Midtown Bistro in Vernon

Nice little restaurant with good sliders. However our order was messed up, and the Mac n cheese we got was still frozen on the bottom. The bathroom wasnt fully cleaned and the paper towel dispensary was empty. Add that to sitting and watching the cook staff repeatedly sneeze and cough into their hands then promptly grab food makes me not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food is outstanding and it s one of the best values in town. Pricing very fair.

Had dinner with my teenage daughter, and we decided to treat ourselves to something nicer than the usual fast food. We had a great time! The vibe was relaxed, and the service was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious I ll definitely be back! I think I ll keep it this way, bringing just one of my kids or my lovely husband next time, to keep it special and budget-friendly.

This was the best food I have ever ate! I came in with my friend, service was so bright and wonderful, our food, oh my gosh!!!! It was sooo filling and so flavourful and so delicious!! And dont get me started on how amazing the hakusp cheesecake was!!! It was absolutely divine!!! The buns were fresh, fluffy and oh so flaky! The soup was a explosion of flavour each bite!!! And the cheese cake was such a fluffy and yet so pretty design cheese cake!! I felt like a princess eating!! I wish i could show you the photos! Oh and I also had an AMAZING drink! Had a cranberry? Hakusp? Whiskey Sour. I dont fully remember the name but everything was perfectly blended, the fruit was so fresh tasting in the drink and the colour was beautiful Vegetarian options: I have not tried them, but I WILL be coming back to try them but they are there! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options and are so clear about it on their menu, they also have vegetarian options to! Kid-friendliness: Theres good portions and food! Kind workers! And just a lovely sitting area!

Had the cheeseburger sliders with Thai salad and was really blown away! The salad captured my attention right away with a definite Thai peanut aftertaste! The sliders tasted homemade and the buns felt and tasted like they just came out of the oven! I will definitely be back!

I love that this place has a little bistro on the sidewalk and its super cute inside. Service was pretty slow today, although friendly. Food was okay/good. I ordered a Dessert Charcuterie Board to share with friends while they were visiting from Alberta. I couldn t have been more impressed, The presentation was fabulous but the taste was even better, the carrot cake was phenomenal. The price was also very reasonable and overall it was a huge hit. I will definitely be returning when I host future parties!

Worst cheesecake I have ever had ! Over priced cheesecake that doesn t even taste like a cheesecake . Got the salted caramel cheese cake, looks good but tastes like butter. Now I have throat ache after consuming that.

Reasonable food but rather unexciting. For example, the charcuterie was mostly grocery store basics. Small selection of beer in the fridge served without a glass.

All I can say is WOW. We got a large charcuterie board for Christmas. And not only was it huge and arranged beautifully. It was DELICIOUS. Every single item was so tasty I have nothing but good things to say. well done and I ll definitely be in, in 2023 to try more of your food!!!

An absolute delight. We had an assuming lunch stir fry, and the flavour was so epically balanced. I split it with my wife and I had 30% of it and afterwards felt cheated - couldn t get the taste out of my mouth and wished I had it all. Price was very fair, great energy, nice music, friendly service, and calm vibe. Also they made some surprisingly great cocktails. Highly recommended!

The food was fantastic and they were very accommodating to our family, bringing our son out a little fruit and veggie snack plate. I had the chicken orchietta pasta and the pear and goat cheese salad which were amazing! Well be back for sure. Reasonably priced, good value.

The meat is fresh. The spicing is adventurous and delicious. The service is friendly and fast. The atmosphere is inviting and cosy. The cushioned chairs are very comfortable. Definitely a place to go to!

Hi, I would like to bring to your attention that the door and the entrance for the skip delivery drivers are too bad. And its such a disgusting feel to enter through there. I will never accept any more orders from this restaurant at any cost. I never had such a filthy acceptance or a waiting space in my entire food delivery experience. I still remember the best experience I got from you guys when I came as a guest. But now as a delivery driver, its the worst thing I have ever seen. Now I realise why my friends warned me when I accepted to pickup from there. Well, thank you.

Once a gem of Vernon, food quality is not quite what it was although, still tasty. Service has really fallen, not quite the level it used to be.

