I have stomach issues& ser er .et all my requests. I ordered the swordfish meal. It was a good portion& so done to perfection. Def coming back& suggest others try this place

It was our first time at this amazing restaurant! We took our son to celebrate his birthday and didnt know what to expect but we all agreed this is a hidden gem From the fabulous friendly service by our waitress Julia, to the divinely delicious entrees, we couldnt of picked a better spot to celebrate Thank you for the great experience!

The food was not as expected. Grilled calamari under cooked. (It even looked greyish in color, and very chewy.) polenta meh,,, had better.... Steak I should have known better. Keg is way better. Mussels were not bad. Not to mention we had to kill a bug while we were eating. I thought I was seeing things when I saw it crawling along my husbands shoulder. I was mortified. Lets just say Ill never be going back!

Visited this restaurant for the first time Sunday Nov 10. Waitress Julia was very friendly and gave good service. Ordered the following items: Diavola pizza - was very good, crust was cooked perfectly and toppings were good Gnocchi with meat sauce - was good, the gnocchi pasta was very fresh and melted in your mouth. Here s where things didn t go well - the Penne Alla Vodka - there is definitely a distinct cheddar cheese smell and flavour in this sauce, there is absolutely no vodka taste in the sauce and ham was used, maybe this is what changes the flavour? pancetta or bacon is not used. We couldn t continue to eat it because of this taste. We even asked twice what was in the sauce, because the cheddar taste was overpowering. The recipe for this dish definitely needs to be changed. We have eaten Penne Alla Vodka at multiple Italian restaurants and even make it at home and it has never had a cheddar cheese taste to it.

Dined here last night and had an amazing experience, staff was all so welcoming and our server Renne was great! food was all amazing the espresso martinis were delicious and gnocchi was perfect! beautiful restaurant all around, highly recommend coming here in woodbridge!

I dont usually leave ratings for restaurants, but after the service and food we got last night at my daughters birthday party, I had to say something! First, our host - Roberto - was AhMazing! We had a party of 34 people, and when we arrived, we asked if our party could be moved to a cosier section. Roberto did not hesitate and said give me some time to clear it out and clean it and its yours! Thank you for being so accommodating Roberto!!! On top of that - serving 34 people at once is not an easy task, but all our appetizers, drinks and main courses came out together when they were served. No-one was left waiting long once the food started to arrive. They also allowed us to bring our own cake and they cut it and served it for our guests. Lastly, the food was great - serving large parties can sometimes mean compromising on quality of food. But they did not disappoint, everyone LOVED their meals. And we had multiple foodies in the crowd. Our party left buzzing about the experience. Thank you! Five Stars!!!

1. Sangria: taste like syrup with sparkling water. Very tasteless. The worst sangaria I had in years 2. Capreciossa pizza: the sauce is fused very well with artichoke. Fresh ingredients. Exactly well baked with nice crust around. 3. Stuffed chicken: extremely salty. I mean extremely extremely. If not because of that. I would love this chicken a lot. 4. Service: super uncomfortable service. When she introduced the dishes, asking how was the food, etc. instead of asking everyone. She only asked my partner. That s why I did not even get to complaint about my chicken lol. 5. Restaurant setting: beautiful place with nice view and not busy and not noisy. (Monday evening at 7 pm)

One of the best Italian places I ve ever been to! Outstanding.

Just had my bridal shower here yesterday. Everything was so perfect! It was more then what I hoped for. It was my first time dining here and the staff went above and beyond! Thank you to the owners for making this process so fun and easy. I will definitely be back here very soon! Also the pastas were so delicious..can t stop thinking about it haha

I had a party of 21. The owner was a pleasure to deal with during planning and I took his advice for the menu and it was absolutely perfect! The food was beautiful, authentic Italian with gorgeous presentation and good portion sizes. Everyone loved it! Employee Joey looked after my party and delivered exceptional service and went above and beyond, he cared as though it was his own restaurant, a few of my guests mentioned to me how great he and the service was during the party. Couldn t have been happier and highly recommend! Will be returning soon, thank you!

First time here, food was fantastic and for the quality of food cost was reasonable.

Based on great reviews we placed a take-out order. Perhaps there is a difference when you order for takeout versus eat in because we found the food to be over priced and of poor quality. The Cacio e Pepe should be called Pepe a burro - it was very heavy on the pepper which was the overwhelming flavor, and the sauce was mostly butter with cheese sprinkled on top. I know it s hard to replicate authentic cacio a pepe outside Italy, but this didn t even come close. We also ordered a mista salad with chicken. For $28 we had a side-salad for two comprised of wilted low quality romaine lettuce and a few tomatoes and cucumbers. There was nothing mixed about it, and was definitely not worth the price. To be fair, we didn t order a variety of food - perhaps their specialties are their other dishes.

