This place is a hidden gem! Don't let its location in an industrial business area fool you, the food, wine and service is excellent. Even though they're only 7 months old, they've got strong service and food. To start, we had: - meatballs and garlic toast (saucy and delicious on the toast) - garlic shrimp and garlic toast (garlicky and served with a fresh salad that brought good balance to the savouriness) For mains: - Casareccia (mushroom and chicken pasta in a cream sauce, savoury and light) - Il Forno roasted chicken (great sauce and flavour with garlic mash) - Roasted rack of lamb (cooked medium perfectly with excellent sides) - Linguine pescatore (a massive portion of perfectly cooked pasta and seafood - definitely enough for two meals) With the pear and gorgonzola salad on the side, and tiramisu and chocolate mousse for dessert. The reviews may surprise you, especially given the well-lit photos, but with great wine, plating and lighting this place is really good - surprised us too!
It’s great spot for food and I love the pizza. Employees are very friendly and food is very tasty. Was hungry so forgot to take pics when we got food.
Really awesome food! I'm extremely picky about food...and they did not disappoint. Mushroom ravioli was to die for (my choice) and my husband had the veal sandwich with fries. Superb fries - crispy outside, soft inside (he shared). He said the sandwich was great, too. Restaurant was exceptionally clean (also the bathrooms) and very cozy. Don't miss this place - it will probably become one of your favorites!
I was drawn to Il Forno based on the reviews, and it did not disappoint. Simply delicious with good service. Will be coming back in the future.

Had Saturday lunch there. There were no other customers for most of the lunch. Overall food was good and staff was nice. We had pear-gorgonzola salad, meat lasagna & shrimp risotto. Nothing blew our mind but food was good, especially the pear-gorgonzola salad. It seems they are famous for their pizzas, maybe next time.
Traveling from the U.S.A., I recently had the pleasure of dining at iL Forno in Woodbridge, ON, Canada, and it has quickly become one of my favorite Italian restaurants. During my visits, I tried the Mediterranean pizza, chicken fricassee, grilled rib eye, and salmon fillet. Each dish was exceptionally delicious, with generous portions that left me more than satisfied. The Mediterranean pizza had a perfect blend of flavors, with a crisp crust and fresh toppings. The chicken fricassee was tender and savory, while the grilled rib eye was juicy and flavorful. The salmon fillet was another highlight, perfectly grilled with delightful seasoning. The presentation of the food was also excellent, adding to the meal's enjoyment. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was outstanding. The staff were attentive and friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. The restaurant's ambiance created a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was so impressed by the authentic taste of the food and the overall experience that I have returned to iL Forno multiple times. It truly stands out as one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever tried, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
They make out of this world pizza. Very authentic and very Italian. They have got varieties of Italian food. I also tried their tiramisu cake, soft and melted in my mouth. Loved the environment. Very clean and specious restaurant. The food is very tasty and staffs are very helpful and kind. We will for sure visit this place again. Thank you Chef!
Always love dining in at Il Forno. The food is amazing, and I cannot get enough of their Salmon Fillet, and the Gnocchi Rosé. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, plus the staff are friendly and attentive.
Have a feeling this is place is good for quick lunch hence high reviews but went for a weekend dinner and it was dead. Appetizers were very basic, the calamari was cooked well but shape and texture leads me to believe it was previously frozen, not a traditional Italian fresh calamari. The pasta was good but pizzas werent great unfortunately. The dessert left some to be desired as it also seemed pre bought. Was looking forward to booking catering but not so sure.