When you walk into this bistro you are greeted by a welcoming smile and beautiful art work on the walls. The menu showcases gluten free options and Canadian produce and products to chose from. Jada willingly guides you through the choices to make sure you are perfectly satisfied. I ordered the Thai praws dinner and an extremely large pour of SANDHILL prio gris. On plate were more than a half dozen large perfectly cooked praws covered with a sauce that didnt overwhelm the seafood, accompanied by a bed of mixed cooked vegetables, flavored jasmine rice and a very large side salad covered with more vegetables. And a side of coleslaw which was delicious! The portion size was very generous and I took the salad home. The guests picking up food and sitting at the tables were very complimentary of the service and food, also! This is a gem of a restaurant on 30th in downtown Vernon. The wait staff and the chef did everything to make this a memorable dining experience. I hope you are able to drop in and dine at Midtown Bistro when you are in Vernon BC.!

First time here. Friend recommended as I told her have been disappointed lately in dining out. I understand prices had to increase from past years but usually the quality has been disappointing. Well..not this place! We sat outside and enjoyed the sidewalk bustle. It was difficult to choose as the nenu had so many options. Finally settled on pulled pork sliders with a side. Forgot to take a photo of it ..but look at this carrot cake! Just fantastic. Inside dining as well, and licenced. Its going to be my new go to fav.

Upon walking in, we were greeted by our waitress. The art on the wall was playful and fun! The waitress was awesome and made us feel comfortable. The food was excellent. Thai Salad (with chicken) was well dressed and had the perfect amount of heat. Pear Goat cheese salad (with chicken) was so tasty, and the pears, the caramelized pecans, and figs were brilliant! The Pot Roast was a completely satisfying meal (the cooked veggies were crisp and done to perfection). Two desserts - Hawaiian carrot cake was as phenomenal as the presentation, while the Haskap cheesecake was a light delight with the best amount of a tart sweetness blend. Thank you! We will be back!

Midtown bistro catered our wedding and the food was excellent! All our guests commented on how delicious the meal was. We couldn t be happier! We also ordered the dessert charcuterie and the carrot cake which was a huge hit. Would definitely recommend for catering and dining in.

Amazing food, good portion sizes and friendly service. My fiancé had the pot roast dinner with macaroni. I had the Thai salad with shrimp and cornbread. Everything was delicious. We even went back to grab a pot roast dinner to go for my father.

FOOD was absolutely amazing and loved it however I work in the restaurant industry and it was a bit chaotic. The servers were trying their best but seemed a bit overwhelmed. They gentlemen who was there was very ignorant and rude. It took us half an hour to eat after recieving our food (we have children ,so its not a quick eat and leave. ) He asked our table to hurry up and leave because other customers needed our table. I have never had that in the hospitality industry and am appalled by this service, then they tried to overcharge for drinks which we had to go over with them, charged us for an extra wrap that we didnt order so had to correct that and then the bacon jam was never put on the sliders so had to ask about that ,and was made to feel like it was an inconvenience to even ask. Once again the food was amazing but I find the staff to be lacking and need better customer service .

We went there from referral from some friends that live in Vernon. I got the thai prawn wraps with mac and cheese and my fiance got the butter chicken. The food was exceptional. Probably the best food we have had in a while. I took 1 star away due to service. It was lacking a bit. I would 100 percent go back and recommend this place.

The food was awesome! Pot roast was so good and prepared perfectly , Service and atmosphere were excellent! We drove all the way from Kelowna only for this. Our first try was last summer, Service was great and full of smiles. Definitely a good restaurant to try.

Our meals were delicious and the owners were so accommodating and changed the outdoor table layout for our group. We were visiting with old friends who we hadn t seen for a long while and the owners let us stay visiting longer. We so so appreciated all that they did to make our experience memorable. My husband and I enjoy this tiny restaurant in Vernon for a couples night out. While their menu is somewhat limited - the food is always fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and the service is very efficient. Chairs are comfortable and tables well spaced. I have to admit, I have a real weakness for their pot roast and their carrot cake . Yum!!!!! At one point we will definitely try their charcuterie board.

The pulled pork sliders were packed full of tasty flavour with melt in your mouth meat. The salad was so fresh! Wonderful! Driving through Vernon, my wife and I wanted a nutritious lunch to tide us over for the rest of our trip. My wife needed GF and vegan. A quick search brought me to Midtown Bistro, and we are so glad it did. The food and service here was wonderful. My wife described her Stir Fry as among the best shes ever eaten. I was very pleased with my chicken club wrap with mashed potatoes. Our server - who I understood to be the co-owner - was so friendly and accommodating. Whenever I go through Vernon in the future, I will definitely be going back here.