As a vegetarian, options were limited atfor me, but what I had was impressive. The Margherita Pizza was genuinely authenytic and FRESH ! The Bruschetta, with its fresh, zesty tomatoes, was a perfect appetizer and so is the Arancini. Amazing place, definitely coming back. Vegetarian options: Without hesitation you can try Arancini and Bruschetta.

This restaurant was excellent. The pasta was great. I highly recommend the cacio e pepe pasta.

I ordered the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare and the pistachio ricotta cake and everything was absolutely delicious. 10/10 everything. My family of 4 had dinner on Feb 6th for my husbands bday. Im Italian so when it comes to Italian food, Im extremely picky. First off let me start by saying that Cassandra our waitress was the sweetest waitress weve ever had. Patient, charismatic and so attentive to each one of us. Maria was also nearby with a smile attending to everything and anything. It was nice having her bring our food because her strong Italian accent made it seem as if we were in a little cozy place back in Calabria. We ordered antipasto, grilled calamari, fried calamari, 3 types of pasta, pizza and steak with sides. Everything was absolutely amazing. Pure authentic Italian food. Even the bread basket was amazing. The dessert: tiramisu and this warm, fried dough that they served with sugar and cinnamon dipped in wait for it .. Nutella, WOW!!! My 22 year old son doesnt have much of a sweet tooth but he devoured this. (I know that theres a Spanish dessert similar or same to this but this in all of our opinion, was the best weve ever had) The restaurant had a nice ambiance. The staff was just welcoming and everyone had a smile and we never felt rushed. Thank you Cosimo for coming to greet us and wish my husband a happy birthday. Thank you to both Cassandra and Maria, you ladies are so sweet and thank you to the ones behind the scenes who Im sure put their heart and soul into the pure authentic food for us picky Italians who compare everything to nonna! Ill keep this review short and sweet, the service was impeccable. The gentleman who was our waiter, was stellar and very polite. He came to check up on us frequently and made sure everything was up to par. The food was delicious, and hands down the best tiramisu I have had. My pasta was great, and the grilled calamari tasted amazing. Everything was priced very reasonably, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered a Margherita pizza and it was AH-MAZING. So delicious, and I can tell it was made with love. I ordered for takeout so I didn t get the dine in experience. As a professional food critic, I recommend Il gatto e la volpe restaurant and its terrific menu! The pasta with creamy tomato sauce was done in such perfection! New York steak tends to melt into your mouth in a flavourful way. The salad served with grilled chicken was set in a fancy creation of display which makes it wonderful and creative. The majority of its pasta menu is homemade and the bread is homemade as well. All types of food listed on its menu are controlled in portions. Therefore, this restaurant is my top pick overall in Ontario Canada, so continue onwards with the enjoyment of eating responsibly. Dietary restrictions: A gluten-free option is available on its pasta menu.

All I can say about this restaurant is that if you havent been you are missing out. This is by far the best Italian restaurant in Vaughan if not in all of Ontario. We celebrated my granddaughters confirmation there and had a pre-arranged set menu. The food was exceptional, served hot, generous and beautifully presented . The staff did an outstanding job! They were all very friendly and very attentive to all details making our dining experience memorable. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful gem.

The location, if you know it, used to be Ice Cream Patio. The food is nice and the specials are always interesting. If open to suggestions, I would say a few more options on the menu would be great.

Got the diavola, cacio e pepe, and tiramasu. The pizza took me back to Naples. The dessert took me back to my favorite resturant in Rome. Pasta was delicious but not at the level Ive had in Itay. Will be back for sure!

We recently dined at this restaurant for my mothers birthday. We were a party of 13. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the salmon and it was absolutely amazing. I switched the salad to a pomodori (tomatoe) salad. For $32 this was worth every penny. I would definitely eat here again. Dietary restrictions: We also have a family member that is celiac. They accommodated very well. No upset stomach after eating! This made it very relaxing for us.

Parking: The parking lot is big but the evening we visited there were 3 confirmation parties at the restaurant so it was busier than normal. Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly, staff is super friendly and nice with my kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Only one wheelchair accessible parking spot near the restaurant, which is disappointing to be honest. The spot wasnt near the entrance.

The best Italian restaurant in Woodbridge

I was so looking forward to trying this restaurant. Im giving it a 3 star because the food was average, nothing exceptional or different from any other restaurant in the area. However, the service was awful. They were taking drinks away before we were done, the antipasto dishes we ordered were coming in stages not together, the main dishes came a looooooong time after we were done our antipasto and they missed bringing my husbands salad and Im not sure if we were charged for it as our friends picked up the tab treating me to for my birthday. I was really disappointed as the reviews I read were favorable. The restaurant is pretty they did a great job on renovating but not sure I would try this restaurant again.