Tried their food once and we absolutely loved it. We even tried their catering service just yesterday and they did not disappoint too. Our guests loved the food! Farnaz was really kind to print the dinner menu for our guests. Service was excellent. Highly recommended!
The restaurant looks nice, good atmosphere, service was ok. Group of 4, 2 ordered pasta which was good, 2 ordered pizza which was the WORST pizza i have ever ate in Italian restaurant. Really bad! It s not really a pizza but some kind of 1/2 flat bread which doesn t seem even close to a pizza, let alone Napolitan style, extremely expensive for something like that. I didn t enjoy it at all. I ate in tons of Italian restaurants in Ontario and also in Italy, hands down the worst pizza I ever ate and the most expensive I ever paid for not getting a pizza. I don t know how can you ruin something like pizza, but they did it. I gave them 2 stars because of the pasta. Huge disappointment.
Seafood pasta was well made. Pasta Al dente as it should be. Lamb shank plate was ahhhhmazzzing!! Highly recommend this hidden gem. The Italian trained chef knows what he s doing!
Based on one of my friends s recommendation, we went to try this restaurant. We ordered Grilled Calamari, Lamb Shank, and IL Forno Roasted Chicken Breast. The chef personally checked in with us to receive our feedback. The food was presented in exactly the same way, the pictures were displayed in the online menu - it was truly a fine dining experience at an authentic Italian restaurant.

Wow, what an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the fast and attentive service. I ordered the prime rib sandwich, and oh my goodness it was perfection. The meat was incredibly tender, making it hands down the best sandwich I ve ever had. The staff were lovely, warm, and welcoming, adding to the great atmosphere. And the prices? Unbelievably reasonable for the quality of food you get. I honestly can t wait to go back again! Highly recommended!
I ve been to Il Forno plenty of times, one of my favourite restaurants to come to for lunch, dinner or just get takeout. Service is always fast and efficient and staff are always friendly and welcoming. The menu has lots of delicious options to choose from aswell, some of my favourite dishes are the Mushroom Ricotta Ravioli and the BBQ Chicken Pizza

Brisket sandwich was awesome. My kids tried the lasagna and pizza, they emptied the plates. My wife had the chicken risotto and she enjoyed it. All in all great new restaurant. Parking: Lots of parking available.

If you re looking for phenomenal catering services, I highly recommend Il Forno. I worked with Shamim to provide catering service for our daughter s graduation party. Shamim was phenomenal and made the entire processes of choosing our menu for our guests simple and affordable. Shamim provided excellent recommendations and ensured our satisfaction. Communication was fantastic and the food was packaged so professionally. We are still receiving many praises about how delicious the food was. What impressed us greatly was that Shamim checked in with us the following day to ask how our event went. That is quality customer service.
Third time I ve came and food was very consistent and delicious. Had the garlic shrimp Alfredo pasta and it was honestly the best I ve ever had. 10/10 would come again.

I dont usually give reviews. But after eating at this restaurant I couldnt stop myself from giving a review. Their food quality is very high and tasty. Eating their food makes me realize that cooking is an art. I ordered their Pesto Chicken Pizza and Cheese Cake. The food is amazing. I really like their food and service. Will definitely come again.

Il Forno impressed! Fresh decor and a very warm and inviting ambiance, friendly service, and incredible food. We devoured the Mushroom Ravioli, Branzino Fillet, Penne Arrabbiata, and perfectly cooked Il Forno Chicken. The Penne Arrabbiata was my favorite. It had just the right amount of spice for a satisfying kick and a rich and flavorful sauce perfectly coated every noodle. The Chicken Parmesan was a classic done exceptionally well the chicken was juicy and unbelievably tender, encased in a perfectly crisp breading. The Ravioli was done very well too, the flavour was perfect. Highly recommend! Well definitely be coming back!

Small restaurant with Italian-oriented cuisine. It seemed clean and wasnt completely full. The staff was friendly. We ordered drinks, a salad and pizza. The drinks were served in cans. We had to pour ourselves into the glasses that were already there. The US-style pizzas were tasty overall, even if the rectangular shape was a bit unusual. The value for money was excellent, with the bill coming to just under $100 CAD for four people, salad and pizzas.
Just went in this evening for the very first time just to try it out. .. The best lasagna I ever and cant wait to go back next weekend to try out others. and let me tell you the lasagna was a nice full plate loaded with beef.. .. i left with a happy stomach. Ill be back Josie Food