We ate at Midtown this past Saturday and we both ordered the potato and bacon soup. What a disappointment. It was nothing but a potato broth With a small amount of potato and bacon. Tim Hortons soup is better! I swear all they did was open up a box of broth and add a few leftovers. The only reason I am giving this to stars is because the carrot cake was phenomenal

This is one of my favorite places for lunch In DT Vernon. I always order the charcuterie board and am so happy that they offer a gluten free option. It s the best charcuterie board I ve ever had and I ve since brought friends and family there just to try it and they are always blown away by the amazing customer service and delicious food. Once, the waitress came out and apologized because they had accidentally made a regular board instead of a gf one. She said they were remaking the board which I told her she didn t have to do, just switch out the crackers is fine. It was no inconvenience at all to us, we hadn t even been waiting long. Still, the kitchen made us up a large board with double the amount of food at no extra cost. We were blown away, in a time when so many places are clawing back service and proportions they went out of their way to give us more and make our experience exceptional. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Food was amazing, I cant have gluten and I was able to get something to eat. The staff were amazing and so nice!

Be sure to order the meatloaf sandwich and a glass of Pino Gris. Delicious. My friend and I were visiting from out of town and stopped by for lunch after a day of shopping (based on a recommendation from a lady we met in a book store). The tables outside look like a cutting board (very cool) and the waitress was kind enough to give us both a taster of the Pino Gris we were eyeing on the menu. Then the meatloaf arrived, and it was delicious. Cute, casual and on the light side. We would visit again.

Our waitress was phenomenal- a caring genuine human. The food is mediocre at best - butter chicken contains very little meat. Vegan burgers fall apart and are mush. There is a large blonde woman ( owner or manager?) Who was rude, sarcastic and abrupt. Her attitude was the motivation for me to never return.

I had the grilled cheese lunch special with a slight modification because of a strawberry allergy , the owner was very accommodating and it was super delicious ! If you haven t had one of Kelly s desserts make sure you stop by they are stunning ! Thanks so much will see you again soon

Midtown Bistro in Vernon is my fav!!! They use local, in season ingredients to mix up the best food and drinks in the Okanagan! My personal favorites are their Charcuterie boards, Pot roast dinner, Hawaiian carrot cake and whatever tasty cocktail is on special (they never disappoint!). The ways that the owners and staff at this bistro have literally bent over backwards to keep up with regulations and keep their soul food available during this pandemic is impressive- it hasnt been an easy road and theyve been able to maintain high quality food & service with every wrench that has been thrown their way. They have family sized meals to go and Im not kidding when I say that I love their pot roast so much Ive had it delivered 6 hours away in Alberta . The next time youre in the area (even if youre just driving through) do yourself the favor and indulge in all the goodness this magical little bistro has to offer!

Just had lunch here. Nice venue. Delicious food as usual. Atmosphere was lacking. The service wasnt bad but 2 of us ordered drinks. They brought one and not the other. Said the were very busy but would get it right away. It was a soda and flavoring, it never came. Our meals came and still no drink. Decided just to cancel it. Felt very rushed the whole time. Did not get the dining experience I expected. Probably wouldnt eat here again. I would get take out if anything.

Nice little place on the downtown strip in Vernon. Great wraps and healthy selections to choose from. Just off HWY 97. Instead of fast food check out this place if you are passing through town.

The ambiance at this restaurant is very quaint and cozy. The owner Kelly is so spot on with her ability to create fantastic meals and menus. Weve always enjoyed either a romantic dinner for 2 or a gathering with family. This is one of our favorite places to fine. Highly recommended.

Had the most amazing meal at Midtown Bistro. Butter chicken was a 10!!! The best part is I could go eat there and not be discriminated against for my medical choices. I highly recommend for everyone in the Okanagan. Thanks Midtown for your example of inclusion and incredible food.

Nice atmosphere. Hot beef sandwich disappointing. Waitress automatically asked ? Pear/ goat cheese salad? When ordering. Adds$3 to total . Pretty pricey sandwich then at $20. Read fine print.

So good! If youre wondering; the mash and veggies is spectacular(worth it) and not just some pile of potatoes and veg. So delightful! They give off good energy and vibes that 70% of the population doesnt possess. Will spend my $$$ again!

Great food and great people. My wife and I tried some of their sliders and they were absolutely delicious! Definitely will return.

Staying at Sparkling Hill and came out here for dinner. It blew us away! The food was damn delicious, and the plates were overflowing the way my parents would serve me. Staff was super nice and did I mention the food was damn delicious. Wish I could try everything on that menu. One and only tiny complaint is that a Whiskey Sour needs eggs whites! But I didnt even care about needing a new drink when that food got to the table.

Food here is AMAZING! the only thing I didnt care for was the politics. Didnt order it, but I got it anyway.