I am so ecstatic that there is finally an amazing restaurant in this area with quality great delicious food! I am used to Woodbridge and all their restaurant and amazing food options so coming to this area a foodie like me was a big let down on the dining options in the area. But now I am so happy. I got take out from this place twice and will be a regular and looking forward to actually dining inside soon but wow! I first got the Cacio e Pepe, foccacia and rapini. All three items were delicious and well cooked. Today I got the veal scallopini with fries and the pomodori salad . Again all delicious. Thanks you for opening a location here.

Wow The crew at Il Gatto e La Volpe hosted a Celebration of Life family gathering for us mid-February. I want to start off by saying my family is a traditional Italian family, our dining standards are exceptionally high. My first cousin is a chef by trade. My Mother and aunts have extensive culinary experience to say the least. What a refreshing experience to receive true customer service - I gotta tell you, it s been a while since I ve had that. There are really no words to explain, the food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared elegantly. Excellent atmosphere, I could see it being a romantic place to dine with my husband on our own in the future. I highly recommend this place. Please visit first, and thank me later

Great food. Authentic Italian. The risotto was probably my favourite but the stuffed chicken and tiramisu dessert were also amazing. My favorite thing actually was not one specific dish. It was that I could taste the fresh herbs like basil and parsley. The charming Italian accents and smiles on the wait staff were also a great touch. ;) Ill definitely be back again. My only flag is that their sign is small and could be easy to miss. When you pull up, look to the left while facing the Plaza. Look for a small Il gatto e la volpe sign on the glass above the glass door. I think the place just opened recently and they might be planning on getting a bigger sign. Anyway, there were quite a few people there so I guess people are finding it just fine. Buon appetito

Il Gatti e il Volpe is definitely the best Italian restaurant in town. The food brings back home. The authenticity in the food is dead on. This restaurant is so amazing I have tried almost everything on the menu do far in so little time that is has been opened and let me tell you, I cant tell you what is my favorite dish because it all so delicious. You will not disappoint I promise. The food service and the staff are all amazing.

Just recently had a small party for a birthday celebration at il Gatto e la Volpe. The owners Cosimo and Giocondo (Joe) are great. Cosimo was very courteous on the phone when I booked the party. Joe was VERY helpful when I sat down with him to choose the menu. The food was AMAZING, the portions are very big (many doggy bags went home) and the service was great. Joe and his staff were very attentive. Looking forward to going back and ordering a la carte. Because this restaurant is located in an outdoor mall, there is lots of parking available. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Really enjoyed the food at this place. Servers were very polite and friendly. Where it lost a star for me is considering the place was not busy it did take a very long time to get a few pasta and chicken dishes compared to similar places. My penne was slightly overcooked, the flavor was delicious and on point just the cook was a little off. I would absolutely recommend trying this place if you have not been in the atmosphere of the interior felt very casual. However, the tables were dressed up in a very white tablecloth formal manner. I may dress more semi-formal for this place. Parking: Doesnt fee like a lot of parking if the place was busy. Thankful today it was not.

Beautiful place with a large outdoor patio for the summer, very well kept. Very clean place. Great service. The food is of quality and very close to the Italian taste. Menu with the possibility to tastefully choose what you like best. Very important factor why this place makes the difference is that they use tablecloths on the tables, which is very appreciated by Italians, since in 90% of restaurants in Toronto it is not done. Prices in the standard for the city of Toronto. The owners, two Italians who have a keen desire to put customers at ease with the best possible service. You need to try.

If you want authentic Italian food this is the place. Great food and wonderful service. Loved it.

Best Italian food in Woodbridge and service is amazing !!

Hugely disappointed. The food was far from cheap. They had tons of fruit flies circling the food.

Very good Italian restaurant with and informal vibe. Their mushroom risotto with truffle is out of this world. Giving it 4 stars as we went for the dinner and the music was reagaeton, not what you expect when you go for a nice dinner at an Italian restaurant.

We had a very beautiful family dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice and clean. Plenty of parking is available. The menu selection was well thought out. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and very authentically Italian and the restaurant is run by Italians who put their heart and soul in every dish. The presentation of the food was very inviting and the portions were just right. We shared tasty appetizers and each had a different dish. The pasta dishes were delicious and the pizza was the best I have had. The tiramisu was a big hit with us all. This restaurant deserves a visit. You will definitely want to come back.

This was my first time at this restaurant. It was amazing service from start to end. We had the pleasure of having Cassandra as our server, she was absolutely amazing and attentive to our tables needs. The food was amazing Will definitely give good recommendations & return.
